Xiaomi just launched the POCO F4 GT in the global market with an incredible price tag. Thanks to the launch promo, you need less than €500 to purchase a phone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, while it will cost €599 when the promo ends. We believe that, at least in the European market, the POCO F4 GT currently has only two rivals in the flagship segment: the Realme GT 2 Pro and the Motorola Edge 30 Pro. They are both more expensive as there is no SD8G1 phone at that incredible price, but they also offer something more. After comparing the latest Xiaomi flagship killer to the Realme GT 2 Pro, here is a comparison between the specifications of the POCO F4 GT and the Motorola Edge 30 Pro.

Design
Do you prefer a sober design or do you like original and gaming-centric aesthetics? If your answer is the former, then go for the Motorola Edge 30 Pro. But if you do not mind having an aggressive design, then you should opt for the Xiaomi POCO F4 GT. First of all, this handset comes with premium materials, unlike the Motorola Edge 30 Pro: it has a glass back and an aluminum frame. Further, it has two physical magnetic pop-up gaming triggers which can be extracted from the phone during the most competitive gaming sessions. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro has a water repellent design, but unfortunately, it is made of polycarbonate.
Display
The displays of these two phones are very close and it is hard to establish which one provides the best quality. The POCO F4 GT has a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution, one billion colors, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and the HDR10+ certification. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro has an OLED panel with the same specifications, except for the fact that it comes with a higher 144 Hz refresh rate. Despite sporting AMOLED panels, both phones are equipped with side-mounted fingerprint readers. They also come with stereo speakers, but the POCO F4 GT has four speakers instead of just two. Note that the panel of the POCO flagship is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, while the Motorola has Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Specs & Software
The performance provided by these two flagships should be more or less the same. They are both powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile platform: the best chipset by Qualcomm built at 4 nm and running at a max frequency of 3 GHz. The SoC is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM. Note that the Motorola Edge 30 Pro has a configuration with 512 GB of internal storage, while you can get maximum storage of 256 GB with the POCO F4 GT. The handsets run Android 12 out of the box with a customized user interface on top and they will get at least two major updates.
Camera
The most important advantage of the Motorola Edge 30 Pro over the POCO F4 GT is the camera setup. It has a triple rear camera including a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, a 50 MP ultrawide camera, and a 2 MP depth sensor. It even comes with a stunning 60 MP front camera supporting video recording with a 4K resolution. The POCO F4 GT has an inferior and midrange-class 64 MP main sensor paired with a non-impressive 8 MP ultrawide camera and a 2 MP macro lens.
The battery of the Motorola Edge 30 Pro has a slightly bigger capacity with 4800 mAh and, unlike the POCO F4 GT, it supports wireless charging. On the other hand, the POCO F4 GT comes with a faster charging technology, thanks to a 120W power against just 68W.
Price
As already mentioned above, the starting price of the POCO F4 GT is €599/$630 for the 8/128 GB configuration, while the starting listing price of the Motorola Edge 30 Pro is €799/$843. The Edge 30 Pro is actually a better flagship thanks to better cameras and wireless charging, but you can get something similar while saving €200: which one would you pick?

Sony’s Xperia 1 IV has been in the news for a while now, however, the phone’s launch date wasn’t confirmed. Now, Sony has officially announced a launch event this month where we are expected to see the flagship Sony Xperia 1 IV.
Sony has shared a teaser video confirming that the brand will be holding a launch on May 11 at 4 PM Japan time (12:30 PM IST/7 AM UTC). While the company hasn’t explicitly mentioned the exact product it’s going to release at the event, the teaser video does hint at a flagship Xperia phone.
This flagship phone to arrive is most likely the Sony Xperia 1 IV. Just like previous iterations, the Xperia 1 IV is also expected to offer premium specifications.
The smartphone passed the Geekbench certification recently and it scored 1204 points in the single-core department and 3352 points in the multi-core department. It has the model number XQ-CT54 and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. It has 12GB of RAM and has Android 12 OS.
While the design is yet to be officially confirmed, the phone’s concept renders were surfaced by LetsGoDigital. The device is tipped to feature a 6.5-inch display with a 21:9 aspect ratio. It is expected to come with a 120Hz refresh rate and 4K resolution. It will have Gorilla Glass Victus protection and HDR support.
As for the optics, the phone is said to come with ZEISS branded sensors. It is expected to have a triple camera system with the inclusion of ultra-wide and telephoto sensors. The phone is expected to come with a side-facing fingerprint scanner and pack a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
Nokia announced the entry-level Nokia C200 smartphone at the CES 2022 event held in January. Now, the smartphone is officially available to purchase in the US at a budget price. The device comes with a V-notch display, Android 12 OS, and a big battery that offers a two-day battery life.
The Nokia C200 is priced at $79.99 and is available in a 3GB RAM + 32GB storage option. It is a prepaid phone locked onto the TracFone network and is currently listed online in the US. It can be picked up in the Gray shade.
For that price, the Nokia C200 appears to be one of the cheapest Android 12 phones on the US market. But before you buy, do remember that it is a prepaid model from a carrier.
Coming to the specifications, the Nokia C200 offers a 6.1-inch LCD display with an HD+ resolution off 720 x 1560 pixels. It is a V-notch panel with a noticeable chin that has a Nokia branding on it. It comes with a 13MP main single camera at the back with auto-focus support. Accompanying it is an LED flash. On the front, it flaunts an 8MP selfie shooter.
Under the hood, it is powered by an unknown quad-core processor and has a 3GB/32GB configuration. It is probably the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset as it was announced with that chip at the CES event. The smartphone packs a 4,000mAh battery that is said to offer up to two-day of battery. It has an IP52 rating for water and dust resistance.
OnePlus appears to have a launch of a budget phone in the pipeline as a new OnePlus phone has just emerged on the Geekbench certification website revealing key details. It is expected to be a Nord series phone considering its specifications. Let’s have a look.
The OnePlus smartphone has a model number of CPH2381. It has scored 690 points in the single-core department and 1742 points in the multi-core department. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 octa-core SoC which has six cores clocked at 1.80Ghz and the two cores clocked at 2.21GHz. It has 8GB of RAM and boots on Android 12 OS.
In addition to this, the smartphone was also certified on India’s BIS certification website, which does hint at an forthcoming India launch. The phone was also seen on the Camera F5 website and it revealed the front and rear cameras of the phone.
The smartphone has a 64MP main lens with an f/1.8 aperture. This sensor will be able to produce 16MP pixel-binned shots. The rear camera will have Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). On the front, the phone has a 16MP selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture. This lens will produce 4MP pixel-binned images.
Other details of the phone are yet to be known. The phone’s moniker is also not confirmed, however, since the phone has passed three of these certifications, we expect the launch to be near.
A Reddit post has provided some pictures of the Google Pixel Watch on a man’s wrist. This adds to the hype and speculation surrounding the Pixel Watch. Although there is no foolproof verification that the device was indeed the unreleased Pixel Watch, it is worth scrutinizing.
The Reddit user tagtech414 who provided the wrist pictures of the alleged Pixel Watch has previously shared images of the Pixel Watch. The real identity of the tipster remains shrouded but he could possibly be connected with the Google Pixel Watch project. The tipster is also yet to show us a picture of the device switched on for us to view the display. The latest pictures are the first to show the device strapped to a wrist. The tipster says the strap of the Pixel Watch seems difficult to connect for the first time. He however says that the connection feels solid after it is strapped. Redditor tagtech414 also says that the device is very comfortable on the wrists.
Pixel Watch
1 of 8
The strap of the alleged Pixel Watch was described by tagtech414 as a soft silicone with good flex. It is also capable of masking fingerprints or oil marks, that are not visible instantly. The band was said to be 20mm wide and bears a close semblance with the Fitbit Charge 5. It should be noted that the Pixel Watch has a similar sensors lineup as the Fitbit Charge 5. The authenticity of the Pixel Watch is still clouded in uncertainty on the basis of the tipster’s post. There are still some loose ends in the tipster’s claims. When formal renders of the device are released, that’s when we can properly situate the new pictures.
A new Sony LinkBuds model seems close to its unveiling, according to a recent leak. The Sony LinkBuds S bears some semblance to the LinkBuds but comes with ANC and Ambient modes.
The Sony LinkBuds are designed for extended use but noise cancellation functionality is absent. The new leak indicates a similar but possibly cheaper model that offers added features. As per the leak, the Sony LinkBuds S, unlike its predecessor, will not come with a hole in the middle of each ear tip. Therefore ambient sound is not allowed unimpeded. Instead, the LinkBuds S features an Ambient Mode to achieve ambient sound access. The Ambient Mode will be triggered automatically to switch between ANC mode and Ambient. Essentially, the buds will learn the user’s behavior to know the switching preferences.

The Chinese maker unveiled the Huawei Mate X back in 2019, followed by the Mate Xs in 2020, it was succeeded by the Mate X2 and X2 4G last year. Now, the brand is following up with a release for its next foldable phone, the Huawei Mate Xs 2. The company has already set a release date for the phone and in this article, we’ll take a look at how to watch the smartphone’s launch event.
How to Watch the Huawei Mate Xs 2 launch event

What to Expect from the Huawei Mate Xs 2
Huawei hasn’t explicitly revealed all the details of the foldable phone. However, the teaser posters have confirmed that the phone will come with an outward folding design. This seems to be an interesting move as the predecessor came with an inward folding screen, but the fans wanted an outward folding screen. And now with the Mate Xs 2, fans will finally get the outward foldable design.
In addition to the teasers, a Chinese tipster shared the renders of the foldable smartphone. Thanks to the renders, we know that the device will come with a punch-hole display. It will be a wide panel, however, the screen size is still unknown.
It will feature a triple camera system, and as seen in previous generation Mate X models, this too will come with a vertical hinge that’ll offer a grip to hold and keep the camera sensors. It will feature a 50MP main lens, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, and an 8MP telephoto unit.
Under the hood, it is expected to come with either the Kirin 9000 4G SoC or Snapdragon 888 4G chipset. As for the battery, it will pack a 4,500mAh cell with support for 6W rapid charging technology. The phone will boot on HarmonyOS 2.0.1 out of the box. Lastly, the Huawei Mate Xs 2 will launch in Black, White, and Purple colors.

The smartphone has flat edges and appears to be a bit on the thick side like other Xiaomi 12 series smartphones.
Coming to the front, it has a flat screen with even thin bezels going around. The screen also has a sizable punch-hole for the front camera.

Under the hood, the device will house a Snapdragon 778G SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. As revealed by the FCC certification, the device will likely come in three configurations: 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB.
