Xiaomi 15T vs POCO F6: Should You Pay More or Save Big?

Xiaomi 15T and POCO F6 may come from the same parent company, but they target very different audiences. The 15T is positioned as a premium flagship with advanced cameras and durability, while the POCO F6 focuses on performance and affordability. This comparison is important because it highlights whether spending three times more on the Xiaomi 15T truly delivers enough upgrades over the value-packed POCO F6.

1. Design and display

Build and Feel:
Xiaomi 15T opts for a premium design with Gorilla Glass 7i protection, a glass fiber back, and IP68 water resistance, making it more durable against dust and immersion. In contrast, the POCO F6 uses Gorilla Glass Victus at the front with a plastic back and only IP64 splash resistance. While both phones feel solid, the Xiaomi 15T offers stronger durability and a more refined finish, which suits users looking for flagship-grade resilience.

Verdict: Xiaomi 15T delivers a more premium and robust build.

Display Quality:
Xiaomi 15T features a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and an impressive 3200 nits peak brightness, making it ideal for outdoor visibility and HDR content. The POCO F6 has a smaller 6.67-inch AMOLED with 2400 nits peak brightness and HDR10+, also smooth at 120Hz. While both are excellent for media and gaming, the Xiaomi 15T clearly wins with higher brightness, finer resolution, and advanced eye comfort through 3840Hz PWM dimming.

Verdict: Xiaomi 15T edges out with superior brightness and visual quality.

Verdict:
Both phones look stylish, but the Xiaomi 15T is more premium with IP68 durability and a brighter, sharper display, whereas the POCO F6 offers solid value with good screen quality at its price.

Please Note: When you buy something using the links in our articles, we may earn a small commission at no cost to you.

2. Specifications

Performance:
Xiaomi 15T runs on MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra with Mali-G720 GPU, paired with UFS 4.1 storage. It focuses on efficiency and smooth everyday performance with AI features in HyperOS 2. On the other hand, the POCO F6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with Adreno 735, a more gaming-oriented chip delivering higher raw performance in graphics-heavy tasks. For gamers and power users, POCO F6 feels more aggressive, while the Xiaomi 15T is better optimized for flagship stability and longer software support.

Verdict: POCO F6 has rawer gaming power, but Xiaomi 15T balances overall performance better.

Battery and Charging:
Xiaomi 15T packs a larger 5500 mAh cell with 67W fast charging, reaching 100% in about 50 minutes. The POCO F6 has a smaller 5000 mAh battery but supports faster 90W charging, filling up in just 35 minutes. Xiaomi prioritizes endurance, while POCO emphasizes speed. For heavy users, the Xiaomi 15T’s bigger battery lasts longer, but the POCO F6 is ideal for quick top-ups.

Verdict: Xiaomi 15T leads in endurance, while POCO F6 excels in charging speed.

Verdict:
The POCO F6 offers stronger gaming performance and faster charging, but the Xiaomi 15T is superior for longevity, daily stability, and software support.

3. Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses:
Xiaomi 15T carries a Leica-powered triple system: 50MP main, 50MP 2x telephoto, and 12MP ultrawide. It supports advanced HDR, 10-bit video, and pro-level features, making it versatile for all scenarios. The POCO F6 uses a simpler setup with a 50MP main and 8MP ultrawide. While it captures good photos for its price, it lacks telephoto and advanced tuning. Xiaomi clearly appeals to photography enthusiasts, while POCO is better suited for casual shooters.

Verdict: Xiaomi 15T dominates with a more versatile and professional-grade setup.

Selfie Camera:
Xiaomi 15T features a 32MP selfie camera with 4K video and HDR10+ recording, ideal for vloggers and video calls. POCO F6 has a 20MP selfie shooter with only 1080p video. The difference is clear, Xiaomi offers sharper photos and video flexibility, while POCO is more basic.

Verdict: Xiaomi 15T is significantly stronger for selfies and content creation.

Verdict:
Xiaomi 15T easily wins with its Leica triple system and 4K selfie camera, while the POCO F6 remains adequate but limited for creators.

4. Pricing

Xiaomi 15T is priced around $760, clearly targeting the upper flagship range, while the POCO F6 costs about $250, making it a budget-friendly powerhouse. The difference in cost reflects the cameras, display, and durability upgrades Xiaomi offers. POCO, however, gives incredible value with high-end performance at a fraction of the price.

Verdict: POCO F6 wins for budget-conscious buyers, while Xiaomi 15T justifies its price for premium features.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, and applicable taxes.

5. Conclusion

Xiaomi 15T stands out with Leica cameras, IP68 rating, extreme brightness display, larger battery, and advanced video features. The POCO F6 shines in gaming with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 90W fast charging, and unbeatable value for the price.

DCS revealed that Huawei has three new models in testing, codenamed Voyager and Sagittarius. The Mate 80 (standard version), identified as VYG-AL00, has appeared in the database of China’s 3C certification platform. The listing has revealed that the device will support 66W wired charging.

On the other hand, the Mate 80 Pro models, with model numbers SGT-AL00 and SGT-AL50, have been spotted at the 3C certification with a 100W charger.

DCS revealed that the Mate 80 series’ engineering prototype unit reportedly comes with a central circular camera housing. Accompanying it is a dual-color temperature bar-style flash placed towards the upper left, and a symmetrical bar-shaped sensor on the top right. A multispectral lens is said to be integrated along the centre axis beneath the primary setup. This design marks a noticeable departure from earlier Mate devices.

In terms of release schedule, DCS indicates that the launch is tentatively planned around November, though Huawei has not officially confirmed a date yet. Previous reports have revealed that the lineup will comprise four models, such as Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro+, and Mate 80 RS.

The camera specifications are expected to vary across models, with the Mate 80 expected to house a 50-megapixel 1/1.5-inch primary sensor, the Pro version moving to a 50-megapixel 1/1.3-inch unit, and both the Pro+ and RS adopting a larger 50-megapixel 1/1.3-inch SmartSens 590 sensor. The entire series or all models except the standard model could be equipped with the Kirin 9030 chipset.

Xiaomi 15T vs Realme GT 7 Pro: Is Paying Double Worth It?

Xiaomi 15T and Realme GT 7 Pro are two 2025 flagships positioned very differently in price but competing on performance, display, and cameras. While the Xiaomi 15T emphasizes Leica imaging and premium software polish, the Realme GT 7 Pro brings Snapdragon 8 Elite power, a massive battery, and aggressive pricing. This comparison is important because it highlights whether paying nearly double for Xiaomi’s refinements is justified, or if Realme’s value-driven approach offers the smarter choice for most buyers.

1. Design and display

Build and Feel:

The Xiaomi 15T opts for a slimmer and lighter body with a glass fiber back, giving it a more practical, comfortable feel for extended use. Its IP68 rating makes it resistant to dust and immersion in water up to 3m, which is slightly more robust than many standard flagships. On the other hand, the Realme GT 7 Pro has a heavier aluminum-glass build, offering a more premium and durable touch. It goes further with an IP68/IP69 rating, protecting against high-pressure water jets and making it more rugged for outdoor usage.

Verdict: The Realme GT 7 Pro offers superior durability, but the Xiaomi 15T has the advantage of lighter ergonomics.

Please Note: When you buy something using the links in our articles, we may earn a small commission at no cost to you.

Display Quality:

The Xiaomi 15T features a large 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with up to 3200 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and a 3840Hz PWM dimming rate for eye comfort. It delivers vivid visuals with excellent HDR handling. The Realme GT 7 Pro uses a slightly smaller 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED with a staggering 6500 nits peak brightness, smoother power efficiency through LTPO, and Dolby Vision support. While Xiaomi delivers higher PWM dimming for eye comfort, Realme provides unmatched outdoor visibility.

Verdict: The Realme GT 7 Pro has the brighter and more adaptive display, though the Xiaomi 15T may appeal to those who prioritize eye-friendly dimming.

Verdict:

Both phones excel in design and display, but with different strengths. The Xiaomi 15T is better for lightweight handling and comfortable everyday use, while the Realme GT 7 Pro is tailored for users who demand rugged durability and ultra-bright screens.

Realme GT 7 Pro edges ahead with its durability and peak brightness.

2. Specifications

Performance:

The Xiaomi 15T is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 Ultra, a capable 4nm chip designed for strong efficiency and smooth multitasking, paired with Mali-G720 graphics. It ensures stable performance, especially with HyperOS optimization, but leans more toward balanced usage. The Realme GT 7 Pro, however, packs the Snapdragon 8 Elite with Oryon V2 cores and Adreno 830 GPU. This flagship processor offers extreme raw power for gaming, AI tasks, and sustained performance at the highest level.

Verdict: Realme GT 7 Pro is significantly stronger for power-hungry users, while Xiaomi 15T balances efficiency with adequate performance.

Battery and Charging:

Xiaomi 15T comes with a 5500 mAh battery and 67W charging, taking about 50 minutes for a full charge. It is reliable and long-lasting, but not the fastest. Realme GT 7 Pro offers a massive 6500 mAh battery (5800 mAh in India) with 120W charging, refueling to 100% in under 40 minutes globally. This makes it a powerhouse for heavy users who want longevity with fast refills.

Verdict: Realme GT 7 Pro outshines with larger capacity and ultra-fast charging, making it more suitable for power-hungry lifestyles.

Verdict:

Overall, Realme GT 7 Pro dominates in performance and charging speed, while the Xiaomi 15T focuses on balanced efficiency.

The Realme GT 7 Pro is the better pick for demanding users, but the Xiaomi 15T may still appeal to those preferring efficiency and longer-term stability.

3. Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses:

The Xiaomi 15T is equipped with a Leica-branded triple camera system: 50MP wide with OIS, 50MP telephoto with 2x zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide. The Leica optics and advanced color tuning bring professional-level detail and color science. Realme GT 7 Pro matches with a 50MP main sensor, but adds a more powerful 3x optical telephoto with OIS and a smaller 8MP ultrawide. While Xiaomi has Leica processing and a better ultrawide, Realme’s telephoto offers more zoom flexibility.

Verdict: Xiaomi 15T wins in overall imaging consistency and ultrawide detail, while Realme GT 7 Pro takes the edge in zoom versatility.

Selfie Camera:

Xiaomi 15T offers a 32MP front shooter with 4K recording, ensuring crisp detail and future-proof video capabilities. In contrast, the Realme GT 7 Pro comes with a modest 16MP sensor limited to 1080p video. For vlogging, streaming, and selfies, Xiaomi delivers much better quality.

Verdict: Xiaomi 15T is clearly superior in front-facing photography and video.

Verdict:

Both deliver solid rear camera systems, with Xiaomi emphasizing Leica-quality imagery and Realme adding stronger zoom. However, Xiaomi’s superior ultrawide and selfie camera make it the overall winner in photography.

Xiaomi 15T edges out with more balanced and versatile camera performance.

4. Pricing

The Xiaomi 15T comes in at around $760, putting it in the upper-mid flagship tier. The Realme GT 7 Pro, however, starts at just $400, nearly half the cost while offering better raw performance, brighter display, and stronger battery. Xiaomi’s higher pricing is justified by Leica cameras, higher PWM dimming, and premium software polish, but the value equation leans heavily toward Realme.

Realme GT 7 Pro offers significantly better value for money, while Xiaomi 15T targets those willing to pay more for brand partnership and advanced optics.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, and applicable taxes.

5. Conclusion

The Xiaomi 15T highlights its Leica camera system, extreme 3840Hz PWM dimming for eye comfort, and longer OS refinement with HyperOS 2. Realme GT 7 Pro distinguishes itself with Snapdragon 8 Elite power, massive 6500 mAh battery with 120W charging, and the industry’s brightest 6500-nit LTPO AMOLED display. Each brings unique strengths aimed at different audiences.

Verdict:

For users prioritizing photography, premium color science, and balanced performance, the Xiaomi 15T is the better choice. However, for those who want unmatched performance, durability, battery life, and value at nearly half the price, the Realme GT 7 Pro is the clear winner.

Realme GT 7 Pro provides a stronger overall package for most buyers, while Xiaomi 15T appeals to enthusiasts seeking advanced camera features and display comfort.

Huawei Nova 14i launches with Snapdragon chip, 7000mAh battery

Huawei has unveiled the new Nova 14i smartphone for the international market. The device shares many of its specifications—and even its design—with the Enjoy 60x and Nova Y91 from 2023. So it’s likely that Huawei is repackaging it under a fresh name to keep it relevant in 2025.

Huawei Nova 14i Specifications

The Nova 14i mostly covers the basics. It comes with a 6.95-inch LCD panel offering a 90Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. Huawei says it also has a 270Hz touch sampling rate for faster touch response.

Under the hood, the Nova 14i runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage.

The phone is available in Blue and Black finishes, both featuring a glossy glass back and a large circular camera module centered at the top. The camera bump houses two rear lenses alongside an LED flash.

On the software side, Huawei ships the phone with the older EMUI 14.2, even though EMUI 15 is already out. There’s also an “X button” on the side, which can launch widgets or frequently used apps with a tap or long press.

Powering the device is a massive 7,000mAh battery, yet the phone remains relatively slim at 8.9mm. Huawei claims it can deliver up to 26 hours of video playback or 60 hours of calls on a single charge.

For cameras, the setup includes a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor on the back, while the front features an 8MP selfie camera in a pill-shaped notch.

Huawei has not revealed pricing for the Nova 14i yet, but more details are expected soon.

Xiaomi 17 series cross one million sales within days of launch

Xiaomi has confirmed that the newly launched Xiaomi 17 series has reached a major sales milestone. The update comes directly from Lu Weibing, partner and president at Xiaomi Group, who revealed that the company has seen a surge in demand and is now pushing production to keep pace with consumer interest.

Xiaomi 17 Pro Max drives demand and supply adjustments

Within two days of its launch, the Xiaomi 17 series surpassed one million units sold. The Pro Max model accounted for more than half of the total, followed by the Pro version. Both devices successfully crossed the 6,000 Yuan (~$840) mark, reflecting a stronger positioning for Xiaomi’s flagship line-up. According to Weibing, this shift represents a historic improvement in the brand’s product structure.

One area of criticism, however, was the absence of a 1TB option in the standard Xiaomi 17 at launch. The company quickly responded by confirming mass production of a 1TB variant, which will officially go on sale from 5 October at 5,299 Yuan (~$745). This price is 200 Yuan (~$28) lower than the equivalent version of the Xiaomi 15.

Weibing highlighted that the 17 series has already outpaced the Xiaomi 15 in terms of sales speed and expressed confidence that the overall volumes will exceed the previous generation.

Despite some stock shortages and high demand for certain configurations, Xiaomi has pledged to increase supply so that customers can get their devices sooner. The company’s record-breaking first-day sales figures and strong response to higher-end models underline how its latest flagship strategy is resonating with buyers.

Samsung is bringing back the Plus model for the Galaxy S26 after the S25 Edge fell flat

Samsung seems to be walking back its decision to phase out the “Plus” variant in its flagship lineup. According to Korean outlet The Elec, the company has restarted development of a phone codenamed “M Plus,” which is reportedly the Galaxy S26+.

Earlier this year, Samsung laid out three projects for the Galaxy S26 family: “M1” (the S26 or S26 Pro), “M2” (the S26 Edge), and “M3” (the S26 Ultra). The idea was to replace the Plus model with a new “Edge” version, betting that a slightly different design could keep the mid-tier option between the base and Ultra models relevant.

Galaxy S25+ 5G

But things didn’t go as planned. The Galaxy S25 Edge, which launched in May, has struggled in the market. According to the report, Samsung has produced only about 300,000 units of the S25 Edge in the past four months, which is even less than the Galaxy S25 Plus’s 500,000 units in the same period last year.

The weak performance of the S25 Edge seems to have forced Samsung’s hand. While the Edge branding might have been an attempt at refreshing the lineup, the low numbers suggest it didn’t resonate with buyers.

For Samsung, abandoning the Plus model entirely would put more pressure on its flagship sales, and with profitability already at stake, the company appears to be choosing the safer route by reviving the S26 Plus.

It’s not clear yet whether Samsung will continue the Edge model alongside the Plus, or if this is a full rollback to the old formula. Either way, the decision shows how cautious the company has to be with its flagship lineup, where even small missteps can quickly add up.

Samsung’s New Premium Foldables Teaser: Is it the W26 series?

If you’re wondering about the Galaxy Z Flip 6, it was simply dubbed the Samsung W25 Flip. So these Chinese only variants feature much of the same specs and features. But what really sets them apart is their luxury designs. Last year, Samsung released the W25 and W25 Flip with Gold Armor Aluminum Frame. These new premium phones will be unveiled during Samsung’s Heart of the World event, where it is also giving away a Galaxy Watch Ultra.
