This wave the wristband produces according to Swiss electronics engineer Kurt Stoll “the manufacturer of the device”, mimic the natural electromagnetic signatures of thunderstorms. How does it work? immediately the mosquitoes detect the wave through there hair-like sensory organ known as the sensilla, the mosquitoes would flee and find shelter, thinking that a storm is coming.

The electromagnetic waves according to the manufacturer is not harmful to man, unlike other devices which use different chemical and at the tail end, ocould causes different illness to man. LG V40 360° video and CAD-based renders surfaces

The tradition at LG is to release two flagship smartphones each year. The G-series is for the first half of the year while the V-series usually gets announced in the second half of the year. This year, LG changed things a bit by announcing the LG V35 in May, a small refresh, sort of, over last year’s V30. But the main V-series flagship, the LG V40 will launch this half.

Popular leaker @Onleaks has gotten his hands on CAD drawings of the LG V40 and has collaborated with Slashleaks to make 3D renders as well as a 360° video.

LG V40 CAD render

The LG V40 takes a cue from Huawei’s P20 Pro and packs triple rear cameras, however, LG is using a different design. The three cameras are lined up horizontally at the center. They share a single housing and are flanked by a LED flash on the left. There is also a fingerprint scanner below the setup and the device’s name etched a few millimeters below.

The LG V40 has a 6.3-inch display and will also sport a notch like the LG G7 but its own notch will house dual cameras bringing the total number of sensors on the device to five. The notch isn’t wide or deep like we have seen from some other manufacturers. If you do not like the notch, there will be a settings menu where it can be hidden.

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGU0LLv9zII[/embedyt]

There is a bit of bezel at the bottom below the screen which is sort of standard on Android devices with a notch. The only difference may be the thickness. From the renders, we can also see that the LG V40 has a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C port, and a speaker grille at the bottom.

[envira-gallery id=”208074″]

The dimensions of the phone have also been provided. The LG V40 will measure 158.8 x 75.8 x 7.8mm. It has a camera bump so if you factor that in, it measures 8.2mm at its thickest point.

BlackBerry KEY2 LE debuting at IFA 2018 on August 30

Despite physical keyboard having totally disappeared in the phones market due to the big touchscreen displays, BlackBerry is still releasing devices with physical QWERTY keyboards. After launching the new KEY2 with upper-midrange specs, the Canadian company acquired by TCL will soon announce its more affordable Lite version: BlackBerry KEY2 LE. Today, BB’s official account on Twitter has posted a teaser video which confirms that the handset will officially debut at IFA 2018, on August 30.

Just like its older sibling, BlackBerry KEY2 LE will be equipped with a physical QWERTY keyboard with a space bar doubling as a fingerprint reader. It is expected to come with an unusual 4.5-inch display (due to the presence of the keyboard) with an “almost” Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1620 pixels.

On the hardware side, there will be an octa-core Snapdragon 636 chipset running at a max clock frequency of 1.8 GHz, supported by 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of internal storage depending on the chosen variant. The rear plastic back should house a dual camera configuration with resolutions of 13 and 5 MP, while the front camera should be a 5 MP snapper. At last, the battery will have a capacity of 3000 mAh. Excluding the keyboard, none of BlackBerry KEY2 LE alleged specs are impressive, so we hope at least that it will be sold at a reasonable price.

AGM X3 surfaces on TENAA ahead of August 29 launch

Chinese phone manufacturer, AGM, is set to launch a new rugged smartphone on Wednesday, August 29. The new phone which will be sold as the AGM X3 will be the most powerful rugged smartphone available as it will come with a Snapdragon 845 processor. Ahead of its release, the phone has appeared on China’s network agency, TENAA, baring all its specs.

The AGM X3 will come with a 5.99-inch screen with a 1080 x 2160 resolution. It is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.649GHz which has been confirmed to be the Snapdragon 845 mobile platform. There will be two configurations – one will have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage while the other will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Irrespective of the version purchased, owners will be able to add more storage via a MicroSD card slot.

[envira-gallery id=”208051″]

On the back of the phone are dual cameras arranged vertically. The TENAA listing says one of the rear cameras is a 20MP sensor but the pixel count of the second sensor isn’t stated. There is also a 24MP sensor in front for selfies and video calls. Below the dual rear cameras is a fingerprint scanner for keeping the phone secure.

The AGM X3 will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and pack a 4,100mAh battery. While it may be a big battery when compared to other flagships released this year, the capacity is actually much smaller than that of the AGM X2 which has a 6000mAh battery.

The X3 will only be available in black according to TENAA. Seeing as it is a rugged smartphone, it is no surprise that the phone weighs 200g. Its dimensions are given as 167.5 x 81.5 x 10.5 mm.

Based on the pictures provided by TENAA, the AGM X3 appears to have a back made of glass with curved sides. There is a rubberized frame with extra thick corners that runs around the phone to absorb shocks when it falls.

OnePlus 6T certified in Russia, EEC confirms its existence

Finally, we have got a concrete piece of information about the OnePlus 6T. The upcoming flagship which has been reported to officially debut in November has just been certified by the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) in Russia. This kind of confirms its existence after tons of mere rumors. So, even though no important technologic breakthroughs have been made and no new flagship chipsets by Qualcomm have hit the shelves in the past few months, the second OnePlus flagship of this year will come just like in 2017.

Sadly, the EEC did not release any info about the specs sheet of the flagship. From the Russian agency, we only know that it has been certified with the model number A6013. So, we still have to rely on rumors. According to recent rumors, the upcoming OnePlus 6T will come with the same design as the new Oppo R17 Pro, which includes a waterdrop display which will have a minimal notch just for the front camera and an even higher screen-to-body ratio than its predecessor. But there should be a difference: the 6T is not expected to come with an in-display fingerprint reader, so it may be placed on the back.

It may even be available in gradient color variants like Stream Blue of the R17 Pro. And it may sport a triple camera setup composed of three sensors: one with a 12 MP resolution and a variable aperture (it will be possible to switch from f/1.5 to f/2.4) just like the latest Samsung flagships, one with a 20 MP resolution and a f/2.6 aperture and a TOF 3D stereo camera for AR able to capture depth info. The display of the OnePlus 6T should be a bit bigger than the one of its predecessor (6.4 inches with AMOLED technology and Full HD+ resolution), while the processor will be the Snapdragon 845.

Huawei P20’s night mode coming to Mate 10 series

The Huawei Mate 10 series have received a number of key updates this year that have brought it close to par with the Huawei P20 series. Majority of these updates have been in the camera department and it appears Huawei isn’t done with the 2017 flagships yet.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro

A new info says the Mate 10 series (Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, and the Porsche Design Mate 10) will soon get the Night Shot camera mode of the P20 series via an update. With Night Shot, users will be able to take better photographs in low-light. On the Huawei P20, the camera combines multiple shots into a single image when taking pictures in night mode. The result is a brighter image with less noise.

The Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro were released last year and are the first Huawei phones to come with the Kirin 970 which is the same chipset in the Huawei P20 series.

Ulefone T2 will come in a Gradient color option with Helio P60, 6GB of RAM

Ulefone T2 has a couple of smartphones in the pipeline and among them we are most excited about the flagship Ulefone T2. The phone will adopt the latest trendy features of 2018 and bring it at an affordable price tag. The company has teased us with a couple of renders of the device as well, along with a bunch of specifications.

Ulefone T2 02

Ulefone T2 will come with the infamous notch up front with a thin chin at the bottom. The bezels around the display look really thin, but note that this is just a render and the real device may have thicker bezels on the display. Nevertheless, the 6.7-inch FHD+ display should be really good, especially since that it comes from SHARP. Ulefone has also worked on giving us different back color options and the T2 will feature two variants: Black and Twilight gradient with a mix of purple and green.

Ulefone T2 01

As for specs, the Ulefone T2 will feature Helio P60 chipset inside which is a capable CPU powering mid-rangers in 2018. Along with this, the phone will feature 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The dual camera setup is not yet detailed but we know that it’s a combination of Sony and Samsung sensors. Inside, the battery is of 3900mAh which is enough to power the phone for more than a day. Finally, the company is said to use a customized OS for this particular model. We are not sure of what to expect from the software side, but let’s hope its clean and feature rich.

No details about pricing or availability, but the company has been teasing details about the phone via twitter, so make sure to stay tuned to their twitter account! You can also check out their website for more details.

One major aspect we picked from his series of comments is that the Meizu 16X and 16 are not very much different in terms of design.Meizu 16XMeizu 16XMeizu 16X

The Meizu 16X is expected to be released in September and it will feature a Snapdragon 710 chipset. Mr Wong in a recent comment on the forum touted the 16X to be the strongest Snapdragon 710 phone. In addition, he shed light on the display screen parameters of the 16X. The CEO revealed that the Meizu 16X will not feature a notch display design and will utilise the same screen as Samsung’s Super AMOLED screen. He noted the difficulty in getting the supply chain to deliver displays without notch as they think that is the future of smartphones. Jack Wong thinks differently and even went on to state that the water drop design used on the OPPO R17 as well as the pop-up design OPPO Find X and Vivo NEX feature are not the future of smartphone designs. The opinion is exclusively his and time will tell if he’s correct or not. But his comment stems from the fact that innovation seems to be giving way to copycat designs in the adoption of the notch that isn’t a popular design among smartphone users.Meizu 16XMeizu 16X
