Intel’s 12th Gen Core i5-12600K processor leaked in Ashes of the Singularity benchmark

After launching several processors in its 11th generation lineup, Intel has now reportedly started testing the next-generation (12th generation) processors. Benchleaks have spotted the upcoming Intel Core i5-12600K “Adler Lake” processor with the Ashes of the Singularity benchmark, reports Tom’s Hardware.

Intel Alder Lake CPU

So far, it has been revealed that the Intel Core i5-12600K processor will come with a 10-core configuration, having six Golden Cove cores and four Gracemount cores. Among them, on the Golden Cove features Hyper-Threading, which brings an unorthodox setup with 10 cores and 16 threads.

It will reportedly come with 20MB of L3 cache and is said to feature a 4.9GHz dual-core core boost on the Golden Cove cores while the all-core boost is allegedly fixed at 4.6GHz. On the other hand, it seems that the Gracemont cores may check in with a 3.6 GHz dual-core boost and a 3.4GHz all-core boost.

Coming to the graphics performance, the Core i5-12600K, when coupled with Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU, managed to score 10,800 points on the Crazy 1080p preset, which apparently represents a 10.2 percent improvement over Core i5-11600K. It easily manages to surpass the 8,100 points of its rival AMD Ryzen 5 5600X.

Given that this is a leaked benchmark of an unreleased product, we would advise you to take this information related to the Intel Core i5-12600K with a pinch of salt. If the reports about the November announcement of Alder Lake are true, then we won’t have to wait longer to know more about this processor.

Acer Predator Gaming Projectors feature support for variable refresh rate

Acer has introduced a feature that is increasingly common with high-end TVs in its latest Predator gaming projectors. The variable refresh rate (VRR) is one of the standout features of the Acer GD 711 and GM 712 4K projectors.

The new Acer gaming-centric projectors will debut in China in November 2021, and subsequently in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa between December 2021 and January 2022. The new projectors are priced between $1,600 and $1,800 although there is no indication yet on their US availability.Acer Predator Gaming Projector

The Acer GD 711 is a LED projector capable of 1,450 ANSI lumens brightness and supports HDR10. It supports 4K resolution in standard mode and its variable refresh rate mode helps to modulate the image quality even when using very powerful gaming consoles and fast PCs.

The GD 711 offers 1080p resolution in VRR mode but boosts the refresh rate as appropriate dynamically. The GD 711 has a wide range of possible throw sizes but Acer recommends a 100-inch screen projected from a distance of about 2.7 meters. The projector has an estimated lifespan of 30,000 hours in Eco mode or 20,000 hours in standard mode.

The Acer GM 712 gaming projector is lamp-based and slightly heavier than the GD 711. It is also less expensive than the GD 711 and offers 3,600 ANSI lumens of brightness with a lifespan estimated between 5,000 and 12,000 hours. The variable refresh rate mode is also present in the GM 712, as well as HDR 10 and 4K resolution.Acer Predator Gaming Projector

Both the GD 711 and GM 712 have the Aptoide TV App Store built-in together with the different ports including HDMI and USB-A. The VRR technology in projectors is an innovation that makes the two models arguably the only projectors with the VRR feature.

Full pricing and availability details will likely surface as we move closer to the unveiling and sale of the two VRR-enabled projectors.
