It is also being claimed that the upcoming device will be lighter and cooler compared to the original PS5. Further, it is said that the company is working on a solution to remove the requirement of a PS5 stand when the system is placed horizontally.

It has been a couple of years since the PS5 got launched, but potential customers are still facing shortage issues and have not been able to get their hands on the device easily. While the stock availability has been improving, people cannot just walk into the store and buy the PS5 gaming console, and they still have to source it from scalers for more than the MRP.

The development comes after Sony recently increased the PS5’s price in various regions, including Europe, the UK, Japan, and more, citing high global inflation rates and adverse currency trends as the reasons for the hike.

The report indicates that the AR Glasses from Apple have been postponed to the year 2025 or 2026, mainly because of design issues. It appears to be a major issue, given that the earlier report from Jeff Pu had indicated that the augmented reality device could be announced as soon as 2024.

As of now, there’s no information available on what exactly is the problem that the company is facing and the term “design difficulties” is also quite broad as it could cover anything from the aesthetics to the technical design.

While there appear to be delays in the AR devices from Apple, the company is still determined and has made Augmented Reality its top priority as its CEO Tim Cook believes that the technology is the next big thing. The company already has AR elements on the iPhone, it will be interesting to see what the company brings to the table after its devices get launched in the market.

Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition annual subscription launched in India at Rs 599

Amazon Prime Video has just got a new annual plan for users in India. It is called Mobile Edition which means that it is a mobile-specific only plan. Amazon had announced the same plan last year but it is billed Rs 89 on monthly basis. The new plan is billed annually. The mobile edition pack will compete against the likes of similar mobile subscription plans offered by competitors like Disney+ Hotstar and Netflix.

The Amazon Prime Mobile Edition plan sits alongside the standard version’s monthly, quarterly, and annual subscription options that have been available for consumers in India. Similar to Disney+ Hostar, Amazon also offers mobile plans as bundled options with telecom recharge packs.

The mobile-only subscription of Amazon Prime Video is priced at Rs 599 per year compared to the standard annual plan of Rs 1,499. The mobile pack continues to offer access to Amazon originals, live cricket, and international movies. Additionally,  subscribers get X-rays powered by IMDB and the ability to download for offline viewing.

However, the Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition also offers fewer benefits compared to the standard membership. Since the new plan is a mobile-only subscription, only one user can access it at a time. There’s no option for multi-user profiles and streaming across devices in UHD. Subscribers also don’t get access to fast delivery options and ad-free music with Prime Music. The video streaming quality is also limited to 480p compared to 4K on standard version.

Prime Video International Vice President said in a statement “We are confident that the new Prime Video Mobile Edition annual plan will further help accelerate the growth of our India business and give an even larger customer base access to the high-quality content on the service. With this launch we look forward to entertaining every Indian with our popular on-demand entertainment content and live sports.”

Sony PlayStation 5 becomes expensive in India

Sony has just increased the price of its PlayStation 5. This is the first time the Japanese brand is hiking the price of the console since its launch back in 2020. The development is bad news for those planning to purchase the console. The revised pricing of the PlayStation 5 has been updated on Sony’s ShopAtSC website

Sony had previously hiked the price of the PlayStation 5 in other markets. Hence, it was just a matter of time before the console became expensive in India as well. Notably, Sony’s competitor Microsoft also increased the prices of the Xbox Series X and S for the third time in the country along with some controllers and accessories. During the price hike of the PS5 in other markets excluding India, Sony cited high global inflation, currency fluctuations, and economic slowdown as the main reasons.

Sony has raised the prices of both the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition. Both have become expensive by Rs 4,000. The PS5 was available for Rs 49,990 and is now priced at Rs 54,990 which is a 10 percent increase above its original price. The Digital Edition costs Rs 44,990, up 12.5 percent from Rs 39,990. Fortunately, the prices of PS5 accessories like DualSense controller, Pulse 3D headphones, DualSense Charging Station, and HD camera remain the same.

The only difference between the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition is that the former comes with a 4K Blu-ray disk slot. Both consoles are powered by an octa-core AMD CPU paired with 16GB GDDR6 RAM and 1TB SSD.

Weibo user 厂长是关同学 (via HuaweiCentral) reveals that the Huawei FreeBuds 5 will be launched next month. It will be announced alongside a mysterious product codenamed ‘Conan’. This unknown device could be the rumored Huawei Watch GT 4.

The FreeBuds 5 and the Watch GT 4 were said to make their debut alongside the P50 Pocket S. Instead, the low-cost foldable was accompanied by Watch GT Cyber last week.

It is worth noting that though the FreeBuds 5 are yet to release, Huawei has already launched the FreeBuds 5i earlier this year. It’s not surprising as the FreeBuds 4i were also introduced ahead of FreeBuds 4.

Unfortunately, there’s no information on these upcoming earbuds. It will most likely retain features from its predecessor and may feature some upgrades.

We are looking forward to learning more about this product as we near its launch in the coming weeks. As usual, there could be leaks and official teasers.
