POCO will be announcing the POCO C31 smartphone on Sept. 30 in India. As the name goes, it will be arriving as an updated version of the POCO C3. The landing page of the C31 available has now been updated with its key features.
The POCO C31 will be arriving with a teardrop notch display with a slightly thick chin. The handset will be driven by the Helio G35 chipset and 4 GB of RAM.
The handset will be backed by offering a long battery life. Some of the other features that will be available on the device include reinforced corners, a fingerprint scanner, and face unlock. Its other details are under the wraps.
It appears that the POCO C31 may borrow most of its specs from the POCO C3. The C3 lacked a fingerprint scanner, but the C31 will come equipped with it. In addition, it may come with slight improvements in the design.
POCO C3 specifications
The POCO C3 has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD HD+ display, a 5-megapixel front camera, and a 13-megapixel (main) + 2-megapixel (macro) + 2-megapixel (depth) triple camera unit. The MIUI 10 based Android 10 OS comes preinstalled on the device.
The C3 features the Helio G35 chip, up to 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of storage. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging.
In August, a Vivo phone with model number V2120 was spotted at the Geekbench benchmarking site. The same model has appeared at the Malaysian SIRIM certification site to reveal that it may debut in the market with the Vivo Y15s 2020 moniker.
The V2120 was previously seen with the Vivo Y15s moniker at the IMEI database. However, the SIRIM listing suggests that it could be called Vivo Y15s 2020 when it arrives in the market. Unfortunately, no new information on the specs of the device is available yet.
Vivo Y15s " V2120 " spotted on SIRIM, Geekbench & CQC certification.
The Vivo Y15s 2020’s Geekbench listing had revealed that it could be arriving with the Helio P35 or G35 chipset and 2 GB of RAM. This indicates that the device may run on Go edition of the Android 11 OS.
The handset has also been spotted at China’s CQC certification. It revealed that it may carry support for 10W charging. It has also received approval from the FCC certification. With a couple of certifications under the belt, it seems that it may take only a few weeks for the smartphone to go official. Hopefully, newer reports will reveal more information about the smartphone.
In related, Vivo is also working on the Vivo V23 series of smartphones. Earlier today, the Vivo V23e handset was spotted at the Bluetooth certification site. This indicates that the V23e may go official in October or November.
Back in July, a Vivo phone with model number V2116 was spotted at the IMEI database with the Vivo V23e name. The listing suggested that the Chinese manufacturer will be announcing it in the coming months as the successor to the Vivo V21e that debuted earlier this year. Today, the V23e appeared in the database of the Bluetooth SIG authority. The listing suggests that it may go official as early as next month.
Before appearing at Bluetooth SIG, the V23e has also been spotted at other certification sites like Indonesia’s TKDN and Europe’s EEC. The Bluetooth SIG listing only reveals that the smartphone will come with support for Bluetooth 5.2.
The latest version of Bluetooth 5.2 suggests that it could be equipped with a powerful chip. The Vivo V21e had arrived with Snapdragon 720G. Probably, the V23e could be featuring a more powerful Snapdragon 7-series chip. The existence of the V23e also indicates that the arrival of other Vivo V23 series of smartphones may not be far away.
The Vivo V21e is available in 4G and 5G versions with some differing specs in India. As far as the V23e is concerned, the company may release it only in a 5G version.
Vivo V21e and V21e 5G specifications
The Vivo V21e has a 6.44-inch AMOLED FHD+ display. It has a front camera of 44-megapixel, and its rear panel is fitted with a 64-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit.
The Android 11 OS with FunTouch OS 11.1 comes preinstalled on the V21e. The Snapdragon 720G powered phone has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. It is backed a 4,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. It also features an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The V21e 5G has a Dimensity 700 chip and a 4,000mAh battery, which supports 44W fast charging. It has a 32-megapixel front camera and a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual-camera system. It features a 6.44-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

The iQOO Z5 5G features a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display that offers a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 1080 x 2400 pixels Full HD+ screen resolution, up to 120Hz of refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a 1500:1 contrast ratio.

The smartphone is running the Android 11 operating system out-of-the-box with OriginOS 1.0 for iQOO. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that carries support for 44W fast charging. The company claims that it can gain 50 percent battery power by charging the device for only 26 minutes.
Some of the contract manufacturers and suppliers of Apple in China have temporarily shut down production for a few days. This is because of the government initiating a crackdown as the country faces an energy crisis.
The move is a part of the Chinese government’s new regulations related to the use of energy in the country. However, the timing is crucial as tech giant Apple has just launched its latest iPhone 13 series smartphones and the backorders are rising as the shipment dates for the new Apple iPhone models keep getting pushed.
While not all the suppliers of Apple are affected, those factories which manufacture parts like motherboards and speakers have to shut down their manufacturing operations for a few days. Analysts claim that the reduction in production due to the power shortage is resulting in a drag on the country’s economic growth.
There’s a shortage of coal and the tougher standards related to emissions, combined with the strong demand from manufacturers have resulted in coal prices surging and it has now hit a record high which is forcing users to ration energy.
Eson Precision Engineering, an affiliate of Foxconn and a key supplier for Apple and Tesla, has suspended its production for a week. On the other hand, Unimicron Technology has stopped production in two cities until the end of the month.
As of now, there’s no information about whether any of these shutdowns will directly impact Apple’s manufacturing plans. Along with the iPhone 13 series, the US-based technology giant has also launched a new iPad, iPad Mini, and Apple Watch Series 7.
Xiaomi has finally unveiled the new Civi smartphone and Watch Color 2 but what remained at the center of the stage is the Xiaomi TWS 3 Pro. Even though they appear to be Apple AirPod knock-offs, there are some new elements added to the design that makes it stand out from the crowd.
With this, Xiaomi TWS 3 Pro, as what the brand claims, becomes the world’s first TWS earbuds to feature LHDC 4.0 codec that’d boost audio quality to “HiFi-level”. Xiaomi has also opted for Adaptive ANC on its TWS for the first time. There is a 3-stage noise reduction, an ambient mode, and a human voice-enhancing mode involved in the entire Adaptive ANC process. The numbers suggest it can clip off noises up to 40dB which is decent for a TWS.
The new earbuds also feature spatial (or 360°) audio and come with Type-C charging. Though the company claims it to last up to 6 hours alone with ANC off, we may see these numbers varying in real-life scenarios. There are 3 color options that are on offer, black, white, and deep forest green. The brand asserts that the buds have also been kept lighter and smaller than their predecessors, to offer increased comfort and decreased obtrusiveness.
Pricing
Xiaomi True Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones 3 Pro starts at 699 yuan (~US$92).
The sale has already gone live to pre-book the buds in China. General orders begin on October 9, 2021.
Less than a week after the launch of Apple’s latest smartphone offerings, the iPhone 13 series, Bloomberg’s writer Mark Gurman has released yet another tip. The writer cum tipster has revealed that the next flagship iPhone model will sport a complete redesign away from the current offerings. The details of Gurman’s expose on the next iPhone series is published in the latest edition of his Power On newsletter.
Apple continues to generate intense speculations both with its incoming offerings and its current products. The iPhone 14 seems to be getting the attention of more tipsters and industry experts including Gurman. The Bloomberg expert believes the fact that there were minimal design changes observed on the iPhone 13 series could indicate Apple could be working on a significantly different design model in the iPhone 14 series both for the vanilla and Pro version, as well as other variants.
It has been speculated previously that the iPhone 14 will not come with the notch present in current models. The Pro model, as per the previous rumors, will have a punch-hole design when it is unveiled in 2022. Some pretty reliable tipsters have affirmed that indeed, the iPhone 14 Pro will come with a punch-hole in place of the notch, and some renders seem to support this position. It is also believed that Apple may also be working on an under-display Touch ID and foldable display architectures, possibly from 2023 upwards. Several tipsters have also hinted that Apple is seriously developing a foldable iPhone in the coming years.
Samsung has already put itself as a leader in foldable displays through the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip smartphones.
Less than six months after the launch of the Realme GT Neo, its successor Realme GT Neo2 is already on the shelves. The new handset comes with important upgrades over its predecessor, but are these upgrades worth it? Is it better to spend more to choose the second generation or the amazing street prices available for the original Realme GT Neo are giving it a higher value for money? This comparison will highlight the differences between two of the best 2021 flagship killers and let you understand which one is worth buying.

Design
Both Realme GT Neo2 and GT Neo come with catchy designs, especially if we look at the Black Mint color option of the former and the Aurora color option of the latter. I prefer the look of the Realme GT Neo2 because of its more modern camera module on the rear side, but the Realme GT Neo is actually a thinner, lighter, and more compact phone. Thanks to its smaller display and battery, the original GT Neo is more compact and easier to use with one hand and to keep in a pocket. Do you prefer having a better look or a more compact phone?
Display
Realme GT Neo2 and GT Neo are equipped with great AMOLED panels. They come with a Full HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, fingerprint scanners integrated into the display, and a very high peak brightness. But the Realme GT Neo2 has something more to offer: the HDR10+ certification which is able to improve the image quality, especially on streaming platforms. Further, the new flagship killer has a wider display with a diagonal of 6.62 inches, while GT Neo has just 6.43 inches and it is not exactly the best diagonal for gamers.
Specs & Software
Realme GT Neo2 and GT Neo are phones targeted to gamers and power users, that is why they come with a flagship-class hardware department. The former is more advanced as it comes with a stronger chipset: the Snapdragon 870 by Qualcomm. The Dimensity 1200 by MediaTek found on the original GT Neo is built with a better 6 nm production process, but the Snapdragon 870 is able to provide better CPU and GPU performance. The memory configurations provide up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Both the phones run Android 11 out of the box customized by Realme UI 2.0 and they will be updated to Android 12 and Realme UI 3.0.
Camera
Realme GT Neo2 and GT Neo have exactly the same camera department: there is no difference. It includes a 64 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2 MP macro camera on the rear side, as well as a 16 MP front camera for selfies. It is a midrange-class camera setup, you can not expect a very high image quality but it is not disappointing. What will make the difference between the camera performance of these two flagship killers is the ISP found in the processor: they have different SoCs, so different ISPs too.
In my opinion, the most important upgrade of the Realme GT Neo2 is the battery. It has a capacity of 5000 mAh instead of the 4500 mAh found on the Realme GT Neo. The battery life is one of the main limits of Realme flagships this year and the GT Neo2 solves the problem with a bigger and longer-lasting unit. Both the phones feature 65W fast charging, but naturally, the original GT Neo charges faster because its battery is smaller.
Price
The starting price of the Realme GT Neo in China is about €260/$304 at the actual change, while the Realme GT Neo2 starts from €320/$374. However, you can currently find the vanilla GT Neo with better street prices because it is older. The Realme GT Neo2 is a very good upgrade if we talk about the battery and the chipset, but if you are not searching for great battery life, then you can decide to save money for the GT Neo.

The Oppo F19s’ new colour has all the specs same as the original F19s smartphone. It comes with a 6.43-inch punch-hole display with a Full-HD+ resolution. Upfront, it has a 16MP Sony IMX471 selfie camera and boasts a triple rear camera system.
1 of 2

HMD Global, the licensee for Nokia Mobile, announced last week that it has an event scheduled for October 6. The tweet didn’t reveal what the product will be but many have guessed that it is a tablet. Today, it has shared a new teaser that confirms it will indeed launch a tablet on that day.
The launch of the tablet was confirmed by the Nokia Mobile Twitter account with a caption that reads “Everything you’d expect from a Nokia phone in a tablet. Coming 6.10.21”. Based on the caption, we can expect the tablet will run a stock version of Android out of the box. It should also receive software support for a duration similar to Nokia’s Android phones, probably two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
Attached to the tweet is an image of the Nokia 3310 (2017) and the upcoming tablet. The photo doesn’t reveal much about the device save for a glimpse at the design. We can see the frame is flat and has rounded corners and the tablet has a dark gray/black finish. It’s also pretty slim.
The tablet is expected to launch as the Nokia T20 and will have a display that measures 10.36 inches, a Unisoc processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and support for 10W charging.
In addition to the sleek Xiaomi CIVI and MIJIA Treadmill, Xiaomi has also unveiled the MIJIA Washing Machine Mini. This is the smallest washing machine in the brand’s catalogue and it offers several decent features. It is targeted at young users whose clothings are usually not so big.
The main feature is the high-temperature boil-washing function designed for washing personal clothes, capable of deep sterilization and removing mites. The Mijia Washing Machine Mini can be used as a special washing machine for personal clothes or baby clothes to avoid the trouble caused by washing clothes with hands.
It has four levels of temperature adjustable, 90°C high temperature steaming, 60°C mite removal and sterilization, 40°C efficient stain removal, and room temperature pure cotton color protection. The machine also comes with 16 exclusive washing procedures, 10 special stain washing, making it easy to deal with different kinds of stubborn stains.
The machine has a 1kg capacity and is designed to sit on top of a desk which doesn’t take up too much space. The firmware also features support for OTA upgrade and smart home device interconnection.
According to professional inspections, the MIJIA Washing Machine Mini can effectively remove the three major molds hidden in the underwear at a water temperature of 60°C. Among them, the removal rate of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli in the pasteurization washing mode is up to 99.99%, the removal rate of Candida albicans in underwear washing mode reaches 99.3%.
The Mijia Washing Machine Mini can also deeply kill the mites hidden in clothes and remove pollen allergens through high-powered water flow and high-temperature heating at 60°C. According to professional testing, the Washing Machine Mini has a mite removal rate of 99.9% and a pollen allergen removal rate of 99.8% at 60°C water temperature and baby wash mode, effectively reducing allergies caused by unwashed clothes.
At the same time, the MIJIA Washing Machine Mini has as many as 16 built-in washing and care programs, including underwear washing, baby washing, pasteurizing washing, towel washing, silk washing, and other modes. Among them, the Quick washing can wash the clothes in 24 minutes. It also features 10 kinds of special stains washing such as for baby food, soil stains, chocolate stains, collars, cooking stains, etc..
The product will be available at Xiaomi Mall, Xiaomi Youpin, JD.com, Tmall, etc. at 10 am on October 1st. It carries a price tag of ¥1,099 (~$170).
There are indications that chipmakers AMD and MediaTek are negotiating on a joint venture arrangement that could see AMD producing chips with MediaTek IP integrated into them. A report by DigiTimes says that the collaboration will be focused mainly on chip-level data transmission technologies including Wi-Fi, 5G, and wired data transmission. As per the DigiTimes report, the focus product offering will center on mobility hardware solutions, laptops inclusive.
The joint venture arrangement, if talks proceed smoothly, could see the first chips with the AMD-MediaTek mix being released by 2024. If the talks come to fruition, this would not be the first time such collaborations between AMD and MediaTek will be happening. The AMD RZ608 SoC has MediaTek’s Wi-Fi 6 technology integrated into its design. The RZ608 is the chipset used in AYANEO’s handheld games console.
The collaboration could have a significant impact on AMD’s notebook solutions by making them more attractive with the extensive array of wireless solutions brought to the table by MediaTek. The Taiwanese company MediaTek has evolved to become one of the leading mobile SoC developers with a rich vein of highly successful 5G-enabled solutions. These are seen as solid alternatives to most of the Intel-developed solutions. The choice of MediaTek could be seen as a strategic move by AMD, as it pursues some degree of parity or better all-round performance over Intel.
MediaTek surpassed Qualcomm in mobile chips shipments in 2020 and the company is well primed to continue to deliver some of the leading designs in the mobile SoC market, with a sufficient mix of innovation and versatility. A successful collaboration between AMD and MediaTek will enable AMD to transit to MediaTek-made data communications solutions, while also shoring up the output for MediaTek in the notebook segment of the market.
There has been no official confirmation of the negotiations by either of the companies at this time.
Flipkart has scheduled its 2021 Big Billion Days sale on October 3 in India and just like every year, Apple iPhones are one of the most anticipated phones to be on sale. Every year, Apple iPhones, especially the starter flagship in the series gets a massive discount in the sale. Similarly, today, Flipkart revealed the sale price of the iPhone 12 in India.
Flipkart on Twitter shared a video teasing the sale price of the iPhone 12. Interestingly, the video shows the best price to be ₹49,999(~$677). This is an enticing price compared to the ₹65,900(~$893) pricing for which the smartphone is currently selling in India. It will offer a whopping ₹15,901(~$215).
The iPhone 12 offers a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 2523 x 1170 pixels resolution. The screen comes with 625 nits of typical brightness, HDR support, and 460 PPI pixel density. The phone is powered by the Apple A14 Bionic chipset and has a 12 + 12MP dual-camera system.
In related news, the Chinese market also received a huge CNY 2000(~$310) price cut. It is worth noting that the phone was earlier retailing for CNY 6799(~$1,054) in China, but after the price cut, it is available for as low as CNY 4,799(~$744).
The Xiaomi Civi was announced today in China. Other than its stunning design and build, the specifications of the smartphone are no different from what we have seen from a lot of other upper mid-range devices. However, there is one thing that the Civi has in common with other Xiaomi flagships released this year.
Just like the Xiaomi 11 series, the Xiaomi Civi does not come with a charger included in the box. As seen in early unboxing videos, the Xiaomi Civi comes in a slim box with a thickness similar to that of the Mi 11 series. Inside the box is the phone, a clear TPU case, and the usual documents.
This is the first non-flagship Xiaomi phone that isn’t shipping with a charger included in the box. However, it appears Xiaomi is sending reviewers a power adapter with the phone. The poster above also states that those who purchase the phone will get an optional 55W GaN charger in a separate pack just as Xiaomi did with the Xiaomi Mi 11.
The Xiaomi Civi has a 6.53-inch curved AMOLED screen with a centered punch hole and a 120Hz refresh rate. There is a 32MP camera behind the cut-out in the screen and an in-display fingerprint scanner in the bottom half.

Powering the Xiaomi Civi is the Snapdragon 778G processor and it is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of non-expandable storage. The main rear camera is a 64MP sensor and it is paired with an 8MP ultrawide angle camera and a 2MP macro camera.
Under the glass body is a 4500mAh battery with support for 55W fast charging just like the Mi 11. There is dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, infrared blaster, and dual-SIM support. Xiaomi ships the phone with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11.

Google had temporarily shifted from the production of tablets after the release of the Google Pixel Slate in 2018. The 12.3-inch model was the last tablet delivered by the multi-functional company. Google has established itself as a search engine giant, but it has gradually incorporated some products into its persona. There are indications that Google has just patented a futuristic tablet with some design innovations mainly inspired by the latest Pixel smartphone, the Pixel 6.
The Google Pixel tablet will come without bezels and it is expected to run on Android 12 OS from the box. Google has continued to expand its product lineup from the Google Nest products to the Chromebook 2-in-1 laptops and the very popular and iconic Google Pixel smartphones.
There is a design patent for a futuristic-looking tablet filed in Japan and attributed to Google. The patent was published by Google LLC and some accompanying renders of the Pixel tablet are a pointer that Google is indeed working on the product. It could be in an advanced stage of development. The patent was possibly filed in March 2019 and the approval is believed to have been given by the Japan Patent Office in June 2021.
Not much is known about the device at this time, as per its characteristics and specifications apart from the little that could be gleaned from the accompanying renders by Google. Google provided images of the different sides of the device, revealing a bezel-less design, a full-screen design with very thin edges, and a generally stylish and appearance. The renders are lacking some key details about the device including the camera system, connections, and buttons. The design concept from the renders has however motivated designer Giuseppe Spinelli to flesh the patented design using a series of impressive 3D images.
The 3D renders reveal a punch-hole camera, buttons for volume and power like the Pixel 6, and running on Android 12 OS, Google’s latest version of its popular operating system. These 3D renders, it should be noted did not emanate from Google, hence the final outlook of the Pixel tablet, when eventually it is released, maybe fundamentally different.

The Xiaomi Civi is Xiaomi’s latest smartphone and the first of a new series. While the specs of the phone are nothing special, what really stands out is the design and the craftsmanship, an area Xiaomi has focused more on lately.
Chinese brands such as Vivo and OPPO have phones that are loved not only for their features but their design. For Vivo, it is its S series while the Reno series is OPPO’s line of design-focused smartphones. Xiaomi wants to capture this market which is pretty popular in its home country of China which is the reason why the Xiaomi Civi exists.
Most of the photos of the new smartphone have come from press renders but live images from ITHome and WHYLAB which have received the phone for review provide a better look at the phone. Trust us when we say the Xiaomi Civi is indeed a stunning phone and we are talking about both colors. The images below should convince you of that.
Xiaomi CIVI
As you can see, the Xiaomi Civi has a crystal-like finish on the back (more visible on the black variant) which refracts light and gives it an appearance similar to a star-filled sky or to sound cliche “like diamonds in the sky”. Those with a keen eye will see the finish is very similar to OPPO’s Reno Glow design. The popular Weibo account, WHYLAB, has shared photos of the black variant as well as a microscopic photo of the rear to get a closer look at the millions of tiny crystals that give the Xiaomi Civi its appearance.
Xiaomi didn’t focus on just the back of the phone. The front of the phone is home to a 6.55-inch curved display that uses COP packaging technology similar to that of the iPhones. It also has very slim bezels.
The Xiaomi Civi is powered by the Snapdragon 778G processor, has a 64MP triple rear camera setup, a 32MP selfie camera, 4500mAh battery capacity, and support for 55W fast charging.
