AYA NEO is gearing up for a new handheld gaming console launch. The company had recently unveiled the AYA NEO 2S, and now, the new Air 1S model is set to be released soon. With its specs, we can assume that this model could take on even the ASUS ROG Ally.

AYA NEO Air 1S specifications

The Air 1S model will arrive as a mid cycle refresh, which features the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U. In other words, the upcoming handheld console will feature Zen 4 CPU cores that will be paired with an RDNA 3 based integrated graphics and LPDDR5X RAM. In terms of performance, this chip has been seen outperforming the Ryzen Z1 series chipset, which is the APU that powers the ASUS ROG Ally. Meaning, the upcoming Air 1S model could compete with the ROG Ally in the handheld market.

This processor will be paired with LPDDR5X memory. The Air 1S will house an upgraded cooling system and a new stereo speaker setup. Furthermore, the handheld console sports a 5.5 inch AMOLED display, which outputs natively at 1080p resolution and 350 nits of peak brightness. This panel has a 16:9 aspect ratio and 99 percent DCI P3 color gamut.

The Air 1S offers the full suite of joysticks and triggers that are accompanied by an x-axis linear motor. Under the hood, a 38Wh battery pack powers the device. Now the Honor Pad X9 listing is spotted on the Google Play Console, providing key insights into its specifications.

ColorOS 14 Fold based on Android 14 to release soon

Google is expected to release Android 14 stable in August. Thus, Android OEMs will be announcing their version of the latest Android following that.

Oppo will be one of them. Its next-gen mobile software is expected to be called ColorOS 14 in line with the new version of Android.

A screenshot of this software has now emerged on the web. Let’s go through the details.

Reliable leaker Digitial Chat Station has shared a picture of ColorOS 14 Fold on Weibo. As per the model number (PGU110) in the image, the screenshot is from Oppo Find N2.

In a comment to this post, the tipster says that Oppo is testing ColorOS 14 on OnePlus 11, Oppo Find N2, and Oppo Find X6 Pro. This means just like their predecessors, these devices will be the first to receive the latest version of ColorOS.

Most importantly, ColorOS 14 will be even more optimized for foldable as shown in the picture. Thus, the foldable version is getting a new name — ColorOS Fold, just like MIUI Fold.

At present, it is not known if there will be ColorOS Pad akin to MIUI Pad. Since large screen foldables and tablets basically have a similar UI, there could be ColorOS 14 Pad after all.

Red Magic has just announced its latest generation of flagship smartphones in its home market of China. This includes the new Red Magic 8S Pro and the Red Magic 8S Pro+ models. These gadgets arrive with some top notch specs and features, so let’s have a look.

Design & Display

In terms of design, the 8S Pro and 8S Pro+ model are basically identical from the outside. The rear panel on both phones feature a micro etched embossed texture, which enabled the panel to appear glossy and premium. The Red Magic 8S Pro series also house the iconic RGB enabled fan that not only cools your device, but even adds a gaming aesthetic as well. Meanwhile, the front features a full display design thanks to its fourth generation under display camera technology. There is even a Deuterium Edition for each model, which features transparent panel

In other words, you can have completely unhindered gaming experience from the tall 6.8 inch OLED display. This panel is made by BOE and offers 2480 × 1116 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 960Hz touch sampling rate, 10 bit color depth, 100 percent DCI P3 color gamut, 1440Hz PWM high frequency dimming, DC dimming, and 1300 nits of peak brightness as well. This processor is paired with up to a massive LPDDR5X 24GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. To handle such beefy specs, the company offers the ICE 12.0 cooling system with the built in fan.

The new Red Magic 8S Pro is powered by a massive 6,000mAh battery pack that supports 80W fast charging that can fully power up the device in just 35 minutes. On the other hand, the 8S Pro+ model features an impressive 165W fast charging that can power the handset to 100 percent in just 14 minutes. The brand also employs a dedicated Redcore R2 chipset in these devices that offers basically offers an improved gaming experience. This is further complimented by a pair of shoulder mounted 520Hz gaming triggers. Other notable features include, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 3 microphone setup, 2ms low latency from WiFi 7, and dual X-axis linear motors.

Camera

The selfie camera on the Red Magic 8S Pro series is housed underneath the display, making the screen seamless from the front. This camera is a 16 megapixel OmniVision OV16A1Q sensor. On the other hand, the rear features a triple camera setup that consists of a 50 megapixel Samsung S5KGN5 primary shooter, an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a 2 megapixel macro camera.

The Chinese smartphone maker has launched the Red Magic 8S Pro series in multiple options. It has a starting price tag of 3,999 Yuan for the base variant but there are multiple options to choose from. Apart from this, the company has even unveiled a new Red Magic Gaming Tablet as well as a new Red Magic 8S Pro+ Bumblebee Edition which features a design inspired by the iconic Transformers franchise’s character. As per reports, Realme is preparing for the launch of the Realme GT Neo 6 series in China. It may possibly launch in August of this year. A new leak courtesy of reliable leaker Digital Chat Station reveals that the company is also working on a flagship phone powered by the forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

According to the tipster, the upcoming Realme flagship will boast the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and pack impressive specifications. He added that the smartphone will be equipped with a periscope zoom camera. Unfortunately, no further details regarding other specifications or the exact launch timeframe were shared.

It is highly likely that this Realme flagship will belong to the GT series and may be unveiled a few months after the Realme GT Neo 6 series. Qualcomm is expected to officially announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip in October of this year. Brands like Xiaomi, Vivo, OnePlus, and iQOO are expected to launch Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered flagship phones in November and December of this year.

Samsung and Best Buy are facing a class action lawsuit in the US over allegations that certain Samsung QLED 4K TVs do not possess advertised features. We recently learned that Xiaomi has started preparing MIUI 15 builds for its devices. Now, a reliable tipster reveals the smartphones that will launch with the upcoming version of MIUI.

The source discloses four phones that will ship with next-gen MIUI. He even mentions a highlight of these handsets. Let’s go through the details.

According to Digital Chat Station, the Redmi Note 13 series and the Xiaomi 14 series will be pre-installed with MIUI 15. As per him, these lineups will include at least two devices each.

He says that the Redmi Note 13 devices bear model numbers N16 and N17. We believe these products could be officially called Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus.

Further, he tells that the Xiaomi 14 handsets sport model numbers N2 and N3. We think that they will be likely called Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro.

Finally, the leaker mentions that all of these smartphones will be equipped with narrow bezel displays. He revealed the same last week as well.

Unfortunately, that’s all he has to say about these forthcoming phones from Xiaomi. But we are looking forward to learning more about them in the coming weeks.

The South Korean tech giant’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S9+ was recently spotted on Thailand’s NBTC certification website. For those unaware, the company is set to launch the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra in the market soon. We have already seen these tablet models get certified in a number of websites already. The latest sighting shows that the new flagship grade tablet carries the SM-X816B model number, which is in line with our previous reports.

Back in June, we had reported on leaked marketing materials that showcased the Galaxy Tab S9 lineup. Similarly, the Galaxy Tab S9+ had even surfaced on the GeekBench benchmarking platform as well in April. Based on what we know so far, the brand will be launching the tablets alongside a number of other gadgets sometime later this month. This launch event could be set within the last week of July, possibly around the 26th or 27th.

Unfortunately, not a lot of information was shared on the online database but we know that the device will feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood. The specifications of the phone are no secret since the device was announced in May. Its landing page on Amazon states that the Camon 20 Premier 5G is equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a centrally positioned punch-hole and an under-display fingerprint sensor.

The Camon 20 Premier 5G will be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery. The brand has confirmed that its retail package will include a 45W fast charger. For heat dissipation, the device will have the so-called Super VC Cooling technology.

It goes without saying that the Camon 20 Premier 5G lies in the camera department. The 50-megapixel RGBW-Pro camera with sensor-shift OIS can compensate for shakes up to 5,000 times per second, resulting in crisp photos and videos. The RGBW sensor can absorb more light for an enhanced photography experience in dim lighting conditions.

By leveraging artificial intelligence and analyzing data from over 100,000 smartwatch wearers, the researchers were able to predict the development of Parkinson’s up to seven years before symptoms appeared. The key to their prediction lay in tracking the speed of movement of the participants over a single week between 2013 and 2016.

The potential of this discovery as a screening tool is huge, to say the least, but a lot of further studies are required to validate its accuracy by comparing the findings with data from around the world. Published in the journal Nature Medicine, the study highlights the need for extensive research to confirm these findings.

Parkinson’s disease is characterized by the progressive degeneration of brain cells over an extended period. The classic symptoms include involuntary shaking or tremors, slow movement, and stiff muscles. Unfortunately, by the time a diagnosis is made, irreversible damage has often already happened.

Approximately 30% of the UK population has adopted smartwatches, and that’s great because it offers a promising avenue for early-stage Parkinson’s detection. Study leader Dr. Cynthia Sandor believes that the ability to predict events up to seven years in advance based on a week’s worth of data could lead to the development of a valuable screening tool. This tool would not only facilitate early detection but also aid in clinical trial recruitment and allow patients to access treatments at an earlier stage when they become available.

The study relied on data from the UK Biobank, an extensive health database encompassing over half a million individuals. Dr. Kathryn Peall, a researcher involved in the study, expressed confidence in the accuracy of the model, stating that it could differentiate Parkinson’s from other conditions that affect movement, such as old age or frailty.

The ethical implications of informing individuals about their Parkinson’s diagnosis years before symptoms set in is a whole different dilemma. However, at the moment, it will remain a matter of personal choice. The potential impact of this research lies in the fact that it will greatly speed up the development of therapies capable of slowing disease progression.

These pictures confirm what we already know with the new and updated Glyph interface on the slightly more curved rear panel.
