On November 10 at 3:00PM, the follow-up to the Amoi Big V, the Amoi M1, will be formally launched online.

The Amoi M1 is not just a regular smartphone. There are two notable things about it. First, it has a battery supply of, at most, 5200mAh. To best make use of such a powerful battery, the operating system should have more upgrades. Second, it is Amoi’s first Android phone.

With the launch of the new Honor series in Europe, Huawei hopes to sell all of their smartphones in the global market. Along with the Huawei Honor 6, they also introduced European audiences to the Huawei Honor 3C, a low-end smartphone that only costs 139 Euros (174.55 USD).

The Honor 3C’s dimensions are 71.4 x 139.5 x 9.2 mm. It weighs 140g. It sports a 5-inch 1280 x 720 LCD screen. It may not be Full HD, but it is still pretty good considering the price.

The heart of the Huawei Honor 3C’s hardware is its SoC, MediaTek’s MT6582 quad-core processor which uses ARM Cortex-A7 cores and has a frequency of 1.3GHz. It also has 2GB RAM. As for the software, the European version does not have the final version of the operating system, but it does have the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS along with Huawei’s Emotion UI.

This year Koobee introduced four new flagship series: the MAX series, M series, H series, and the Star series. Obviously, the Sugar Macaron Mini would have weaker specs than the original. It sports a 4.7-inch display screen with a 720p resolution. It only has 1GB RAM and 16GB internal memory space. Huawei has not said much about their new device but did say that it will be a “work made out of sincerity,” which means that this device should have a high cost-performance ratio. Its specifications cannot be too great and the price cannot be too high.

It is still too early to come to conclusions based on what has been released so far but could this new device be the Honor Hol which was recently listed in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s website. This phone has average specifications. It uses the 1.3GHz MT6582 quad-core processor and sports a 5-inch HD display screen. It has 1GB+4GB memory and its OS is the Android 4.2. It supports TD-SCDMA internet.

Not too long ago, the Hongmi 4G edition received certification from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s website where it’s listed as 2014501. Its other specs are the same as previous versions including its appearance.

Based on the photo, the Malata S500 looks like it can give the user a nice aesthetic feeling. The front side is completely black while the back and middle frames are blue. The back cover has a grainy design. The Malata S500 also has a more slender design, measuring 143.6 x 72.2 x 8.3mm.

From the model number, we know that the S500 will not be as advanced as Malata’s other new phone, the Sage S510, but its features are still pretty standard. It has a 5-inch HD screen, a 2mP/8mP camera, and 1GB + 16GB memory. It also uses a 2250mha battery and its operating system is the Android 4.2. Its features are more comprehensive. It supports OTG and sensory programs like a gyroscope.

According to official reports, the Malata S500 uses the MTK6582 quad-core chip. Surprisingly, the ad they released shows that it will support 4G internet. It will probably use the MT6582 LTE Edition.

If it’s true, then the Malata S500 will join the ranks of DOOV and ALCATEL as LTE phones that will use quad-core MTK chipsets.

2.                Pros and Cons

The MT6582 is good considering that it’s a low-end product of Mediatek. The screen’s resolution is excellent considering the price. I also liked the ROM size since it allows users to install application with an SD and has 2.6gb for internal storage.

As for what I didn’t like, the camera is terrible (whether in video or photo mode.  It’s at the same level as the Lenovo A850. The flash is very weak.

One problem though is that it does not ask if you                           want to unlock your SIM until you make your first call.
