Covering technology around the clock, we come across products that make us say “Wow” and others that make us wonder “Why?” This new laptop from China-based Metaphyuni Computers is a combination of both. The Intel-powered notebook integrates wireless earbuds into its touchpad. However, the machine still seems to be under testing and is expected to go on sale in October.
During the Intel 2023 Technology Sharing Conference today, China’s Metaphyuni Computers showcased its new laptop with a rather innovative design (Via ITHome). Called the Metaphyuni Creative Business Book, the laptop has a touchpad that doubles as a charging dock for the earbuds. The earbuds themselves are hidden inside the left and right buttons of the touchpad and can be pulled out when needed.
ITHome reports the laptop allows users to remove Bluetooth earbuds by pressing the center of the two touchpad buttons. This does not interfere with the normal use of the left and right buttons. The unique design is convenient for online meetings, watching videos, and other situations. It can save you the hassle of having to carry your earbuds with you all the time.
The business notebook is still under development, but it is expected to be released in October. We believe that it will only be available in China initially, as Metaphyuni Computers has not yet released any products in the global market. Other details about the laptop, such as its price, are still unknown. For now, you can just be happy knowing that such a device exists. And if it ever makes it to your country, let us know if you would be interested in buying it.

Microsoft long ago lost faith in journalists, replacing them with AI for its News and MSN platforms. But AI-generated content remains flawed, and companies apparently aren’t learning their lesson. The latest AI blunder to come to light is an article posted on MSN that recommends tourists visit the Ottawa Food Bank, and even provides an awful tip: “Consider going in on an empty stomach.”
The article titled “Headed to Ottawa? Here’s what you shouldn’t miss!” was published last week, but Microsoft has since taken it down. However, it can still be found on the Internet archive. The food bank was the No. 3 recommendation on the list, sitting behind the National War Memorial and ahead of going to an Ottawa Senators hockey game.
The AI-generated article had a brief text description of what you can expect from the destination. Regarding the food bank, Microsoft’s summary included an insensitive statement that appears to have been published without being approved by a human editor. The statement reads, “People who come to us have jobs and families to support, as well as expenses to pay. Life is already challenging enough. Consider facing it on an empty stomach.”
A journalist with even a little experience would know that a food bank is not a tourist destination, and that it is insensitive to suggest that tourists visit the food bank on an empty stomach. It is there to help people in need, and is not a place for tourists to take pictures or gawk at.
AI-generated content is becoming increasingly common. Publications like Gizmodo and CNET have already started to publish AI-generated articles on their websites but they are nowhere close to being as well-written as human-written articles. Heck, Gizmodo’s first AI-generated article failed to even correctly list the Star Wars movies in chronological order (Via The Verge).
Since it all depends on you, the readers, we ask: Would you prefer to read a thoroughly researched, human-written article or an AI-generated amalgamation of unrelated information?

Google had been working on a project to bring new Chromebooks with built-in NVIDIA graphics cards to market. However, new reports say that the project has been called off, dashing hopes for a true gaming Chromebook. A comment on the Chromium Gerrit commit has revealed that multiple Nvidia Chromebook projects have been canceled.
Google’s gaming Chromebook dream is over
The commit, which was shared by About Chromebooks, stated that the “Herobrine, Hades, and Agah” boards have all been “canceled”. As per 9to5Google, the Hades board was to be the basis for the RTX 4050 Chromebooks, while the Agah board was used for development testing only and featured RTX 3050 graphics.
This means, Google canceled the development of three Chromebook boards that were designed to support Nvidia GPUs. This is disappointing news for those who were hoping for more powerful gaming Chromebooks.
That said, it’s possible that the company may still release future Chromebooks with dedicated GPUs. A newer code change has revealed the existence of a board codenamed “Aurora.” This board is believed to be for internal Steam testing purposes and not a real device, but it is specifically marked as having an RTX 3050 graphics card. Therefore, work might still be ongoing to make Steam on ChromeOS compatible with dedicated GPUs.
Besides the cancellation of the Nvidia-powered Chromebook boards, Google has also canceled the development of Chromebooks powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c+ Gen 3. This means that there will be no new ChromeOS tablets in the near future.
In the grand scheme of things, it appears that we’ll probably have to rely on integrated graphics for managing our gaming requirements on Chromebooks. However, if you’re aiming to enjoy an intensive game on a Chromebook, you might want to explore options cloud gaming options like NVIDIA GeForce Now for the time being.

Yesterday leaked images of the USB-C port on the iPhone 15 series surfaced revealing support for Thunderbolt. The next-generation flagship offerings from Apple are widely anticipated to come with a USB-C port to comply with the EU norms. The Cupertino-based tech giant has been significantly lagging behind its Android rivals in adopting fast charging speeds for its iPhones. Now, this is expected to change if a report from 9to5Mac indeed turns out to be true.
iPhone 15 series may get bumped up fast charging speeds
The folks at 9to5Mac citing industry sources reveal that the iPhone 15 series will come with faster charging speeds up to 35W. This would be a much-needed welcome upgrade since the non-Pro models have painfully 20W wired charging speed whereas it maxes out at 27W on the Pro variants. The upgraded charging speed could reduce the charging time as it currently takes approx two hours to fully top up the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The publication adds that one thing remains unclear whether Apple will introduce 35W charging speed on all four iPhone 15 models or if it will only be limited to Pro variants. Considering Apple’s track record at distinguishing the non-Pro from Pro, the second option largely seems like a possibility.
Previously, it was tipped that the Apple iPhone 15 series could feature stacked battery technology. This coupled with the rumored support for Thunderbolt may offer faster charging speeds for the upcoming flagships. Additionally, Apple also sells a 35W dual USB-C charger introduced last year as well as a 30W USB-C charger for the MacBook Air. Both support iPhones at the maximum speed.
Earlier in March this year, noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had said that the iPhone 15 may support fast charging speeds via USB-C but only with certified cables.
Huawei is getting ready to release the Mate 60 in China. It’s expected to launch before October 1st, which is National Day. We previously shared leaked pictures of what could be the new Huawei Mate 60. This is the next flagship phone after the Mate 50 series, which launched in September 2022. As we get closer to the launch date, more leaks are coming out online, thanks to a well-known tipster 定焦数码 (Fixed Focus Digital).
As per the post, testing of the Mate 60 prototype is scheduled to start in the upcoming week. This indicates the completion of the development phase. The company will now distribute the prototype to different internal teams for testing its performance and durability. It’s important to mention that the prototype is primarily focused on performance and doesn’t showcase the final appearance of the smartphone. Changes to the rear material are likely as the launch date approaches. The rumored key specs of the device are provided below.
Huawei Mate 60 key specs
The smartphone is expected to feature a “Spirit Island” design, which is a pill-shaped front camera cutout quite similar to the iPhone 14 Pro. It will come with a 6.7-inch OLED panel with 1.5k resolution, rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The device is said to be equipped with a triple rear camera setup, with 50MP as the main camera, 12MP as the periscope telephoto lens, and a 13MP ultrawide sensor.
In addition, Huawei recently rolled out HarmonyOS 4.0, its latest operating system which is in closed beta. Before the official release, eligible phones and tablets can try out HarmonyOS 4 for beta testing in China. This means that the Mate 60 will likely launch with HarmonyOS 4 pre-installed.
Samsung introduced the 200MP camera on its Galaxy lineup with the S23 Ultra. While the company has yet to democratize this sensor across its lineup, reports suggest that Samsung is planning to go even further in 2024 with three new sensors, including a new 440MP camera.
Samsung is working on a 440MP camera sensor
According to tipster Revegnus, Samsung is mass-producing a new 50MP GN6 sensor with a 1.6μm pixel size, and a 200MP HP7 sensor with a 0.6μm pixel size. But the most interesting of the bunch is the 440MP HU1 sensor, but its pixel size isn’t confirmed yet.
Samsung ISOCELL sensors being mass-produced in the latter half of 2024.
– 200MP with 0.6μm HP7 – 50MP with 1.6μm GN6 – 440MP with ??μm HU1
All three sensors are expected to go into mass production in the second half of 2024. But Revegnus says it’s unlikely that these sensors will be used in Samsung products.
The new 50MP ISOCELL GN6 could be a successor to the ISOCELL GN1 and ISOCELL GN2 camera sensors, with a large 1.6μm pixel size. This would be an upgrade over the ISOCELL GN2’s 1.4μm pixel size, and if true, the ISOCELL GN6 could be Samsung’s largest and first 1-inch type camera sensor to rival Sony’s IMX989 sensor. It would be a perfect fit for flagship smartphones. However, the tipster says it is unlikely that the GN6 sensor will be used in Samsung phones. Instead, it is more likely to be used by Chinese manufacturers.
Interestingly, there's a 320MP sensor between the 200MP and 440MP sensors. It's possible that this might find its way into the S26U.
The 200MP HP7 sensor was initially planned for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but it was canceled due to its high cost. However, Revegnus says there is another 320MP sensor in development. It’s possible that this sensor could be used in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset already supports 320MP cameras, and the upcoming Snapdragon chip might also support 320MP cameras. So, it’s possible that 320MP sensors could be the next big thing in smartphones after 200MP cameras.
Samsung is bringing new entry-level smartphones including the Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s smartphones. The successor to Galaxy A04 is coming with considerable upgrades including a new chipset and camera configuration. It was recently spotted at Federal Communications Commission (FCC) with some new details.
The FCC listing unveils a bit of detail about the smartphone’s design and other specifications. It appears to be a 4G LTE device carrying along support for WiFi 2.4/5GHz, and Bluetooth 5.3. Interestingly, the Galaxy A05 was also recently spotted on FCC with triple WiFi band support. Such features testify that the Galaxy A05s will be the lite version of the standard Galaxy A05. Further, the Galaxy A05s is tested with a 4000 mAh SLC-51 battery and TA-800 25W fast charger.
The schematic design has unleashed its rear design featuring a round camera module, and Samsung branding at the bottom center of the device. The round corners are quite visible in the design. Other details about the device are yet under wraps.
Some previous leaks do shed some light on the specifications including the presence of Helio G85 chipset and 4GB RAM. It will run on Android 13 and will bundle some other upgrades.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy A04 was launched with a 6.5-inch PLS LCD display and Helio P35 SoC, 8GB RAM, and 128GB Internal Storage. So, the presence of a new chipset will surely improve the performance and efficiency of the new smartphone.
We expect more details about the Galaxy A05 in the coming few days which may get unleashed via the upcoming leaks and certifications.

Earlier this week, Redmi launched the Redmi K60 Ultra smartphone in China. A slightly tweaked version of the device is expected to debut in the global market soon under the Xiaomi 13T Pro moniker. The launch is expected to happen on September 1, however, renders of the device have already leaked online.
The leak comes from MySmartPrice, who have credited tipster Kacper Skrzypek for the pictures. Starting from the back design, it is quite similar to the K60 Ultra, which means we get a flat back with flat edges. The camera module design is also similar, however, the 13T Pro has Leica branding on it, which isn’t present on the back of the K60 Ultra.
Two color options are revealed in the renders: Black and light blue. The black variant appears to feature a glass back, while the blue color option appears to have a vegan leather back. Furthermore, the images also show that the power and volume buttons will be located on the right edge of the device, whereas at the bottom side, the handset will have a speaker grill, a USB Type-C port, and a SIM card slot.
Xiaomi 13T Pro specs (rumored)
In a recent leak, we found out that the 13T Pro will be slightly different from the K60 Ultra. While the display will be the same 6.67-inch OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, the camera setup will be a bit different.
It will feature a Sony IMX707 50-megapixel primary camera, paired with a 13MP OmniVision OV13B ultra-wide camera and an OV50D 50-megapixel telephoto camera. Up-front, the device has a 20-megapixel Sony IMX596 camera.
