Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro was launched last year with the powerful Snapdragon 888 SoC and 108MP cameras. The phone was launched for Rs. 39,999 in the country making it an affordable flagship handset. Now, the brand has officially discounted the device by Rs. 10,000.
The Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro is now priced at Rs. 29,999 making it value for money. It is worth noting that brands are still using the Snapdragon 888 SoC in some of their 2022 phones. The Mi 11T Pro launched a few months back is also powered by the same chipset.
Coming to the specs of the Mi 11X Pro, the smartphone comes with a 6.67-inch punch-hole AMOLED display. It has an FHD+(1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The device has Gorilla Glass 5 protection and HDR10+ support.

OnePlus will soon launch the OnePlus Ace smartphone in China. The smartphone’s specs were tipped last time and we learned that it is none other than a rebadge of the Realme GT Neo3. While the company is yet to officially confirm its specs, the Geekbench listing has it all for us. The phone has passed the certification website and revealed key specs.
The OnePlus Ace has the model number PGKM10. The device has 961 points in the single-core department and 3795 points in the multi-core department. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 octa-core SoC clocked at up to 2.85Ghz. The phone has 12GB of RAM and boots on Android 12 OS.
A tipster previously revealed that the OnePlus Ace will have a 6.7-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to come with a 4,500mAh battery with a 150W fast charging support. This is the same capacity and speed as the Realme GT Neo3. This hints that the OnePlus Ace will be a rebadged model.
Apart from this, the phone is expected to come with multiple cameras at the rear. It will have a 50MP Sony IMX766 main lens. In addition to this, the company’s COO Lin Fenshuo was also spotted using the OnePlus Ace on Weibo. Unfortunately, he didn’t reveal any details.
Since the OnePlus Ace will be a rebadged model of Realme GT Neo3, we can expect it to have the following specs. The phone could come with a punch-hole FHD+ screen, in-screen fingerprint scanner, and Android 12 OS. The device is expected to equip a triple camera system with a 50MP main lens, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro lens, just like the GT Neo3.
We aren’t sure if the Ace will also be available in different battery and charging capacities. However, we should learn more about it soon.
Chinese tech giant Xiaomi last week launched the MIJIA Water Purifier 1000G with a composition designed to deliver dependable water purification in Chinese homes. The product is presently listed on Xiaomi Mall and carries a price tag of 2299 yuan (~$361). The gadget will be on pre-sale from April 15.
The MIJIA Water Purifier 1000G adopts a 1000G ultra-large throughput and a water output speed of 2.65 L/min. With this setup, the device can fill a 150mL water cup in just 3.5 seconds. This is guaranteed to meet the daily needs of a large family.
It adopts a five-in-one composite filter element teaming up with an RO filter element to efficiently filter out bacteria and heavy metals in the water, allowing pregnant mothers and babies to drink directly. At the same time, the full-time no-stale water technology is adopted. When idle, the filtered pure water is returned to the RO membrane, and the filter element is washed repeatedly to improve the water quality and taste. The first cup of water can be drunk with confidence.
The service life of the PPC composite filter element is 2 years, and the service life of the RO filter element is as high as 5 years. The performance is stable and the water utilization rate is improved, which greatly reduces the cost of core replacement and saves money.
The ratio of pure wastewater is as high as 3:1, and the ratio of pure wastewater can also reach 2:1 when the water quality is relatively poor. Compared with ordinary 400G water purifiers, it saves about 2433 liters of water per year.
The faucet that comes with the Mijia water purifier 1000G comes with a smart screen display. You don’t need to open the cabinet. You only need to open the faucet to know whether the water quality and the filter element need to be replaced, making it easy for even the elderly to operate it conveniently.
The Mijia Water Purifier 1000G can be connected to the Mijia app from where users can check the water status at any time.

Vivo just held a launch conference in which it launched three new highly anticipated devices. One of the models includes the Vivo X Fold, which is the company’s first foldable smartphone that has apparently been in development for four years now. So let’s have a look.
Design & Display
The newly launched Vivo X Fold adopts an inward folding design. In other words, the device’s primary display is hidden when the smartphone is in its folded state. Although, users then have access to the smaller external display in this mode. The rear panel features a large rectangular island module that houses a circular camera sensor setup and other necessary sensors like the LED flash. The front of the device features a punch hole cutout along with curved edges. Interestingly, the device also features two ultrasonic fingerprint scanners as well as an alert slider on the side.
The brand has placed an emphasis on the hinge of its first foldable handset, which comes with an aerospace grade wing design. In the Rheinland folding test, the device was folded 300,000 times overall to check its durability. Furthermore, even if the user folds the device 80 times a day, the folding mechanism will still remain functional over the course of 10 years. Since it is the first model of its kind from the brand, it is not surprising that Vivo made no compromises on its build quality.
Talking about the display, the Vivo X Fold sports a large 8.03 inch E5 LTPO OLED 3.0 display with UTG that has a 120Hz refresh rate, 2K resolution, and a 4:3.5 aspect ratio. Notably, both the external and internal display features a punch hole cutout. Notably, the smartphone’s display also received A+ rating from DisplayMate.
Specifications
Under the hood, the first foldable smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker runs on a custom made Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SPU and the Adreno 730 for graphics. To put things simply, the custom SPU is basically to enhance the security and privacy of the smartphone on a chip level. Storage configurations include 12GB of RAM that will be paired with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. The Vivo X Fold will run on the Android 12 operating system with the company’s custom UI on top. The handset is powered by a large 4,600mAh battery pack that supports up to 66W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The 66W fast charging can top up the device to full in just 37 minutes.

Last week, there were multiple leaks regarding upcoming Oneplus products. Hence, we thought to put them together for our latest weekly compilation. For the unaware, we at GizmoChina, bring you a roundup article every Monday discussing select stories from the previous week.
In this week’s episode, we will talk about five Oneplus leaks. Of which, two of them are very interesting as they are regarding a foldable and a new series.
With that out of the day, let’s take a look at these leaks one by one.
Last Friday, tipster Yogesh Brar revealed that Oneplus is working on a foldable smartphone. Unfortunately, it is not a self-developed device. The handset is merely a copy of Oppo Find N, which is sold exclusively in China.
Hence, the upcoming Oneplus foldable phone could be just a new name for the Oppo Find N for international markets.
It is not known what Oneplus will call its first foldable smartphone. Just like other brands, the company will most likely use the ‘Fold’ branding, such as ‘Oneplus Fold’.
We are looking forward to learning about the device’s price and availability in the coming days.
2. Ace series to return with Oneplus at the helm
Oneplus 10R | Source: Yogesh Brar via 91Mobiles
Oppo killed the Ace series after the launch of Oppo Ace 2 in 2020. Realme’s GT series replaced this lineup offering products at multiple price points.
On Friday, a Chinese media house (Whylab) disclosed that Oneplus will bring back the Ace series from the dead. This device carries model number PGKM10 and it is nothing but a rebranded Relame GT Neo 3.
The phone will likely release as Oneplus 10R in some markets. Because we have been hearing about it for a long time and it shares almost everything with the Realme GT Neo 3.
In a nutshell, the Oneplus Ace could be limited to China, like the previous two Ace-branded handsets from Oppo. On the other hand, the Oneplus 10R may launch in India and even Europe (doubtful).
3. Oneplus Nord 2T to feature Dimensity 1300 SoC
On Friday, Mediatek quietly announced Dimensity 1300 SoC, the successor of the Dimensity 1200 chipset. A day earlier, a leak had already revealed that this chip will be present inside the upcoming Oneplus Nord 2T.
The design of the Oneplus Nord 2’s successor was also disclosed in the same leak via renders. The phone will have two large circles on the rear, however, only one of them will be fully occupied with a large OIS-enabled 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor. Whereas, the second circle will house weird-looking tiny 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide unit and a 2MP monochrome sensor.
Other features of the handset will include a 32MP Sony IMX709 front-facing camera, LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, dual stereo speakers, alert slider, 4,500mAh battery, and 80W fast charging.
4. Oneplus 10 could be powered by Dimensity 9000 SoC
Oneplus 10 Pro
On Thursday, tipster Yogesh Brar once again tweeted that Oneplus is working on a smartphone housing a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. He suggests that this phone will probably go official as the Oneplus 10.
For the first time, Oneplus didn’t release a vanilla flagship model alongside the Pro (Oneplus 10 Pro) this year. At the same, the brand is also rumored to working on an ‘Ultra’ model.
The company is yet to officially tease either of these handsets. However, the so-called Oneplus 10 Ultra is rumored to debut at the end of Q3.
5. Oneplus Nord N20 is an Oppo mid-ranger for the US
Oneplus Nord N20 | Source: PCMag
On Wednesday, PCMag exclusively revealed details about the upcoming Oneplus Nord N20. Going by the report, the upcoming Nord for the US will be nothing but a tweaked version of Oppo A96 5G sold in China.
The international OPPO A96 is already official in Southeast Asia as Oppo Reno 7Z 5G. It is expected to release in India and Europe as Oppo F21 Pro 5G and Oppo Reno7 Lite 5G respectively.
The Oneplus Nord N20 is said to debut in the US later this month with features like a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, in-screen fingerprint sensor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, 64MP (wide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth) triple camera system, 16MP selfie camera, 4,500mAh battery, 33W fast charging, and OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11.
WhatsApp is apparently working on a new brand new feature that might be released for its app soon. The latest iOS beta build comes with a new drawing tool feature that helps tweak images on iOS.
The news arrives from a WaBetaInfo report. The popular messaging platform is planning on introducing a new feature that will improve customization options for its vast userbase. At the moment, this iOS beta build version 22.8.0.73 is only available in select regions and has yet to hit the live build. But, looking at the images, we can see that it brings additional options for the scribbling feature of the drawing tool.
The WhatsApp application already offers drawing tools, but the new update will expand on the tools offered to the users. This new set of drawing tools will allow users to scribble on images or edit them with custom notes and annotations. In the past, users only had access to a single pencil for basic drawing options. But now, new screenshots shared by WaBetaInfo show three new gauges for the pencil, along with a new blur tool option in the new set.
These features might soon be arriving on the Android version of the beta build as well. WhatsApp regularly tests a lot of new features that eventually arrive in the live builds a few weeks or even months after. Although, sometimes these features also get axed during public tests in beta builds or modified. So stick around for more updates regarding this matter.

Due to the ongoing issue of chip shortages, many semiconductor based firms like TSMC had plans to expand their production capacity to meet the rising demand. But it seems that this plan might be pushed further back due to additional delays in securing the proper equipment for the expansion.
According to a NikkeiAsiareport, the chip makers that are planning on expanding their production capacity will have to see an additional wait time that might be around a year and a half, or possibly even longer. This delay arrive due to the long delivery time of key equipment that is needed for the expansion. In other words, the plans to alleviate the semiconductor shortage are also suffering from supply constraints as well.
As of right now, the leading chip tool manufacturers like Applied Materials, KLA, Lam Research, and ASML have warned their customers that the wait time for certain crucial machines might be up to 18 months long. Furthermore, multiple sources have also told NikkeiAsia that the supply constraints have caused shortages in practically everything, ranging from lenses, valves, and pumps to microcontrollers, engineering plastics and even electronic modules as well.
This means that leading foundries like TSMC, Intel, Samsung, and others will see delays in their expansion plans. For those unaware, firms like TSMC already had planned to have plants go online as soon as next year. But now, sources believe that the long lead times might affect their original plans. Thus, executives at UMC, Samsung, and more have started sending senior executives overseas to urge equipment makers to raise their efforts for faster deliveries.

Vivo X Fold
It has purchased 15,600 units of all three variants of the Vivo X Note smartphone. The three models include 8GB RAM with 256GB internal storage, 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 512GB internal storage.
On the other hand, the company has procured 8,000 units of each variant of the Vivo X Fold smartphone. The phone will come in two memory options to choose from — 12GB RAM with 256GB internal storage and 12GB RAM with 512GB internal storage.
As for the specifications, the Vivo X Fold will have a 6.53-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ screen resolution on the outside and an 8-inch 2K E5 LTPO UTG display on the inside. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.
Vivo X Note

The phone runs the Android 12 operating system with a custom UI on top and is powered by a 4,600mAh battery with 66W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
On the other hand, the Vivo X Note will come with a 7-inch AMOLED display offering a Quad-HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This one too will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
As for the camera setup, it includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 48MP secondary sensor, a 12MP tertiary sensor, and the last 8MP snapper. On the front, it will have a single camera placed in the top middle for taking selfies and video calls.

Prior to the launch of the iQOO Neo6, the company has unveiled a new product in China. The new gadget is the iQOO 44W Flash Charge Power Bank, which will launch alongside the upcoming Neo6 smartphone.

Apple has begun the assembly of one of its latest smartphones in India. The production of the iPhone 13 has started in the Foxconn factory that is situated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, a state in South India.
Notably, the mass production of the latest iPhones comes after the Cupertino based giant had begun trial production for the iPhone 13 back in December 2021. Back then, it was assumed that volume production for the model will start by February 2022. Although, this had been postponed till April. This is great news for Apple customers in India since local production would have the device’s cost drop by a noticeable margin.
When the brand first started making the iPhone 12 locally in India, the model saw a price slash of 14,000 INR (roughly 185 US Dollars). For those unaware, India charges tech companies custom duties for consumer electronic products that are assembled overseas and are imported. Thus, Apple products usually cost more in India when compared to other markets. So, we can also expect the iPhone 13 to see a price cut soon, once the brand begins to sell the locally assembled units in the Indian market.
The iPhone 13 joins other products from the company that is being assembled in the country. As of right now, the brand manufactures the iPhone 11, iPhone 12, and now the iPhone 13 in the nation. Interestingly, this also marks a major shift in production away from China, which has typically been its primary hub for production. In recent years, Apple has tried in reducing its dependence on China. So, this move is in line with its ongoing efforts.
The Indian government is apparently probing Ola for answers regarding its e-scooters. An S1 Pro model caught fire in the country, and it seems that the incident has also caught the government’s attention.
Earlier this month, a senior government official stated that the company has to offer explanations for its electric scooter that had recently caught fire in Pune last month. For those unaware, a video of an Ola S1 Pro model went viral when it burst into flames. This caused people to have doubts about the electric scooter’s safety standards. Since then, the local government has ordered a probe last month.
Now, Giridhar Aramane, Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, said that “If required, the government may call Ola Electric to explain the incident.” Furthermore, the incident in Pune was not an isolated event. Recently, we had also reported on the new electric vehicle running in reverse mode at 90kmph due to a software glitch. As per the road transport ministry, the Centre for Fire, Explosive, and Environmental Safety (CFEES) has been assigned to investigate this incident and propose remedial actions to prevent such accidents in the future.
The scooter was first engulfed in smoke before the fire
According to a 91Mobilesreport, the reason behind the fiery accident is likely the poor lithium ion battery that powers the EV. The Ola S1 Pro’s battery might be faulty or damaged and there may be trouble with its thermal runaway, which could be highly flammable and difficult to control.
