Apple confirmed that iOS 18 will be available for download on September 16th, just a few days before the iPhone 16 series launch. The update will reach all compatible iPhones on the same day while the iPhone 16s will ship pre-installed with it.
The headline feature of iOS 18, Apple Intelligence, won’t be available immediately, though. Users will have to wait for iOS 18.1 (or iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1) to experience it, the rollout of which is expected in October.
Also, the first batch of AI features will be limited to US English. Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and UK will get their regional English support in December. Whereas, other major languages like Chinese, French, and Spanish will get support next year.
Apple Intelligence promises a range of features designed to enhance productivity and communication. October’s update will introduce system-wide Writing Tools, enabling users to rewrite, proofread, and summarize text across various apps, including Mail, Notes, and Pages.
iOS 18.1 also brings AI-powered improvements to the Photos app. Users will be able to create short movies based on descriptions within the Memories feature, search photos using natural language queries, and pinpoint specific moments within videos. Additionally, the update introduces a “Clean Up” function that removes unwanted objects or people from photos.
The Notes and Phone apps will benefit from AI-powered recording transcription and summarization. Similarly, emails will be condensed into summaries, while Mail receives a revamp with Priority Messages and Smart Reply functionalities.
Siri is receiving a significant overhaul with iOS 18.1. The virtual assistant will now support on-device typing for queries, alongside a more “natural” and “flexible” conversational style. Notably, Siri will be able to answer “thousands of questions” about Apple device features and settings.
It’s important to note that Apple Intelligence requires a relatively recent device. The AI features will only be available on the newly launched iPhone 16 lineup, iPhone 15 Pro, and Pro Max models, as well as iPads and Macs equipped with M1 chips or later.

The comparison between the Indian and US pricing for the iPhone 16 series highlights a noticeable price disparity. Despite the higher prices, Indian consumers can benefit from various offers such as instant cashback, no-cost EMI, and trade-in options, making the new iPhones more accessible.
Comparing the iPhone 16 Pro series to last year’s iPhone 15 Pro series, there is a noticeable price reduction. For example, the iPhone 16 Pro starts at Rs 1,19,900 for the 128GB model, whereas the iPhone 15 Pro started at Rs 1,34,900 for the same storage variant. On the other hand, the 16 Pro Max begins at Rs 1,44,990, whereas the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s base model was priced at Rs 1,59,900. This trend of lower pricing continues across other models and storage options in the iPhone 16 Pro series.

Motorola Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion are strong mid-range phones released in the first half of this year. The Edge 50 Fusion is currently selling for Rs. 24,999, while the Edge 50 Pro costs Rs. 31,999.
There’s a clear gap in pricing between these Edge 50 duos, which is also reflected on the spec sheet. That doesn’t make the Edge 50 Fusion a bad choice. In fact, it’s better than the Edge 50 Pro in many ways.
Here, we will compare the Motorola Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion to help you pick the correct one for your needs.
Let’s start with the spec sheet:
Edge 50 Pro
Edge 50 Fusion
Release Date
April 2024
May 2024
Body
Domension: 161.2 x 72.4 x 8.2 mm Weight: 186 g IP68 rating
Dimension: 161.9 x 73.1 x 7.9 mm Weight: 175 g IP68 rating
Both smartphones share a similar design and look premium. However, the Edge 50 Pro has a larger camera module on the back to house an additional camera sensor. Both are available in vegan leather options and have an IP68 rating for protection against dust and water.
Although the two look similar, the Edge 50 Pro has an aluminum frame, while the Edge 50 Fusion has a plastic frame. This means the Pro model has a better build quality.
Motorola Edge 50 Pro vs Edge 50 Fusion: Display
The Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion are hard to differentiate from the front as they have the same screen size and screen quality. However, the Pro model has a better resolution, but it is hard to differentiate from the naked eye.
Both devices offer a similar experience, but not when playing HDR content. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro supports HDR10+, but the Edge 50 Fusion doesn’t. Both share a 144Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass protection.
On a bright day, the Edge 50 Pro’s content would be more visible outdoors because of higher peak brightness, but the difference is not significant compared to the Edge 50 Fusion.
Motorola Edge 50 Pro vs Edge 50 Fusion: Performance
The Edge 50 Pro edges out the Edge 50 Fusion in terms of performance. The Pro model is driven by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 — It’s not a flagship chip but a popular choice among midrangers.
The Edge 50 Fusion has the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, which can’t match the performance offered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, but provides a smoother experience. You can do light gaming as well.
Because of a faster and more efficient chip, the Edge 50 Pro beats down the Edge 50 Fusion on all benchmarks. On Geekbench, the difference is around 10%, while on AnTuTu 10, the difference is close to 45%.
Although the Edge 50 Pro has more robust camera specs, it couldn’t beat the Edge 50 Fusion in all camera tests.
Both smartphones have a 50MP primary sensor, which captures really good shots. The Edge 50 Fusion shots have more saturation, contrast, and saturation. Both share the same 13MP ultrawide camera, so the output quality is similar.
The third camera sensor in the Edge 50 Pro makes a big difference. It’s a 10MP telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom. Hence, all zoom shots look way better on the Edge 50 Pro than Edge 50 Fusion, which uses digital zoom. Both smartphones do a better job in low-light conditions, but the Pro has a little edge.
In terms of 4K video recording, the Edge 50 Fusion has better quality than the Edge 50 Pro. And the selfie videos have a similar output quality.
Motorola Edge 50 Pro vs Edge 50 Fusion: Software
Both smartphones come with a Hello UI custom skin based on Android 14. As you may already know, Motorola is one of the few brands that offers a close-to-stock Android experience with minimum bloatware.
Motorola has promised three major Android updates and four years of security patches for both Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion.
Motorola Edge 50 Pro vs Edge 50 Fusion: Battery
The Edge 50 Fusion has a bigger battery — It’s 5,000mAh (vs. 4,500mAh on the Edge 50 Pro). So, you’ll get a few extra hours of battery life on the Edge 50 Fusion.
The charging speed on the Edge 50 Fusion is disappointing, though. It supports 68W wired charging, while the Edge 50 Pro has 125W wired charging support.
It takes only 18 minutes to fill up the Edge 50 Pro’s battery to 100%, whereas the Edge 50 Fusion takes a little over an hour. The Pro model also supports 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging, lacking in the Edge 50 Fusion.
Motorola Edge 50 Pro vs Edge 50 Fusion: Connectivity
The Edge 50 Pro offers better connectivity features. It supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, whereas the Edge 50 Fusion has Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2.
While both have a USB-C port, the Edge 50 Pro has a newer generation of USB technology that means faster data transfer over a USB cable.
Motorola Edge 50 Pro vs Edge 50 Fusion: Conclusion
Motorola Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion have a premium design and strong spec sheets, although there are critical differences that set them apart.
The Edge 50 Pro has a more capable chip, which can better handle your gaming needs. Besides performance, the Edge 50 Pro outperforms the Edge 50 Fusion in terms of zoom shots and charging speed. However, the Edge 50 Fusion offers an excellent value for the price.
If you’re much into gaming, the Edge 50 Pro is a better choice. For others, the Edge 50 Fusion seems to offer more value for money.

The smartphone has already been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), confirming its impending launch in India.
Realme has previously teased that the P2 Pro will feature an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout. The device will sport a distinctive oval-shaped camera module with a golden ring, reminiscent of other 2024 Realme models.
The camera setup is expected to include a dual camera system with OIS support, and Realme claims it will be the first smartphone in its segment to offer 80W Ultra charging technology. A single 5-minute charge is said to provide 1.5 hours of gaming, 24 hours of music, or 3.5 hours of movies. The P2 Pro is likely to be priced just below the Rs 20,000 mark.

With Spatial Audio for immersive sound, the earbuds offer 40 hours of battery life, with 9 hours per charge.
The Series 10 is nearly 10% thinner than previous models while maintaining its 18-hour battery life. This is made possible by a new design that integrates the antenna into the watch casing. It comes in aluminum and titanium cases, with several colors and finishes, including jet-black aluminum and polished titanium.
2. Larger Display and Improved Refresh Rate
The Series 10 has the largest display on any Apple Watch, with up to 30% more screen area. The wide-angle OLED technology makes it 40% brighter when viewed from an angle, and the faster refresh rate allows for a continuously moving second hand on some watch faces.
3. Faster Charging
Thanks to the updated back design, Series 10 has faster charging capabilities. Just 15 minutes of charging gives up to eight hours of use, and 30 minutes will charge it to 80%.
4. Sleep Apnea Notifications
In addition to sleep tracking, the Series 10 can now monitor signs of sleep apnea by detecting wrist movements linked to breathing interruptions. The feature will likely receive regulatory approval soon.
5. Water Features
For those who enjoy water activities, the Series 10 includes a depth gauge that measures up to 6 meters and a water temperature sensor. 8. watchOS 11
The Series 10 runs on watchOS 11, which includes new features like the Vitals app, training load insights, customizable Activity rings, and an improved Smart Stack.

The Apple Watch Series 10 starts at $399 and is available for pre-order now, with in-store availability starting on September 20. New watch bands are also available for order.
Apple has introduced a new black titanium finish to its Apple Watch Ultra 2 lineup, adding to the existing natural titanium option and giving consumers more choices.
The black titanium finish is created using a special blasting process followed by a carbon coating, making it highly resistant to scratches and durable for outdoor activities. The back of the watch is made with dark zirconia to match the new color.
Apple has also updated its Trail Loop, Alpine Loop, and Ocean Band with black hardware to complement the black titanium case. In addition, the new Titanium Milanese Loop band offers a more refined look, inspired by mesh bands used by divers, and is both lightweight and resistant to corrosion.
The Apple Watch Hermès Ultra 2 is now available in the black titanium finish as well. This special edition combines the durability of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 with a nautical-themed Hermès band and a unique Hermès watch face for those who want both style and functionality.

The watch includes a rotating crown and action button for easy control, and a new double-tap gesture allows users to perform tasks like answering calls or pausing timers without touching the screen.
Its Always-on Retina display reaches up to 3,000 nits of brightness, ensuring clear visibility even in bright sunlight. Three built-in microphones improve call quality, while machine learning helps reduce wind noise.
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 comes with health-tracking features like a heart-rate monitor, ECG sensor, and SpO2 tracker. It can help detect atrial fibrillation, which can be critical for heart health. For women, the watch offers a menstrual cycle tracker that uses temperature sensors for more accurate predictions.

Both models are expected to sport a 6.67-inch 1.5K display with a 144Hz refresh rate, along with support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and TUV Rheinland low blue light certification. Key features of the OnePlus 13 include a 6.8-inch curved display, a triple camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, a large battery with fast charging, and IP68/69 water and dust resistance.
The latest-generation iPhone 16 series is here. The lineup comprises the standard, plus, pro, and pro max variants. These arrive as the successors to last year’s iPhone 15 models. Alongside the new smartphones, Apple has also unveiled AirPods 4 and Watch Series 10. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus come with incremental upgrades over their predecessor. Apple Intelligence is the main highlight of this year’s models. Read on to know everything below.
iPhone 16, 16 Plus debut
The most notable change on the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus is in design. Apple has gone back to the iPhone X-era by ditching the square camera island and a diagonal sensor placement found on recent-generation iPhones. The new models have a protruding pill-shaped camera module with the sensors stacked vertically. The Cupertino-based tech giant has also parted ways with the legacy mute switch in favor of the Action Button found on last year’s Pro models. Apple has retained the same frosted glass back panel on the iPhone 16 duo. Surprisingly, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus also feature a dedicated camera button (more about it below).
The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus come with the same OLED screen measuring 6.1 and 6.7 inches as their predecessor. There is a dynamic island and the display packs 2,000 nits peak brightness.
On the optics front, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus feature the same cameras as their predecessor. This means a 48MP main lens with 2x telephoto and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. The latter also lets you shoot macro images. The phones are also capable of shooting spatial photos and videos, which were limited to the pro models previously. The camera button will work similarly as a DSLR shutter button. A light press will focus on the subject whereas full press will capture the image. Notably, the button is also touch sensitive, so sliding on it will enable adjusting settings like zoom.

Apple conducted its annual fall event today. As usual, the Cupertino-based tech giant unveiled the latest generation iPhone 16 series and Watch Series 10. The company also announced the AirPods 4, a much-needed upgrade to the AirPods 3 that debuted way back in 2021. This time, Apple has released two models of AirPods 4 – one is an entry-level offering and the other is a regular option.
Apple AirPods 4 arrives in two models
The AirPods 4 retain the same design as the predecessor models including a semi-in-ear stem and silicone ear tips. Apple says that the latest earphones will offer a better fit for most people’s ears. They are IPX4-rated water-resistant. You still get to perform various functions by tapping on the stem of the earbuds. Now, users also get the option to nod yes or shake a no to respond to Siri and incoming calls.
In terms of audio, the AirPods 4 features Personalized Spatial Audio with head tracking for an immersive sound experience. The budget model lacks ANC whereas the premium offering comes with active noise cancellation that was previously exclusive to the AirPods Pro. The TWS earphones come with a Conversational mode that reduces the volume when you’re talking to somebody. The ANC version also packs transparency mode and adaptive audio. This gives interested customers more choices while purchasing depending on their usage preferences and budget. Both AirPods 4 models are equipped with an H2 chipset. It is said to improve battery life, personalise the listening experience, pair faster, and more.
The AirPods 4 are claimed to be backed by 30 hours of battery life with a storage case that supports wireless charging. With the latest offerings, Apple has also completed the shift to USB-C ports across all its devices. The earbuds are rated to offer 6.5 hours of usage.
The AirPods 4 duo come with several features including Find My, a revamped case with a built-in speaker, seamless audio switching, and more.
The AirPods 4 entry-level model costs $129 whereas the mid-tier variant carries a price tag of $179. The latter is priced the same as the AirPods 3. Pre-orders start today with sales commencing from September 20.
The Xiaomi 14T Pro is expected to launch sometime in September, aligning with the release of the Xiaomi 13T Pro (review) last year. In the latest news, PassionateGeekz has released a rendering of the device showcasing a refreshed camera island design.
The Xiaomi 14T Pro also appears to pack a total of three cameras on the back, just as its predecessor. However, the cameras and the flash module are now placed in a square layout as opposed to the triangular one of the Xiaomi 13T Pro. The Leica branding is also moved to the center from the bottom left of the camera island. The rendering also shows a relatively simpler camera island design as compared to the predecessor when it comes to the edges.
Xiaomi 13T Pro
Moving on to the front, the render shows a very similar design with slightly slimmer bezels. The placement of Xiaomi branding on the back and buttons on the sides also appears to remain identical as compared to the predecessor.
What we know so far:
According to a previous leak, the camera setup equips the LEICA VARIO-SUMMILUX 1:1.6-2.2/15-60 ASPH lenses. The main camera reportedly adopts the 1.1.31″ Light Fusion 900 sensor.
The 12GB + 512GB version of the Xiaomi 14T Pro is expected cost around €899, while the 12GB + 256GB version of the standard Xiaomi 14T is said to be priced at only €649. While the specific storage and memory options are still unclear, we know that the standard and Pro model will power the Dimensity 8300-Ultra and the Dimensity 9300+ chips respectively.
The Xiaomi 14T Pro has already received NBTC certification and has appeared on Geekbench. The phone will pack a 6.67″ 1.5K display and will support 144Hz refresh rate (same as the predecessor). Although it will support a higher (4000 nits vs 2600 nits) peak brightness. in the inside it packs a 5000 mAh battery and it also IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
We were at IFA Berlin this year, scoping out some of the coolest tech on display. A lot of consumer brands showed up at the event, flexing their best gear and dropping new launches.
Here’s a quick look at Best standout products that we spotted at IFA Berlin 2024:
Switchbot brought their A-game with an air purifier table that doubles as a wireless charger at the event this year. This multi-tasking device serves as a charger, regular table, and air purifier all in one. It’s compatible with Qi wireless charging for both Android and iOS. The whole setup looked slick and would fit right in as a bedside table.
Switchbot also unveiled their K10+ Pro combo—the world’s tiniest robot vacuum paired with a lightweight cordless vacuum and a dual auto-emptying base station.
Honor dropped news of their AI Agent at the event, set to debut on the Magic 7 series. It’s exactly what it sounds like – an AI assistant that speeds up tasks on your phone. Imagine unsubscribing from a service with just a voice command; the AI takes care of the legwork and brings you straight to the final unsubscribe button for confirmation. The brand teased a bunch of tasks during the keynote, so we’re excited to see how well this feature performs at launch.
The Honor Magic V3 is hands down one of the sickest foldables out there right now. It’s the thinnest foldable you can get your hands on—stack it next to a regular smartphone, and you’ll barely notice a difference in thickness. That alone is impressive, but also factor in the massive outer and inner displays, solid build quality, and sweet color options, and you’ve got yourself a top-notch foldable.
I wasn’t expecting much from the MagicBook Art 14, but getting hands-on with it changed my mind real quick. The sleek design, featherlight body, and matte finish blew me away. Sitting next to my MacBook, the 14-inch MagicBook felt way more compact. The cherry on top? The removable magnetic camera you can flip around to record yourself or the person across from you during meetings. Now that’s cool and innovative.
Lenovo showed off a voice-controlled called Lenovo Auto-Twist laptop just before IFA Berlin. This prototype responds to voice commands – tell it to open, twist, or switch to tablet mode. I’m not sold on how practical this is, given how slow it moved after each command, but maybe they’ll refine it before the final product drops.
Keep in mind, Lenovo was MIA at IFA, so I couldn’t check out the prototype in action.
DJI’s Neo mini drone is their tiniest yet, aimed at the everyday enthusiast. Weighing in at just 135 grams, it’s the lightest in the series and comes packed with 6 shooting modes, smartphone controls, and a range up to 50m.
DJI had set up a mini arena for visitors to test fly the drone, showing how easy it is for average Joes to pilot this thing.
So there you have it – this was our roundup of the coolest tech we stumbled across at IFA Berlin 2024. Let me know if you found any other product that stood out at the event.
The Honor Magic V3 made its global debut at IFA 2024, introducing new innovations to the foldable smartphone segment. But how does it stack up against Samsung’s established premium foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 6? Here are three reasons why the Honor Magic V3 might just outshine the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
1. Honor Magic V3 vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: Design & Display
One of the biggest innovations with the Magic V3 is the improvements in design. Honor didn’t throw a “fat” jab at Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 for no reason. For those unaware, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 measures 12.1mm in thickness, while the Magic V3 is just 9.2mm thick. There is nearly 3mm in difference, which is quite a feat. You could even say that it’s a generation ahead of the competition. Honor is also claiming that the Magic V3 is rated to last 500,000 fold cycles.
This device also offers taller primary and cover screens compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Honor’s Magic V3 sports a 6.43-inch OLED external screen with curved edges offering an FHD+ resolution. The primary display is a 7.92-inch OLED panel that offers a resolution of 2,344 x 2,156 pixels. Both screens feature a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. On the other hand, the Z Fold 6 features a 7.6-inch internal and a 6.3-inch external screen with a Dynamic AMOLED 2x panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It offers a 2160 x 1856 resolution on the primary screen, while the cover display has a 2376 x 968 resolution.

2. Bigger Battery & Faster Charging
The Magic V3 packs a large 5,150mAh battery pack, which is bigger than most foldable smartphones of its kind. This cell also supports 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. Both the charging and battery capacity once again outclasses the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Samsung’s flagship foldable phone packs a 4,400mAh battery unit with support for 25W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. So overall, you’re not just getting a bigger battery but the lesser down time since the Magic V3 charges faster. Processor and optimizing also play a role, but both models feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
3. Camera
Samsung released the Galaxy Z Fold 6 with a triple camera setup on the rear with a 50-megapixel primary sensor (OIS), a 10-megapixel telephoto shooter (OIS, 3x Zoom), and a 12-megapixel ultra wide angle lens. For selfies and video calls, users get a 10-megapixel shooter on the cover display and a 4-megapixel under display camera on the primary screen.
While these are quite capable, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 falls short of the Galaxy S24 Ultra in camera despite being more expensive. The Magic V3 arrives with Honor’s Falcon Camera system. This consists of a 50-megapixel 1/1.56-inch main sensor (OIS), a 40-megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto unit (100x digital zoom, OIS). For selfies and video calls, it packs a 20MP camera on the internal and external screens.
Realme announced the Narzo 70 Turbo smartphone in India today. Alongside the brand also launched a new TWS earphone called the Realme Buds N1. They come with noise cancellation, an immersive listening experience, a long battery, and more. The audio device competes against the likes of the Redmi Buds 5, OnePlus Nord Buds, and more in the market. Read on to know what the Realme Buds N1 offer out of the box.
Realme Buds N1 specs
The Realme Buds N1 have an in-ear design with a stem and silicone ear tips for a secure and comfortable fit. It is IP55-certified dust and water-resistant. Users can perform a range of functions by tapping on the stem of the earbuds.
On the audio front, the Realme Buds N1 are equipped with a 12.4mm dynamic bass driver, a titanium diaphragm, and N52 magnets. The audio device features 46dB hybrid active noise cancellation for cancelling any unwanted noise. Each earbud has 3 microphones along with AI-driven call noise reduction using a DNN neural network algorithm for a clear quality on calls. The TWS earphones also come with Spatial Audio for a 360-degree immersive listening experience.

While the release of the Galaxy S25 series is still months away, several rumors have already surfaced, particularly about the Galaxy S25 Ultra. According to one of the precious rumors, the phone will feature an upgraded 50 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
50 MP ultrawide sensor for the Galaxy S25 Ultra
In a recent leak, tipster Ice Universe revealed that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will sport a 50 MP ultrawide sensor. According to the tipster, the sensor measures 1/2.52″, with a pixel size of 0.7μm, and is paired with a wider f/1.9 aperture for better light capture.
For comparison, the current Galaxy S24 Ultra features a 12 MP ultrawide camera with a sensor size of 1/2.55″ and an aperture of f/2.2.
Possible benefits of the resolution upgrade
A 12 MP ultrawide sensor can’t meet the 33.2 MP minimum resolution requirement for 8K video recording. However, with the rumored 50 MP sensor, it would now be possible for the Galaxy S25 Ultra to support 8K video recording from both the main and ultrawide cameras. This upgrade would also enhance video stability due to the ultrawide lens’ wider field of view.
The higher 50 MP resolution brings several benefits, such as room for EIS stabilization when recording in 8K. However, a trade-off is that the field of view may become narrower. Nonetheless, pairing the ultrawide lens with digital stabilization could result in smoother 8K video output.
In addition to the 50 MP 3x telephoto and ultrawide cameras, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will retain the 50 MP 5x periscope telephoto and the 200 MP main camera from the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This setup could allow 8K video recording from all four rear cameras, with potential support for lens switching during recording.
The 50 MP ultrawide sensor will also allow for cropping photos without significant loss of detail, similar to what Samsung has showcased with its high-resolution main cameras.
