The Realme GT Neo2 is expected to go official this month. The design and specifications of the smartphone have already appeared in recent reports. It is speculated that the handset will be available in black, blue, and orange colors. A fresh leak that has appeared on Weibo reveals that the GT Neo2 may also come in a special green edition.

Reports have revealed that the Realme RMX3370 that was certified by China’s TENAA authority will be debuting as the Realme GT Neo2 in the home market. The RMX3370 has now received approval from China’s 3C regulatory body. The listing reveals that the 5G-ready may ship with a 65W fast charger.
The Realme GT Neo2 is expected to arrive with a 6.62-inch AMOLED FHD+ punch-hole display with a 120Hz refresh rate support, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit. At present, there is no information available on the pricing of the GT Neo2. A recent leak claimed that the smartphone may debut with the Realme GT Neo Gaming moniker in the global markets.

The square-shaped smartwatch offers 100+ watch faces for customization. It will feature a metallic frame that will offer 5ATM water resistance. It will be packed with health and fitness monitoring features such as a heart rate tracker, SpO2 sensor, and more.
Interestingly, a product listing of the DIZO Watch 2 is also available on Flipkart. The listing further reveals that it offers 600nits brightness, a 260mAh battery that can last for up to 10 days, sleep tracking, menstrual cycle tracking, and support for 15 outdoor and indoor sports modes. It appears that the DIZO Watch 2 lacks a GPS chip.
The DIZO Watch 2 is listed with a price tag of Rs 3,999. The pricing may not be correct since the company is yet to launch it. It will be available in multiple colors such as Classic Black, Golden Pink, Ivory White, and Silver Grey.
As far as the DIZO Watch Pro, the Flipkart microsite only reveals that it has a square-shaped display and built-in GPS + GLONASS for location tracking. Its other specs are under the wraps. As per the latest report coming from Ars Technica, users of the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are complaining about their phones suddenly stop working and become completely unresponsive. It adds that the phones can’t boot into Android and only shows Qualcomm recovery mode called “Emergency Download (EDL) mode.”

After passing several certifications, the Samsung Galaxy M22 is now going live on landing pages across several Samsung websites. Last time, we saw the phone’s listing on the Samsung Russia web portal and now, the device has appeared on Samsung Singapore and Malaysian websites.
Yet again we do not have anything to extract as the listing just reveals the model number of the smartphone i.e. SM-M225FV/DS. The DS stands for dual-SIM and it will be a 4G only phone.

The Galaxy M22 is expected to be a rebranded Galaxy A22 4G smartphone. It was also seen on several other certifications. According to Geekbench, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. It runs on Android 11 out of the box and has Samsung’s OneUI on the top. It has 4GB of RAM and is expected to have 64GB or 128GB of base storage.
Rumours have it that the phone will pack a 5,000mAh battery and the FCC certification revealed that it will be backed by a 25W fast charging support. The smartphone is speculated to have a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED panel with an HD+(1600 x 720 pixels) resolution. It will have a high 90Hz screen refresh rate.
In terms of cameras, the smartphone is expected to have a square-shaped camera module holding four camera lenses. It will have a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth unit. It will have a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio and a USB Type-C port for charging.
Samsung is likely to announce the Galaxy S22 series of smartphones in January. A fresh leak that has appeared on a South Korean site (via. Tron) speculates on the markets that will be receiving the Snapdragon 898 and Exynos 2200 chipset variants of the S22 models.
The leak claims that Europe is confirmed to receive the Galaxy S22 lineup with Exynos 2200 chip onboard. North American markets are expected to the Snapdragon 898 powered S22 models. However, Verizon Wireless is reportedly in talks with the South Korean company to provide Exynos SoC models.
Markets like China and Hong Kong are expected to receive the Snapdragon 898 variant of the S22 series. China Telecom may release exclusive S22 models powered by the Exynos chip. Reports have revealed that the Xiaomi 11T Pro will be featuring a 108-megapixel triple camera unit, whereas the 11T will be equipped with a 64-megapixel triple camera system. Apart from the difference in the main camera department, there may not be any differences on 11T and 11T Pro handsets.

After missing out on its own Android 11 rollout timeline, Nokia quickly learned from that event and has now expedited the update rollout process. Taiwan-based chipset maker MediaTek has announced that the company will be hosting a launch event on 9th September to unveil a new Kompanio series chipset which is aimed at tablets and notebook computers.
As of now, the company has not revealed which chipset it is planning to launch at the upcoming 9th September event. Currently, the latest Kompanio series chip is the MediaTek Kimpanio 1300T, which is powering the Honor Tab V7 Pro.
For those who are unaware, the MediaTek Kompanio 1300T is based on the company’s flagship Dimensity 1200 SoC. It is manufactured using the 6nm process and has a 1+3+4 three-cluster core design.
It comes packed with four big Cortex-A78 cores and four small Cortex-A55 cores. As for the graphics processor, the chipset bundles a nano-core Mali-G77 MC9 GPU which is superior to the Mali G57 MC5 utilized by the Kompanio 1200.
The chipset is also integrated with a sub-6 GHz bands 5G modem that supports dual-SIM and dual-channel carrier aggregation. It features support for two 1080p displays and for a single display, it supports a resolution of up to 1440p with a 120Hz refresh rate, as well as HDR10+ video playback.

Mercedes Benz has been showcasing the sleek electric sedans that it plans to release next year as it strives towards an all-electric lineup by 2030. In April this year, the German automaker unveiled the EQS electric sedan. It also unveiled the 2022 AMG SL Roadster which packs a flappable touchscreen among other impressive features.
The company has now revealed the 2022 EQE electric sedan at the 2021 IAA Mobility conference. The sleek EV was revealed alongside other EVs such as the AMG performance and Maybach versions of the EQS, EQB compact SUV, and the EQG, an electric G-Wagen concept.
The EQE is a slightly more compact version of the EQS built on the same platform as the bigger sibling. The length is 3.5 inches shorter than the EQS’. Thus, we expect the pricing to be less than that of the flagship EQS but the company is yet to reveal the pricing details.
Some of the features that this model shares with the EQS include the impressive, immersive display known as “hyperscreen” display stretching from one end of the dashboard to the other. The screen will be available as an option. Also available as an option will be the rear-axle steering which will make it easy to park in a tight space.
The base model will pack a 90Wh battery which also powers the entry model of the EQS. The car will get a range of 660 kilometers on a full charge. There will also be a 288HP which will be lower than the 516HP onboard the all-wheel-drive EQS. Mercedes says a second variant will be coming soon but didn’t say if it will be a more powerful version.

Despite it is a more affordable phone, the iQOO 8 has a way more attractive design than the Asus Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders. While the Qualcomm phone has thick bezels around the display, the iQOO 8 comes with a very high screen-to-body ratio and a punch-hole design, as well as an original rear side made with a pattern that reminds of carbon fiber in the Black color option. Those thinner bezels and the punch-hole display make the iQOO 8 more futuristic; further, it has more compact dimensions since it comes with thinner bezels and a smaller display.

The camera is able to record 8K videos at 30 fps and 4K videos at 60 fps. The iQOO 8 still comes with a nice camera including a 50 MP main sensor and a pair of 13 MP lenses including a telephoto camera and an ultrawide sensor, but they are inferior cameras compared to the Snapdragon Phone.
The iQOO 8 is equipped with a bigger battery coming with a capacity of 4350 mAh, so it is able to offer a longer battery life on a single charge. Further, it has a faster charging technology with a power of a whopping 120W. Unfortunately, the Asus Phone for Snapdragon Insiders has just 4000 mAh and its battery life is below average. It supports 65W fast charging which is great, but inferior to the iQOO 8 in terms of charging speeds.

The starting price of the iQOO 8 for the Chinese market is €500/$600, while you need almost €1300/$1550 to purchase the Asus Phone for Snapdragon Insiders in the global market. The Asus Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders is a superior phone if we exclude battery life and charging speeds. But given its very high price, the iQOO 8 is a better deal.

Last week, it was reported that Transsion Holdings subsidiary Tecno Mobile had silently unveiled the Spark 8 smartphone in Nigeria. Just like we predicted, the next destination for the smartphone will be India. GSMArena quotes an unidentified source as disclosing that the budget smartphone will be unveiled in India next week. Apparently, the source didn’t disclose the exact date for the launch next week.
The Spark 8 is a budget phone located at the bottom end of the spectrum making it a pocket-friendly option for those low on cash. The specs lineup is anything but inspiring. The device is powered by an Helio P22 chipset paired with 2GB of RAM and there is 64GB of internal storage onboard.
The budget phone features a 6.5-inch waterdrop notch IPS LCD screen with 1600 X 720 pixels resolution. The rear design includes a wide square camera module housing a dual-camera setup, LED flash, and fingerprint sensor. The camera includes a 16MP main shooter and a QVGA sensor. The front notch houses an 8MP sensor.
The phone runs HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11 Go Edition from the go. It also crams a 5000mAh battery under the hood with support for 10W charging via a microSD port.
The phone sells for around $130 but we expect the India price to be lower.
Every once in a while, WhatsApp drops support for older versions of platforms it is available on. The last time this happened was in December 2020. Within a year, the Facebook-owned instant messaging service has revealed when it will be ceasing operations for even more devices.
According to the official WhatsApp FAQ page (via Yahoo Finance Australia), the messaging app will stop working on the versions of operating systems that were set as a bare minimum at the end of last year.
This means the world’s most-used instant messaging service will no longer work on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, iOS 9, and KaiOS 2.5.0 from November 1, 2021.
If you are using smartphones/feature phones running any of the operating systems mentioned above, you will have to either update to a newer version if available or switch to a handset with the new minimum requirements to continue using WhatsApp.
The company states that from the first of November, 2021, WhatsApp will require a minimum of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, iOS 10, or KaiOS 2.5.1. Additionally, the firm explicitly mentions that no matter the iOS version, if an iPhone is jailbroken, the application will not work.
Since WhatsApp will be retiring very old versions of Android and iOS, the changes won’t affect many users. However, we cannot say the same for KaiOS users as these consumers may not know how to update their phone or the OEM might not have pushed any new firmware.
AT&T is preparing to shut down its 3G network in just five months from now, in February 2022, and the telco is not in the mood to leave behind its customer with no signal.
In an interesting turn of events, AndroidPolice’s founder Artem Russakovskii received a Galaxy Note 9. The irony was that he didn’t have any clue about it; meanwhile, several Reddit users have been reporting the same incident where people have reported receiving a two-year-old Galaxy smartphone out of the blue. Well, many customers also received the Galaxy Note 10’s with communication from AT&T.
“We have not changed our plans to replace 3G network-dependent devices. However, inventory constraints mean we sometimes must find substitutes for some devices,” AT&T in a statement to consumers when inquired about the mysterious Galaxy Note’s. Moreover, AT&T confirmed to AndroidPolice that the new smartphones would be coming with the factory operating system.

T Mobile will offer free 5G upgrades to customers using the 3G CDMA network upon shutdown. However, it’s not clear if T Mobile will be offering hardware upgrades or not. Meanwhile, Verizon has given its users quite a lot of time to figure out their contingency plan.
According to the report, Ma Bell is offering like-for-like platform replacement to its consumers for quite some time now. The Flip phone owners have been getting new compliant flip phones, whereas users with older iPhones are getting the iPhone SE 2. AndroidPolice also suggests that Android users have been getting RADIANT Cores on demand for a new smartphone. The publication reports that some users are getting the smartphones they’ve asked for while others are not. It also suggests that AT&T have been sending S9 and A11 to some customers.
TCL has launched a new smartphone dubbed TCL 20Y in the South American, African markets. The major highlights of the phone are triple cameras, MediaTek SoC, and a 4,000mAh battery.
The TCL 20Y comes at a price of GHS799(~$132) for the sole 4GB RAM and a 64GB storage variant. It comes in two colors Black and Blue. The smartphone has a thick form factor with a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution. It is a water-drop notch panel with a noticeable amount of bezels.

It equips a triple camera system at the rear with a 48MP main sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera setup is placed vertically and is also accompanied by an LED flash. Upfront, it has an 8MP selfie camera. The phone also has an earpiece above the selfie camera.
Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Helio A25 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. TCL has also offered a dedicated microSD card slot for additional storage. It packs a 4,000mAh battery which can be juiced up by the USB Type-C port. The smartphone runs on Android 11 out of the box and TCL’s custom skin on top of it. As for security, it has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
In related news, TCL recently launched the TCL L10 Pro smartphone in Brazil. It comes with a 6.22-inch HD+ display. It features a 13MP triple rear camera system and a 5MP selfie camera setup. It is powered by the Unicsoc SC9863A SoC and has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.
Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has officially unveiled the Redmi Buds 3 truly wireless earbuds in China. The Buds 3 arrives as the brand’s first headset with a semi-in-ear design. It carries a price tag of 199 yuan (~$30) but will be open for crowdfunding from September 8 via Xiaomi Youpin and Xiaomi Mall at a reduced price of 159 yuan (~$20).
As stated, the Redmi Buds 3 true wireless earphones adopt a semi-in-ear design while the charging box adopts a compact square box design similar to that of Apple AirPods. The earbuds each weigh just 4.5g which means they are ultralightweight. The design also ensures that they can better fit the curve of the ear canal and bring a more comfortable wearing experience.
The headset is equipped with Qualcomm QCC3040 high-energy chip and supports Qualcomm aptX Adaptive audio decoding technology. While ensuring a stable connection, it provides a better listening experience with a full link delay as low as 95ms.
In terms of sound quality, Redmi Buds 3 has a built-in 12mm large-size composite diaphragm moving coil, which can restore more sound details. Under the adjustment of Xiaomi Audio Lab, it outputs a rich bass and the treble output is clear and undistorted.
Further, the headset has two built-in high-sensitivity microphones, combined with Qualcomm’s cVc noise reduction technology, which can dynamically reduce environmental noise and reduce echo during calls.
In terms of battery life, Redmi Buds 3 can each last for up to 5 hours on a single charge while with the charging box, the usage time can be extended up to 20 hours. Also, the company claims a 10-minute charge can deliver up to 1.5 hours of playback.
The Buds 3 also comes with the IP54 dustproof and waterproof rating and support for wearing detection, search for headsets, MIUI quick connect pop-up window and other functions. It also supports touch control. By touching the back of the headset, you can control the headset to play music, answer calls, etc. At the same time, long-pressing the touch control button wakes up the XiaoAI assistant.
