Earlier this month, Pavel Durov, who is the founder and CEO of Telegram confirmed that a premium plan for telegram is in the works. Now, the company has officially debuted the said premium plan. The paid tier is priced at Rs 469 in India and will cost between $5 – $6 in the United States. So, let’s take a look at all the new perks it brings along.
The first major feature coming with the premium tier is the ability to send files up to 4GB in size. This gives users an additional 2GB of wiggle room over the existing 2GB limit on the free version of Telegram. The premium also allows faster downloads with the official blog post saying “You can access everything in your unlimited cloud storage as fast as your network can keep up.”
Premium tier users will also get an increase in the limits of things they can do on Telegram. They can follow up to 1,000 channels, create up to 20 chat folders with up to 200 chats each, add a fourth account to any Telegram app, pin 10 chats in the main list, and much more. One interesting feature offered with the premium tier is the Voice-to-Text feature which is capable of converting voice messages into text messages making it pretty convenient for instances when you receive a voice note that you can currently listen to. Other than that, users get access to exclusive premium stickers, an animated profile picture, a premium badge, and much more. And of course, premium users will also stop seeing ads that sometimes appear in public groups in certain countries.
OPPO announced the OPPO Find X3 and Find X3 Pro in the first half of 2021 in China. In the second half of the year, it unveiled the Find X3 Pro Photographer Edition. It appears that the company will adopt the same strategy this year as well. According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, OPPO will be launching a new variant of the Find X5 series in the second half of 2022.
The tipster did not reveal any details of the upcoming Find X5 series phone. Most smartphone OEMs in China. are working on Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 powered flagship phones. Hence, it is likely that the device may come equipped with the SD+8G1 chipset and the company’s self-developed MariSilicon X chip.
OPPO Find X5
In addition, the tipster has speculated that OPPO could be working on its first clamshell with a foldable screen or the successor to the OPPO Find N foldable phone. It is advisable to wait for further reports to know OPPO’s plans for the remaining months of this year.
OPPO has recently launched the OPPO Reno 8 series of smartphones in China. Rumors are rife that the global markets will be receiving the Reno 8 series this month. China received the OPPO Reno 8 Pro+ with Dimensity 8100 chipset and the OPPO Reno 8 Pro with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
Rumors have it that these devices will be rebranded as OPPO Reno 8 Pro and Reno 8 in India and possibly in other markets. An OPPO device with a CPH2357 model number has appeared in the database of the Geekbench benchmarking site. Since the device is equipped with the D8100 chipset, it seems that it could be the global version of the Reno 8 Pro. The Geekbench appearance suggests that the company could be internally testing its performance before its official announcement.
The Meta-owned instant messaging platform WhatsApp has brought many new features and changes in recent months. The most recent changes include message reactions, and the extended 2GB file sharing limit. Now, WhatsApp has rolled out more new features, so let’s check them out.
Admin Approval
The first feature is called Admin Approval which has been launched to increase the moderation capabilities of group administrators. With this new feature, the group admin will get a notification to approve the addition of a member to a group. If a group has multiple admins, they will need to individually activate it to receive the approval notifications.
Who can see profile picture, status updates
WhatsApp is finally rolling out highly requested features that will allow users more privacy. Previously, users had three options on who can see their profile picture, status updates, or last seen. These options included everyone, my contacts, and nobody. Now, the app is offering the ability for users to choose who in their contact list can access this information. If users want a particular contact to not be able to see their profile picture, status, or last seen, they can simply add them to the exclusion list.
Group audio calls – Muting people, added participant
WhatsApp recently increased the maximum capacity of group call participants to 32, and now, the app has introduced new features to polish the user experience. The users now get the ability to mute a fellow participant in a group audio call. Other than that, another feature will now notify the users who are already on a group call when a new user joins the call.
All of these above-mentioned features are currently rolling out in various regions.
The China version of the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ comes with the Dimensity 8100 Max SoC, while the Reno 8 Pro and the Reno 8 come with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and Dimensity 1300 chipsets respectively. Now, ahead of its global launch, the Reno 8 Pro has been spotted on the Geekbench database suggesting that the device will feature an entirely different chipset from the Chinese variant.
According to the listing, the Reno 8 Pro global variant has the model number CPH2357. It is powered by a chipset featuring an octa-core CPU with four cores clocked at 2.00GHz and the remaining four clocked at 2.85GHz. The SoC also brings along the Mali-G610 MC6 GPU making it pretty obvious that it is the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 (or 8100 Max) chipset.
Other than that, the listing reveals that the device has 12GB of RAM and runs Android 12 out of the box. Coming to the benchmark results, the device scores 898 points in the single-core test and 3555 in the multi-core test of Geekbench 5.
An earlier report from tipster PassionateGeekz has revealed that the Reno 8 Pro+ will not be launching in the Indian market. This could also be the case for the global variant, which is likely why the Reno 8 Pro model has the Dimensity 8100 (Max) chipset instead of the Snapdragon Gen 1 chipset.
Going with the possibility that the Reno 8 Pro+ model will be launched as the Reno 8 Pro global variant, we can expect a 6.7-inch Full HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 950 nits of peak brightness. The device will likely combine the Dimensity 8100 Max chipset with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
For the camera system, the device will feature a triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro unit. On the front, the smartphone will have a 2MP Sony IMX709 selfie snapper, and the device will also likely come equipped with the MariSilicon X NPU. Other than that, we can expect the device to come with a 4500mAh battery unit with 80W fast charging.
Samsung‘s 110-inch MicroLED TV which was announced in 2020 has now been launched in China. Samsung says it sold out the first batch of the TV when it went on sale Monday after it opened reservations last month. The giant MicroLED TV is priced at ¥1,049,999 ($156,892).
The Samsung 110” MicroLED TV offers an excellent alternative to OLED panels. It is not a Mini-LED and offers improved brightness picture quality than an OLED. The TV has a perfect screen ratio of approximately 100%, offers 4K ultra-HD resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports HDR 10+, variable refresh rates, and 2,000 nits maximum brightness.
The monster Samsung 110” MicroLED TV comes with a Micro-A 1 processor, 6.2.2 CH Channel support, and 100W audio output. The 24.9mm thick TV can be installed on the wall and supports Bixby AI Voice Assistant. Logistics company UPS has commenced testing its mini electric delivery vans as a cleaner alternative to its ICE trucks. These electric vans which are somewhat four-wheeled e-bikes come on the heels of similar moves by the USPS. The US testing follows similar tests carried out by UPS in Europe earlier this year.
The new UPS mini electric vans use a mid-drive electric motor paired with a set of bicycle pedals. The quadricycle is called the eQuad produced by Fernhay. The eQuad is a four-wheeled e-assist cycle designed for pickups and deliveries in places where a larger van need not reach. It is 33 inches wide and less than 3 meters long. Its versatility means it can enter places where a bicycle can. The UPS eQuad will therefore be useful for last-mile deliveries quickly and more efficiently. The cargo space is up to 6 feet long and is swappable as a modular system.
The Fernhay eQuad could prove a great asset in congested urban settings and also useful for small cargo deliveries. It is designed to share the bike lane with other bicycles. The low load area and high seat allow the rider to have greater visibility around the eQuad. The testing is being carried out in New York. The success of the UPS eQuad delivery vans in New York will see the program extending to other cities. There is no word yet on timelines for the completion of testing of the eQuad in New York.
It is very rare to find a waterproof phone in the budget segment. The most advanced IP certifications are often reserved for the most expensive flagships due to the high costs necessary in order to make a phone waterproof. But there are a few affordable phones with these certifications that you can buy in the current market, at least if you live in certain regions. Among these, there is the new OPPO Reno 7A, announced a bunch of hours ago. Another device with a water resistant design is the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G sold in the global market: this device reached very interesting street prices and a lot of people are choosing it not only because of its water resistance but also because of its specifications. This is a comparison between the specifications of the OPPO Reno 7A and the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G.
Starting with the design and the build quality, the OPPO Reno 7A is the clear winner in this duo. First of all, it is thinner, lighter, and even more compact than the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G. Its design is more beautiful, with more suggestive color variants and a punch-hole display with a hole placed in the upper left corner. Further, it has better water resistance: thanks to the IP68 certification, it is waterproof and you can put it underwater up to 1.5 meters deep for a max time of 30 minutes. Instead, the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G comes with the inferior IP67 certification allowing you to put the phone underwater just 1 meter deep and for a max time of 30 minutes. So if you are looking for the best phone in terms of water resistance, you should go for the OPPO Reno 7A.
Display
Both these phones are equipped with AMOLED displays, but the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is slightly better. They come with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, as well as an in-display fingerprint reader, but the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G has a higher refresh rate of 120 Hz instead of just 90 Hz. The A52s also comes with stereo speakers instead of the mono speaker found on its rival. However, you should consider one important thing: the Samsung mid-ranger has a virtual proximity sensor, while the OPPO Reno 7A has a physical sensor. This is an important thing because a lot of people experienced issues or poor performance with virtual proximity sensors during these last years, so you should take it into consideration before making your choice, at least in my opinion.
Specs & Software
If your goal is to get the most advanced hardware department, then you should opt for the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G. First of all, it comes with a better processor: the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G built at 6 nm and running at a max frequency of 2.4 GHz. The SoC is paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage that can be furtherly expanded with a micro SD slot. The OPPO Reno 7A has an inferior Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset built at 6 nm with a max frequency of 2.2 GHz. Further, the memory configuration is inferior: it only comes in a single variant with just 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Even though the OPPO Reno 7A debuted in 2022 and the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is from 2021, both these phones run Android 11.
Camera
The best camera phone in this comparison is the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G and it can be considered a very good camera phone. It has a quad camera setup composed of a 64 MP main sensor with OIS, a 12 MP ultrawide camera, and a pair of 5 MP sensors for macros and depth calculation. The front camera is a great 32 MP snapper that can record 4K videos at 30 fps: note that even several flagships are not able to record 4K videos with the front camera. The OPPO Reno 7A has a disappointing 48 MP main sensor paired with a pair of 2 MP cameras for macros and depth, it lacks an ultrawide camera, and its front camera is an inferior 16 MP snapper. There is no way for it to compete with the Samsung mid-ranger.
Battery
The OPPO Reno 7A and the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G come with the same battery capacity: 4500 mAh. Given that they both feature AMOLED displays and they come with similar chipsets in terms of energy consumption, the battery life should not differ so much. But the charging speeds are different: the A52s 5G charges quicker thanks to 25W fast charging.
Price
The OPPO Reno 7A is priced at €320/$336 and it is only available in Japan, while the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G can be found for less than €280/$294 globally (prices vary depending on the market). The Samsung mid-ranger wins the comparison, but note that the Reno 7A has better water resistance.
Automaker Audi has entered a partnership with Nunam to transform India’s rickshaws into electric vehicles using old batteries. The German-Indian startup Nunam will provide technology to help create both the electric rickshaws and charging infrastructure. Nunam says that the choice of the rickshaws for this program is to optimize the end-of-life EV batteries.
The Audi-Nunam partnership will see Nunam using Audi used EV batteries to transform the rickshaws into electric-powered vehicles. Nunam will also provide greener charging stations for the new e-rickshaws across India. The Audi-Nunam e-rickshaw concept will be showcased at the 2022 Greentech Festival in Berlin, Germany.
Prodip Chatterjee, Nunam’s co-founder says end-of-live EV batteries are especially useful for rickshaws. The rickshaw is used mainly for intra-city and rural transportation, it is not too heavy and requires minimal power. The power, range, and weight requirements are therefore at the heart of the Nunam initiative. The company also targets women in the new e-rickshaw distribution in India. Nunam’s initiative is driven massively by environmental considerations. The non-profit startup will use solar panels to generate power in its charging stations. The generated energy will be stored on Audi’s batteries.
This new green initiative could make a significant impact in India. Autorickshaws are a major contributor to carbon emissions in the country. Therefore, providing emission-free options for these through the e-rickshaw will be impactful. Audi’s Rudiger Recknagel says Nunam is sharing its knowledge to motivate cleaner approaches to EV batteries globally. There are no details yet on when the e-rickshaw concept will transit to production.

Last week, Tecno launched the Camon 19 series of smartphones consisting of four models in total. These are the Camon 19 Pro 5G, Camon 19 Pro, Camon 19 Neo, and the Camon 19. So what’s special and unique about these smartphones? Let’s find out.
Camera system (Samsung RGBW sensor)
The Camon 19 Pro 5G is the first device to debut with Samsung’s ISOCELL RGBW color filter sensor which includes a white sub-pixel to the existing universal RGB configurations on phones.
The white sub-pixel allows the sensor to capture more light while avoiding damage to the red, green, and blue sub-pixels. By capturing more light, the sensor is able to produce brighter and clearer images in well-lit as well as low-light conditions.
Tecno has attached this sensor to a 64-megapixel camera system that has Tecno’s Glass + Plastic (G+P) lens. The G + P technology replaces plastic lenses with a crystal glass lens that enhances light intake by more than 208%. These lenses match well with Samsung’s RGBW sensor providing it with ample light to create clearer images.
The back panel
The Camon 19 series features a clean-looking design with flat edges and flat rear panels. But what stands out the most in this aspect is the camera module. The Camon 19 series features a vertically aligned dual-camera island design. The top cutout houses the primary cameras while the bottom module features the auxiliary cameras. This design is quite similar to camera modules featured on Huawei and Honor smartphones.
All of the Camon 19 series except for the Camon 19 Neo have their auxiliary cameras placed horizontally. This makes the lower module appear like the eyes of a panda if you go for a color option with a white module.
Other than the camera module, the smartphone offers color options usually seen on OPPO devices. The gradient blue called Polar Blue and glossy black called Eco Black are both quite refined and give the device a premium look.
The Front Panel
There is no denying that the Camon 19 Pro 5G is a pretty-looking device with its tapered edges, flat back, clean-looking camera module, and premium colors. However, the front panel is also a standout feature of the smartphone as it is surrounded by razor-thin bezels that measure just 0.98 mm. These thin bezels surround the 6.8-inch FHD+ screen on three sides, while the chin of the smartphone is a bit more prominent.
Bezels this thin are usually seen on the most expensive flagship devices that come with an OLED panel, however, Tecno provides it on the Camon 19 Pro 5G which has an LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Ever since its launch back in November 2020, the PlayStation 5 has been a rare sight on store shelves across the globe. This is due to Sony’s ongoing struggle with supply constraints, chip shortages, and more.
The situation is made even worse by scalpers buying up the available units and reselling them at huge markups. However, Indian customers looking to buy the PS5 will soon get an opportunity to purchase it at MSRP.
The PlayStation 5 is scheduled for a restock tomorrow i.e. June 21st, 2022 at 12 PM IST. The console will be made available to pre-order via online retailers like ShopAtSC, Flipkart, Amazon, Croma, Vijay Sales, Reliance Digital, and Games The Shop. Keep in mind that the Sony PlayStation 5 is in high demand right now, therefore, the restocked inventory likely won’t last for too long once the listings go live on the various retailers’ websites and stores. So be sure to set your reminders for tomorrow if you want to get your hands on one.
Coming to the pricing of the console, the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition is the lowest-priced one with an MSRP of Rs. 39,990 in India. The PlayStation 5 on the other hand is priced at Rs 49,990. The difference between the two is that the cheaper model lacks the disc drive, making it a digital-only console.

A couple of weeks back, Oppo held a developer conference in China to shed information on the upcoming ColorOS 13 based on Android 13. Followed by this event, a prolific Chinese leaker known as Digital Chat Station shared a few screenshots of the yet-to-release software on Weibo earlier today. He also disclosed the beta program timeline.
Digital Chat Station shared two Weibo posts on the topic of ColorOS 13 a few hours back. He has taken down (removed pictures) the one with screenshots but the other one with beta timeline details is still live.
Thankfully Chinese media like ITHome reported on the leak before the images were deleted. As per the screenshots, ColorOS 13 will bring improvements to folders and widgets.
Users will be able to expand the folder size on the home screen. Thanks to this, apps can be opened quickly by tapping their icons from outside the folder itself.
Further, Oppo introduced widgets with ColorOS 12. It is possible to place them on the left page as well as the home screen, just like on iOS. With ColorOS 13, the company will be adding support for more widgets, says the leaker.
Finally, the tipster also mentions that the system UX design will be similar to the now-defunct Oneplus’ HydrogenOS. Therefore, Oneplus users will feel at home.
Talking about the development, Digital Chat Station says that the internal testing is better than that of ColorOS 12. Also, the process is a month ahead of the previous generation.
Hence, the external internal testing is expected to begin in July based on Android 13 Beta 3. This will be later followed by public testing in August.
As far as the official launch is concerned, we think that the conference will be held in August since that’s when public testing is said to begin.

Motorola is set to announce a new tablet in the market soon. The company has previously launched Moto Tab G series models in the past, and now, it appears that another new model will be joining its tablet portfolio.
According to a MySmartPricereport, the new Moto Tab G62 might be released soon, as the upcoming Android tablet was spotted in Google Play Supported Devices website. Notably, the listing on the Google database also confirmed its official Tab G62 moniker and its model number XT2261-1 and XT2261-2. The former is the 4G enabled version, while the latter is the LTE only model.
Unfortunately, apart from its name and model number, no other details regarding the tablet was shared. So, its unknown what specifications and features the Tab G62 will launch with as of right now. Although, based on its name, it will likely sit somewhere between the two previously launched Motorola tablets, namely the Moto Tab G20 and Tab G70. For those unaware, the Tab G70 was the company’s high end tablet that was launched in India.
Tab G70
It sports a large 11 inch display that had a 2K resolution. Under the hood, the tablet was equipped with a MediaTek Helio G90T and was powered by a large 7,700mAh battery pack that supported 20W fast charging out of the box. The tablet ran on Android 11 OS and even offered a quad speaker system that supported Dolby Atmos. So, we can expect somewhat similar and possibly even watered down specifications on the Tab G62.
