Two photos shared by Lenovo executives on Weibo have further illuminated some of the dark patches relating to the Lenovo Legion Pad. The images indicate that the Legion Pad will be a pretty small tablet with a focus on gaming applications. The images shared on Weibo were the front and the back of the tablet which also had the Legion branding.
Earlier rumors had put the size of the Lenovo Legion Pad at 8 inches and these new images seem to support the claim. To put the size of the Legion Pad in perspective, the Lenovo Legion 2 Pro smartphone has a 6.92-inch display. The absence of physical controls on the tablet gives it an edge over the unreleased, 7-inch screen-packing Lenovo Legion Play, which has built-in D-pads, joysticks, and other gaming control buttons.
Gaming-focused tablets are a rarity and the Lenovo Legion Pad may ride on the crest of its compact design for a share of the gaming market. The device will most likely be powered by either of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon premium chips – the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or the Snapdragon 666, although this remains speculative. Other specs details are still lacking at this time, as well as availability details.

Neckband headsets have turned out to be a popular headset design, perhaps due to the ease of storage which ensures they don’t get lost easily. Indian audio accessory manufacturer boAt has got a number of them under its belt and just a couple of days back, the Rockerz 330 Pro was launched in India in partnership with Canadian singer and rapper AP Dhillon. The brand has now announced the Rockerz 333 Pro. The two have the same features and design but the difference is that the 333 Pro comes with braided wires. Also, the Rockerz 330 Pro is sold on Amazon while the Rockerz 333 Pro is sold exclusively on Flipkart.
The earbuds share a design with the Rockerz 333 that was launched earlier in the year but the endurance is twice that of the Rockerz 333 which delivers 30 hours of playback on a single charge. The new earbuds also feature what boAT calls ASAP fast charging that can offer up to 20 hours of playback after only 10 minutes of charging.
The Rockerz 333 Pro equally comes with 10mm drivers as well as ENx technology that can deliver exceptional voice quality. The design also includes magnetic earbuds that ensure the two buds don’t keep dangling around your neck when not in use.
In terms of design, the boAt Rockerz 333 Pro adopts a lightweight, minimalistic design. The headset also comes with an IPX5 water and sweat resistance rating which makes it suitable for use during workout sessions. In addition, the neckband delivers in-line playback and volume controls.
Talking of the pricing and availability, the boAt Rockerz 333 Pro carries a price tag of Rs. 1,499 ($20). The neckband will be available in Active Black and Navy Blue colours.
Xiaomi is India’s largest smart TV brand. The company’s television offers a unique software experience in the form of PatchWall. The firm is known for updating its TVs with new features every now and then. Select Mi and Redmi televisions have now started receiving a new system update with an interesting feature.
Xiaomi Mi QLED TV 4K 55
All the TVs sold by Xiaomi in India run Android TV with PatchWall content aggregation service. Hence, they come with Google Assistant by default. In fact, it is the only smart home platform available on these televisions.
The company is now changing this by introducing the ‘Works with Alexa’ app for select TV models. The application enables users to control Amazon Alexa-powered through their televisions.
The app is currently being rolled out to the Redmi Smart TV X series and Mi QLED TV 4K 55 via a software update. This system update arrives with build numbers R21.10.29.3261 and R21.10.29.3261 for the former and the latter respectively.
Apart from bringing the Alexa application, the latest update also bumps up the security patch level.
The announcement of this software update comesdirectly from Sudeep Sahu, the head of the TV category at Xiaomi India. He says that the update will be rolled out in batches.
If you have any of the above-mentioned televisions and have received the update, then do let us know your experience in the comment section below.

MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition update is being rolled out to multiple Xiaomi group devices worldwide since August. The latest phones to receive this new software update are POCO X3 GT and Redmi 9 Prime.
POCO X3 GT
Xiaomi is expected to unveil MIUI 13 at the Xiaomi 12 series launch conference later this month. Ahead of that, the company has sped up its delivery of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition.
POCO X3 GT and Redmi 9 Prime are the newest handsets to get access to the current fresh version of MIUI.
The update is live for the global variant of the POCO device with build number V12.5.7.0.RKPMIXM. Whereas, the Redmi phone, which is sold in India gets the update with build number V12.5.2.0.RJCINXM.
The original versions of these smartphones called Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G and Redmi 9 have already got the update in China a while back. The remaining regional variants of these handsets should also start receiving the update in the coming days.
As usual, the latest system update for the above-mentioned devices is being pushed out in batches. This means it will take some time to reach every unit. Anyway, all users should get the update.
The Redmi Note 11T 5G was launched late last month in India as the successor to the Redmi Note 10T 5G, which debuted earlier this year as the first 5G-enabled Redmi Note series phone. It will be going on sale on 7th December for the first time through Amazon and Mi.com, starting at a price of ₹15,999.
But of course, the Redmi Note 11T 5G isn’t the only phone you can grab at this price range, so we’ll be pitching it up here against other offerings in the segment – the realme 8 and Redmi Note 10 Pro – to see if it’s worth your money.
Redmi Note 11T 5G specs overview
Let’s start off by taking a quick look at the specifications of the Redmi Note 11T 5G alone. The device has an FHD+ 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz adaptive refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and Gorilla Glass protection. It is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G chipset – a decent processor capable of handling much more over your day-to-day tasks – that’s paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
For photography, the Redmi Note 11T 5G has a dual-camera setup at the rear comprised of a 50-megapixel primary and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. Upfront, there’s a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. All of the device’s components get their juice from a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. Other non-essential but good-to-have stuff includes an IR blaster and an X-axis linear motor.
Redmi Note 11T 5G vs realme 8 5G
When put up against the realme 8 5G that starts at ₹15,499, the Redmi Note 11T 5G is a clear winner. It’s got a newer 50MP camera sensor that should result in better images, a noticeably more powerful processor (Dimensity 810 vs 700), stereo speakers, and much faster charging (33W vs 18W). There’s even an IP53 water resistance rating.
realme 8 5G
However, realme users continue to swear by realme UI, which is arguably less buggy and more fluid compared to Xiaomi’s MIUI. The realme 8 currently runs realme UI 2.0 while the Note 11T 5G runs MIUI 12.5, both based on Android 11. Other than this, the realme 8 5G is slimmer (8.5mm vs 8.8mm) and lighter, so that’s another plus.
Redmi Note 11T 5G vs Redmi Note 10 Pro
When put up against Redmi’s own Redmi Note 10 Pro, however, it becomes a tougher call. Both phones may sport processors that are nearly alike in terms of performance, but the Redmi Note 10 Pro misses out completely on 5G, which can be a dealbreaker for some.
Redmi Note 10 Pro
The gaping hole that the lack of 5G leaves is filled in by other stuff, though. The Redmi Note 10 Pro features a much more premium design with Gorilla Glass 5 on both front and back. This is paired with a beautiful 120Hz 6.67-inch AMOLED with support HDR10+, something the Redmi Note 11T lacks. The phone’s even got a more pixel-dense 64MP shooter.
But the better specs do come at a cost – the Redmi Note 10 Pro is priced ₹2,000 higher at ₹17,999.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it all comes down to preference. The Redmi Note 11T 5G is clearly a better buy over the realme 8 judging from raw specs alone. But if you prefer a smoother software experience, the latter would be more preferable.
On the other hand, the Redmi Note 10 Pro is better in quite a few departments over the Redmi Note 11T 5G, but lacks 5G and costs more. If 5G is more important than raw specs to you, then the Redmi Note 11T will surely be a better buy over the Redmi Note 10 Pro.
So what do you think? Will you be getting the Redmi Note 11T 5G when it goes on sale tomorrow? If yes, then let us know what you liked about it in the comments below. And if your decision is a no, then let us know what you liked about the realme 8 or Redmi Note 10 Pro more.
Earlier today, Lenovo launched its ultrawide Thinkvision E29w-20 LED monitor to the Chinese market. The 29-inch ThinkVision is available in the region at an introductory price of 1499 yuan ($235).

Lenovo ThinkVision E29w-20 - LED monitor
The Thinkvision E29w-20 features super-thin bezzles on three sides and is equipped with an ergonomic stand, offering tilt, swivel, and lift functions, making it easy to adjust and comfortable to use. The monitor has dual 3W speakers for loud and crisp audio output.
The Lenovo E29w-20 features a 29-inch IPS panel with 2560 x 1080 pixel resolution covering 99% of the sRGB color gamut. In addition to that, the E29w-20 has a 90Hz refresh rate, 4/6 ms response time, and AMD FreeSync. The IPS panel on this monitor is capable of 300nits peak brightness, enables a viewing angle of up to 178°, and offers an impressive contrast ratio of 1000:1. But what makes this monitor special in the 29-inch ultrawide segment is that it features Lenovo’s Natural Low Blue Light technology to reduce eye strain without distorting the color output.
As we know, typical blue light filters like the night mode setting cause yellowing of the display output and chromatic aberration. The Natural Low Blue Light technology solves this problem by reducing the Blue Light at the hardware level, enabling you to see accurate colors while protecting your eyes.
These features make the display ideal for content creators, designers, photography professionals, programmers, and other professionals who want additional screen real estate, professional color accuracy, and protection from blue light through long hours of work.
The monitor comes with a DP 1.2 (DisplayPort) and HDMI 1.4 multimedia ports. The monitor also provides a cable management solution in the form of a wire clip.
The Lenovo Thinkvision E29w-20 29-inch LED monitor is available now in the Chinese market for an introductory price of 1499 yuan ($235) which may go up soon(via). As for global customers, the monitor can be purchased through various retailers.
Earlier today, Honor confirmed to launch the HONOR X30 in China on December 16. At the same time, one of the brand executives shared some facts about the HONOR X lineup. He talked more about the HONOR 3X precisely.
HONOR 3X
Jiang Hairong (aka Harrison) is the CMO of Honor. A few hours back, this exec revealed that the brand has sold over 90 million units of HONOR X series smartphones worldwide to date. The number stood at 80 million units in May 2020.
On top of that, he disclosed that there are still over 40,000 active users of HONOR 3X. For those unaware, this handset made its debut in December 2013, which makes it an 8-year-old phone.
It is fascinating to learn that there are still people out there using this old piece of technology as their daily driver. Not only the smartphone’s hardware and software are slow in today’s time, but they are also incapable of running modern applications.
The executive also shares a story of a meteorologist whose first Honor smartphone was an HONOR 3X. This phone didn’t die like other handsets carried out by his teammates in an expedition involving extreme cold weather conditions. The device helped them to contact their homes.
Although Honor markets the durability of its products and the trust of its customers with this announcement, there’s no denying that there are people in the world who could not upgrade to a newer smartphone.
Do you have any experience with the HONOR X family of phones? Do let us know in the comment section below.
Apple is apparently looking to unveil a number of its products with a new redesign next year. A new report has suggested that the company is working on a refreshed design for its iPad Pro, high end iMacs, Mac Pro, and more products as well.
Redesigned MacBook Air renders
The news arrives from the latest Power On newsletter from Mark Gurman (Via 9to5Mac). In this report, Gurman shared information regarding the upcoming launches from Apple for 2022. The Cupertino based giant is apparently planning to launch a new iPad Pro design that features built in support for wireless charging. The changes doesn’t end there for the iPad family, as even the iPad Air and base iPad models will receive an update as well.
Furthermore, Gurman claimed that the iPhone maker will be releasing a redesigned MacBook Air next year, which will be launched next to a “revamped, high end iMac with Apple Silicon.” Alongside these, the company also aims on a new entry level MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, and even an updates Mac mini sometime for next year. Arriving at wearables, the brand is reportedly seeking to launch three new models of its Apple Watch. This would include the base model, the SE variant, and even a ruggedized version as well for athletes and adventure sports enthusiasts.
iPad Pro 11 (2021)
Other notable information shared by Gurman in the newsletter include, an iPhone SE with 5G support that is slated to launch next year. Additionally, the annual flagship iPhone 14 series launch, and the release of its highly anticipated first mixed augmented (AR/VR) headset as well. Unfortunately, we have no way of confirming this report at the moment, so stick around for more updates.
Time flies and it’s been over three years since the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T hit the market. Sure, the devices may not be the champs as they once were, but they still continue to hold quite well against today’s smartphone standards. They were, after all, one of the most value-for-money flagship offerings one could get their hands on.
Both phones have already bagged their final Android OS upgrades and currently run OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11, and are nearing their EOL. Still, OnePlus has clearly not given up on them yet and just pushed OxygenOS update 11.1.2.2 to the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T together – a perfect gift for their owners for the holiday season.

Improved system stability and fixed known issues
Updated Android security patch to 2021.11
No, the update doesn’t bring along any major change or any features, but does bump the security patch level to November 2021. It isn’t the latest anymore but is still better than nothing. The security upgrade is combined with fixes for some known issues and stability improvements, although the official changelog is rather vague and doesn’t really mention what bugs have been fixed.
As always, the update will be rolled out in stages, with few users receiving it today and a broad rollout commencing in a few days after it has been ensured that the build is free from any problems.
With TSMC pushing to launch its 3nm process, Samsung Electronics is following close behind with its own 3nm chip making technology. Although TSMC holds a significant chunk of the chip production market, the South Korean tech giant is also eyeing major players as few of its first customers for its 3nm GAA process.
According to a DigiTimesreport, the company is actively seeking orders for its 3nm GAA chip process. Furthermore, speculations claim that AMD and Qualcomm might be among the first customers of its new cutting edge process. The list of major brands don’t stop there as the South Korean company is also aiming on receiving orders from Nvidia as well. Notably, this marks the increasing intensity of the 3nm chip race, as both TSMC (which is the world’s largest contract chipmaker) and Samsung are pushing to launch their respective technology into the market.
As of right now, TSMC has already began the pilot production of its 3nm process technology. Additionally, it plans on starting mass production for its advanced chip technology sometime in the fourth quarter of next year. However, sources close to the matter have also found that Qualcomm, AMD, and other key players within the industry are showing their interest in Samsung’s 3nm process. The former is gearing up for its 3nm process that uses FinFET architecture while the latter will launch its GAA architecture based process.
With the ongoing global shortage of semiconductors, it arrives as no surprise that major brands are looking at another chipmaker for their products. Nvidia, AMD, and Qualcomm are known clients of TSMC. So the shift to Samsung marks a big move within the industry as companies are also eyeing on securing supply to 3nm chips.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S series of tablets is easily one of the top-grossing tablets in the Android world, and therefore manage to generate plenty of hype prior to release. Its next iteration will be the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup that’s expected to go official in early 2022. We already have had multiple leaks in the past using which unofficial renders have been created. But now, notable leakster Evan Blass has leaked what appear to be official press renders for the first time.
The renders go very much in line with unofficial renders released earlier and further confirm that the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra’s display notch will be packing two high-end cameras. One of them is expected to be an ultrawide lens that can shoot 4K videos at 60fps – a major jump over the single 8-megapixel camera capable of shooting 1080 videos at 30fps on the Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+. The inclusion of a notch also means that the tablet also gets fairly narrow bezels for a better viewing experience.
1 of 3
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and S8+, on the other hand, will feature more traditional designs with thicker bezels without any notches. The selfie camera appears to be a single unit on both of them and has been fitted into the bezel on the longer edge.
Apart from this, the renders do not really reveal much about the upcoming tablets since they only show their design from the front.
Still, much of their specs are already known. The Galaxy Tab S8, for example, is said to sport an 11-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra render
On the other hand, the beefier Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will obviously be more premium and is expected to house a massive 14.6-inch AMOLED display that may offer 3K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Depending on the market, the tablet may come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 or Exynos 2200 chip. It is likely to house an 11,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.

While we have already seen leaked renders of the Google Pixel Watch, we now have images of yet to released marketing images of the upcoming wearable. A new report has even revealed some interesting details about the company’s smartwatch as well.
In a new YouTube video from Front Page Tech, the search engine giant’s poster images for the Pixel Watch were revealed. The video claims that these are official marketing assets that will be seen online soon, which Jon Prosser allegedly captured from a leaked video. Looking at these images, we can tell that the design is in line with the leaked renders we had covered earlier this year. The smartwatch appears to have negligible bezel and a slight curve, with the physical button also being visible.
Furthermore, one of the images even showcase the Pixel Watch using Google Maps. On the other hand, Max Weinbach has separately reported that this smartwatch will feature a custom made SoC (System on Chip) that will be built by the South Korean company, Samsung. We had also reported on the wearable featuring a custom chipset that is based on the 5nm process. Now, the new information claims that the chip in question will be made by Samsung.
In other words, the new chipset for the upcoming smartwatch might even be a customized version of the Exynos W920, which is the chip that powers the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic. Unfortunately, this information is still not official, so take it with a pinch of salt for now. The Pixel Watch is also expected to launch sometime next year, so stay tuned for more updates as well.

An owner of an Apple MacBook Pro has just recently suffered from minor injuries as their laptop’s battery spontaneously combusted into flames. The laptop in question was the 2015 MacBook Pro.
For those unaware, this was the same model that was banned from some airlines as its battery was considered a potential fire hazard. Reddit user u/Squeezieful shared the details of the event on the social media platform. He showed his hands that faces minor burns after trying to remove the burning laptop from under their bed. While the users only faced minor injuries, the potential damage could’ve been quite big as the flames would possibly have led to major property damage (such as a house fire) or even worse injuries.
According to the user, the MacBook Pro was placed under the bed in sleep mode and was not on charging. But then, the owner was woken up by the fumes caused by the melting plastic case of the laptop and likely due to the burning lithium ion battery as well. This prompted him to remove the notebook from under the bed, which even caused the owner’s carpet to be burned. The Reddit user can be considered lucky as he noticed the smoke, but the toxic fumes and fire could have been fatal. Back in 2015, Apple had issued a large recall for its 15 inch MacBook Pro laptops that were sold between September 2015 and February 2016.
The recall arrived as a number of MacBook Pro units started facing incidents such as swelling and exploding. This even caused damage to property and got the model labelled as a fire hazard. Meaning, the unlucky incident that took place recently was likely due to user owning this faulty version of the MacBook Pro. But while it might be easy to say that the owner should’ve just returned it before, the Reddit user stated that his laptop had been “already been serviced for this issue,” when he had submitted its model number into the battery recall program form. Now, it remains to be seen how Apple responds to this matter.
