Xiaomi Smart TV X Series is set to launch in India on August 30th. It will be announced alongside the Xiaomi NoteBook Pro 120G laptop. Since the name contains the keyword ‘series’, we can expect at least three variants of the upcoming television from the brand.
The Xiaomi Smart TV X Series is confirmed to come with a 4K display resolution. It will feature a sleek and seamless design. Apart from this, the brand doesn’t divulge into additional details about its upcoming television. We can expect Xiaomi to start teasing more features in the coming days leading up to the launch event.
The Xiaomi Smart TV X Series is expected to arrive as the successor to the Mi TV 5X series that debuted in August last year. Notably, the latter offered 4K resolution and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+. They are equipped with 40W sound output. The Mi TV 5X series is powered by a 64-bit quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage.
The Mi TV 5X series started at Rs 31,999 for the base variant. We can expect the upcoming Xiaomi Smart TV X Series to come with upgrades over its predecessor. Similarly, we can also expect them to carry a slightly higher starting price tag.
As for the Xiaomi NoteBook Pro 120G, it is seen with slim bezels, a full-sized keyboard, and a large trackpad. The ‘120G’ in its name suggests that it might have a 120Hz refresh rate screen or a 12th generation Intel Core processor.
Lenovo has finally launched the Legion VR700 headset in China with a starting price tag of 2,999 yuan (~$440). The price will increase to 3299 yuan (~$484) after the initial sales. The VR headset was first announced a few weeks back.

The headsets have a similar Y design to the Lenovo Rescuer series, however, they perform better. Additionally, the device’s video bandwidth has significantly increased. It has an 11-fold increase in AI performance speed and a 10-fold increase in resolution.
The 4K RealRGB display on the Legion VR700 has a quick brush response. VR700 adopts a complete 6DoF design to achieve millimeter-level positioning accuracy, millisecond-level initialization speed, and millisecond-level delay speed to accurately identify body movements. Users will get a better viewing experience thanks to the device. It adopts the iQUT 2.0 standard and supports the iQIYI network resources.
In terms of design, the VR700 adopts a hat-wearing design, and the front and rear weights are carefully optimized. Lenovo say that there will be no obvious drag when worn for a long time. The wide and soft mask makes the viewing experience of glasses natural and comfortable. In addition, the VR700 also supports wired and wireless streaming, and users can just click-and-play the built-in app.

On the front, the Edge (2022) sports a 6.6 inch OLED display that has a Full HD+ resolution, HDR10+ support, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 32 megapixel selfie camera. Last month, the highly anticipated Xiaomi 12S Ultra was finally unveiled in China. It was a part of the 12S series of new flagship smartphones but it was only exclusively available in this region. But now, it appears that the company might soon release the model in the global market as well.
So the Xiaomi 12S Ultra could be coming to the global market after all.
The news regarding the premium grade handset arrives from known tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings). In a tweet, Sharma stated that the Chinese tech giant might be planning on launching the Xiaomi 12S Ultra in the global market. For those unaware, the model was announced in China back in early July 2022. However, this model was only announced in the company’s home market and did not launch in other regions.
While this might sound like good news, it is still an unconfirmed report at the moment so take this news with a pinch of salt. As of right now, we can’t check the validity of this tip, but it seems unlikely considering there has been no Global Model Number spotted yet either. With the Xiaomi 13 series launch being just months away as well, the 12S Ultra will have to launch at least a couple of months before the 13 series to avoid cannibalizing sales.
Talking about the smartphone itself, it was the latest flagship model from the brand and features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The front sports a 6.73 inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display that has a 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The rear features a 50 megapixel triple camera setup, which also sports Leica Summicron lens system on the back.

Xiaomi is gearing up to debut a new laptop in India dubbed Xiaomi NoteBook Pro 120G. The company has disclosed the announcement date. It has also shared a single render of the product teasing its design.
The Xiaomi NoteBook Pro 120G is scheduled to launch in India on August 30. The firm hasn’t revealed the reason behind the name of the product, however, it is using a render of the laptop to tease its design.
Going by this image, the computer may look identical to the Mi NoteBook Pro and the Mi NoteBook Ultra released last year. In other words, it will feature a metal unibody design mimicking the older Apple MacBooks.
Further, the ‘120G’ in the name may refer to the 120Hz refresh rate. It could also mean the presence of a 12th Gen Intel processor. Xiaomi is yet to officially reveal these details. The brand may do it via daily teasers as we are 11 days away from the launch.
The 2021 Xiaomi Mi Notebook Ultra and Mi Notebook Pro were rebranded RedmiBook Pro 15 and RedmiBook Pro 14, respectively. Hence, there’s a chance that the upcoming Xiaomi NoteBook Pro 120G could be a rebadged or a tweaked version of one of the RedmiBook Pro 2022 models.
We are looking forward to learning more about this laptop in the coming days through official teasers and leaks.
Xiaomi recently unveiled its foldable smartphone for the year, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2. While the first generation model from the brand receivedan average response, the company is likely hoping its second generation model, with a slimmer and more premium-looking design profile, manages to catch everyones attention.
We have already compared the two main flagships of 2022 – the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 vs the Galaxy Z Fold4. But there are multiple options for foldables in the Chinese market like the OPPO Find N which received a lot of media attention a few months back. So we thought it would be a good idea to compare the new Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 vs the OPPO Find N in this article.
Here’s a quick specs comparison between two slim foldables available in the market in 2022.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 vs OPPO Find N
Xiaomi Mix Fold 2
OPPO Find N
DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT
Unfolded: 161.1 x 144.7 x 5.4mm
Folded: 161.1 x 73.9 x 11.2mm
262 g
Unfolded: 132.6 x 140.2 x 8.0mm
Folded: 132.6 x 73 x 15.9mm | 275 g
DISPLAY
Foldable: 8.02-inch 2160 x 1914p
120Hz, HDR10+, Dolby Vision
Cover: 6.56 2520 x 1080p
120Hz, HDR10+, Dolby Vision
Foldable: 7.1-inch 1792 x 1920p
120Hz, HDR10+, Dolby Vision
Cover: 5.5 988 x 1972p
The two foldables adopt a different approach when it comes to their designs. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 comes with a much larger screen and consequently larger dimensions. However, it’s both thinner and lighter than the OPPO Find N, and by a considerable margin.
If we directly compare the dimensions, the Mix Fold 2 (161.1 x 144.7 x 5.4mm) is both taller and wider than the OPPO Find N (132.6 x 140.2 x 8.0mm). However, the Xiaomi foldable compensates for its larger dimensions with a much thinner profile (5.4mm unfolded and 11.2 mm folded vs 8mm unfolded and 15.9mm folded on the Find N). What’s also interesting is that the outer display on the Mix Fold 2 is wider than the Find N, putting it much closer to our standard smartphone displays.
As for their weights, the Mix Fold 2 weighs 262gms vs 275gms of the OPPO model.
Even their design philosophies are different. While the Mix Fold 2 comes with a boxier design with sharper corners (like the old Galaxy Note series), the Find N comes with rounded corners with a curvier profile.
Since both the phones feature an inward folding design, the final choice in this department would boil down to your personal preference. If you want a compact design with a curvier profile, go for the Find N, but if you want a foldable that’s slim and features a larger screen like a tablet, go for the Mix Fold 2.
Display
Owing to the larger dimensions of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, it boasts a much larger screen too. On the outside, it comes with a 120Hz HDR10+ 8-inch 1914 x 2160 pixel resolution display (LTPO2) with Schott UTG glass. As for the cover display, it has a 6.56-inch panel, again with 120Hz, 21:9 aspect ratio, and HDR10+, making it very close to our standard smartphone screen size.
In comparison, the OPPO Find N features a 7.1-inch foldable display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. But on paper, this LTP0 display is less bright than the Mix model. Also, the cover display is pretty compact at 5.46-inches with 988 x 1972 pixels resolution and does not feature a high refresh rate.
Clearly, the Mix Fold 2 outdoes the OPPO Find N in the display department, which isn’t surprising given that it’s a fairly new device.
Both foldables come with side-mounted fingerprint sensors.
Specs & Software
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is a 2022 smartphone and this is evident in its specifications. The biggest update to the device is in the processor department, now featuring the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chip, which is way faster and more efficient than the one found inside the Find N mode. The OPPO foldable is powered by the Snapdragon 888 running at a max frequency of 2.84 GHz.
As for their memory configuration, the Mix 2 Fold maxes out at 1TB ROM and 12GB of RAM while the Find N has a max configuration of 512GB ROM and 12GB RAM.
In the software department, the Mix Fold 2 runs on the newer Android 12-based MIUI Fold 13 OS. In comparison, the OPPO Find N is still running on Android 11 (customized by ColorOS 12). But it is worth adding that the Find N did get support for the Android 13 beta update and is expected to receive the new ColorOS 13 stable update in the coming months.
Both phones have features tweaked to take full advantage of their foldable form factor.
Camera
Both the foldables have pretty good camera setups. The Mix Fold 2 comes with a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera with OIS, another 8MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 13MP Ultra wide shooter. Note that these cameras are Leica optimized like its 12S series.
Similarly, the OPPO Find N comes with a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main camera, a 13 MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, and a 16 MP ultrawide camera. The Xiaomi foldable features a 20MP selfie camera while the OPPO Find N has two amazing 32 MP front cameras: one on the internal display and another one on the external panel.
Only a real-life camera comparison between the two phones will reveal if either of them has an advantage in the camera department. That said, both phones have pretty solid camera setups.
Battery
In the battery department, the two foldables feature the same 4500mAh capacity batteries. However, the Mix Fold 2 comes with a faster 67W wired charging. On the other hand, the Find N has a slower 33W charging support, but adds 15W wireless and reverse wireless charging support.
The wireless charging support justifies the thicker profile of the OPPO Foldable and having a feature like this would give it an advantage over the Mix foldable, despite its faster wired charging speeds.
Price
Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold 2 starts around 8,999 yuan (~$1,335) for the base 256GB storage, while the starting price tag of the OPPO Find N roughly translates into €1070/$1210. Given that the Xiaomi foldable is a brand new device, it’s pretty expensive to buy globally and retails for around $1700 via Giztop. On the other hand, the OPPO Find N retail for a much cheaper price tag globallyat around $1299.
If you are ready to shell out more for a top-end foldable, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 would be a good choice. However, the OPPO Find N is also a pretty competitive foldable, despite being older, and can save a significant amount of your money if you get it right now.
