Xiaomi 14 Pro is one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year, and for good reason. It is rumored to have impressive specs, including a high-resolution display, a stylish design, and a larger camera sensor. Speaking of the camera, tipster Digital Chat Station has shared the camera specs of the Xiaomi 14 Pro.

According to the latest rumors, the Xiaomi 14 Pro will feature a 50-megapixel 1/1.28” main camera sensor with a variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0.

Variable aperture is currently only available on Xiaomi’s top-of-the-line flagship, the 13 Ultra. However, it looks like the company is making it available to even the Pro version in the 14 series. This feature will allow the smartphone camera to take in a lot of light, even in low-light situations.

As for camera hardware, DCS tipped that the Xiaomi 14 Pro will have three 50-megapixel rear cameras, with the main camera featuring a massive 1-inch Sony IMX9xx series sensor. One of the other cameras is expected to be a telemacro camera.

The tipster also revealed that the phone will have a 2K display with ultra-thin bezels and a new base material that will help to protect your eyes. Additionally, the device is expected to have a high-density 4860mAh battery and a large X-axis motor for haptics

About other things, previous reports have claimed that the device will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. And it will have a titanium alloy frame and offer support for satellite connectivity. The device is expected to launch sometime in November.

Huawei launched a bunch of devices today in China. The company has also expanded its range of routers with a new offering. It is dubbed the Huawei Router BE3 Pro. The latest offering is touted to be the first Wi-Fi7 router from the brand. It is also claimed to offer blazing-fast internet speeds. Let’s take a look at the device in detail.

Huawei Router BE3 Pro specifications and features

The Huawei Router BE3 Pro has a slim rectangular design with four antennas. Dimension-wise, it measures 225 x 177.9 x 59.5mm when the antennas are folded, The device has an LED light.

The Huawei Router BE3 Pro is equipped with a 4K QAM modulation method that compresses data density and transmitting a larger amount of data at the same time. The quad-core WiFi-7 technology is claimed to offer speeds up to 3600 Mbps making it easy to download massive files, play large games, and more. The router also supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-frequency bands for increasing the network speed and reducing latency.

The Huawei Router BE3 Pro also features four performance signal amplifiers that improve signal strength and sensitivity. This enables to easily penetrate walls and deliver better coverage. The device features a dedicated e-sports gigabit network port that prioritizes the transmission of gaming data and delivers fast and stable gaming performance. There is also a 2500 Mbit high-speed network port. Huawei’s proprietary game turbo engine intelligently identifies popular games for a full steaming speed. In the camera department, the smartphone offers a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro lens. While a 13MP sensor is present on the front for selfies.

Both have the same 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. The Galaxy A05s is slated to receive updates for the next few years and it even houses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Huawei held a mega event in China today. The brand announced a host of products including a smartphone, tablet, smartwatch, and IoT devices. The company had announced the Watch GT 4 in the global markets earlier this month. Now, the same has made its way to the home market. The Huawei Watch GT 4 arrives as the successor to the Watch GT 3. It is offered in two models with slight differences. Read on to know more below.

Huawei Watch GT 4 specifications and features

The Huawei Watch GT 4 is offered in 41mm and 46mm sizes. The former has a circular dial whereas the latter has an octagonal-shaped casing. Both feature a stainless steel build along with a functioning rotating crown and a physical button on the right side. The 41mm and 46mm models have 1.32 and 1.42-inch AMOLED displays respectively. Both bear a 466 x 466-pixel resolution and 322 PPI pixel density. The smartwatches pack always-on display mode and customizable watch faces.

In terms of health and fitness, the Huawei Watch GT 4 duo are equipped with a heart-rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, sleep and stress tracker, and menstrual cycle monitor. There is also a temperature sensor onboard. The PPG sensor is also capable of tracking atrial fibrillation and provide premature beats reminders. The wearable devices also pack fat-reducing and shaping app that intelligently integrates monitoring technology to accurately calculate daily calorie consumption, exercise calorie consumption, resting calorie consumption, and more. The Watch GT 4 comes with support for more than 100 sports modes. The 46mm variant features a new smart-star-oriented antenna for improved positioning accuracy.

The Huawei Watch GT 4 comes with a built-in microphone and speaker for Bluetooth calling directly through the wrist. It packs a WeChat app along with support for other applications. The smartwatches support NFC for making payments as well as unlocking the car door. The 41mm variant is claimed to offer a 7-day battery life whereas the 46mm model is rated to last 14 days on a single charge.

Earlier today, Huawei launched its new ultra-premium branding called Ultimate Design. And now, the brand has unveiled the first smartphone in this new lineup called the Huawei Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design. Details about the new smartphone can be found below.

Design & Display

Design-wise, the Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design draws inspiration from last year’s Mate 50 RS Porsche Design. It has the same aggressive yet elegant aesthetics featuring an octagonal camera module in the tip center. The body of the smartphone itself is made of ceramic, and the frame is aluminum. It is available in two color options: Red and Black.

Up-front, the device features a 6.82-inch flat OLED LTPO display with three punch holes in the top center for the front camera setup. The display features a resolution of 2720 x 1260 pixels and offers an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. It also has 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming onboard along with a 300Hz touch sampling rate. The screen is capable of producing 1.07 billion rich colors as it covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

Camera

The Huawei Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design features a similar camera setup to the Mate 60 Pro+. It has three high-performance lenses on the back including a 48-megapixel primary camera with an adjustable aperture ranging from F1.4 to F4.0. The main sensor features optical image stabilization (OIS) for steady shots. Accompanying it is a 40-megapixel ultra-wide camera with an F2.2 aperture. Additionally, there’s a 48-megapixel ultra-macro telephoto camera boasting an F3.0 aperture, also with OIS, and the added convenience of autofocus. It offers 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom capabilities.

The front-facing camera setup consists of a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an F2.4 aperture and a 3D depth camera for advanced facial recognition capabilities. The camera system allows for up to 4K (3840 x 2160) video recording for both the rear and front cameras, all while benefiting from AIS anti-shake technology to ensure your videos remain steady.

The camera system also comes with a plethora of features including intelligent variable aperture, a 10-stop adjustable physical aperture, super night scene mode, super macro and macro video options, vivid video HDR, and the ability to shoot macro and telephoto pictures simultaneously. The camera also excels in time-lapse photography, slow motion, panorama shots, and much more. For the front camera it features Video HDR Vivid mode, smart wide-angle switching, night scene capture, portrait mode, and a range of creative filters.

Performance & other specs

Under the hood, this smartphone runs on the in-house Kirin 9000s chipset paired with the Hongmeng OS 4.0, ensuring a seamless user experience. It packs a powerful punch with 16GB of RAM, meaning you won’t have to close your recent apps often. Storage options include generous 512GB or 1TB of internal memory, with the possibility of expansion by up to 256GB using an NM memory card.

This flagship device houses a robust 5000mAh battery, paired with up to 88W fast charging, 50W fast wireless charging, and 20W reverse wireless charging. The device is loaded with a comprehensive set of sensors, including 3D face recognition, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, compass, NFC, and more. The phone supports Tiantong satellite calls and Beidou satellite messages.

The biggest difference between the two projectors is their brightness: 600CVIA lumens for the higher-end model and 550CVIA lumens for the lower-end model. Huawei releases 98-inch Smart Screen V5 Pro with Super MiniLED display

At its fall event today, Huawei launched a host of new products, including its first gold-clad smartwatch, the Huawei Watch Ultimate Gold Edition. There the company also announced its new flagship smart TV, the Huawei Smart Screen V5 Pro. The TV is packed with features, but as the company’s flagship model, it doesn’t come cheap. Let’s take a closer look at the details.

Huawei Smart Screen V5 Pro Specifications

The Smart Screen V5 Pro comes in two massive screen sizes: 98 inches and 85 inches. Both models have a Super MiniLED display with a 95% DCI-P3 color gamut, 1.07 billion colors, and a 99% screen-to-body ratio.

However, the 98-inch version has a peak brightness of 2000 nits, while the 85-inch version has a peak brightness of 1600 nits. The Smart Screen V5 Pro also supports Honghu image quality upscaling, which can convert 1080P image quality into 4K in seconds.

At the core, both TVs are powered by the Honghu 900 chip. As per Huawei, the silicon offers a 200% improvement in CPU performance, a 160% improvement in GPU performance, and a 212% improvement in NPU performance over the previous Honghu 818 chip. The TV also has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and it supports the latest connectivity interfaces like HDMI 2.1 and USB 3.0.

As for the software, it runs the HarmonyOS 4 system, which supports features such as a photo wall, landscape window, smart sensing, child care, family connection, and super screen projection.

Apart from the TV’s display capabilities, one of the most interesting things about the Smart Screen V5 Pro is the new Huawei Lingxi Pointing Remote Control, which Huawei claims is the world’s first absolute pointing interaction remote.

It lets you can slide your finger on the remote buttons to scroll or click on the content displayed on TV, without having to press the actual buttons. Moreover, you can also use the air touch feature to play your mobile games on the TV.

In terms of audio, the TV has a Huawei Sound smart speakers system that offers a 3.1.2-channel sound system with 30W double bass and two 10W sky channels. It can also be paired with a HUAWEI Sound X speaker to create a 5.1.2-channel home theater system.

Price and Availability

The Huawei Smart Screen V5 Pro is priced at 24,999 yuan for the 85-inch version and 36,999 yuan for the 98-inch version. Pre-sales will start on September 25th at 18:08, and sales will begin on September 28th at 10:08 in China.

Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2″ Design & Display

The Chinese tech giant’s latest tablet model features a tall 13.2-inch display. Yu Chengdong, Huawei’s Consumer Chief, stated that the MatePad Pro 13.2″ is the world’s first tablet to sport a flexible OLED panel. This screen features a resolution of 2880 x 1920 pixels with a wide P3 color gamut, a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, a peak brightness of 1000 nits, a 3:2 aspect ratio, a 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and Rheinland Global Eye Protection 3.0 certification.

The tablet adopts an edge-to-edge screen design from the front, while the rear features a sleek design and a circular camera module. Notably, it also features the highest screen-to-body ratio in the industry (94 percent). The front also has minimal bezels on the side, a notch on the top, and a thin design. The MatePad Pro 13.2″ weighs just 580 grams and measures an impressive 5.5mm in thickness. Huawei claims that it is the world’s thinnest and lightest tablet for its large size.

For audio, the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 is equipped with 6 dual-channel speakers (dual high frequency and 4 low frequency), supports spatial audio, and Huawei Sound certification. The front houses a 16-megapixel and a ToF sensor, while the rear features a 13-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual camera setup. Other notable features include Bluetooth 5.2, AAC, and LDAC codecs. The device runs on HarmonyOS 4 out of the box and also arrives with the company’s third-gen M-Pen stylus.

This pen uses StarLight technology with over 10,000 levels of pressure and its latency can hit as low as 0ms. As per the official notes, the M-Pen stylus is fast and can offer an improved writing and drawing experience than its predecessor. The stylus was compared to the Apple Pen, with Huawei claiming that the accuracy is 20 percent higher than the 2nd gen Apple Pen. Paired with the tall display, creative users can expect a smooth experience with the new stylus.

Huawei has announced that its new Mate 60 series smartphones now support StarLight a.k.a NearLink connection. It is a new generation of short-range wireless communication that is faster, more reliable, and more energy-efficient than traditional technologies such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

However, for now, only Mate 60 series devices support StarLight connection. Huawei says this technology requires a specific hardware component to work in smartphones, meaning older devices will not be able to support Starlight even if they are updated to the latest Harmony OS 4.0.

Huawei has clarified that the StarLight feature currently only supports search and does not support discovery by other StarLight phones. This means that the StarLight settings interface on Huawei Mate 60 series phones can search for StarLight accessories, but cannot search for other StarLight phones.

So to make use of this, you might want to get your hands-on on the new Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 which are world’s first headset to adopt a Starlight core connection. This allows the FreeBuds Pro 3 to achieve lossless transmission at 1.5Mbps when paired with a Huawei Mate 60 series phone.

Huawei has launched its first gold-clad smartwatch aka. Huawei Watch Ultimate Gold Edition at Huawei Mate 60 launch event in China. The highly expensive watch with the requisite design is here to attract elites. Every nook-and-corner of the watch is highly perfected with extraordinary craftsmanship. It is already official in Europe, and today it marks its debut in China. The new Huawei Watch Ultimate with 18K Gold design is one of the most expensive smart watches and is priced at 2,999 Euros which roughly converts to 23,392 Yuan and ~$3,191.

The bezel features six sections purely crafted of about 18K gold metal. Other parts such as the crown, PVD strap, and butterfly buckle use Gold metal, while the strap is made of titanium. Vivo is getting ready to launch the V29 series smartphones in India on October 4. The series is expected to debut with a vanilla and a Pro model whose specs have already been leaked extensively. That being said, tipster Mukul Sharma has now leaked some hands-on images of these smartphones.

Earlier, Vivo confirmed that the V29 series will feature two interesting colors: a color-changing back design with Majestic Red and a 3D Particle back design with Himalayan Blue. Mukul has revealed that the Majestic Red variant changes its color to a dark blue/almost purple-like shade under direct sunlight.

As for the Himalayan Blue model, the 3D Particles on its back sparkle under light. This variant does not change its color.

Vivo V29 series specs

Leaked specifications and features of the Vivo V29 series include a 50-megapixel front-facing camera with a 93-degree field-of-view and eye-autofocus support, accompanied by an Aura Light LED flash with color temperature adjustments. An India-exclusive Wedding mode photography feature is also in the mix. The rear camera setup for the Vivo V29 Pro comprises a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support (Sony IMX766) and a 12-megapixel portrait camera (Sony IMX663) with 2x optical zoom capabilities.
