realme C15 Qualcomm Edition gets Android 11 (realme UI 2.0) stable update

The realme C15 Qualcomm Edition made its debut at the end of October 2020. As the name suggests, it comes with a Qualcomm SoC, Snapdragon 460 to be precise. The original model is powered by a MediaTek Helio G35 chip. On the software front, the phone launched with realme UI based on Android 10. Now, it has finally started receiving the Android 11 (realme UI 2.0) stable update.

realme C15 Qualcomm Edition realme UI 2.0 Android 11 Stable Update

Chinese handset maker realme opened realme UI 2.0 Early Access registrations for realme C15 Qualcomm Edition by late April 2021. A little over two months later, the smartphone has now begun to receive the stable update.

According to the official announcement post on realme Community, the latest system update for the device arrives with firmware version RMX2195PU_11.A.05. Right now, it is being rolled out in batches. Hence, it could take some time to reach every unit.

Anyway, the update should be available for all users in the coming days. Also, users not satisfied with the software build can revert back to Android 10. However, that process will wipe the device’s internal storage.

Unfortunately, it’s not known whether this phone will get the Android 12 update in the future. We don’t think it will be eligible either. But we believe is that it should get maintenance security patches for a while.

Xiaomi launches new MIJIA Air Pump 1S for 199 Yuan ($30) in China

Xiaomi had initially launched its own Mi Air Pump tire inflator back in 2019. Now, the company has just unveiled a new tire inflator from MIJIA, which is available for 199 Yuan (roughly 30 US Dollars).

Xiaomi

The Chinese tech giant has officially released the new MIJIA Air Pump 1S earlier today (6th July 2021). This new tire inflator arrives with a price tag similar to the one the company launched two years ago and is currently listed for sales on online e-retailers JD.com. As per official notes, the new tire inflator has launched with various improvements and optimizations to offer a better performance over the previous generation.

Furthermore, its total capacity has also be increased by about 45.4 percent, which enables it to fill two car tires that have nearly zero air pressure in just 11 minutes on full capacity. Similarly, it can even inflate eight car tires that have insufficient air pressure. Meanwhile, the previous iteration could only fill about 5.5 of such car tires. The body of the MIJIA Air Pump 1S uses a high precision alloy die cast cylinder block, which only takes 20 seconds to pressurize from 0 psi to 150 psi.

Xiaomi

This even useful for the high pressure requirements of mountain bikes, pressure shock absorbers and even regular road bike tires. A notably upgrade is the the air pressure sensor, which now arrives with a digital chip that can accurate detect tire pressure by just a small margin of error. The device also offers up to 5 different kinds of inflation modes (namely free mode, bicycle mode, motorcycle mode, car mode, and ball mode) and can also prevent over inflation. It is powered by a 2,000mAh battery pack and does not require an external power supply for charging.

Chinese rugged phone maker AGM teases a brick phone, resembles vintage Motorola Dynatac

Known Chinese rugged phone maker AGM has just teased a new device. This is an upcoming brick phone that appears to be similar to the vintage Motorola Dynatac (which was first launched in 1983), with the company shared the teased online.

AGM

Looking at the image poster, the company is working on a new brick phone, which is quite different from the modern day smartphone. While brick phones are no longer in popular demand in the current market, AGM is apparently seeking to revive this type of phones. The image poster reveals the device’s design. It features a physical keypad on the front along with a display that seems smaller than a conventional smartphone from this day and age.

Notably, the image poster reveals certain applications on the screen of the brick phone. These apps are placed in grid like manner and includes WeChat and TikTok social media platforms along with system apps like camera. This implies that the upcoming AGM brick phone will also feature a camera sensor on the back. AGM working on a brick phone is a big difference from other phone makers that are working to offer devices that are thinner and lighter.

AGM

Although, this rugged brick phone could be used by those that require endurance from their handset. In other words, we can expected the phone to be drop resistance, and likely even water resistance as well. Unfortunately, this is still an image teaser and the company has yet to reveal any finer details regarding the brick phone. So stay tuned for more updates.

Huawei

According to Weibo blogger @数码闲聊站, the Chinese tech giant’s high end P50 Pro will feature a center punch hole camera display on the front. This panel will apparently sport a 1224 x 2696px or a 2.5K resolution with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The tipster also added that the upcoming flagship smartphone will arrive with support for 5G and Wi-Fi 6 Plus networks, although, these features were expected to be included.

The leak apparently arrives from a screenshot that was shared in comment on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website, by a company official. The executive in question is Bruce Lee, Vice President of Huawei’s smartphone product line. As of right now, finer details regarding the smartphone is currently unknown and the brand has yet to reveal the launch date of the series as well. Xiaomi Mi 12 may launch in early December as Snapdragon 895 might arrive ahead of schedule

Earlier today (6th July 2021), a new report from a known tipster has revealed that the next gen flagship processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 895, might debut ahead of schedule, which might even lead to Xiaomi launching the Mi 12 in early December.

Xiaomi

According to @i冰宇宙 (IceUniverse), the American chipmaking giant will be launching the Snapdragon 895 ahead of schedule by at least half a month. Since the launch of its latest flagship chips usually are at the start of a year, we could expect the new high end processor to launch in early December of this year. In other words, this would also imply that Xiaomi might be launching its next gen flagship, the Mi 12 lineup, by the end of this year.

While the name of the upcoming premium grade smartphone from Xiaomi is currently unknown, it will likely be called the Mi 12 and would be the first to feature, if not one of the first, to feature the new Snapdragon 895 SoC. Similarly, Chen Jin, General Manager of Lenovo has previously stated that its latest flagship phone will arrive with Snapdragon 895 and will launch before New Years day in 2022. So, Xiaomi might also be in line with a similar launch date.

For those unaware, the Chinese tech giant and Qualcomm have had a close partnership for a while now, and has traditionally always launched its annual flagship close to the announcement of new chips. The company had previously launched the Mi 11, which was the first to sport the Snapdragon 888 in December 2020. But now, its successor might be unveiled by the start of December of this year.
