Unlike the Vivo X200 that debuted in October 2024, the Vivo X200s moves away from the micro-curved display, embracing a 6.67-inch flat panel with ultra-thin bezels. The screen, manufactured using BOE’s Q10 technology, features a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a crisp and smooth visual experience. Additionally, Vivo has integrated an advanced ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for enhanced security and convenience.

The Vivo X200s will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, an upgraded version of the Dimensity 9400. The D9400+ is said to retain the D9400’s architecture, comprising one Cortex-X925 ultra-core, three Cortex-X4 performance cores, and four Cortex-A720 cores. The primary core clocked at 3.7GHz promises superior single-core performance, optimized multitasking, and faster gaming loads. Available in sizes from a living-room-friendly 55 inches all the way up to a wall-dominating 98 inches, the Q9L Pro looks like TCL’s answer to high-end home theater dreams, packed with advanced hardware and a few standout specs.

The headline feature? TCL’s custom Butterfly Star Screen, which combines HVA panel tech with a dual-layer anti-reflective film that cuts screen glare down to just 0.5%. Peak brightness also climbs with size, from 3000 nits on the smallest set to 4500 nits on the flagship. Samsung’s Galaxy S23 users diving into the One UI 7 Beta 2 are hitting a frustrating issue: the home launcher keeps crashing. While the latest beta, part of the flagship’s new testing phase, packs welcome upgrades, a pesky bug tied to Google’s Gemini assistant is souring the experience for some.

One UI 7 Beta 2 rolled out recently for the S23 series, touting fixes and enhancements like full Drawing Assist, natural language search, and Now Bar tweaks—polishing the Android 15-based update for a smoother user experience. But for several S23 owners, it’s been anything but smooth.

Gemini Live mode seems to be the culprit

The culprit? Gemini Live mode, pre-installed on recent Galaxy devices, powers the Google Assistant with the long-press power key. Things work fine while Gemini Live stays on-screen, overlaying the home interface with live notifications in the status bar.

The system UI crashes when it’s sent to the background. The One UI launcher freezes up—apps open with a tap, but gestures like swiping no longer function in that situation. Lock the phone, unlock it, and it returns to the same state. Soon enough, a “System UI isn’t responding” alert pops up, offering two choices: “Close app” to reboot the launcher (ditching all open apps) or “Wait,” which just stalls until the crash message loops again.

Touch works, but the frozen gestures and inevitable crash make it a chore. Daily drivers of the S23 series who are yet to install the Beta 2 update, are advised to wait for the next version as this one can be quite frustrating at times. Those who have already installed the update are currently stuck picking between a forced restart or “Wait”, hoping the third beta fixes the issue. For now, avoiding Gemini Live mode seems to be the only workaround.

Samsung failed to keep its promise with Galaxy A55’s One UI 7 update

Samsung promised a March rollout for the Android 15-based One UI 7 Beta on the Galaxy A55, but with April looming just minutes away, users are still empty-handed. As the only non-flagship device slated for the Beta Program, the A55’s update delay is raising questions about the company’s update policy.

While the Galaxy A55 is yet to receive the beta update, several Galaxy S and Z series devices are also currently stuck with it, and most of them are “expected” to receive the stable update starting in April. Some of them include the Galaxy S24, S23, S22 series, 6th and 5th generation foldables, and the Galaxy Tab S10, S19, and S8 series. According to the company, the stable rollout will begin starting April 7.

Galaxy A55 has yet to receive Android 15 beta

Moving back to the Galaxy A55, the One UI 7 beta rollout will be the first major OS upgrade. Unfortunately, the South Korean giant failed to keep its promise of rolling out the update within March. Despite Samsung’s Indian subsidiary teasing preparations via a Members Community noticeboard, the timeline’s slipping. And judging from the number and variety of more expensive models waiting for a stable rollout, the A55 users may have to wait till the second half of April for the update.

The recent global launch of the Galaxy A26, A36, and A56—all shipping with Android 15 and One UI 7.0 out of the box—only underscores the A55’s odd limbo. If the beta does drop soon, its testing window might be squeezed short.

Samsung clearly wants the A55 to receive Android 15 soon, but the long list of flagships that are yet to receive the update is likely causing this delay. According to Samsung, One UI 7 is built from scratch, which is why the rollout is delayed this year. The Galaxy A55 still has some time before receiving the stable Android 15 update. But with the Nintendo Switch 2, the upgrades to the internals will help give games extra room to breathe.

Based on our previous reports, the upcoming gaming handheld will feature a new customer Nvidia Tegra chipset, which could potentially match the performance of the Xbox One or PlayStation 4. $80 Amazfit Bip 6 Targets HYROX Athletes with 140+ Workouts, AI Guidance

Amazfit has released the Bip 6 smartwatch, priced at $79.99, aimed at fitness-focused users. It features a 1.97-inch AMOLED display with up to 2,000 nits brightness and comes in Black, Charcoal, Stone, and Red. The device has an aluminum alloy build, 5 ATM water resistance, and a battery life of up to 14 days.

The Bip 6 includes Amazfit’s BioTracker 6.0 sensor for heart rate, blood oxygen, stress, and sleep tracking. It supports over 140 workout modes, including HYROX race and endurance training. The device offers AI coaching and automatic rep counting for strength training, along with offline navigation and round-trip routing for outdoor activities.

Bluetooth calling, message notifications, voice-to-text replies, and Zepp Flow voice commands are supported. The updated Zepp App introduces camera-based food logging (currently available in North America, expanding to Europe) for easier meal tracking.

Wayne Huang, CEO of Zepp Health, described the watch as balancing design and function for active lifestyles. The Bip 6 competes with budget models from Fitbit and Garmin by offering similar features—like an AMOLED screen and long battery life—at a lower cost.

Hisense U7 Series MiniLED TVs Hit Shelves in Time for FIFA Club World Cup 2025

Hisense recently introduced the 2025 ULED TV lineup featuring models such as the U6, U7, U8, and U9 series. Now, the brand has shared more news regarding its U7 Series MiniLED TVs. Designed for gamers and sports viewers, the U7 Series is scheduled to release in the U.S. starting April 15 and, European availability is expected from May 15. The lineup, available in sizes ranging from 55 to 116 inches, features MiniLED PRO technology for improved brightness, deeper blacks, and enhanced HDR performance through increased local dimming zones compared to earlier models.

The TVs use a Hi-View AI Engine PRO, which Hisense states has a CPU 1.6 times faster and an NPU 1.5 times quicker than previous versions. This processor enables AI-driven scene optimization and glare reduction via an Anti-Reflection Screen. Color accuracy is supported by Quantum Dot Color technology and Pantone validation, alongside Dolby Vision, Filmmaker Mode, and IMAX Enhanced for 4K content.

Gaming features include a 165Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, four HDMI 2.1 ports (supporting 4K@120Hz), and Auto Low Latency Mode. Audio is handled by a 2.1.2-channel system with Dolby Atmos and a “Tuned by Devialet” certification, upgradable through a free software update.

Hisense, the official partner of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, promotes the U7 Series as a good option for sports viewing, with features aimed at improving motion clarity and contrast. The MiniLED backlight is intended to maintain detail while delivering higher brightness levels. Prices have not been announced yet.

Vivo has launched the Y300t in China as a mid-range smartphone offering notable upgrades over its predecessor, including a faster chipset, larger battery, and military-grade durability. Positioned for users seeking a balance of performance, battery life, and toughness, it was unveiled alongside the higher-end Y300 Pro+.

Vivo Y300t Specifications

The Vivo Y300t comes with a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD display offering a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1050 nits peak brightness for smooth visuals and outdoor usability. It also includes the TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification for reduced eye strain.

The Vivo Y300t is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, featuring an octa-core CPU up to 2.5GHz and a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU for efficient performance and smooth gaming. It offers up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs Android 15 with OriginOS 15, offering a polished visual experience, smoother navigation, and productivity features.

On the back, the Y300t is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth sensor for portrait shots. It supports 4K video recording, Super Night Mode, AI object removal, and dynamic photo features. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.05 aperture, suitable for selfies and video calls.

The Y300t packs a large 6500mAh battery with 44W fast charging via USB-C, and Vivo claims it can maintain battery health for up to five years, making it ideal for extended use without frequent recharging.

The Y300t features a durable build with an anti-drop structure, providing splash and dust resistance along with reliable touch response even with wet or oily hands. It is MIL-STD-810H certified and has passed five military-grade durability tests, including impact, rain, dust, high temperature, and low temperature.

The phone also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and USB Type-C audio. In terms of connectivity, it includes 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band GPS with support for GLONASS and Beidou, and NFC.

The Vivo Y300t will be available in Ocean Blue, Rock White, and Black Coffee color options and is set to go on sale in China starting April. Pricing is as follows:

Frame Rate King: AOC’s AGON Pro AG246FK6 Smashes 600Hz Barrier for 1080p Gamers

AOC has launched the AGON Pro AG246FK6 gaming monitor in China, priced at 6,499 yuan (approximately US$895). The monitor is designed for competitive gamers, as it features a native 600Hz refresh rate—the highest available for 1080p displays. The 24-inch Fast TN panel uses HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC to support this speed, making it ideal for fast-paced games like Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant.

The monitor is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified, with 500 cd/m² peak brightness and an 80M:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Factory calibration ensures a color deviation of ΔE<2. It covers 99% of the sRGB and 90% of the DCI-P3 color gamuts. Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync) reduces screen tearing, and additional gaming features include dynamic crosshairs, dark field control, and MBR+ motion blur reduction.

Design-wise, it has a 1.5mm micro-frame bezel and a Red Dot Award-winning asymmetrical stand with customizable RGB lighting (14 effects, over 100,000 colors). The stand supports 130mm height adjustment, 180° pivot, 28° tilt, 60° swivel, and VESA mounting. AOC’s “Aigong Esports” software and a dedicated hardware controller allow fast, manual adjustments.

It also includes four USB 3.2 Gen1 ports (one with fast charging), a retractable headphone hook, and PIP/PBP multitasking support. Eye-care features include Flicker-free technology and low blue light modes.

While the 1080p TN panel doesn’t match OLED or IPS in viewing angles or color depth, the AG246FK6 focuses on ultra-low latency and competitive gaming features. Global availability has not been confirmed.

LG has released the UltraGear 27G850A gaming monitor in the US and UK, priced at $799.99 and £749.99 (incl. VAT). It features a 27″ Nano IPS Black panel with a 2000:1 contrast ratio, dual-mode support (4K at 240Hz or 1080p at 480Hz), a 1ms GtG response time, 99% DCI-P3 coverage, and HDR brightness up to 670 nits.

TCL Just Launched T7L Mini LED TV Series: 144Hz 4K, 2200 Nits & Dolby Vision Gaming

TCL has officially introduced its latest T7L series QD-Mini LED TVs at a launch event in China, aiming to raise the bar for mid-range premium televisions. The series stands out with its advanced QD-Mini LED panels that deliver peak brightness levels of up to 2200 nits, a 7000:1 static contrast ratio, and support for a high 144Hz native refresh rate, overclockable to 288Hz. Available in four sizes—55, 65, 75, and 85 inches—the T7L series starts at an attractive 3,499 yuan (roughly $480).

The T7L lineup is built around TCL’s Quantum Dot Pro 2025 technology, offering a 98% DCI-P3 color gamut for vivid and color-accurate visuals. The TVs utilize Huaxing’s high-end HVA panel with a polyimide-enhanced liquid crystal alignment, ensuring excellent contrast and wide 178° viewing angles.

In addition, TCL’s Matrix Backlight Zone technology enables precise local dimming, with zone counts ranging from 480 in the 55-inch model to 840 in the 85-inch variant. Despite fewer zones compared to some higher-end TVs, TCL claims its backlight control and contrast outperform typical 1000-zone Mini LED implementations.

For audio, TCL has partnered with Onkyo to equip all T7L models with a 2.1.2-channel Hi-Fi system. This includes upward-firing speakers and a built-in subwoofer, delivering an immersive Dolby Atmos experience ideal for both movies and gaming. Speaking of gaming, the T7L supports HDMI 2.1 on all four ports, 4K 144Hz input, AMD FreeSync, and MEMC motion compensation—providing ultra-smooth, tear-free visuals for high-frame-rate gaming.

Smart features are powered by TCL’s Lingkong OS 3.0, which offers a clean, ad-free interface with a customizable 4K-resolution UI. Internally, the TVs are powered by a quad-core A73 processor, Mali-G57 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage. They also support Wi-Fi 6 and include TCL’s TSR image quality AI chip and the new Fuxi AI Model—an in-house large language model tailored for smart TVs. This AI assistant boosts voice interaction, personalized recommendations, and generative content capabilities.

Design-wise, the TVs adopt a modern and minimal aesthetic with an 8mm ultra-thin bracket for flush-to-wall mounting. Connectivity options are plentiful, including USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports, LAN, AV input, optical output, and an antenna port.

Alongside its new TVs, TCL has also introduced the Z100 Soundbar, a modular, room-aware audio system designed with Dolby Atmos support.
