The controller will come with a pair of additional grips for ease of use in the Bluetooth mode. Additionally, it appears that it will come in two color options – White and Black.

A previous report revealed that Asus is also planning on launching a new snap-on cooling fan accessory called the AeroActive Cooler 6. Nothing confirms the Phone (1) will be powered by the mid-range SD 778G+ chip

The soon-to-be-released Nothing Phone (1) has been confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 778G+ SoC. The Nothing Phone (1) is a transparent smartphone that is expected to be unveiled on July 12. The smartphone’s chipset seems to be the last puzzle to be unearthed for the much-hyped device.Nothing Phone (1) hands-on

The Nothing Phone (1) comes with a unique transparent design. Its images and videos have serenaded customers’ imagination since Nothing started releasing them. It has a Glyph interface consisting of 900 embedded LEDs. These lights up the phone during notifications, camera use, and so on. The Nothing Phone (1) will launch in Europe and the United Kingdom. The Nothing Phone (1) will most likely skip the US market, as per current feelers.

It is rumored that an enthusiastic customer has paid $3,064 via StockX to be among the selected first 100 owners of the phone. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G+ chipset is a mid-range processor and is custom-tuned for the Phone (1). It is less powerful than the premium Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. It remains to be seen how the stated SD 778G+ chip will place the Nothing Phone (1) performance-wise.

The Snapdragon 778G+ chip features wireless charging and reverse wireless charging unlike the base chip the SD 778G. So, it straddles between the mid-range and flagship cadre due to a few features. The choice of a mid-range chipset for the Phone (1) was driven by performance, power consumption, and cost considerations.

Nothing’s co-founder Carl Pei feels the Phone (1) meets all these considerations. While a specific price has not been announced yet for the Phone (1), we expect to know more in the coming days. It is however rumored that the Phone (1) could be priced under $500. The company claims more than 100,000 customers are on the pre-order waiting list.

Apple exec calls out Samsung for stealing their technology

An Apple executive has apparently slammed Samsung Electronics for stealing their technology. The official stated that the latter has practically stolen its iPhone for its smartphones.

Apple

The news arrives from Wall Street Journal‘s Joanna Stern who shared a new documentary (Via MacRumors). This documentary arrives ahead of the iPhone’s 15th anniversary and talks about the evolution of the Cupertino based giant’s iPhone. In the documentary, there is a video interview of Apple’s marketing chief Greg Joswiak, iPhone co creator Tony Fadell, and a family of iPhone users as well. One part of the interview has a brief mention about Android smartphones featuring larger displays year ahead of Apple.

Joswiak was also asked about how he felt about the impacts of Samsung and other Android smartphone makers in the market. To this, Joswiak stated that they were “annoying” and went on to accuse them for poorly copying Apple’s technology. He stated that “They were annoying. And they were annoying because, as you know, they ripped off our technology. They took the innovations that we had created and created a poor copy of it, and just put a bigger screen around it. So, yeah, we were none too pleased.”

Back in 2013, the South Korean brand had launched its flagship Galaxy S4 that featured a 5 inch display. Around the same time, the iPhone 5 was the direct rival and only had a 4 inch display in comparison. In the near future, iPhones with larger displays were released in the market. Although, Apple had also sued Samsung for patent infringement based on the latter’s phones copying iPhone’s design for the Galaxy series of smartphones.

After installing the ColorOS 12 update, users should look out for loads of exciting features and changes. The update brings features including but not limited to a new wallpaper-based theming system, Screen Translate, Canvas AOD, Android 12’s Privacy Dashboard, and privacy indicators.

If you own Oppo A76, you can apply for the ColorOS 12 update by heading over to Settings > Software Update and tapping on the gear icon on the top right corner. On approval of the application, you will receive the new software in the form of an OTA update.

Back in 2021, Oppo updated its software update policy. According to the new policy, Oppo A-series smartphones will only receive one major android update. This means the ColorOS 12 is the first and final Android update for Oppo A76. However, the phone will continue receiving security updates for 3 years.

Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro will feature 50MP Sony IMX707 camera sensor: Official

Xiaomi is all set to launch the Xiaomi 12S series in China on July 4. Ahead of that, the company is teasing the features of the phones. After revealing the design of the Pro model yesterday, the firm has disclosed the primary camera of all three handsets. We have covered the main camera of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra separately. Let’s take a look at the camera of the Xiaomi 12S and the Xiaomi 12S Pro in this article.

Xiaomi 12S Series Sony Camera Sensors

According to the official Weibo accounts of Xiaomi Phone and Lei Jun, the upcoming Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro will utilize a 50MP Sony IMX707 camera sensor. For the unaware, this is the same sensor, which is present on the Xiaomi 12 Pro.

This means the Xiaomi 12S Pro is not getting a hardware improvement for its main camera. But the Xiaomi 12S is getting an upgrade since the Xiaomi 12 has a comparatively smaller 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, which is commonly found on handsets from the Oplus group (Oppo, Oneplus, and Realme).

Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have on the camera hardware of the Xiaomi 12S series. On the software front, these smartphones will be using image processing co-tuned with Leica, which is touted to be the key selling point.

As we are still days away from the launch event, we expect Xiaomi to shed more details on the Xiaomi 12S lineup in the coming days. In the meantime, let us know your expectations in the comment section below.
