The OPPO K10 series brought a lot of people into confusion. In China, this lineup is composed of high-end smartphones, while in India, it only includes affordable devices. Today, we are talking about the Indian models, not about the Chinese ones. The Indian variants are the vanilla OPPO K10 and the OPPO K10 5G: they both sell in the sub-Rs. 20,000 price range and they offer pretty good specifications if we consider their prices. But if we exclude the 5G connectivity, which other differences can we find between these two models? Given that a lot of people are surely wondering which one to choose, we decided to answer this question through a comparison between the specifications of the 4G version of the OPPO K10 and the OPPO K10 5G.

Design
Despite these two phones being two variants of the same series, their designs are different and you can easily distinguish each of them, even if you are not an expert. The 4G version comes with a camera module with rounded corners, unlike the 5G version. Further, it comes with a lucid texture on the upper part of the rear cover making it more elegant and catchier. Last but not least, the 4G variant has a punch hole on the display, while the 5G version has an uglier waterdrop notch. Even though the OPPO K10 4G has bigger dimensions, it wins the design comparison. Note that the 4G variant is protected by the IP5X certification making it dustproof, while the 5G variant has the IPX4 making it splash resistant: do you prefer a dustproof phone or a splash resistant one? The choice is up to you, depending on your actual needs.
Display
The displays of the OPPO K10 and its 5G variant are slightly different in terms of dimensions and they have different resolutions, but the rest is nearly identical and they have the same specifications. They are two IPS LCD panels with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a typical brightness of 480 nits which goes up to 600 nits. The important difference is the resolution: with the 4G variant, you get a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, while the 5G one has an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels. This is the reason why the OPPO K10 4G provides a higher level of definition. However, both are affordable panels and they are very far from the high-end segment due to their below-average color reproduction and the LCD technology. Both the handsets are equipped with in-display fingerprint readers, but the 5G variant is the only one with stereo speakers and it provides a better audio experience.
Specs & Software
First of all, even though you already know it, the OPPO K10 5G is the only one from this duo with a 5G modem inside. But that is not all: it even comes with a better chipset: the Dimensity 810 by Mediatek built at 6 nm and running at a max frequency of 2.4 GHz. This SoC not only includes a 5G modem, but it also offers higher CPU and GPU performance than the Snapdragon 680 4G found on the original OPPO K10. The memory configurations are the same, with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage which you can furtherly expand through a micro SD slot. Another important advantage of the OPPO K10 5G is the software version: it runs Android 12 out of the box, customized by ColorOS 12.1, while the 4G variant ships with Android 11 out of the box, customized by ColorOS 12.
Camera
The best camera phone of this duo is the OPPO K10 5G. First of all, it features a better main camera: a 50 MP sensor with an f/1.8 focal aperture, capturing photos with higher definition and better performance in low light conditions. Further, it has an additional 2 MP sensor for macro shots besides a 2 MP depth sensor, while the 4G variant only has one single 2 MP depth sensor paired with a 48 MP main camera. Last but not least, the 5G variant comes with a superior front camera with a 16 MP resolution.
There are no differences when it comes to the batteries: both phones are equipped with 5000 mAh batteries and they support 33W fast charging. However, the K10 5G should provide longer battery life because it has a lower display resolution.
Price
The starting price of the OPPO K10 in India is Rs. 15,740 / $197 for the base variant with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, while the 5G variant costs Rs. 18,695 / $234 in the 8/128 GB configuration. While the former offers a better display and cameras, the latter provides a better chipset, 5G, and Android 12. Which one would you pick?
WhatsApp has released many new features to make the instant messaging app more practical and fun to use. One such addition is the message reactions that allow users the ability to quickly react to a message with six preset emotes.
Now, WhatsApp has expanded upon this feature making it so that the users can react with any emoji they want. With the most recent beta version for Android and iOS, WhatsApp users now have a new “+” option next to the six pre-set emojis, allowing you to choose any other emoji for the message reaction.
Additionally, the emoji tray will contain a search box so users may browse for an emoji that is more appropriate. Additionally, WhatsApp will now allow users to change the emoji’s skin tone, which was previously unavailable.
The stable version of WhatsApp is also receiving the upgrade gradually, and all users will have access to this feature in the coming days.
Separately, the WhatsApp beta build has recently introduced a new feature that expands upon the latest privacy-focused changes made to the platform. users already have the ability to hide their last seen, profile picture, and status updates/stories from certain contacts added in an ‘exclusion list’. Now, the beta build has expanded upon it by giving users the option to hide their online status from people on the exclusion list. This means that contacts added to the exclusion list won’t be able to see whenever you are online and using the instant messaging app.
The Honda MS01 electric moped has been announced. It is the electric version of the popular Cub model and will sell in China. About 5,000 units of the model will be available for local deliveries, although it may expand to other markets.
The Honda Cub has a rich history. It is one of the iconic models of the Honda brand. It has sold more than 100 million units across the world since it was first sold over six decades ago. The motorcycle was simply revolutionary in its time and had a strong marketing campaign. The Cub is a small-capacity bike but struck a chord among urban dwellers globally. It was the perfect vehicle for navigating through the chaos and buzz of crowded cities.
The mass-produced motorcycle was accessible to millions due to its simple design, low power, and affordability. The MS01 is a culmination of the development of the EV Cub concept which was introduced in 2009. Honda may have stalled over the years, but it is revving up its focus on EV two-wheelers. This is more poignant as more manufacturers are in a race to transit substantially to EV production. Europe’s target for exiting internal combustion engine sales in the region is 2035. Honda has partnered with Japanese tech giant Sony to create EVs with a mix of both companies’ expertise.
The Honda MS01 is priced at around $742 in China. It is an affordable and sustainable option for short urban trips. It has a range of 65km on a single charge and is expected to be the forerunner of a more powerful Honda model. Honda and Muji collaborated on the model and we expect more partnerships going forward.
A court in Colombia has banned the sale of 5G iPhones and iPads in the country. This is the culmination of the Ericsson patent case. The court ruled that the specified Apple products infringe on a patent owned by Ericsson.
The Bogota court ruled in favor of Ericsson who had accused Apple of infringing on its 5G patent. The court in the country’s capital ruled that Apple’s 5G hardware infringed on a 2019 Ericsson patent which subsists till 2035. The ruling was made back in April and Ericsson has proceeded to enforce the ruling. Ericsson posted a $50,000 bond in May 2022. The Court thereafter ordered a preliminary injunction last week which affects Apple’s Colombia subsidiary.
The court injunction specifically bans apple from importing, selling, advertising, or commercializing any products that infringe on the patent. The Court also put on notice the regulatory authorities in the country to ensure compliance with the injunction. The order by the court has resulted in Apple filing an antisuit damages case in a Texas court.
Apple claims that the Colombian injunction gives Ericsson an undue advantage to pressure Apple into paying royalties. It is thus seeking an order from the court that Ericsson must indemnify Apple for any fines, fees, penalties, and costs due to the Colombian injunction.
The present case adds to the raft of patent lawsuits relating to the patents. There are several other lawsuits in Europe, the UK, and the US.
It was a momentous decision by LG to exit the smartphone market last year. In the process of pulling the plugs, a few of LG’s products in development were left in the lurch. The LG Rollable display smartphone is one such model. A video detailing the Rollable with a motorized mechanism was spotted on YouTube. The device has a flexible AMOLED screen. The Rollable was meant to be the next model in the Explorer Project.
The video shows a prototype of the canceled Rollable. It sports a unique design and could have been well-suited for Android 12L functionality. Other models that suffered the same fate as the Rollable were the V70 ThinQ and Velvet 2 Pro. The LG Wing and V50 ThinQ are among the last models that were released by the company. The Rollable was introduced during CES 2021 but LG subsequently announced its exit from the smartphone market later in the year.
The video shows that the Rollable smartphone comes with a shortcut to activate the rolling mechanism. The shortcut worked smoothly and quickly when activated. The smartphone’s UI reflows as the device is opened. It is also possible to set an expanded layout and view a portion of the home screen when the Rollable phone is closed. The Rollable’s AMOLED panel also features innovative technology. We are yet to see a rollable device from OEMs but it may just be a matter of time.

Electric fans have always been the most important tool for the general public to beat the heat. However, we know that the electric fan does not directly cool down the temperature, but uses the blowing airflow to accelerate the airflow on the surface of the object so that the heat of the object is taken away by more air, thus achieving the purpose of cooling.
The key to this is the blowing airflow, as long as the airflow can be blown, the appearance of electric fans can actually be designed into a lot of looks, so in recent years, a variety of new fans with a very different appearance from the traditional electric fan, and the bladeless fan is one of them.
In fact, the bladeless fan is the fan blade is hidden inside the base, after careful observation will find that there are many small dense holes in the base of the bladeless fan, the turbine fan inside the base rotates at high speed, a large amount of air is sucked from these holes, and then pushed upward after being pressurized, and blown out at high speed from the gap at the edge of the fan ring area, and the air blown out at high speed will have a certain viscosity, the air around Also entrained together with the flow.
First, let’s take a look at some of the official descriptions of this product:
AIRMATE Oscillating tower fan ensures effective airflow distribution in the room thanks to its 60°/120° wide angle oscillation and 180m/min velocity. You can also enjoy clean air within 12 minutes with the inbuilt Airmate HEPA Air Purifier that refreshes air 5x per hour even in rooms as large as 219 ft².
AIRMATE air purifiers avoid using UV-C light, an air-purifying method that produces harmful ozone and secondary pollution based on research. True HEPA filter captures 99.9% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, such as dust, smoke, pollen, etc. Breathe freely as the active carbon filter reduces formaldehyde and odors from pets, smoking, and cooking.
Stay cool during hot summer days! Choose from 5 modes (Turbo, Soft, Natural, AI Breeze, and Jet Flow Wind), and 24-speed levels according to your preference. The AI Smart Wind feature helps you adjust fan speed according to room temperature. Compact and portable, you can easily carry it to your bedroom, study, or office.
This floor tower fan provides fresh air without rotating blades, its leafless design will not hurt pets and babies. It provides a well-dispersed gentle breeze instead of the old-school jet-focused airflow and covers up to 590 sq. ft. It’s also easy to clean, just wipe the surface with a rag.
The control panel has lots of information, you can select the swing angle at 2 2 options: 60 degrees and 120 degrees, with different wind modes, and airflow.
In terms of product design, the shape of this AIRMATE bladeless fan is very technological and interesting, which suits the modern aesthetics. AIRMATE bladeless fan uses a dark gray body design, the overall look is very simple and stylish, and the whole body has a strong metal texture, like a very fine now technology machine. The control panel of the Airmate is designed on top of the fan, and the control panel looks very simple. The advantage of having the control panel on top of the fan is that it is easier to operate as there is no need to bend down.
We did a noise test on this Airmate bladeless fan, at the minimum wind speed, the noise generated by this fan is almost inaudible, At a distance of 2m, if we do not deliberately observe, we can hardly notice the noise. Even at the maximum wind speed, the noise is also very small. Two meters from the fan, the measured noise value is 56dB. It is the quietest fan I ever used.
This Airmate bladeless fan is designed with an air purification treatment system, which is the regular operation of the bladeless fan. After all, the bladeless fan is not good for dismantling and washing, and if the air is not purified, after a period of use, there will be dust, lint, etc. adhering to the fan blades, air ducts, and air outlet holes of the turbo fan, which will inevitably result in reduced wind power, odor and air pollution caused by bacteria. At the bottom of the fan’s air inlet, there is a HEPA filter, through which the air can be filtered out of pollutants and dust. After our test, this product on the air PM2.5 filtration effect is very good performance, in the bedroom, study and other small room use, the effect achieved is comparable to air purifiers.
In terms of price, this fan is slightly more expensive than other ordinary bladeless fans, however, if you look at the appearance and features of this product is very attractive.
The official original price of this Airmate bladeless fan is $459.99, but now, on Amazon Prime Day, this product only costs $279.99 before July 20. If you like this Airmate bladeless fan very much, you shouldn’t miss this discount opportunity. The Indian electric vehicle market is on an upward drive, drawing lots of foreign manufacturers and experts to the burgeoning market. A recent government tax cut for EV batteries is a clear indication of the massive support coming from the government. The Indian EV market could soon be boosted with a Honda e-scooter. The Honda U-Go e-scooter patent application has been filed in India.
While there is no official confirmation yet that Honda will launch the U-Go in India, it is a plausible possibility. Several patent applications connected to EVs have been filed in recent times in India. The electric two-wheeler and four-wheeler market in the subcontinent is blossoming on the back of strong government support. A recent 13 percentage-point cut in the GST rate for EV battery packs by the government is bound to stimulate more activity.
The scooter is designed as a small two-wheeler for daily urban commutes. It is 179cm long and weighs 83kg. It has a wrap-around design with some graphics on the body panels. The headlight cluster has an inverted DRL and there are LED turn indicators on the handlebar’s sides. There is also LED lighting at the rear for the tail lights. It has a 12-inch front wheel with telescopic suspension. The disc brake system is housed in the front of the e-scooter while a drum brake is at the rear. The rear wheel of the U-Go version in China is 10 inches in size.
The Honda U-Go e-scooter which is currently available in China comes with some decent features. It has a BLDC motor in two sizes – 800W and 1,200W. Its replaceable Lithium-ion battery offers a range of 75km, which can be extended to 130km using the dual battery pack. The scooter can reach a top speed of 53km/h. The coming weeks may see an announcement by Honda concerning the patented scooter.
The Amazfit GTS 4 Mini has been launched and it comes with several improvements from the GTS 2 Mini. It has a 1.65-inch AMOLED screen and a battery that can last up to 15 days. The Amazfit GTS 4 Mini is already selling in the US for $119.99. The smartwatch could be available later in India.
The GTS 4 Mini is the successor to the GTS 2 Mini and is the first model in the GTS 4 series. Its AMOLED panel is 0.1-inch bigger than that of the GTS 2 Mini and it has the always-on display technology. The display bends into the frame of the smartwatch and there is a single physical button on the smartwatch. It features health and fitness monitoring including heart rate and SpO2, as well as more than 120 sports modes. The 15 days of battery life of the GTS 4 Mini is thanks to its 270mAh battery. When the device is on battery saver mode, its battery could extend to 45 days.
Amazfit GTS 4 Mini
1 of 2
Although Amazfit has made a global announcement of the new GTS 4 series smartwatch, it is yet to be available outside the United States. It could berth in India soon with some vendors already penciled for its sale. Up to four color variants will ultimately be available for the GTS 4 Mini. It has already been posted by Amazon India although no release details were provided.
India has seen rapid growth in its electric vehicle numbers due to several intervening reasons. Both the central and regional governments have implemented incentive programs that have propelled the country forward in the EV revolution. However, the Indian government has made another tumultuous decision to reduce the GST of battery packs from 18% to a flat 5%. This means that 13 percentage points have been slashed from the GST for cars whether they are fitted with a battery or not.
The move by the Indian government to give this huge concession on GST is meant to further stimulate the production and demand of EVs in the subcontinent. The statement from India’s Finance Ministry noted that the decision on the GST rate cut was taken by the GST Council last month. EV manufacturers and by extension, Indian consumers are direct beneficiaries of the slash in EV batteries taxes. The battery pack of an electric vehicle accounts for up to 50% of its cost.
This is the second time the Indian government is slashing the GST rate in four years. In 2018, it was slashed from 28% to 18%. This provided additional incentives for EV manufacturers to set up shops in India. The Indian subcontinent has seen a surge in manufacturing and sales of EVs in the last two years. This move will further stimulate the market for the delivery of renewable energy vehicles and lower carbon footprint. The trickle-down benefits of this move could enhance capacity and demand across the EV ecosystem in India.
Samsung was the number one smartwatch brand in India in the first quarter of 2022. It registered strong double-digit growth in the country. According to IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker, the South Korean brand recorded a 65 percent volume market share in the smartwatch category. Meanwhile, Samsung also captured 31 percent market share in the TWS segment during the three months between January to March.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 was the main driver of growth in the smartwatch segment. It achieved a double-digit quarter-on-quarter performance. The device was launched in August last year and it packed impressive features like AMOLED display, 16GB storage, body monitor, and various health sensors. It also ran on Wear OS out of the box. Samsung ensured a wider availability of the Galaxy Watch4 across both online and offline channels which made it reach the masses.
In the TWS category, the Galaxy Buds 2 was the key driver for Samsung. The earphones were also launched last August. Samsung is expected to launch the successors to the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Buds2 at an unpacked event next month.
As per IDC report, Apple was the second leading brand in the smartwatch segment with 22.7 percent market share. Fitbit, Fossil, and Garmin completed the top five list with 4.7, 3.5, and 1.7 percent market share respectively.
IDC has slightly different benchmarks for what qualifies as a smartwatch. As per IDC, any wearable that can run third-party apps and has an app store is a smartwatch. IDC classified watches by Noise and BoAt as basic watches.

Up for review today we have the ILIFE’s latest Robot Vacuum cleaner, the ILIFE A11, in our studio. Compared to its predecessor, the A10, the A11 is a vast improvement. It features the latest LiDAR for better mapping and navigating. And as a 2-in-1 robot vacuum that can mop as well, it’s quite a surprise for the brand-new powerful cleaning performance. We’ve had it in service for over a month now and we did have a good time during the experience and tests.
Performance
The ILIFE A11 comes with up to 4000Pa suction power for super-powerful vacuuming, which is also the most powerful suction that we’ve ever tested. On the other hand, when activating the maximum power, you have to take the noise created by the beast. But actually, the noise level outputted by the A11 is not that annoying if you compare it to other robot vacuums like iRobot Roomba series. Meanwhile, the A11 is allowed to run under three different suction modes: Max, Auto, and quiet.
We used a sound meter to measure the noise levels of the three power settings from 5 feet away. The test showed that the robot vacuum has a decibel range of 42-50dB, which is more acceptable than we thought at first. The quiet mode is the one I have been using very often. It wouldn’t much disturb you from working, conversations or even watching TV.
For the few weeks that I used the ILIFE A11, its cleaning performance is impressive, which is close to those expensive models I’ve used, such as Roomba S9+. We placed it on 2 different floor types, including hardwood and carpet, and then let it fight with different debris and hairs. Overall, the A11 performs pretty well against most debris, while it might be struggling a bit with tiny debris on carpet. Even though, it’s still likely to remove about 90% of those deeply hidden debris.
In addition, the A11 is a great choice for removing hairs from the floor. But at the same time, hairs could be tangled around the brushroll after cleaning. But thanks to the included hook/blade tool, users are able to easily remove any tangled hair around the brushroll.
Cleaning efficiency
Considering that the A11 is capable of mopping and vacuuming at the same time, it’s more efficient than most vacuums that lack a mopping function. The A11 could be equipped with a 2-in-1 water tank (300ml dustbin + 200ml water tank) or an extra larger dustbin (450ml).
So to activate both vacuuming and mopping, you need to replace the dustbin with the water tank that is filled with water and attach the mop cloth to it. You are allowed to choose from 3 water flow levels for mopping. The mop cloth is large enough to guarantee decent cleaning, especially for hardwood.
In my living place, I preferred to use the 2-in-1 mode for cleaning up liquid stains, but meanwhile, I also need to empty rubbish from the water tank more often.
The A11 vacuum comes with a built-in 4900mAh battery, which supports cleaning for up to 150mins with a single charge, equal to an area of about 4 rooms. Even though it failed to complete its task at once, it still could automatically find its way home to get recharged and then continue the cleaning task.
Mapping and navigating
LiDAR sensor is the most effective sensor for mapping that I’ve ever experienced on a Robot vacuum. No exception for the ILIFE A11. And to make sure the robot can accurately map and navigate the area, the laser sensor would also work with the built-in infrared sensors and boundary sensors. So we can see the A11 has excellent navigational performance along with a good capacity to get out of trouble. But the Robot may avoid an obstacle by recognizing it with a slight collision. So it’s better to keep the floor clean of objects that cannot take a collision like that.
As for the first mapping, it took less than 5 minutes the whole process and generate a digital map on the app. And the A11 supports multi-layout mapping, which is good for those living with multi-floors. And other map features like no-go zone and customized map cleaning are also available on the companion app, ILIFE VAC.
ILIFE VAC app plus remote control
The companion app is easy to use. The app gives access to all the features of the robot vacuum. Users can easily set them up and start mapping with the app. And you can also set up a cleaning schedule for the vacuum or activate a customized running mode for different scenarios. Some special cleaning mode is useful for meeting different scenarios. For example, you can trigger the edge cleaning, where the robot would only focus on the edges around the rooms. It’s also a feature that we didn’t have on most robot vacuums. Meanwhile, using the app has another great benefit, which is to check all the cleaning cycles with detailed records, such as the time, area, duration, and even the corresponding map for each run.
In addition to the app, the ILIFE A11 also comes with remote control for those who would rather not use the app on a phone. Although I prefer to use the phone app, I have great respect for the remote control since some elders are still not used to using mobile phones. With the remote control, users can adjust the major settings of the robot vacuum.
The simplest way to control the robot is to press the 2 buttons on the body, which can send the robot home and start auto cleaning.
Conclusion
To conclude, the ILIFE A11 has addressed almost all the annoying problems of the previous model and brought quite a few useful new features for effective running and cleaning. During these few weeks, we even prefer to use it to clean up the office rather than more expensive models in the corner. And thanks to the multiple control ways, we don’t specifically use the app with the binding accounts on a certain phone. The remote control is definitely a better way for some user groups, like big families with elders. Now the robot vacuum is available in online stores like Amazon.
