Get Apple’s Dynamic Island on your Android phone with this App

Apple finally chose to do something about the notch that many find unsightly. The new iPhone 14 Pro models come with a versatile feature that the company, for some reason, calls “Dynamic Island.” It is designed to surface various types of alerts, notifications, and interactions. However, Android users don’t need to feel left, there’s a free app on the Play Store that offers a similar experience on any Android smartphone.

A new app called DynamicSpot, which is developed by Jawomo, can mimic Apple’s Dynamic Island to some extent. The app is currently available for free on the Play Store, and it lets you adjust the position and size of the “island” based on where the notch is located on your Android device.

It also offers numerous customizations. It allows you to select what kind of notifications show up on your screen. Moreover, DynamicSpot can also show two popup notifications at once. The free version of the app comes with limited functions. However, if you wish to test its full potential, you can pay $4.99 and get the Pro option.

We didn’t try the paid version of the app ourselves. But the folks at Phonearena who gave it a shot suggest it unlocks more features. For instance, it gives users the ability to display DynamicSpot on the lock screen and access single-tap and long-press actions.

As mentioned, the app can be downloaded for free and has no ads. However, it is still in the beta phase and there could be some issues with the compatibility. Moreover, the app may even have some bugs.

In any case, this is your best chance to get Apple’s Dynamic Island on your Android phone until Android manufacturers decide to bring a similar alternative.

Redmi Note 11 Pro 2023 key specs revealed via multiple certifications

Now, the same device has appeared on FCC, EEC, and Google Play Console databases. So, let’s take a look at the details.

Starting off, the FCC listing reveals that the Redmi Note 11 Pro 2023 with model number 2209116AG runs on MIUI 13 out of the box. The EEC listing does not reveal any product details.

Coming to the Google Play Console listing, it shows that the device has a 1080 x 2400p resolution display with a 440ppi pixel density. The listing also mentions that the device has a Snapdragon 712 SoC, which is paired with an Adreno 616 GPU. Google Pixel tablet may feature 11 inch display & up to 256GB storage

Back in May 2022, Google had confirmed that it will be launching a new Android tablet in the market soon. This model is believed to be the Pixel Tablet, but prior to its announcement, a leak has revealed some key details regarding this device.

Google

For those unaware, the Search Engine giant has confirmed that the tablet will be launching sometime in 2023. However, new rumors and reports are still surfacing regarding this tablet. Now, developer Kuba Wojciechowski shared some specifications regarding the upcoming Pixel Tablet to 91Mobiles as he claims that the Pixel tablet enters EVT phase (engineering validation test). This EVT phase basically implies that the tablet is now outside of the prototype stage and the company is working on the finalizing the device.

This is both in terms of its design and internal specifications and other as well. Wojciechowski further added that the brand has even shipped some Pixel Tablet units to India as well, for EVT and certification purposes. While the Pixel Tablet is still under wraps, Kuba revealed that the tablet will come in two storage options, namely a 128GB and 256GB internal storage model. Its unclear if the RAM in these two options would be different as well.

Furthermore, the Pixel Tablet will sport a large 10.95 inch display and also support WiFi 6 standards. He also claimed that he spotted Google’s first party USI 2.0 stylus for the Pixel tablet, which isn’t completely unexpected since the tablet was already certified for USI previously. That was all the information shared by the developer, although, the device is believed to run on Google’s first gen Tensor SoC. So stick around for more updates.

Apple reportedly scales back iPhone 14 production due to lower demand

Apple recently unveiled its next-generation smartphones in the form of the Apple iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. This time, the company has replaced the Mini model with the Plus mode.

Now, as per the latest reports, the Cupertino-based technology giant is scaling back production of the iPhone 14 due to low demand for the latest model.

iPhone 14

According to the report from ITHome, which cites supply chain employees as a source to claim that Foxconn has been instructed to dismantle at least five production lines that were making the iPhone 14 in Zhengzhou, China.

Currently, it is not clear if the scale of production is only for the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 model or if it also includes the larger 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus.

This isn’t surprising given that the Apple iPhone 14 comes with the same display as the iPhone 13 model. It also packs a processor found in the iPhone 13 Pro instead of the latest one. It isn’t exciting for the customers, and they wouldn’t;t want to spend more money on the new model when they are essentially getting a phone similar to the last year.

On the other hand, a report from Ming-Chi Kuo indicates that Apple is ramping up the production of the iPhone 14 Pro, which is in high demand. He adds that the company is moving production resources from iPhone 14 to the iPhone 14 Pro to keep up with demand.

Black Shark FunCooler 3 Pro Review – Powerful Cooling Fan For Gaming

If there is an accessory that can significantly enhance your mobile gaming experience, then it is none other than a smartphone cooler. Especially for those who have purchased Snapdragon 888 or 8 Gen 1 phones, phone coolers have become a necessity for unleashing the chip’s best performance.

That’s why it’s time to check out a cooling fan from Black Shark, a well-known gaming phone brand. Black Shark recently upgraded their FunCooler to the latest 3 Pro version. This is probably the most powerful phone cooler you can buy.

Black Shark Fun Cooler 3 Pro Review 11

If you buy a Black Shark FunCooler 3 Pro, you get a cooler, a charging cable, and a bunch of instructions.

Black Shark Fun Cooler 3 Pro Review 09

After several upgrades, the FunCooler 3 Pro has become much larger, the color is only black and purple, and the design does not scream “Gaming” anymore. The body is plastic, but you can see the carbon fiber-like texture. The clip can be opened to a wide range of normal-sized phones without worrying about not being able to clip. When you open the cooler, you can see that the RGB light effect is still retained. You can certainly change the color, but you have to download their APP.

Black Shark Fun Cooler 3 Pro Review 08

What’s so “Pro” about this Pro version? FunCooler 3 Pro uses a large TEC module and 2200mm2 copper thermal pad, which can reduce the temperature by up to 30℃. After our test, the cooler was only 2.5℃ at the coldest point at a room temperature of 27℃. We also got a phone that gets hot very easily: the Xiaomi 12 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. You can clearly see from the heat-sensing images that the temperature dropped a lot. If you have a phone with even better performance and use it with the FunCooler 3 Pro, you can play games all day without the frame rate dropping due to overheating.

Black Shark Fun Cooler 3 Pro Review Temperature without fan
Black Shark Fun Cooler 3 Pro Temperature without fan

There is only one power button on the whole body, other control options need to be operated by the Shark Kit APP on the phone. The smart mode can intelligently adjust the fan speed according to the phone temperature. If Black Shark has an algorithm upgrade for Smart mode, you can also do an OTA upgrade through the APP.

Black Shark Fun Cooler 3 Pro Review Temperature with fan
Black Shark Fun Cooler 3 Pro Temperature with fan

There is no doubt that FunCooler 3 Pro is a professional device made by Black Shark for gamers. It has the strongest cooling system from Black Shark, and if it can’t cool your phone, then no one can cool your phone.

At 249 RMB (about $36) I think the price is acceptable, and Black Shark is certainly a more trustworthy brand than the one you haven’t heard of, right?
