Vivo is preparing to introduce the latest addition to the Vivo V29 series, known as the Vivo V29e. This upcoming device has already passed the BIS certification, hinting at an imminent Indian launch. Now, new reports have unveiled its appearance and specifications.

In a recent report by 91mobiles Hindi, leaked renders of the Vivo V29e have surfaced, offering us a glimpse of the device for the first time. Surprisingly, the smartphone appears to have a premium look, which is noteworthy, given that it belongs to the “e” series.

The Vivo V29e features a two-tone, color-changing back design coated with glass. It has two large camera cutouts on the back, paired with an LED flash. The sides of the device have a curved finish, along with a curved display. Additionally, the bezels are quite thin, and there is a centered punch hole for the front camera. According to the renders, the device will debut in Blue and Black color variants.

Other than that, MySmartPrice has leaked the specifications of the V29e 5G. According to the report, the device will feature a 120Hz display (likely FHD+ resolution) along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, with speculation pointing to the Snapdragon 480 5G or Snapdragon 480+ 5G chipset. The device will feature 8GB RAM along with 128GB and 256GB storage. On the software side, the Vivo V29e is rumored to run on Android 13-based FunTouchOS 13.

Although the brand has not made any official announcements regarding the device, it is expected to launch around the end of August.

The excitement around AI is growing rapidly, as evidenced by the popularity of features like ChatGPT, which have taken over the tech industry by storm. The majority of existing tools have incorporated AI over the past few months for a faster and more efficient experience. Microsoft’s Edge browser appears to be moving in this direction as well, with the addition of a new text rewriting feature borrowed from another Microsoft product, SwiftKey.

A recent Tweet by Leopeva64, who discovered a new option to rewrite a text in Microsoft Edge with Bing AI, confirms that this feature will soon be available for desktop users as well.

Features of the new Bing Rewriting Tool

Rewrite Text Selection: A GIF shared in the tweet reveals that the selected text will come with an option to rewrite and replace.
Tone: The “Adjust” button will allow users to select the Tone of the text for example casual and professional etc.
Format: There is also an option for changing Format, which will allow users to rearrange the text in a paragraph, email, or blog.
Length: Lastly the selected text length can be rearranged as short, medium, and long.

After you have made the adjustments, you can simply select the “Rewrite” button, and the text will be readjusted.

One thing to note is that this feature is currently in its testing phase; not everyone will have access to the “Ask Bing AI” option. But few desktop browsers have allowed Bing AI to be available in their toolbar, such as Google Chrome and Safari.

Apparently, this situation, which has also been trending on social media, has caught the attention of thieves.

Gen Con, the biggest board game convention in the world, took place recently. This year marked the 55th time the event was organized. It featured over 19,000 events, which included board games, card games, miniature games, role-playing games, live-action role-playing games, video games, and apparently, a couple of theft.

Unfortunately, Gen Con made headlines this year not for its events, but for a theft that occurred. Two unidentified thieves stole gaming cards worth as much as $300,000. They were seen on security footage, moving a pallet of cards out of the convention center. The exact cards that were stolen are unknown, but it is believed they are a mix of Magic: the Gathering, Pokémon Trading Card Game, and the unreleased Disney Lorcana.

On August 8th, 2023, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department announced that they had arrested two suspects in connection with the Gen Con theft. The suspects, who have not been identified, are facing charges of theft and burglary.

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has unveiled the Xiaomi Smart Display 8 Pro in China. The new smart display is the successor to the Smart Display 10 which was launched in April last year as well as the Smart Display 6 launched in July last year.

In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi Smart Display 8 Pro packs an 8-inch LCD screen. The smart home device can be used locally with the central gateway. It also runs on the MIUI Home OS and can be used to control other smart home gadgets. The device can also be used as a music and video streaming gadget. Thanks to its massive built-in 7500mAh battery, the device can be used for a long period without running out of battery.

Xiaomi is yet to reveal the entire hardware details of the device but it is expected to come with similar functionalities as its predecessor, including support for cross-device video calls, interconnection of mobile phones, TVs, and home screens, and remote surveillance of the home. In addition to the linkage control of over 3,000 smart devices, the built-in infrared remote control can also make traditional home appliances smart in seconds. Also, since this is a Pro model, we expect it to come with more sophisticated features.

The Xiaomi Smart Display Pro 8 is expected to be available on pre-sale on August 8. The company is yet to announce the official price of the device. However, it is expected to be in between the price of the Smart Display 10 priced at 999 yuan ($139), and the Xiaomi Smart Display 6 priced at 349 yuan ($48).

The changelog of the update only mentions reliability and stability improvements. But as the outlet points out, Samsung may release more details once the update reaches to South Korea. The company should post the detailed changelog in its community forums.

As previously mentioned, the update is currently only being rolled out in Thailand. Samsung is expected to extend this update to other regions in the coming days. If you own a Galaxy S23, S23+, or S23 Ultra, you will be able to download the August update from the phone’s “Settings” » “Software update” menu once it becomes available in your country.

In the near future, the Korean tech giant could also start the Android 14 beta for the Galaxy S23 series. Renders of the Xiaomi Fold 3 have surfaced online, further revealing the exact design of the upcoming foldable from the Beijing based tech giant. The leaks come from a known Weibo tipster from China, 定焦数码 (fixed focus digital).

Let’s take a look at the post and see what information is provided.

The post shows us images of the rear panel of Mix Fold 3, which are similar to the live image leaked earlier today. For those unaware, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 shares the same design language as the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2. Looking at the images, we can see that the Mix Fold 3 will have a quad camera instead of a triple rear camera, which will be tuned by LEICA. The rear panel will consist of a leather material, providing a premium feel to the phone.

The tipster has also revealed that the smartphone will have a 5x periscope telephoto Lens, which is a significant upgrade compared to the Mix Fold 2 (review) which has 2x optical and portrait zoom capabilities. The camera system will also have a 3.2x portrait mode.

Earlier reports have also teased us regarding a few Mix Fold 3 specs. Under the hood, the phone is speculated to have a 4,800mAh battery with 50W wireless charging and 67W charging. As for the processor, it should be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and have a storage capacity of 512GB/1TB of Universal Flash storage.

The exact launch date of the phone has yet to be confirmed. But with constant leaks and information, it is expected that it will be available by the end of this month.

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification, on the other hand, only reveals the model number. However, the authority hints the Galaxy A05 is nearing its Indian launch.

But apart from acquiring the gaming studio, the company seems to be planning some major changes to its existing Xbox series of consoles as well.

The American tech giant is looking to make a notable design change in an upcoming Xbox console. During a podcast interview, Shpeshal Nick stated that sources close to the matter have revealed that Microsoft will soon launch an Xbox Series X Digital edition that doesn’t house a disc drive. This would make it similar to the PlayStation 5 Digital edition.

The Xbox Series X without a disc drive would mean that it would be cheaper than a regular Series X console. Nick said that the brand is working on this model since a “lot of people have wanted for a while”. Apart from this, he added that Microsoft also has plans for other hardware in 2025. Unfortunately, he did not divulge any finer details regarding these upcoming products.

As of right now, Sony is rumored to be working on a PS5 Pro/PS6 refresh while Nintendo is believed to be planning a Switch 2 model. In a separate teaser, OnePlus seemingly confirmed that the Ace 2 Pro will pack 24GB RAM. The base variant will now start with 12GB RAM and there will be a 16GB option as well. The upcoming smartphone is already confirmed to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It will also be the world’s first smartphone to be equipped with an aerospace-grade three-dimensional cooling system called the Tiangong cooling system.

Meanwhile, leaks suggest that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will reportedly be backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 150W fast charging.

The South Korean tech giant announced its flagship Galaxy Tab S9 series last month. But recently, there were reports surfacing regarding an FE lineup as well. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ was spotted on FCC and the Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ monikers were confirmed earlier this month as well. Now, the latest sighting confirms the existence of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE global variant.

Based on the latest certification listing, this tablet carries the model number SM-X516B for the global version and supports a charger with the model number EP-TA800. Oppo Find N3 Flip gets MIIT certified ahead of China launch

Oppo is currently developing the next generation of foldable smartphones, slated for launch later this year. Leaked renders of the upcoming Oppo Find N3 Flip indicate that the design won’t undergo significant changes compared to its predecessor, the Find N2 Flip. Excitingly, the device has now obtained the MIIT certification, bringing it closer to its official release.

Spotted by TheTechOutlook, the Oppo PHT110, which is known to be the Oppo Find N3 Flip has emerged on the MIIT authority in China. The certification does not reveal any specifics regarding the hardware or design. Nevertheless, based on its predecessor’s global release, we anticipate the Find N3 Flip to make its debut in the global market as well.

OnePlus is gearing up to launch its first-ever foldable smartphone that is dubbed the OnePlus Open. With this device, the company will join other brands that also offer foldable phones. However, prior to any official announcement, a new leak has hinted at the possible Indian pricing for OnePlus Open.

The news arrives from known tipster Yogesh Brar, who shared a list of the company’s smartphones alongside their prices on Twitter. Looking at the tweet, Brar states that “OnePlus has the strongest lineup this year” and lists the Nord CE 3 Lite (20K INR), Nord CE 3 (30K INR), Nord 3 (40K INR), OnePlus 11R (50K INR), and OnePlus 11 (60K INR).

There was one more device on the list, which was the OnePlus Open. But unlike the other smartphones here, the Open has yet to be unveiled in the market. However, he shared that the Chinese smartphone maker’s ultra high-end folding phone will launch for under 1.2 lakhs INR. The company hasn’t officially launched the device or revealed its pricing details yet, but we have a possible figure now.

For under 1.2 lakhs INR, the Open model will carry a price tag just under the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. Unfortunately, this was all the details shared by the tipster.
