Topping the list is the recently launched iQOO Z10 Turbo, equipped with the Dimensity 8400, earning an average AnTuTu score of 1,800,196. This makes it the highest-performing non-flagship phone of the month, offering peak efficiency and thermally stable performance.

Coming in second is the REDMI Turbo 4, powered by the Dimensity 8400-Ultra, with an average score of 1,699,698. While it shares the same chip family as the Z10 Turbo, minor tuning differences and device-specific thermal conditions account for the performance gap.

In third place is last year’s OnePlus Ace 3V, featuring the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, which scored 1,418,257 on average. It remains the highest-ranking device powered by a Qualcomm 7-series chip this month.

Some expected models like those with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 are missing from this list (iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro). AnTuTu has clarified that this chip is classified as a flagship by Qualcomm, and thus, phones using it will appear in the flagship rankings, not sub-flagship or mid-range categories. Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi Turbo 4 smartphone in China, which is also rumored to debut as the POCO X7 Pro in the global market next week. The Turbo 4 comes with a new chipset out of the MediaTek camp called the Dimensity 8400, which is expected to go head-to-head with Qualcomm’s mid-range SoCs like the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 4. Now, @TECHINFOSOCIALS has shared the device’s benchmark results, providing a clear view of its performance.

In AnTuTu’s CPU test, the Dimensity 8400 scores 1,799,330, ahead of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (1,654,675) and the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 (1,497,646). GPU performance is another strength, with the Dimensity 8400 scoring 4,086 on 3DMark’s WildLife Extreme test, exceeding the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (3161). On AnTuTu’s GPU test, the Redmi Turbo 4 scores 658,114, well above the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (506,197) and the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 (472,913).

As for Geekbench 6, the Dimensity 8400 achieves a single-core score of 1639 and a multi-core score of 6500. While single-core performance shows only a slight improvement over the Dimensity 8300 (1548), multi-core performance is stronger, outperforming chipsets like the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which powers its predecessor, the Redmi Turbo 3.

The Honor GT gaming smartphone was just launched in China last month. However, Xiaomi also unveiled the Redmi K80 and Redmi Turbo 4 recently with specs that are comparable to the Honor GT. So let’s see if the new gaming phone can take on Redmi’s latest devices.

Honor GT vs Redmi K80 & Redmi Turbo 4: Design and Display

Both the Redmi K80 and Turbo 4 weigh slightly over 200 grams and measure 8.1mm in thickness. But despite being a gaming smartphone, the Honor GT has a slimmer 7.7mm and a lighter 196 grams body. Although, the look is based on preference with the Turbo 4 bringing a design reminiscent of the iPhone 16.

But one aspect the Redmi phones lead is the higher IP68/IP69 rating for protection against water and dust (can survive water immersion up to 1 meter & high temperature water jet protection), against Honor GT’s IP65 rating (only offers protection against dust and jets of water).

On the front, the Honor GT sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 4000 nits of peak brightness. There are also various eye protection features like 3840Hz PWM dimming, low blue light emission, and adaptive dimming as well. Meanwhile, both the Redmi K80 and Turbo 4 feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with 3200 nits of peak brightness and 120Hz refresh rate. the Turbo gets a 1920Hz PWM dimming, while the K80 brings a higher 2K resolution.

Performance

In our Redmi K80 and Redmi Turbo 4 comparison, we noted how the Redmi Turbo 4 with the new Dimensity 8400 Ultra can match the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in benchmark performance and gaming. So we can expect the duo to be on par with the Honor GT gaming phone as well since it also houses Snapdragon’s last gen flagship chip (8 Gen 3).

Similar to the K80, it brings up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. However, the Honor GT placed a great emphasis on cooling as it features a 3D natural circulation cooling system to ensure optimal performance even during long gaming sessions.

Unfortunately, the Honor GT lags behind on the battery side. It is powered by a notable 5,300mAh battery, but the K80 and Turbo 4 packs a massive 6,550mAh cell. While these Redmi phones offer 90W wired fast charging, the Honor GT brings slightly faster 100W fast charging rates.

A few days after the lineup’s release, the brand announced the Redmi Turbo 4 as a new mid-range smartphone as well. So how do these two models compare? Which one is better? Read on to find out.

Redmi Turbo 4 vs Redmi K80: Design & Display

The Redmi K80 is more expensive than the Redmi Turbo 4 and this price difference can be seen in a few areas. The most immediate difference is with the design. Xiaomi unveiled the Turbo 4 model with a glass rear but with a plastic frame. But the K80 pairs its glass rear panel with a metallic frame for a more premium design. Although, both models measure 8.1mm in thickness.

On the front, the Turbo 4 sports a 6.67-inch LTPS OLED display with an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz PWM Dimming, Dolby Vision, and up to 3200 nits of peak brightness. This is a great display for its price, but the Redmi K80 takes things a step further with a higher 2K resolution. The rest of the specs remain the same with a 6.67-inch OLED panel with Dolby Vision, 3200 nits of peak brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Performance

While there are only slight differences in the design and display department, the differences become more apparent under the hood. Redmi Turbo 4 is the first to debut with the Dimensity 8400 Ultra SoC, which is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

On the other hand, the Redmi K80 features Qualcomm’s last gen flagship chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, along with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. While the Turbo 4 might appear to lag behind in performance, the Dimensity 8400 Ultra is a beefed up version of the regular Dimensity 8400 chip.

To recall, the latter is capable of matching the level of performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and only trails behind by a few percent in most scenarios. Chinese smartphone maker Redmi launched its latest flagship phone, the Turbo 4, yesterday afternoon. The phone went on sale immediately following the launch, with a starting price of 1,999 yuan ($302). 

Now, according to official data from Redmi, first-day sales of the Turbo 4 were double those of the previous generation, with a 220% increase.

MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra Delivers Powerful Performance

The centerpiece of the Redmi Turbo 4 is its performance. The phone is the world’s first to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra processor, which is also the first in its class to adopt a full-big-core CPU architecture. As a result, the chip delivers an AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 1.8 million.

The revolutionary full-core architecture integrates an octa-core Arm Cortex-A725 CPU. This configuration includes one 3.25GHz Cortex-A725 large core, three 3.0GHz Cortex-A725 large cores, and four 2.1GHz A725 large cores.

Dimensity 8400’s performance revealed

A Xiaomi phone with model number 24129RT7CC was recently approved by China’s 3C certification platform. The same device, which appears to be the upcoming Redmi Turbo 4, has now popped up in Geekbench’s database.

The Dimensity 8400-powered device has managed to score 1642 points in the single-core test and 6056 points in the multi-core test. The single-core and multi-core scores are higher than the Redmi K70e, which debuted last year as the world’s first Dimensity 8300 phone. Though the Dimensity 8400 delivers excellent multi-core results, its single-core performance is somewhat underwhelming.

The Dimensity 8400 will rival the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip from the Qualcomm camp, which scores around 18XX in the single-core test and around 48XX in the multi-core test. In fact, the D8400 manages to slot itself between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in terms of multi-core performance.

The Geekbench listing of the Redmi Turbo 4 further reveals that the device will be equipped with 16 GB of RAM and Android 15. The OS is expected to have a layer of HyperOS 2.0 on top.
