Galaxy S23 FE is likely launching early in October and Samsung has already started teasing the device. Reports suggest the handset will launch on October 4 alongside other FE-branded products, such as the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and the Galaxy Buds FE. Ahead of the official release, the Galaxy S23 FE has now leaked in new promo videos, which tease the phone’s display and camera.

Galaxy S23 FE is the “New Epic”

The leaked videos are likely to be used in the marketing of the Galaxy S23 FE. You should soon be seeing them on various platforms officially. Titled the New Epic, the videos suggest the phone is launching soon. However, the official date is yet to be revealed.

As per previous reports, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 processor depending on the market. It is likely to be fueled by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W charging. The device is also said to bring wireless charging.

Rumors suggest that the upcoming smartphone’s camera setup will comprise a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle unit. The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE could arrive in 128GB and 256GB storage options.

According to a recent report, the starting price of the Galaxy S23 FE in the US is $599. While the report didn’t mention the storage configuration, this price is likely for the rumored 8GB RAM + 128GB storage trim. For comparison, the unlocked Galaxy S21 FE costs the same in the US, while the Pixel 7a starts at $499, and the Galaxy A54 at $450.

The most premium model offers many flagship-level features. This is a far cry from what the series used to stand for.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is more of an affordable premium smartphone despite carrying a mid-range price tag (~$275). Let’s check out what makes it this way.

1. Simple yet attractive design

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus sports a curved display on the front and a curved panel on the back. Depending on the color you opt for, the rear panel is either glass or vegan leather.

The glass variants come in classy black and white colors. While the vegan leather version has a four-tone finish.

All three rear cameras sit inside islands of their own. The horizontal LED flashlight and the Redmi branding below it are located on the right side of the cameras.

These three elements are separated by lines. Xiaomi uses similar lines to separate individual cameras on the Xiaomi 13 series and Xiaomi 12 series.

Further, the front of the device is equipped with a curved display. This screen has a centered punch-hole and minimal bezels all around.

The power and volume keys are present on the right side. Whereas, the USB Type-C port and SIM card slot are at the bottom. There’s no headphone jack (first on a Redmi Note device) but you get an IR blaster at the top.

2. Impressive display

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is the first Redmi Note series phone to arrive with a curved display. It sports a 6.67-inch OLED panel featuring C7 luminescent material.

The 12-bit screen offers a 1.5K resolution (2712 x 1220 pixels), which is a first for a Redmi Note series handset. The display has 446 PPI, 120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz instant touch sampling rate, and even 1920Hz PWM dimming for eye protection.

The screen can over 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. It can play both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision content. The typical and peak brightness levels are rated at 1200 and 1800 nits, respectively.

Finally, the display even has a fingerprint sensor underneath it, which is again a first for a Redmi Note device. This sensor can be even used to measure heart rate.

3. Miscellaneous premium features

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is the first-ever Redmi Note to have an IP68 rating. Thus, the product is dust and water-resistant. It can theoretically last under 1.5 meters of fresh water for 30 minutes.

Further, it flaunts a customized version of the 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 camera sensor. This 1/1.4″ sensor supports OIS and is paired with an ALD anti-glare coated lens.

Lastly, apart from Xiaomi’s proprietary 120W charging standard, the handset also supports USB PD 3.0 and 2.0. It even ships with a GaN charger along with a double-sided USB Type-C cable.

The TWS earphones are said to pack an active noise cancellation of 48 db. The upcoming offering is tipped to come with support for Bluetooth 5.3, Google Fast Pair, and dual connectivity.

The OnePlus Buds 3 are powered by a 520mAh battery unit with each earbud backed by a 58mAh cell. The TWS earphones are said to offer 6 and 9 hours of usage with ANC enabled and disabled. With the charging case, the total battery life is claimed to be 33 hours.

Smartphone explosion injures 3 in India, shatters windows of cars parked outside

A smartphone and a can of deodorant led to an explosion that injured a couple of people inside and even managed to break the windows of cars that were parked outside. The incident took place in India, so here’s what went wrong.

Unknown Smartphone explodes in Nashik

The explosion occurred in a house that was situated in Nashik, Maharashtra. Usually, when such a device explodes, the damage is restricted to the immediate area or the person carrying it. However, the blast inside a home in Nashik had a much wider impact. According to an NDTV report, the mobile phone exploded inside a house in Nashik, which ended up injuring three people inside the residence.

The individuals suffered from a couple of serious injuries, which are currently being treated at a hospital. As of right now, the exact model of this handset is still unclear. Furthermore, the smartphone alone wasn’t the cause of such a large explosion. Apparently, a can of deodorant was in close proximity to the device. For those unaware, deodorant is a highly flammable product, with any small contact or even spark potentially leading to an explosion. Thus, the blast blew out the window near the smartphone which was being charged and even damaged the windows out side the house as well.

The cars that were parked around the house were also affected by the blast, with some of the cars having all of their window panels shattered. The image shared in the report reveals that the metal railings and furniture in the house were also burnt. But thankfully, there were no casualties caused by this explosion. The exact reason for the blast is still unclear at the moment, so stick around for more updates. The OnePlus Pad Go launch is right around the corner. But prior to the official release, the company shared a new teaser for this upcoming tablet. This teaser shares a feature that will be making its way to the Pad Go model, which will make it eye-friendly for the user.

The Chinese smartphone maker shared the teaser via their official X handle (formerly Twitter). Looking at the image poster, OnePlus has confirmed that the Pad Go will feature TUV Rheinland certification, which basically means that it supports low blue light technology. Lower blue light enables better protection of the users’ eyes. Based on what we know so far, the OnePlus Pad Go sports a tall 11.35-inch display, which features a 2.4K resolution and an aspect ratio of 7:5.

Furthermore, the new tablet will be equipped with a quad speaker setup, which features Dolby Atmos support. The pricing of the OnePlys Pad Go is set to be announced on 6th October 2023. The Go also reveals that the new tablet is likely a more affordable tablet compared to the OnePlus Pad model. Earlier this week, a leak revealed that the Pad Go might be powered by a massive 8,000mAh battery pack. Under the hood, the device is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC.

This chipset could be paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Other notable features include an 8-megapixel camera on the rear, an 8-megapixel selfie shooter, and Android 13 OS based OyxgenOS 13.2 custom skin out of the box.

Meta and Ray-Ban partnered to launch their first smart glasses in 2021, called Stories. The name was a bit strange, but both companies seem to have moved on. Meta has now announced its second-generation smart glasses, called the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses. Meta says they designed the glasses from the “ground up”, improving all the core features of the first generation and adding new capabilities never seen before on smart glasses. Let’s walk through the features.

Ray-Ban Meta “Smart Glasses” Specifications

The most notable new feature of the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses is the ability to livestream video directly to Instagram and Facebook. This is a first for smart glasses, and I can see it being useful for content creators and social media users alike.

The smart glasses feature a 12MP ultra-wide camera for this purpose, which is capable of recording 1080p videos up to 60 seconds. The glasses will also let passersby know that they are being recorded with a white courtesy light on the outside.

They can store about 500 photos and 100 30-second videos before you fill up the 32GB of internal storage. Everything you record or shoot syncs through the Meta View app, which lets you share your captured moments with other apps.

The glasses are powered by a Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 processor and are IPX4 water-resistant, meaning they can handle light water splashes.

Meta has also improved the audio on the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses. The new smart glasses are 50% louder than the first generation, and they offer better clarity and deeper bass. Meta has also added directional audio to the new smart glasses, which reduces audio leakage and provides a more immersive listening experience.

The Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses come in a classic Wayfarer design, and they’re available in new colors as well as a transparent option. As with Ray-Ban Stories, you can choose from a variety of lens options as well, such as sun, polarized, clear, transitions, and prescription. There are more than 150 variations in total.

The case, which doubles as a charger, has also been downsized and made lighter. It’s 32% lighter and can charge the headset up to eight times for a total of 36 hours of battery life. After that, the case needs to be recharged via USB-C.

Price and Availability

The Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses are available for pre-order now at Meta.com, Ray-Ban.com, and select retailers. They will go on sale on October 17 in a number of countries including US Canada, Australia, and throughout Europe.

The new smartphone was spotted on FCC certification, revealing its full design. The Lava Z4 Plus features a waterdrop notch on the front, while the rear features a triple camera setup. Furthermore, we can see that the device also houses a speaker grille, a micro USB port, a microphone, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The triple rear camera setup was also spotted alongside the LED flash at the back.

The power buttons and volume rockers are situated on the side, while the left side has the SIM card slot. As per the certification, the power button doubles as a fingerprint scanner and a microSD card slot will also be supported. The online listing also showcases that the upcoming Lava Z4 Plus will power a 4,000mAh battery pack, which supports 7.5W charging. Since the smartphone surfaced on the FCC platform, the device will likely launch soon.

Based on some of these specs, the Z4 Plus appears to be an entry-level smartphone. Unfortunately, the finer details regarding this matter are still unclear as we still have no information regarding the smartphone. So stick around for more updates regarding this matter.

HP Joins Hands With Google To Make Chromebooks In India Starting Next Month

Last month, the government of India restricted the import of laptops, tablets, and related items to boost local manufacturing in the country. It is a part of the government’s ‘Make In India’ initiative and bolster the electronics sector through PLI schemes. However, this move by the government is now reportedly delayed as per a new development. Now, HP has joined hands with Google to manufacture Chromebooks in the country.

HP partners with Google to make Chromebooks in India

HP commenced its PC manufacturing in India back in 2020 at the Felix facility in Chennai. It also started making laptops including the Elitebooks, ProBooks, and G8 series in December 2021. The same factory is set to start making Chromebooks from October 2. HP stated that manufacturing Chromebooks in India will cater to the demand for affordable PCs in the country, mainly in the education sector. The company continues to support the government’s ‘Make In India’ initiative.

Recently ASUS had also announced that it will make laptops at the same contract manufacturer’s facility as HP in Chennai. Additionally, a report also revealed that South Korean brand Samsung is also joining India’s laptop-making push at its Noida facility with an annual production capacity of 60,000 – 70,000 units. Two people familiar with the matter revealed that the company is expected to start making laptops in the country from next month.

A past report also revealed that at least 32 global electronic companies including Dell, Lenovo, and more have applied to India’s incentive program to make laptops in the country.

However, these “familiar faces are representing the characters, not themselves.” Even the media content on these profiles is created by AI and is managed by Meta. Such posts or image media will be tagged with #ImaginedWithAI text and a watermark on the lower left side of the image.

The Oppo Find N3 Flip was recently unveiled in the Chinese market. But while the device was launched in the brand’s home market, the global release was still unclear. But a leak has hinted that the overseas launch might be just around the corner.

Oppo Find N3 Flip Global Model Leaked

The fresh leak arrived from sources close to the matter, who shared the information with 91Mobiles. In the latest report, the new foldable smartphone was spotted in a live image. But the device isn’t the main focus of this leak, rather, the contents on the cover display are the primary focus. A silver Find N3 Flip model (which isn’t available in China) can be seen with global apps on the secondary screen. The smaller external panel can be seen with WhatsApp, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube Music, GPay, and much more.

This hints that the Find N3 Flip will be arriving in the global market soon, which includes the Indian market. Apart from the image, the 91Mobiles report also shares a complete list of apps that are compatible with the cover display of the smartphone. Looking at the list, we can see that the foldable phone will support Netflix, LinkedIn, YouTube Music, as well as popular Indian apps like Zomato, Swiggy, Zerodha, Wynk Music, JioSaavn, BookMyShow, and mAadhar. In other words, the Oppo Find N3 Flip may launch in India soon.

Talking about the device itself, the Oppo Find N3 Flip sports a tall 6.8-inch AMOLED display that has a Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the secondary panel features a 3.26-inch AMOLED external display. Xiaomi continues to expand its product line. Almost every week, the company introduces several new models, offering a broad product range that caters to nearly every user. However, no matter what the Chinese tech giant unveils lately, the tech enthusiasts are primarily focused on one model: the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Pro.

Although there have been numerous leaks about the phone expected to be released by the end of the year, there wasn’t much definitive information. Thankfully, this changed when the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro case reached the hands of the Gizmochina team. Here’s everything known about the design of the upcoming flagship…

Xiaomi 14 Pro Case Leak Reveals New Design Details

As you may know, the leaking of smartphone cases before their release has become a tradition. The main reason for this is that dummy models of the devices are sent to manufacturers long before they are introduced. This way, by the time of release, users worldwide can purchase their desired cases to protect their phones. Most recently, the case for the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro was obtained by the Gizmochina team.

When we first look at the case, we notice that the design language of the Xiaomi 14 series seems very similar to the 13 series. As always, there will be a full screen on the front. The back design, which has seen changes in recent years, will have a camera module in the top left corner. Additionally, we see four camera holes in the case. Last year’s model only had three cameras. This year, the number could increase to four, or that space might be left empty for the Leica logo again.

Moreover, that’s not the only change on the camera side. The island that houses the modules takes up a larger area and is likely to be a bit thicker. Based on this, we can say that we can expect significant changes in camera performance. Aside from that, the size of the Xiaomi 14 Pro seems to be a bit smaller than the 13 Pro. Also, judging by the case, we can say that the series is likely to have a flat and sharper design.

Unfortunately, not everything about the Xiaomi 14 series is positive, and the two models differ significantly in one aspect. Based on the cases, we can say that the Xiaomi 14 Pro has dual speakers on the frame, while the 14 standard might use the calling speaker in conjunction with a bottom speaker to achieve stereo sound. Of course, this is better than having a true single speaker. However, it’s possible to say that this is a downgrade compared to the dual speakers in previous models. Sadly, that’s all we know for now, and we have no choice but to wait for more information.
