Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Leak Suggests Two SoC Variants, Bumped Up RAM, & 120Hz Cover Screen

Samsung is expected to launch the sixth-generation Galaxy Z foldable phones. Both the Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 have already surfaced in leaked renders. Now a tipster has shared the core specifications of the next-generation clamshell offering from the South Korean brand. It reveals some interesting upgrades.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 leaked specs suggest massive upgrade

The tipster on X (former Twitter) who goes by username @kro_roe says that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be available in Snapdragon and Exynos processor options. If this indeed turns out to be true, it will be the first time the South Korean brand will launch its foldable phone in two variants just like the flagship S lineup. Of course, Samsung will use the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or the Exynos 2400 depending on the market region.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is rumoured to get a significant upgrade in the RAM department. Alongside the base 8GB RAM, it will also be offered in 12GB. This will again depend on the region. The device will continue to be available in 256GB and 512GB storage configurations.

The tipster reiterates a previous report that the Flip 6 will be backed by a larger 4,000mAh battery unit. He also goes on to add that Samsung is working on making the external display support 120Hz refresh rate which would be another huge upgrade in years on the clamshell foldable phone.

It’s worth noting that this is just a rumor which should be taken with a healthy grain of salt. We are still a few months away from the Galaxy Unpacked event which is expected to happen in early July this year.

The forum, hosted by the Chinese government and attended by Premier Li Qiang and over 80 foreign business executives, served as a platform for Cook to highlight Apple’s commitment to China amidst market challenges and global economic shifts.

Cook emphasized the pivotal role played by Chinese suppliers in Apple’s journey towards carbon neutrality, lauding their active participation and inventive approaches. He also underscored the criticality of China’s supply chain to Apple’s operations, recognizing the country’s advanced manufacturing capabilities and skilled workforce.

In line with efforts to diversify its geographic footprint, Apple announced plans to expand its research center in Shanghai and establish a new applied research lab in Shenzhen. These initiatives aim to enhance testing and research capabilities for key products while fostering partnerships with Chinese suppliers.

Despite challenges posed by economic downturns and strained Sino-American relations, Cook expressed optimism about Apple’s future in China. He acknowledged the necessity of maintaining a positive relationship with the Chinese Communist Party while navigating dependencies on Chinese manufacturing.

Cook’s remarks at the China Development Forum underscore Apple’s strategic balancing act between leveraging China’s manufacturing excellence and addressing the need for supply chain diversification. As Apple continues to navigate market complexities, its engagement with China reflects a commitment to long-term growth and innovation in one of the world’s largest economies.

Realme GT Neo 6 SE to feature whopping 6000-nit display, launch in April

Realme and BOE have launched a new display that will premiere on the upcoming GT Neo 6 SE. Unveiled at an event today, the display boasts a remarkable peak brightness of 6000 nits and improvements in other aspects of the panel such as brightness, eye protection, touch responsiveness, and more.

Realme and BOE debuts 6000 nits display

A standout feature of this display is its impressive local peak brightness of 6,000 nits, making it the brightest in the world. While that’s the peak, the display offers a global maximum brightness of 1,600 nits, and a manual maximum brightness of 1000 nits.

Realme GT Neo 6 SE 6000 nit display

The manual adjustment is particularly relevant to users as it is the one achieved by manually adjusting the screen brightness to its maximum level using the phone’s brightness slider.

The new display also supports a “game super HDR” feature that is said to offer a superior gaming experience with expanded dynamic ranges for stunning light and shadow effects.

While excelling in display capabilities, Realme hasn’t compromised on eye protection. The new display supports a new 3+1 Pulse low-frequency flicker, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and hardware-level low blue light capabilities. Additional features include adaptive display, sleep mode, and paper eye protection to reduce eye strain.

Furthermore, the display uses industry-leading 8T LTPO technology that offers smoother refresh rate transitions, reduced power consumption, and faster display response times. Realme says the panel’s refresh rate ranges from 0.5 to 120Hz.

Then there are some AI features on board as well. Realme has introduced what it calls a “Greenfield AI” eye protection function, which detects user fatigue and adjusts the display accordingly for various scenarios like system interfaces, media content, and e-books.

Additionally, there’s an AI game eye protection feature that will optimize the display during games for eye comfort.

The display also offers a 2500Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate for a responsive gaming experience, along with a “wonderful touch” function that customizes the touch experience for enhanced game control.

This new generation of display technology will debut on the Realme GT Neo6 SE, which is scheduled for an April launch. The company should announce more details about the smartphone pretty soon.

Leaked: Here’s your first look at the Realme GT Neo 6 SE design

Realme is gearing up to add a new device in the GT Neo lineup with the GT Neo 6 SE. While Realme has shared some details about the smartphone, there’s still more to come, including its design.

Last week, we caught a glimpse of its schematics through a leak. But we’re still waiting for the full renders. However, a leaked image on Weibo has now revealed the real-life image of the GT Neo 6 SE, along with a render.

Realme GT Neo 6 SE design

As you can see, there are three circular cutouts on the back likely housing three cameras and a flashlight. The camera module extends to the sides of the device, which is a departure from its predecessor, although the Neo 5 SE also featured a sizable camera island.

For a closer look at the design, you can check out the render below. However, it may not be entirely accurate, so it’s wise to take it with a grain of salt.

Realme has officially confirmed that the GT Neo 6 SE will be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. It’s Qualcomm’s latest mid-range SoC with performance levels comparable to the Snapdragon 8-series SoCs.

The silicon features a prime Cortex-X4 core clocked at 2.8 GHz, along with four performance cores (A720) at 2.6 GHz and three efficiency units (Cortex-A520) at 1.9 GHz. OnePlus Ace 3V is the first smartphone to launch with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3.

Additionally, the smartphone’s 3C certification suggests support for 100W charging.

Despite the leaks and confirmations, there’s still much left to uncover about the Realme GT Neo 6 SE. Realme hasn’t even confirmed the official release date yet, but the increasing frequency of leaks suggests a launch in China soon.

Now, a fresh report from SamMobile suggests that Samsung is making significant changes to its upcoming smartwatch lineup.

According to the report, Samsung is broadening its Galaxy Watch 7 offerings to include three models. The company has only launched two models in the Galaxy Watch line thus far, so this is an interesting shift in strategy.

Apple’s Steve Jobs’ Signed Business Card Fetches $181,183 in an Auction

A piece of Apple history has fetched a hefty price tag. A business card signed by Steve Jobs sold for a staggering $181,183 (roughly 1.312 million yuan) at RR Auctions on March 24th. This “ultra-rare, immaculate” card, estimated to be from around 1983, sold for a whopping 14 times the price of an unsigned Apple business card previously sold at the same auction house.

The card is one of the only five known certified Steve Jobs business cards

While not entirely flawless – the card shows some fading, a minor stain on the front, and faint tape marks on the back – its exceptional condition for a 40-year-old item is a key factor in its value. Signed memorabilia is even more desirable when its authenticity can be verified. This particular business card boasts certification from the prestigious Professional Sports Memorabilia Authentication Agency (PSA) with a coveted “Gem Mint Level 10” rating.

The card offers a glimpse into a key time for Apple. Signed during Jobs’ tenure as chairman of the board, it predates the launch of the iconic Macintosh computer. Apple’s main product at the time was the Apple Lisa, the world’s first commercial PC with a graphical user interface (GUI), even more advanced than the Macintosh but ultimately less commercially successful.

Steve Jobs

According to RR Auction House, this is one of only five known Steve Jobs business cards to have successfully passed PSA/DNA authentication. The signature itself is described as “neatly positioned and very clear.” It won’t be too long before another piece of Apple’s history shows up and sets a huge new record in the auction scene. Who knows? We’ll have to wait and watch.

The average energy consumption is merely 5 kilowatt-hours per kilometer

Unlike traditional trains that rely on fossil fuels or overhead electrical lines, this innovative train boasts a hydrogen energy propulsion system. This system offers a powerful and long-lasting power source, with test data indicating an average energy consumption of just 5 kilowatt-hours per kilometer. This figure meets all design requirements and positions the train at the forefront of energy efficiency on a global scale.

China Hydrogen-Powered Train

The train boasts an impressive driving range exceeding 1,000 kilometers, significantly reducing the need for refueling stops. Prior to the test run, the hydrogen power system underwent rigorous testing for durability, performance in extreme temperatures (ranging from -25°C to 35°C), vibration resistance, electromagnetic compatibility, and fire safety. This comprehensive testing ensures the safe and reliable operation of the train.

This successful trial operation signifies a major milestone for China’s rail transit industry, paving the way for wider adoption of hydrogen energy technology. It also contributes to achieving key technological independence and control in the development of high-end transportation equipment. Hopefully, the trend spreads to more countries where energy balance can be achieved in due time.

This router has already passed the FCC certification and the quick start guide has been leaked revealing information about the device ahead of its launch. With WiFi 7, this device supports 1376Mbps speed with 2.4Hz and 5765Mbps with 5GHz band.

This device also offers a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port that supports 4K QAM (1.2x speed increase as compared to predecessor) and MLO (Multi-Link Operation), a DCIN port, a WPS port, and a reset button.

This machine runs on a 2.6GHz quad-core processor, and equips 256GB flash memory and 2GB DDR4 memory. Notably, this device supports up to 34GB WAN/LAN bandwidth.

HKC launches Antgamer ANT253VF gaming monitor with 24.5-inch 360Hz Fast IPS panel

HKC has unveiled a new gaming monitor under its ANTGAMER lineup, the ANT253VF. The key feature of this monitor is its blazing-fast 360Hz refresh rate, designed to deliver an ultra-smooth gaming experience for competitive players. The monitor is now listed on JD.com in the Chinese market for a price of 2499 yuan (around $350). Let’s check out the key specs.

HKC ANTGAMER ANT253VF

HKC ANTGAMER ANT253VF Specifications:

The ANT253VF boasts a 24.5-inch Fast IPS panel with a 1920×1080 resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. The IPS panel technology ensures wide viewing angles and good color reproduction, while the 1ms GTG response time minimizes ghosting and blurring during fast-paced action.

The ANT253VF gaming monitor boasts a color gamut covering 99% of the sRGB spectrum, ensuring a wide range of accurately represented colors. With HDR 400 certification, it offers enhanced brightness and contrast, leading to more realistic and vivid images.

With a 360Hz refresh rate, the ANT253VF offers significantly smoother visuals compared to traditional 60Hz or even 144Hz monitors. This can give gamers a competitive edge by allowing them to react to in-game events more quickly and accurately.

The ANT253VF is compatible with AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync variable refresh rate technologies for additional smoothness. These technologies eliminate screen tearing and stuttering that can occur when the monitor’s refresh rate is not synchronized with the graphics card’s frame rate.

HKC ANTGAMER ANT253VF

The gaming monitor features versatile connectivity options, including two HDMI 2.0 ports for up to 240Hz gameplay and one DisplayPort 1.4 port that supports the full 360Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it features a 3.5mm audio jack, allowing gamers to connect headphones or speakers directly to the monitor for an immersive audio experience.

The ANT253VF is equipped with a variety of features that cater to gamers. It has a built-in aiming crosshair and dark field brightening mode, which can be helpful in first-person shooter games. The monitor also offers multiple scene modes that allow gamers to customize the display settings for different game genres.

The ergonomic stand of the ANT253VF allows for height adjustment, and swivel, tilt, and pivot functionality, ensuring a comfortable viewing position during long gaming sessions. Earlier this week, HKC also launched another gaming monitor with very similar specs.
