Ambrane has unveiled its first line of wearable smart glasses, dubbed Glares, in India. They combine sound, vision, and style to improve a wearer’s everyday experiences. Glares are a type of open-ear audio glass, just like Snapchat spectacles. The smart glasses have built-in speakers that are hidden in the frame. Additionally, they feature Bluetooth 5.1, two lenses that can be changed based on the surroundings, and a speaker system. Let’s have a closer look at the details.

Ambrane Glares specifications

Ambrane Glares feature built-in speakers with support for touch controls hidden on the temple. They come with a MEMS microphone and are claimed to offer water-resistant HD Surround Sound.

For a hassle-free experience, the glasses feature touch controls, which can be used to accept or reject calls, control music playback, and wake voice assistants. Ambrane Glares are Bluetooth v5.1 compatible and work with both iOS and Android.

As per the company, Glares uses excellent clarity and glare reduction glasses for clear vision. They feature a magnetic clip-on lens that changes from blue light filtering to premium sunglasses. In addition, the product is covered by a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

The smart glasses are claimed to be UV400 certified and offer 99.99 percent protection from UV rays and radiation. They have an IPX4 rating for water resistance and offer a battery life of 7 hours with just two hours of charging, says the company. Moreover, the eyewear is unisex, so both men and women can style it.

Ambrane Glares are priced at Rs. 9,999 in India. However, they are currently available for purchase at a discounted price of Rs. 4,999 through the company’s website. They are offered in round and square shapes and come in a sole black color option.

Google Assistant and Apple’s Siri are supported on the Wings Phantom 260. You can also use the voice controls to play music, make or receive calls, and adjust volume among others. Blaupunkt QLED smart TV launched in India starting at Rs. 36,999 ($465)

Three QLED smart TVs have been launched in India by Super Plastronics Pvt Ltd (SPPL) under the Blaupunkt brand. The 50”, 55”, and 65” Blaupunkt QLED TVs feature Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, HDR10+, and Google TV. The Blaupunkt brand has been licensed to SPPL in India and the models also feature 60W stereo speakers.

The three Quantum-Dot LED TVs have an integrated microphone technology that supports voice controls. You can switch on or off the TV, change inputs, adjust the volume, search for content, and do lots more activities via voice commands even at a distance. The TVs have a bezel-less design and are powered by the MediaTek MT9602 processor with Mali-G52 MC1 GPU. The new TVs also support Dual Band Wi-Fi and the CyberSound Gen 2.0 surround sound delivers a great acoustic experience for users.

All three Blaupunkt QLED TVs have 4K QLED displays with brightness levels between 550 and 600 nits. Their MediaTek processor is a 1.5GHz Quad-core chip with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The accompanying remote has shortcuts for Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and Google Play. Google Assistant is used for voice controls and is active over a distance, thanks to the powerful microphone system. Furthermore, you can also use a smartphone as Google TV remote for the TVs.

The Blaupunkt QLED TV is priced between Rs. 36,999 (~$465) for the 55-inch model, and Rs. 62,999 (~$792) for the 65-inch model. All three models will be available via Flipkart soon. Xiaomi has announced an investigation to establish whether an alleged Redmi 6A explosion caused the death of a New Delhi woman. This follows a tweet by a man on September 9, saying that his aunt was found dead due to a blast by her Redmi 6A. The company says customer safety is of utmost importance and extreme seriousness. Xiaomi India says its team is trying to get in touch with the affected family and determine the cause of the incident.

The man’s tweet also included screenshots of the shattered Redmi 6A and the woman lying in a pool of her blood. The man called out Xiaomi to take responsibility for the incident. The man stated that his aunt used her smartphone basically for calling and YouTube and the explosion may have been due to the phone’s battery.

Xiaomi India has not provided much optics on the investigation it had commenced, but we expect to get a definitive report of what actually happened. The team should be able to identify the proximate cause (s) of the alleged explosion. It is unclear whether the details of such an investigation could be made public but safety issues as this should also involve the regulatory agencies. Xiaomi also did not provide a timeline for the conclusion of the investigation but it must be comprehensive.

Mivi has launched two new audio devices in India. These include the DuoPods M30 TWS earphones and Collar Flash Pro neckband-styled earphones. Both offerings carry the same price tags. However, they are slightly different from each other in terms of specifications and features.

The Mivi DuoPods M30 feature an in-ear design and are IPX4-rated sweatproof. Users can perform various functions by tapping on the earbuds. On the other hand, the Collar Flash Pro are neckband-styled earphones with IPX4 sweatproof resistance. The earbuds can be magnetically attached to each other.

On the audio front, the Mivi DuoPods M30 and Collar Flash Pro are equipped with 10.5mm and 13mm drivers respectively. They feature passive noise cancellation (PNC) that blocks out unwanted noise around the user. The TWS earbuds come with a charging case that is powered by a 380mAh battery unit and claimed to deliver 42 hours of usage on a single charge. Oppo Reno 8 5G, Oppo K10 5G Join ColorOS 13 Alpha Program

Oppo is running alpha and beta programs of Android 13-based ColorOS 13 for multiple smartphones in different markets. The Oppo Reno 8 5G and Oppo K10 5G are the latest handsets to join the alpha initiative.

Oppo only reveals dates for open beta and stable rollouts. Hence, the ColorOS 13 alpha program for the aforementioned phones comes as a surprise.

According to the official announcement posts on Oppo Community, the alpha registrations for these devices ran from September 7 to 10 in India. The company had only allocated 100 seats for each smartphone.

We do not know if the firm will be recruiting more alpha testers. However, the handsets are scheduled to receive open beta builds in October. Hence, interested users can enroll in that initiative next month.

As far as stable release is concerned, we think it may happen in November at the earliest. Because Oppo has a track recording of rolling out the stable update a month after the release of the open beta.

It is worth noting that apart from India, the ColorOS 13 alpha program for Oppo Reno 8 5G is also live in China. Interestingly, the company is yet to make announcements for other markets. Maybe, these regions will get direct access to open beta, followed by stable.

Kodak QLED TVs with 40W speakers, 2GB RAM launched in India starting at Rs 33,999

Kodak has launched three new QLED televisions in India. All three TVs come with identical specifications and features apart from differences in screen sizes. Notably, Super Plastronics PVT LTD (SSPL) is the brand license of Kodak and they had also launched Thomson and Blaupunkt QLED televisions in the country recently. The Kodak QLED TVs are offered in 50, 55, and 65-inch screen sizes with a bezel-less design and a 96 percent screen-to-body ratio. OnePlus launched the OnePlus 10 Pro in China earlier in January this year. The device debuted in the global markets later in March. Earlier today, popular tipster Digital Chat Station said that the brand is working on a flagship phone with the unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC that is expected to go official at the Snapdragon Tech Summit in November. The flagship device is tipped to be none other than the OnePlus 11 Pro 5G and it will reportedly debut by the end of this year.

Now, in the latest development, publication SmartPrix in collaboration with reputed tipster Onleaks has shared leaked renders of the OnePlus 11 Pro 5G. The images are said to be based on an early prototype of the device. Right off the bat, the OnePlus 11 Pro 5G has a redesigned camera island. It has a half pill-shaped border from that stretches from the side frame to the middle of the back panel. It houses a circular camera bump with three sensors and an LED flash. There is also Hasselblad text that confirms the brand will partner with the legendary camera maker for its upcoming flagship.

The renders also revealed an alert slider on the OnePlus 11 Pro 5G. It was missing on the company’s last two flagships i.e. the OnePlus 10R and OnePlus 10T. Lastly, there is a punch-hole cutout at the top left corner of the screen. Apart from this, the renders don’t reveal any additional details about the smartphone.

We can expect more information to crop up about the OnePlus 11 Pro 5G in the coming months.

However, it soon got hit with sanctions from the US, which essentially crippled its smartphone operations as a whole. But now, it appears that there might soon be some changes that help improve its situation.

For those unaware, the Chinese tech giant got hit with various restrictions that took away its access to technologies that originate from America. This basically had it lose its supply to crucial technology for its products. Furthermore, the US had followed up this with more sanctions that cut off Huawei from its primary chip supplier, TSMC. Since then, the company has launched just two flagship series, with both of them only supporting 4G networking despite the chips being used were flagship top end Qualcomm Snapdragon chips.

After Joe Biden became the new president, many had hoped that the new administration would lift some restrictions against Huawei. But this was not the case. However, it appears there will be some changes, with a Bloomberg report claiming that the US Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security issued a rule allowing certain low level technologies to be shared. In other words, some technologies can be shared to sanctioned entities like Huawei.

Alan Estevez, the Commerce undersecretary for industry and security stated that “US stakeholders need to be fully engaged in international standards organizations, particularly where the critical but sometimes invisible standards that they set have important national security as well as commercial implications.” In other words, this might be some positive news in a while for the Chinese smartphone maker.

Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition specifications

The Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition has a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by the Helio G96 chipset and 8 GB of RAM. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.

The Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition has a 32-megapixel front camera. Its back panel has an OIS-assisted 64-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel portrait lens, and a 2-megapixel depth-sensing unit.

Earlier today, Sony held an Xperia gaming event where it unveiled the Xperia Stream, a cooling case that works with the Xperia 1 IV smartphone and serves as a streaming setup.

The device has a full-sized HDMI port, a LAN port, a headphone jack, and a USB-C port on top that connects to the phone via USB-C. Because it lacks any extra buttons or joysticks, you must still play games on the phone’s screen.

With a video output limit of 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, the HDMI port can assist you in streaming video games to a monitor or TV. Additionally, you can connect a capture card to record and live-stream your gaming encounters. The Game Enhancer menu allows for customizable control of the case-integrated cooling fans.

The retail price for the Sony Xperia Stream is JPY 23,100, or $160. Sony also unveiled a new Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition smartphone bundle, which costs JPY 175,000 ($1,225) and includes the recently unveiled attachment in addition to a device with 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage.

Motorola has been gearing up to launch its flagship Edge 30 Ultra and even the Edge 30 Fusion in India soon. But it appears that these won’t be the only upcoming models in the region, and a budget Moto E22 is also set to be announced soon.

Before the company has officially announced the smartphone, the Motorola E22’s entire design has been leaked through new renders. These renders offers us a clear view at its full design from the front and back. The renders were shared by known tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore (Via 91Mobiles). Looking at these pictures, the device has a dual camera setup on the rear, while the front sports a waterdrop notch display.

Since it is an E series model, the upcoming Motorola smartphone will be a budget level smartphone. Unfortunately, finer details regarding this handset is still unknown. Although, the renders showcase that it has thin bezels around the display, but with a noticeable chin. The rear has a plastic rear panel houses a rectangular module on the back that has a dual camera setup and an LED flash. No fingerprint scanner can be seen on the back, so it might be mounted on the side.

The top has a 3.5mm headphone jack, which also has a Dolby Atmos branding. As per some recent certifications, the Moto E22 will also run on the Android 12 OS out of the box. It is also possible that this model will feature specs similar to the E22s, which is available in Europe. The device sports a 6.5 inch 90Hz IPS LCD panel, a 16 megapixel dual camera setup, 5,000mAh battery pack, and a Helio G37 SoC.

Vivo V25 5G Indian price leaked ahead of September 15 Launch

After the launch of the Vivo V25 Pro last month, the company is gearing up to debut the vanilla Vivo V25 5G in India. The launch is scheduled for September 15. However, the pricing of the device has already leaked.

According to a MySmartPrice report, the base variant of the device will be priced at Rs 27,999. On the other hand, the top-end 12GB model with 256GB of internal storage will be priced at Rs 31,999.

Vivo V25 5G specs

The Vivo V25 has a waterdrop notch on its 6.44-inch AMOLED display. It supports HDR10+ and features Full HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. For security, the device has a built-in fingerprint reader.

The smartphone includes a Dimensity 900 processor under the hood, along with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It has the preinstalled Android 12 OS, which will be covered by FunTouch OS 12. The battery can support 44W rapid charging and has a capacity of 4,500 mAh.

The V25 comes with a 50-megapixel front-facing camera with autofocus. The device’s camera module on the back has a 64-megapixel primary camera with OIS. An 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera will aid it.

The V25 also has two SIM slots, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB-C port. The device is offered in a number of hues, such as Sunrise Gold, Aquamarine Blue, and Diamond Black. Fluorite AG glass is used for the rear of all three color options, although only the blue and gold models, like the V25 Pro, can change colors.

The OPPO F21s Pro launch date has been confirmed. The landing page of the lineup available on OPPO India’s website confirms that it will be announced on Sept. 15. Its landing page is also available on Amazon India, which indicates that it could be made available for purchase during Amazon’s upcoming Great Indian Festival 2022 sale. Ahead of the launch, publication Appuals has released a few shots of the dummy units of the F21s Pro series. One of the images confirms the key features of the F21s Pro 5G.

The OPPO F21s Pro series will have two models, the F21 Pro 4G and the F21s Pro 5G. As far as design is concerned, these models will look similar to the F21 Pro and F21 Pro 5G smartphones that debuted in April in India.

One of the major attractions of the F21s Pro 4G is that it will be the first-ever phone in its price segment to flaunt a microlens. It appears that the microlens will allow users to take macro shots with up to 30x magnification. In the image below, the dummy unit of the F21s Pro 5G can be seen on the left, while its 4G sibling can be seen on the right.

According to the publication, the OPPO F21s Pro series will come equipped with a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 front-facing camera. The company has confirmed that the lineup will have a 64-megapixel main camera on the back. Both models in the series are expected to carry support for 33W fast charging.

The lineup is likely to feature 8 GB of RAM, 5 GB of virtual RAM, and 128 GB of storage. Both phones are expected to feature a 6.43-inch AMOLED display that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. According to tipster Paras Guglani, the F21s Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 680, while the 5G edition has the Snapdragon 695.
