Xiaomi debuted the Redmi Note 10 series in March. But just like last year, these phones are not sold in China. That’s because the company’s home country will be getting different smartphones with 5G connectivity under the same names. Ahead of their launch, details regarding these handsets have started to pop up.
Redmi Note 10 Pro (Max)
The Redmi Note 9 series for China includes three devices, namely Redmi Note 9 5G, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 9 4G. All three phones are also available in global markets with different names.
Similarly, this year, China’s Redmi Note 10 series is rumored to have the following devices.
Redmi Note 10 5G
Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G
Redmi Note 10 Pro+ 5G
The cheapest model in the lineup has already been certified by TENAA. According to the listing, it will be the same Redmi Note 10 5G that’s sold in global markets but with support for 22.5W fast charging instead of 18W.
Earlier today, a tipster on Weibo revealed that a smartphone in the Redmi Note 10 series for China will be powered by the newly announced MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC. This handset could break cover as Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G since the Redmi Note 10 Pro+ 5G is rumored to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset.
Unfortunately, nothing else is known about these devices. But we do expect to learn more about them before their official release.

Chinese tech giant Huawei has today confirmed that the company will be launching its new true wireless earphones under the FreeBuds lineup in the market, named Huawei FreeBuds 4 at 02:30 PM local time in China on 19th May.
The poster shared by the company showcases that the upcoming earphones as well as its charging or carrying case look almost similar to its predecessor. The company has adopted the semi in-ear design for the earbuds instead of the full in-ear design.
Now, with this semi in-ear design of the Huawei FreeBuds 4, the noise cancellation feature’s performance remains to be seen. It will be interesting to see how the company has managed to offer this feature.

Donald Trump isn’t the president of the United States but TikTok’s battles are far from over. The US Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs has unanimously passed a bill that would restrict federal workers from downloading Chinese social networking and video-sharing app TikTok into US government devices. The bill is sponsored by Senator Josh Hawley, who released a press statement on Wednesday confirming the development. A search through the US Senate and Congress records shows that this is not the first time a bill of this nature would scale through the committee level.
There are rising concerns in the US that TikTok is growing rapidly in its popularity, especially among teens, amidst accusations that ByteDance, the app’s owner, is connected with the Chinese government. TikTok continues to insist that it has no relationship whatsoever with Beijing.
Senator Hawley insists TikTok is an immediate security threat to the US. He is also calling out his colleagues across the partisan divide to unify to give the bill full bipartisan support as the Senate continues to address Beijing’s covert data collection campaign using apps like TikTok.
In another development, the Italian data protection regulator has asked TikTok to strengthen measures to prevent underage users from accessing the app after TikTok removed up to half a million users under age 13 within the past three months. This followed closer regulatory scrutiny of the app in the aftermath of the death of a 10-year old girl who participated in a breath-holding challenge on the platform.
The regulatory body has directed the social networking platform to cancel any accounts linked to users under 13 years within 48 hours and prevent access to underage users. TikTok has also been mandated to launch communication initiatives that would clearly specify that the app is not open to children under the age of 13.

Xiaomi recently launched its new earphones with Active Noise Cancellation named Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro which offers a noise reduction of 40dB. They are priced at 799 yuan (approximately $124) and will go on sale in China from 21st May.
In related news, Vivo is also gearing up to launch its new true wireless earphones in the Chinese market named Vivo TWS 2, the successor to the Vivo TWS launched in 2019, on 20th May. Sony will introduce two new color variants to its PlayStation 5 DualSense controller. The gaming giant says the two new colors – Midnight Black and Cosmic Red will be available from June 2021.
The broad concept behind the design of the two new color variants is the Galaxy containing a vast array of elements in the universe. The Midnight Black controller has two different shades of black and light grey. It mimics the view of space through the night sky. The panoramic view sometimes provided by the night sky lends support to the concept behind the choice of color. The Cosmic Red controller, on the other hand, features a distinct two-tone color make-up.
According to Sony, the design concept was inspired by the unique, vivid shades of red that can be found throughout the universe. The release marks the first time Sony would be releasing two new colors for the DualSense controller.
The pair of new DualSense controllers for the PlayStation 5 have similar designs with minimal differences relating to the choice of colors. The matching button colors alternate between black and red. A touch of blue is also present in both controllers to give a unique hybrid between the past and the present.
The new Sony PlayStation DualSense wireless controllers provide an impressive gaming experience for users. The DualSense controller is a significant improvement from previous controllers. It features haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. The wireless controller was a massive hit after its release. It provides gaming buffs with an excellent gaming experience while playing any of the PlayStation 5 games.
Sony is yet to announce the prices of the two new color options but as a reference, the standard PS5 DualSense controller carries a $69.99 price tag.

The Google Pixel 5 that debuted in September last year did not feature flagship specs like its predecessor model. Instead, the search engine giant made it an affordable device by packing it with upper midrange specs. This year, the Pixel 6 series may go official in September and October. Well ahead of the launch, tipster Jon Prosser has shared the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro renders. Reliable tipster Max Weinbach claims that the new renders are accurate in design. However, he added that the colors may not be correct.
Right off the bat, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro appear very different as compared to the 2020’s Pixel 5. The new renders are said to be based on real-life images of the Pixel 6 line.
The front side of the Google Pixel 6 features a centrally aligned OLED screen with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. All four bezels surrounding the screen appear quite slim, which indicates that it will offer a high screen-to-body ratio. The Pixel 6 Pro sports the same front design. However, it seems to be a larger phone as compared to the Pixel 6.

Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro
Instead of the square-shaped camera module, the Pixel 6 can be seen sporting a new horizontal camera bump, which includes a dual-camera setup and an LED flash. The portions above and below the bump are of different colors. On the other side, the Pixel 6 Pro also flaunts the same rear design, but it features a triple camera system.
The leak has no information on the specs of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Recent reports have claimed that the upcoming Pixel 6 phones could be powered by Google’s own custom-made chip. The search giant is also said to be working on a smartwatch called the Google Pixel Watch. The wearable device is expected to debut with the Pixel 6 series later this year.
A potentially new smartphone by Vivo, the V21 SE has been spotted on the Geekbench database. The Geekbench listing is a sequel to an earlier mention of the Vivo V21 SE on Google Play Console in which some of the specifications of the upcoming smartphone were stated. The device is listed with the model number Vivo V2061. The listing has also provided additional performance metrics and specifications of the upcoming Vivo V21 SE.
Vivo V21
The device with the stated model number Vivo V2061 garnered 553 and 1697 points, respectively, in the single-core and multi-core tests. The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon processor, whose codename corresponds to the Snapdragon 720G.
In addition, the smartphone will have 8GB of RAM (same as the Google Play Console listing), and it will run on Android 11 together with the FunTouchOS. We already know that the V21 SE’s display will have a 1080×2400 pixel resolution and 440PPI pixel density. There are indications that the V21 SE will have a 6.58-inch IPS LCD, a dual-camera system with a 48MP primary camera.
The V21 SE will equally pack a 5,000mAh battery with the possibility of 18W fast charging. We also expect Vivo to come up with a couple of variants of the V21 SE in terms of RAM and internal storage.
Vivo recently released two smartphones from the V21 series in selected countries. The company has not provided any official communication on the possible date of release of the V21 SE, neither have they provided pricing information for the smartphone. We would expect that more details and specifications about the upcoming V21 SE will become available as we move closer to the eventual unveiling of the smartphone.
Realme recently brought two new entry-level phones to the European market: the Realme C21 and the Realme Narzo 30A which is the first Narzo phone launched in the old continent. Given that they are actually sold in the same price range, it is not easy for everyone to understand the differences between these two handsets. That is the reason why we believe a comparison between their specifications will be very helpful. Each of these devices has its pro and cons and we hope you will understand which one is the best for you through this comparison.

Design
Despite they belong to different series, Realme C21 and Realme Narzo 30A have similar aesthetics. What changes are the color variants and the pattern of the rear cover, but for the rest, they are pretty much the same. They both feature a rear-mounted circular fingerprint reader and a square-shaped camera module, as well as a 20:9 display with a waterdrop notch. The Realme C21 is the first phone which received the Smartphone High Reliability Certification by TUV Rheinland: it passed more than 20 tests to get it, which indicates it has a strong built quality. Further, the Realme C21 is thinner and lighter than the Realme Narzo 30A because it has a smaller battery.
Display
There are only marginal differences between the displays of Realme C21 and Realme Narzo 30A. Both are IPS panels with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a diagonal of 6.5 inches. With the Realme Narzo 30A, you get a higher brightness with about 470 nits. As you probably noticed, they are below-average display, but they are sufficient panels for daily use and, thanks to their pretty good brightness, they have good visibility outdoor.
Specs & Software
The Realme Narzo 30A is the most powerful device of the duo because it packs a stronger chipset: we are talking about the Helio G70 by Mediatek. It is a better chipset than the Helio G85 found on the Realme C21, for both CPU and GPU performance, but it still remains cheap SoC. Realme C21 and Realme Narzo 30A pack 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of internal storage depending on the chosen variant. In each case, you can expand the internal storage with a dedicated micro SD slot. The handsets also come with dual SIM slots but, unfortunately, they do not support NFC.
Camera
If you want a more versatile rear camera, go for the Realme C21. These phones come with a 13 MP main camera and a 2 MP depth sensor, but the Realme C21 offers an additional third 2 MP sensor for macros. On the other hand, the Realme Narzo 30A is able to click better selfies with its 8 MP front camera, while Realme C21 has a weaker 5 MP front snapper. The differences are not big and these devices are not camera phones: if you are looking for a camera phone, you will be left disappointed by their photo quality.
The Realme Narzo 30A offers a longer battery life simply because it has a bigger battery: with a capacity of 6000 mAh and its efficient display, the Realme Narzo 30A is one of the best battery phones out there. But the Realme C21 is still a great battery phone with its 5000 mAh battery. Both support reverse charging and can be used as power banks.
Price
The price of the Realme C21 in the configuration with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage is €129/$155 in the European market. In order to get the configuration of the Realme Narzo 30A with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, you need €139/$168. The handsets are also available in other markets such as India with different prices. The Realme Narzo 30A wins the comparison due to its bigger battery and better chipset, as well as a better selfie camera. But the Realme C21 offers an additional camera and a sleeker design. Further, it has the TUV Rheinland certification. Given that the price difference between these devices is minimal, on the paper it looks like the Realme Narzo 30A is a better deal. But even if you grab a unit of the Realme C21, you will get a great entry-level device.
