Alienware has just announced the successor to the Aurora R15 desktop gaming PC. The new model is the Aurora R16, which features a design overhaul over its predecessor. So here are all the details.
Alienware Aurora R16 Design & Specs
The new Aurora R16 is an updated version of its flagship gaming rig. It arrives with a refreshed design that skips the triangular shape of the Aurora R15 in favor of the rectangular design of the Legend 3 gaming laptop that was launched earlier this year. A major change is the slimming down of its design profile, with the Aurora R16 being around 40 percent smaller than its predecessor. Despite this, it retains the same internal volume and still offers upgradability as well.
Furthermore, the Aurora R16 model debuts the Alienware Command Center for its desktop PC lineup. Apart from its smaller form, the latest PC brings 20 percent lower acoustics along with 7 percent lower temperatures and up to 10 percent lower CPU temps when compared to the R15. As per official claims, the PC has a larger air intake and exhaust, with a 54.5 percent larger open ratio.
Under the hood, the R16 is currently offered with an Nvidia RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 Ti in the US and Canda. On the other hand, the European and Asian markets can expect to find RTX 3050 and RTX 4080 GPUs. This includes two M.2 PCIe SSD slots, up to 8TB of internal storage, and supports Wi-Fi 6E for up to 2.5Gbps speeds. Alienware’s new R16 desktop is available for a price tag of 1,750 US Dollars.
The Apple Watch Series 9 is expected to launch along with the latest generation of iPhones next month. But prior to the launch, details regarding the company’s next-gen smartwatch have been leaked and it hints at a possible Barbie-inspired color.
Apple Watch Series 9 joins the Barbie hype train?
The news arrives from known tipster ShrimpApplePro, who shared the information on Twitter. In the tweet, he hints that there are no major design changes in the upcoming Apple Watch Series 9. There are apparently no real changes on the outside. So, it is unlikely that the new Watch Series 9 will receive the programmable Action Button that was found on last year’s Apple Watch Ultra.
The Cupertino based giant is retaining the sizes from last year as well, with the lineup arriving in either 41mm or 45mm cases. According to the tipster, the Aluminum variant of the Series 9 will include multiple color options that include red, silver, and pink. Meanwhile, the Steel version will launch in a gold, graphite, and silver option. While it’s not directly implied, this could be a special collaboration with the recent blockbuster hit, Barbie.
Although, this is still just speculation so take this with a pinch of salt. ShrimpApplePro also revealed some interesting details regarding the upcoming Apple Watch Ultra 2 as well. The successor to the original Watch Ultra will feature a new Dark Gray/Titanium Black color option. Reportedly, a new Apple iPad Mini 7 is also in the works.

The Moods are presets that emphasize specific colors, such as making the sky look bluer or the grass look greener.
You can also adjust the AF transition speed, which determines how quickly the camera will focus from one subject to another. The Cinematic Vlog Setting also uses a 24 fps frame rate and the widescreen Cinemascope aspect ratio (2.35:1) to give your videos a more cinematic look. For a truly cinematic look, the ZV-E1 also features S-Cinetone. This is a color profile that is designed to give skin tones a natural and healthy look.
In addition to the Cinematic Vlog Setting, the ZV-E1 also has a selection of Creative Looks that you can use to create different looks for your photos and videos. These presets can be used as they are or customized to your liking. Finally, the ZV-E1 also has a new My Image Style feature that lets you save your own custom settings. Despite being overshadowed by security concerns and privacy issues since its debut two years ago, Apple‘s AirTag tracking device remains a topic of interest among tech enthusiasts. A major talking point is the potential development of its sequel, the AirTag 2, rumored for release as early as the end of 2024. However, this information is far from official and is largely based on the speculation of revered analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo.
The new Airtag 2 is expected to be designed around Apple’s newer products, like the Vision Pro
Kuo’s vague prediction of the AirTag 2’s production commencing in the fourth quarter of 2024 suggests uncertainty. Though his inside sources often provide reliable insights, the current information seems speculative, primarily hinging on the commercial success of the original AirTag, whose sales figures are not publicly disclosed.
Nevertheless, it’s apparent that Kuo sees the AirTag’s sales performance as robust enough to justify the production of a second-generation device. It’s difficult, however, to predict the exact capabilities, features, and upgrades the AirTag 2 might bring to the table due to the distant prospective release window. Whether it will hit the shelves during the last quarter of next year or in the first few months of 2025 remains a mystery.
Intriguingly, Kuo envisions a larger role for the AirTag 2, which he believes will be central to Apple’s spatial computing ecosystem. This setup is expected to revolve around the Vision Pro headset, another product under Apple’s umbrella. Although the specifics of this integration remain unclear, it hints at a potential shift in Apple’s product dynamics. It holds the promise of not only addressing the shortcomings of its predecessor but also laying down new paths in Apple’s future ecosystem.

Furthermore, voice access now operates in more areas in Windows, allowing users to log in to their PC and access other areas on the Lock screen using their voice.
As Microsoft continues to refine and expand on these previews, these updates provide a promising glimpse into the future of Windows. Please note that the current releases are not yet available for all insiders in the Beta Channel, but will gradually be rolled out in the coming weeks.
Keychron is a renowned manufacturer of wireless mechanical keyboards, which are popular for their unique combination of aesthetics and functionality. Known for their diverse range, they offer keyboards tailored to various user needs, from gaming to professional typing. Their products are highly praised for their sleek design, impressive battery life, and seamless cross-platform compatibility. The company has made its entry into the gaming segment with the launch of its new gaming keyboard, Lemokey. The division’s debut product is the Lemokey L3, a crowdfunded full-length gaming keyboard that boasts a strong, customizable aluminium body.
The Lemokey L3 has 3 different keycap colour scheme options to choose from
The Lemokey L3 separates itself from the pack with its 2.4GHz wireless connection and impressive 1,000Hz polling rate. However, its true selling point lies in its robust, customizable features. The L3 allows users to choose from three different keycap color schemes, reassign any key, and build custom macros for each key command layer, as well as a dedicated macro column. This customization extends to its physical components, which are easily removable and replaceable, providing gamers with the freedom to tailor the keyboard to their exact preferences. Connectivity is another strong point of the Lemokey L3. It can simultaneously pair with up to three devices via Bluetooth 5.1. For gamers who prioritize minimal latency, a wired option is also available.
Keychron expects to begin delivering the Lemokey L3 this coming October. Prospective buyers will need to pledge a minimum of $189 for the barebones kit, which doesn’t include caps or switches. For a fully assembled unit, the price point rises to $209. The project has already achieved its funding goals, confirming the market’s eager anticipation for the product.
However, the Lemokey L3 may not be for everyone. Gamers who favor 60 percent keyboards or prioritize space-saving above all else might not find it appealing. Likewise, top-tier esports players who demand a wired connection or have a preferred design may not gravitate towards the L3. Despite this, Lemokey’s first product may hit the sweet spot for many gamers, striking a fair balance between customization and performance – all thanks to the company’s reputation.
Unplugged Performance is an aftermarket tuning company that specializes in Tesla vehicles. The company is based in Hawthorne, California, in the vicinity of Tesla’s design center and SpaceX’s headquarters. The company aims to help Tesla owners further customize their vehicles and maximize their driving experience. It has now established a new division—UPfit. The first product in its lineup is the Tesla Model Y Police Vehicle, revealed to the public at the Tesla Takeover in San Luis Obispo, California.
The approximate cost of modifying a Tesla Model Y comes down to around $41,500
Marking its venture into the fleet car industry, Unplugged Performance has already received an order for 20 Tesla Model Y Police Vehicles from the city of South Pasadena, the first U.S city to fully replace its police fleet with electric vehicles. The Tesla-based police car, priced at $91,990 ($50,490 for the base vehicle and an additional $41,500 for the UPfit modifications), offers a cost-effective alternative to the Ford Police Interceptor Utility Hybrid, costing around $7,000 less.
Unplugged Performance emphasizes the benefits of EVs for law enforcement and public safety operations, highlighting their cost-effectiveness, environmental advantages, and minimized downtime due to maintenance. In particular, the firm highlights the suitability of EVs as police cars due to their capacity to power onboard electronics with minimal energy requirements, a crucial factor considering that 60% of fuel in conventional police vehicles is consumed while idling.
UPfit’s customization options for the Tesla Model Y police car include a variety of equipment and accessories, tailored to the requirements of law enforcement. From interior modifications featuring seat covers, molded seats, and high durability materials, to exterior enhancements such as grille guards, custom lighting, and performance braking systems. The company also offers tech add-ons like GPS and radio systems, alongside armoring packages for enhanced protection.
According to Ben Schaffer, CEO of Unplugged Performance, the company’s deep expertise in developing integrated solutions that syncs so well with the Tesla ecosystem makes it a top choice for electric police cars. He asserts, “The most capable, safest, most comfortable environment for an officer to spend the bulk of their day is inside a properly equipped Tesla police car.”
E-bikes are swiftly evolving, transitioning from mere transportation mediums to sophisticated pieces of equipment. The latest innovations in the segment of electric bikes is no longer exclusive to only startup enterprises; popular bike component company, SRAM, is also breaking ground in cutting-edge electric bicycle technology.
Using Voice Assistants with Electric Bikes opens up a whole new series of future innovation opportunities
The US-based company has recently filed patents, inciting speculations about revolutionary control mechanisms for bicycles. Common cycling actions, such as gear-shifting traditionally managed through trigger shifters or switches, could soon be supplanted by hand gestures or voice commands, akin to what’s already familiar with virtual assistants like Siri and Alexa.
The proposed design features a glove equipped with an array of sensors, transforming hand movements into e-bike commands. While shift-by-gesture technology might seem somewhat far-fetched, these special gloves could potentially control e-bike displays and toggle through various settings, enhancing ride customization and convenience.
Voice commands are another game-changer on the horizon, with applications planned for high-end e-bikes with multiple ride modes. One could potentially command their bike to switch modes or adjust suspension settings dynamically. Premium suspension specialist RockShox, a brand under SRAM’s umbrella, could benefit from this innovation. This aligns with SRAM’s recent acquisition of Amprio, which suggests an intent to broaden its footprint in the e-bike industry. All this is, of course, drawn from SRAM’s recent patents, so the information must be taken with a grain of salt.
A bipartisan group of US lawmakers, led by Republican Gus Bilirakis and Democrat Jan Schakowsky, is pressing Apple‘s CEO, Tim Cook, for clarification regarding the tech giant’s restrictive policies towards blockchain and NFT (Non-Fungible Tokens) applications on its App Store. In a quest for transparency, the Subcommittee on Innovation, Data, and Commerce sought explanations for the alleged obstruction of NFT and blockchain-related technologies.
Apple has previously insisted on the removal of NFT components of applications
According to the lawmakers, Apple’s App Store guidelines appear designed to bolster its profits while limiting the proliferation of apps featuring blockchain, NFT, and related technologies. The implications of these restrictions have compelled several companies to devise “lite” versions of their apps to meet the App Store’s rules on NFTs.
A case in point is Axie Infinity, a renowned company in the NFT space, which after a two-year negotiation period with Apple, was forced to launch a lite version of its app. Despite the lengthy discussion, Apple insisted on the removal of the NFT component of Axie’s app before allowing its appearance on the App Store.
The lawmakers’ letter underscored the concern that Apple’s strict App Store policies serve not only as a profit-enhancement strategy but also as a weapon against potential competitors. Critics argue that this approach stifles innovation and competition, threatening the healthy growth of emerging sectors such as blockchain and NFTs.
Apple’s response to these allegations will determine if the tech giant’s stance will evolve or continue to be a roadblock to blockchain and NFT app developers seeking to utilize its platform.

Vivo V2313A 3C certification
The 3C certification of the Vivo V2313A indicates that it is a 5G-ready phone that may ship with a 44W charger. Unfortunately, there is no information on the final marketing name of the V2313A.
When the device was spotted at the radio certification last month, it was speculated that it could be one of the Vivo X10 series of smartphones. However, the charging capabilities of the device hint that it could be an upcoming Y-series phone.
Earlier this year, Vivo launched the Vivo X Flip, its first clamshell phone with a foldable screen. The X Flip comes with support for 44W fast charging. Hence, there is a possibility that the V2313A could be an updated version of the device dubbed the Vivo X Flip+. However, the rumor mill is yet to reveal any information on the existence of such a device. Hence, the V2313A is likely to end up as a Y-branded model.
In related news, Vivo is working on a couple of new devices for different markets. The brand recently launched the Vivo V29 5G with the Snapdragon 778G onboard in the European market. The device is expected to arrive soon in Asian markets. The brand is said to be working on a Dimensity 8-series powered Vivo X100 5G. As for China, Vivo is expected to announce the Vivo Pad Air tablet in the near future. The X100 and X100 Pro with Dimensity 9300 are expected to debut in November this year in China. The X100 Pro+, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, may break cover in Q1 2024, along with the Vivo X Fold 3 foldable phone.
Sonos, a company known for making high-end speakers, is now gearing up to launch its next portable speaker, dubbed Sonos Move 2 in a few weeks, most likely towards the end of next month.
As per the report from The Verge, the upcoming Sonos Move 2 speaker will be similar to the first-generation Sonos Move in terms of design and weigh a bit over six pounds.
While the speaker is said to have the same design, the company has reportedly made several improvements when it comes to audio performance, connectivity, and battery life. The report from The Verge has also revealed the first look of the Sonos Move 2 (pictured above), which it claims to have obtained from sources familiar with the company’s plans.
It is said that the Move 2 speaker will come with support for true stereo audio playback, made possible because of the addition of dual-angled tweeters. This is a major improvement given that the original Move supported only mono output as it had only one tweeter. There will also be a woofer for handling bass.
The device features Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity and has a new switch on the back for disabling the voice assistant microphones. For voice assistance, it supports Amazon Alexa and Sonos Voice Control but has dropped Google Assistant.
The speaker will have support for line-in audio through a USB-C port and the users will also be able to charge mobile devices using the same port. It will also have IP56 ratings, making it dust and water resistance, and to protect it from drops and accidents, the company is said to have opted for shock-absorbent materials.
As for the battery life, the device is touted to support continuous playback of around 24 hours, more than double the 10-hour playback supported by the first-generation Sonos Move. The standby endurance should also improve as the company has designed the battery to use less energy when idle.
Coming to pricing and availability, the Sonos Move 2 will reportedly come in three colors — Black, White, and Olive. It is expected to be priced at $449 in the United States and could be launched in a few weeks.
Samsung Display has received approval for mass production of OLED panels for all four models in Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 series according to a report by The Elec. This is expected to provide a significant advantage to Samsung, as its competitors BOE and LG Display face production disruptions. LG Display received conditional approval for the Pro model, while BOE is encountering struggles with its supply commitments this year.
BOE is experiencing difficulties with the “Dynamic Island” feature, which requires hole display processing for all iPhone 15 models. Unfortunately, BOE’s panels are suffering from light bleed around the Dynamic Island cutout.
On the other hand, LG Display is facing delays in obtaining mass production approval for the Pro Max model. LG Display’s issues are exacerbated by concurrent production problems with the iPhone’s camera modules from suppliers Sony and LG Innotek, causing a parts backlog. This may influence Apple’s production prioritization towards Pro models, which have constituted a significant portion of iPhone series shipments in recent years.
Following LG Display’s conditional approval, efforts are underway to expedite the Pro Max model’s approval. Despite facing difficulties with bezel and hole display implementation for OLEDs, LG Display aims to increase its iPhone 15 Pro model OLED production. However, ongoing production disruptions for the iPhone 15 Pro Max may result in a larger profit share for Samsung Display, which also benefited last year from LG Display’s production issues.
In addition to these complexities, Samsung Display may increase its material and component orders amid the production intricacies. However, a patent dispute with BOE adds further complications to the market. BOE recently filed for an invalidation trial of one of Samsung Display’s US patents, related to Samsung’s diamond pixel structure, which BOE allegedly used when supplying OLEDs for Apple iPhones since the iPhone 12.
