Well, as for Huawei MateBook users, the only big transition in the pipeline is the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tags/windows11/">Windows 11</a> upgrade. Huawei has officially confirmed that all its MateBook series laptops will be upgraded to the new version of Windows.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-411253" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Huawei-MateBook-Windows-11-793x1024.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei MateBook Windows 11 confirmed" width="696" height="899" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Huawei-MateBook-Windows-11-793x1024.jpg 793w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Huawei-MateBook-Windows-11-232x300.jpg 232w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Huawei-MateBook-Windows-11-768x992.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Huawei-MateBook-Windows-11-696x899.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Huawei-MateBook-Windows-11-325x420.jpg 325w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Huawei-MateBook-Windows-11.jpg 991w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>This confirmation from the official social media of Huawei on Weibo comes ahead of the October 5 launch of Windows 11. Huawei confirms that all MateBook laptops with pre-installed Windows 10 are eligible for a completely free-of-cost Windows 11 upgrade.</p>

Now, the company had teased the launch of another product &#8212; MateBook D.</p>
<p>Today, the company has confirmed that it will also be launching a new notebook during the same event. Huawei has revealed by sharing a teaser poster on Weibo that the company will be launching the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei">Huawei</a> MateBook D at its 25th November launch event in China.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-290799 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-MateBook-D.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei MateBook D" width="1080" height="1890" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-MateBook-D.jpg 1080w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-MateBook-D-171x300.jpg 171w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-MateBook-D-768x1344.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-MateBook-D-585x1024.jpg 585w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-MateBook-D-696x1218.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-MateBook-D-1068x1869.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Huawei-MateBook-D-240x420.jpg 240w" sizes="(max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px" /></p>
<p>Apart from the name of the product and its launch date, the company has not yet revealed more details about the MateBook D. However, the teaser poster bears some information related to the device.</p>
<p>It can seen in the poster that the notebook will come with two USB ports on the side as well as 3.5mm headphone jack. It is believed that the design of the upcoming Huawei MateBook D will be different from the previous generation devices and the company seems to be focusing more towards the business-class design.</p>

<p>We expect the company to offer more screen-to-body ratio and keep offering the narrow bezel design for the display and some more features to increase productivity. We expect the company to shed more light about this device before its launch through social media teasers, similar to what Huawei is doing with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/11/21/huawei-mediapad-pro-teaser-video/">MatePad Pro</a> and Sound X.</p>
<p>It remains to be seen what the company is planning to launch at the 25th November event in China apart from these three known products &#8212; MateBook D, MatePad Pro, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/11/18/huawei-sound-x-smart-speaker-leaks-launches-november-25/">Sound X</a> smart speaker.</p>

Before the end of 2016, an insider source had revealed that the next model will feature two new sizes. A tweet by EvanBlass (@evleaks) yesterday confirmed it and also revealed their codenames and models.</p>
<p>The Huawei MateBook will be available in three different sizes this year. The sizes were not mentioned in this new leak but we presume they will be 12, 13, and 15 inches. What the leak does reveal are the codenames for the devices. One is codenamed Pascal, another is called Bell, and the third one is Watt. When they launch they will be called the Huawei MateBook E, MateBook X, and MateBook D.</p>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true">
<p lang="en" dir="ltr">Pascal + Bell + Watt = Matebooks E, X, &amp; D (/not/ respectively).</p>
<p>RT <a href="https://twitter.com/rquandt?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@rquandt</a> (Huawei MateBook &quot;Pascal&quot;&#8230;) <a href="https://t.co/beQlSjIDk9">https://t.co/beQlSjIDk9</a> <a href="https://t.co/CgXz5AIeMH">pic.twitter.com/CgXz5AIeMH</a></p>
<p>&mdash; Evan Blass (@evleaks) <a href="https://twitter.com/evleaks/status/851673248333004800?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 11, 2017</a></p></blockquote>
<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p>If you can recollect, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/04/03/huawei-matebook-shows-geekbench-core-i5-7200u-8gb-ram/">Pascal was benchmarked recently</a> and according to another leakster (@rquandt), it has a 15-inch screen. There is a likelihood that they will not only differ in terms of size but also in configuration. Pascal has 8GB of RAM and a Core i5-7200U CPU. The other two may feature less RAM and a less powerful processor.</p>

<p>If you look closely at the image below, the three models differ in terms of design too. The MateBook E looks more like a Microsoft Surface as it doesn&#8217;t look like it is permanently attached to the keyboard/kickstand. So its more of a tablet than a regular laptop.</p>
<p>The MateBook X and MateBook D on the other hand look like regular laptops although with different hinge designs.</p>
