In the previous week, an upcoming 5G-enabled OPPO smartphone with model number PFGM00 was spotted at China’s 3C certification platform. Today, the smartphone appeared in the database of the TENAA authority (via) of the country. The Chinese certifications have revealed that the PFGM00 is a mid-range smartphone.
The TENAA appearance of the OPPO PFGM00 revealed that it has a punch-hole at the upper-left corner of the screen. For security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and its back panel has a triple camera setup housed inside a rectangle-shaped unit.
OPPO PFGM00 specifications
The OPPO PFGM00 TENAA listing reveals that it measures 162.9 x 74.7 x 8.4mm and weighs 189 grams. It is fitted with a TFT panel of 6.5 inches that delivers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display punch-hole serves as a home for its 8-megapixel selfie camera.
TENAA images of OPPO PFGM00
The PFGM00 smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor that works at 2.2GHz. The phone is expected to land in China in RAM options like 6 GB and 8 GB, and storage choices like 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB. For extra storage, the device offers a microSD card slot.
The handset runs on Android 11 OS, which is likely to be flavored with the latest version of ColorOS. The rear camera module of the phone has a 48-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera system. It has a 4,980mAh rated battery and its appearance at 3C certification had revealed that it may tag along an 18W charger.
In terms of specs and design, the OPPO PFGM00 is identical to the OPPO A93 5G (PEHM00/PEHT00 model number) handset, which went official at the beginning of this year. The only noticeable difference between OPPO A93 5G and PFGM00 is that the former features a 2.0GHz Snapdragon 480, whereas the latter has a mysterious 2.2GHz chip.

The MateView GT is specifically designed as a gaming monitor and will be sold in Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, as well as the Nordic region, the Middle East, Africa, Russia, Asia-Pacific, Western European Union, Japan, and other regions. In terms of the interface, the MateView monitor features two USB-C ports, one for power supply, and another for display, data transmission, external charging up to 65W. Huawei is yet to also release the pricing for the global market but in China, the MateView is priced at 4,699 Yuan (~$730) and comes in a single white color variant while the MateView GT gaming monitor is priced at just 3,599 Yuan (r~$560).
Earlier this year, Realme announced the Realme GT 5G flagship in China. The handset is yet to be made available for purchase outside the home market. It was revealed last month that the Realme GT 5G is coming to the European markets this month. A fresh leak by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has revealed the configurations, pricing, and color variants of the phone for Europe.
According to the tipster, the Realme GT 5G will come to Europe in two variants such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. These models could be priced at €400 and €450, respectively.
The pricing information of the Realme GT 5G may not be accurate and it may vary by +/- €20. It could be available in two color variants such as Blue with glass back and Yellow with Vegan Leather.

Realme GT 5G specifications and features
The Realme GT 5G has a 6.43-inch S-AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The display punch-hole has a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and its back panel features a 64-megapixel primary snapper, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
The Realme GT 5G has Snapdragon 888 SoC, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,500mAh battery, which supports 65W fast charging. It runs on Realme UI 2.0 based Android 11 OS.
Compact phones are not a trend, but there are still a lot of people who can not leave without them. At the same time, there are still companies that release amazing compact flagships. But Asus was not one of them, at least until the Asus Zenfone 8 came out. It is the first very compact flagship from the Taiwanese company and it boasts astonishing specifications. But is it the best compact flagship you can get without spending the max amount of money in the Android world? In order to let you find out, we decided to compare it to the most important compact flagship in the last generation: the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S21.
I love the design of the Samsung Galaxy S21: it looks very elegant and futuristic; definitely a better look than Asus Zenfone 8, with even a higher screen-to-body ratio and a thinner body. But on the other hand, the Asus Zenfone 8 is way more compact than Samsung Galaxy S21 5G. Both the phones are waterproof and dustproof with the IP68 certification, and both have a glass back protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. Do you prefer the most beautiful phone or the most compact one?
Display
Samsung Galaxy S21 and Asus Zenfone are very close when it comes to the screen quality. But the Samsung Galaxy S21 is a slightly better phone. It has an AMOLED panel with higher brightness and judging on its specs, we also think it reproduces the images better. It is also a wider panel and it comes with a better ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader. But the Asus Zenfone 8 remains a phone with a great display: it has a Full HD+ resolution, a high peak brightness, the HDR10+ certification, and a 120 Hz refresh rate, as well as an in-display fingerprint reader. With its smaller diagonal (just 5.9 inches), it is easier to use with one hand.
Specs & Software
Samsung Galaxy S21 and Asus Zenfone 8 are powered by the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform, which is the best processor released by Qualcomm. But the Asus Zenfone 8 can count on better memory configurations: it comes with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S21 provides a more advanced software experience with the One UI based on Android 11. And I would personally prefer having better software rather than more RAM.
Camera
The Samsung Galaxy S21 has a superior camera setup: it is composed of a 12 MP main sensor with OIS, a stunning 64 MP telephoto camera with optical zoom and OIS, and a 12 MP ultrawide camera. It also provides an amazing 10 MP front camera that records 4K videos. Unfortunately, the Asus Zenfone 8 lacks a telephoto sensor: it comes with just a 64 MP main camera and a 12 MP ultrawide sensor. On the front panel, you get a hole with a 12 MP selfie snapper.
Asus Zenfone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S21 have the same battery capacity. Their compact bodies are unable to contain a big battery, so they ship with just 4000 mAh. But they are enough for a day of moderate use. Their battery life should be similar as the components are similar too. But there is an important difference: Samsung Galaxy S21 supports wireless charging, while Asus Zenfone 8 does not.
Price
Samsung Galaxy S21 is priced at about €700/$800 in the global market (for the 8/128 GB variant), while the Asus Zenfone 8 starts from €600/$700+ in the base variant with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. At the end of the day, Samsung Galaxy S21 is a superior phone due to its better display, wireless charging, amazing cameras. But the Asus Zenfone 8 is more compact and even more affordable, so it can still make sense to choose it for a lot of people.
Samsung Galaxy S21 vs Asus Zenfone 8: PRO and CONS
The Lenovo Smart Clock 2 was certified a few weeks ago. It has moel number Lenovo CD-24502F and connects via Bluetooth 5.1. The description says that it is a Bluetooth AI Speaker which means it will keep the smart Bluetooth speaker functionality of its predecessor.
The original launched with a 4-inch HD+ color touchscreen and while we don’t expect the successor to be any larger for a bedside device, we won’t rule out the possibility of that happening. However, a sharper one will be appreciated. We also expect it to have a better speaker, an upgrade from the 3W speaker in the 2019 model.
The Lenovo Smart Clock 2 should have Google Assistant built-in so users can set alarms, timers, and reminders with the Hey Google or Okay Google command. It should also be able to control supported IoT devices such as smart bulbs, thermostats, and cameras.
The first-gen model launched for $80 and it will be a miracle if the successor is priced less.
The Honor 50 series will launch on June 16 in China. Prior to this announcement, we have heard that there will be two devices – the Honor 50 and the Honor 50 Pro. It turns out there is a third model called the Honor 50 SE.
The info comes from Teme (@RODENT950), who is known for his Huawei and Honor-related leaks. A tweet posted earlier today revealed that the Honor 50 series will include the Honor 50 SE, the Honor 50, and the Honor 50 Pro.
Unfortunately, the specs of the device are not known nor do we have an idea of what it will look like. However, the Honor 50 SE should be a sort of Lite model priced under the Honor 50.
The Honor 50 Pro will come with a Snapdragon 778G processor while the Honor 50 is expected to come with a Dimensity 1200 processor. There is a possibility that the SE model will have a MediaTek chipset too. All three phones should run Magic UI 5.0 based on Android 11 out of the box.

The Vivo X60 series has received much praise since it first launched in late December in China. The phones have made their way across the world with Europe getting the X60 Pro 5G last month and China getting a curved screen variant of the X60. Now, we have received exclusive details of the next-gen series that will reportedly launch as the Vivo X70.
Vivo X60 Pro
The Vivo X70 series will launch in India in September according to our source, Yogesh. The launch will be done in partnership with the Indian Premier League which Vivo sponsors. It has already been reported that the tournament will continue in the UAE between September and October, so the info checks out. However, the exact date for the launch is currently unknown.
With respect to the specs of the device, the source says they are very similar to those of the X60 series, so do not expect significant upgrades. The X60 and X60 Pro launched with Samsung’s Exynos 1080 processor in China while the X60 Pro+ has a Snapdragon 888 chipset. However, when the X60 and X60 Pro made it out of China, Vivo swapped the Exynos chipset for the Snapdragon 870.
We expect the Vivo X70 will stick to Qualcomm’s chipset for the Indian market but it remains to be seen if that will be the case for the Chinese variants.
What do you expect the Vivo X70 series to bring? Do let us know in the comment box.
U.S tech giant Apple recently released a list of the top 200 suppliers in 2020 and it shows the presence of a number of Chinese suppliers. In the wake of the trade dispute between China and the US, Apple began moves to shift the bulk of its iPhone manufacturing from China to other countries like Vietnam. While there was a reduction in the number of suppliers in 2019, the numbers of Chinese manufacturers that are part of Apple’s supply chain increased to twelve in 2020, the official record shows.
The top 200 list is also a pointer to the increasing importance of mainland Chinese manufacturers in Apple’s supply chain. In terms of regions, mainland China has the highest number of new companies added to the list.
In Taiwan, China, six new companies were added and six companies were also removed. The newly added companies include the leading thermal module companies Shuanghong, Kangkong, GIS, Maolin, Jiaze, and Jing Technology. While Zhenglong, Pegatron’s Fuyang Technology, and TPK’s mainland subsidiaries – Jingjia Optoelectronics, Darfon, Meilv, and Mingxiang Technology didn’t make it as Apple suppliers in 2020.
Further, Hong Kong-based supplier, Shanghai Industrial Holdings returned to the supply chain list after its removal the previous year. However, domestic suppliers Artesyn Technology, Cathay Pacific, and Chuangliang Technology were absent from the list.
The list also shows that Apple has got some new suppliers in the US and this includes Universal Semiconductor. On the other hand, Viavi Solutions, known for the supply of vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) components, and Cypress Semiconductor were removed from the list.
Japanese manufacturers SMK Group and Sharp Group subsidiary Kangdazhi, as well as Japan Seiko, and others were removed. were removed. Toshiba was replaced by the split Kioxia, and NGK Special Ceramics also made it into the list of new suppliers.
Apple also added a new South Korean component manufacturer – Samsung Electro-Mechanics, a supplier of RFPCB while soft board manufacturer Interflex was removed, apparently replaced by Chinese suppliers.
Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer NIO has released its output figures for last month, May 2021. According to a press release circulated today, the company delivered 6,711 electric vehicles which reflected a massive increase of 95.3% from the corresponding month last year.
The May 2021 figure follows the projections of achieving up to 22,000 deliveries by the end of Q2, 2021 even though the company continues to grapple with the challenges of the global chip shortage. Added to the chip demand glut, are a few logistic challenges for the company that has slightly affected its growth outlook. The breakdown of the 6,711 deliveries shows that the all-new ES8s accounted for about 21%, while 45% of the deliveries were the ES6s. The EC6s accounted for the remaining 34% of the deliveries. The ES8 is NIO’s flagship premium smart electric SUV. It has both a six-seater and seven-seater model. The ES6 is a five-seater high-performance smart electric SUV, while the EC6 is a five-seater coupe SUV.
The New York Stock Exchange-listed electric vehicle manufacturer says the total cumulative deliveries of the three models have reached 109,514 as of the end of May 2021. The company hopes to overcome the logistical and chip challenges to bolster its production numbers for June to meet the Q2 target by the end of the month.
NIO is a leading Chinese manufacturer of smart Electric Vehicles. The start-up began its operations in 2014 and has continued to pursue its mission to shape a joyful lifestyle for its client in a sustainable milieu. The three EVs under its stables so far reflect the core principles of the company, as it aims to build a community of EV users, bringing joy and support to the community. NIO designs, develop, jointly manufactures, and sells impressive EVs that are innovative as well. Apart from the SUVs, NIO also manufactures the ET7, a premium electric sedan that was unveiled in January 2021.
There have been multiple reports that Walmart is making a streaming stick. The device was certified by the FCC back in March and has now been listed on the manufacturer’s online store as the “onn. FHD Streaming Stick”. While you can’t buy it now, the listed price reveals this is a more affordable alternative to Xiaomi’s Mi TV Stick.
Spotted by Android TV Guide, the onn. FHD Streaming Stick runs Android TV like Xiaomi’s own streaming dongle. Wrapped in a black curved polycarbonate body, the device has a pretty small form factor. Save for the onn. logo, all you have on the device is the HDMI output port and a MicroSD card slot.
According to the limited spec sheet, the onn. FHD Streaming Stick has 1GB of DDR4 RAM. While the storage isn’t stated, we don’t think it is more than 8GB for a device of this type. The device supports dual-band Wi-Fi and has Dolby Audio.
Included in the box will be the dongle itself, an HDMI extension cable, a remote, a micro-USB cable, and a power adapter. The remote has dedicated buttons for YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, and HBOmax. It also has a microphone, a Google Assistant button, a mute button, and a Live TV button alongside the other familiar and standard ones.
The onn. FHD Streaming Stick supports 1080p streaming like the Mi TV Stick but is listed at a cheaper price of $24.88 compared to Xiaomi’s own device that sells for $39.99/€39.99.
We don’t know when it will go on sale but we expect it to fly off shelves when it does. Will it be available outside the US? The chances are pretty low right now, so if you don’t reside in the States, the only way you may be able to get your hands on this is to have it imported.
Onn also has a slightly more expensive streaming device that is priced at $29.88 and supports 4K streaming. While not as portable as the one above, the extra $5 is worth it for what you get.

There is a 48MP main camera on the back of the phone along with a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor while an 8MP camera is in front for selfies.
POCO ships the phone with a 5000mAh battery that charges at up to 18W. Other features are a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, stereo speakers, an audio jack, and a USB-C port. The POCO M3 Pro 5G runs Android 11 out of the box.
The Italy-based unit of Vodafone has received conditional approval from Rome to use the equipment made by the world’s leading telecom equipment manufacturer Huawei in its 5G radio access network, reports Reuters.
As per the sources aware of the development, the government of national unity led by Prime Minister Mario Draghi has authorized the deal between the two companies — Vodafone and Huawei, on 20th May.
The government has reportedly imposed a set of prescriptions, including restrictions on remote intervention by Huawei to fix technical glitches and an extremely high-security threshold, adds the report based on sources.
Italy can block or impose tough conditions on deals involving non-European vendors under “golden powers.” So far, the golden powers have been used three times since 2012 to block foreign interest in industries deemed to be of strategic importance.
The development comes at a time when the United States has banned Huawei in its country and is also lobbying its allies, including Italy and other European countries to block Huawei from participating in the deployment of next-generation 5G infrastructure. The US government is citing national security risk as a reason behind sanctions against China-based companies like Huawei and ZTE, among others.
However, Italy has not banned Huawei entirely from the 5G infrastructure but has adopted a tougher stance against the company. Previously, Rome had prevented telecoms group Fastweb in October from signing a deal with Huawei to supply equipment for its 5G core network, where highly sensitive data is processed.
A fresh report by Winfuture.de states that Samsung has started the mass production of the peripheral components of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold3. The new development suggests that the South Korean company could be planning to launch the Z Fold3 in the next few months.
The publication reported that the company is seemingly planning to produce the Z Fold3 in restrained quantities. The initial quantities are said to be only around a third of what the company usually produces for its other devices. This could be because Samsung’s smartphones with foldable displays carry a hefty price tag as compared to its regular smartphones that have normal displays. It appears that the company will gradually increase the production of the Z Fold3 units.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G Mystic Bronze
The Galaxy Z Fold3 is expected to debut as Samsung’s first phone with an in-display camera. Also, it is likely to be the first foldable phone from the brand to come with support for the S Pen stylus.
Reports have revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold3 has a 120Hz 6.2-inch S-AMOLED cover display and a 7.5-inch foldable S-AMOLED inner display with QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support. The Snapdragon 888 or the rumored Snapdragon 888+ chip may power the Z Fold3. It may offer up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of native storage.
Its rear may feature a 12-megapixel + 12-megapixel + 12-megapixel triple camera system and it may house a front camera of 10-megapixel. The inner foldable screen could be integrated with a 16-megapixel in-display camera. The device may house a 4,400mAh battery, which may support 25W fast charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.
Huawei launched the China-exclusive HUAWEI nova 2s affordable flagship smartphone in December 2017. The handset debuted with EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. But unfortunately, it only received a single major update in the form of EMUI 9.0/EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9.0 Pie. However, the company continued to release minor service updates every now and then. In fact, the device is currently receiving a new system update almost three and a half years after its debut.

That said, like any other OTA system update, the EMUI 9.1.0.226 update for the HUAWEI nova 2s is also being rolled out in batches. Therefore, it may take some time to reach every unit.

Last year, POCO announced the POCO X3 NFC in global markets, and India was treated with a slightly different POCO X3 handset. The company announced the POCO X3 Pro with the Snapdragon 860 earlier this year. Fresh information reveals that it could be planning to launch yet another X3 series phone called the POCO X3 GT in India.
Tipster Kacper Skrzpek shared a screenshot containing the names of POCO and Redmi devices. The list has a handset named POCO X3 GT that has not debuted yet. The tipster did not share any other information about the mysterious X3 GT.
Most POCO phones that are available in the market are rebadged editions of the existing Redmi handsets. For instance, the recently announced POCO M3 Pro 5G is a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10 5G, whereas the POCO F3 available in the global markets is a rebranded edition of China’s Redmi K40.
Moreover, the upcoming POCO F3 GT that is slated to debut in Q3 in India is likely to arrive as a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Gaming edition. Hence, there is a possibility that the POCO X3 GT could be a rebadged Redmi phone. Could it be a rebranded edition of the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G, which was announced recently in China? Hopefully, newer reports will spill more information about the POCO X3 GT handset.
Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G specifications
The Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD FHD+ 120Hz display, Dimensity 1100 5G chipset, 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB / 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G
The rear camera array of the Note 10 Pro 5G has a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel superwide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfies, it possesses a 16-megapixel front camera. It comes with MIUI 12.5 flavored Android 11 OS and a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
Earlier today (1st June 2021), iQOO India had confirmed the launch date for the upcoming iQOO Z3 5G. Now, a YouTuber has just shared the first look of the device along with an interview of a company official as well.
As per a new video from Geekyranjit, the YouTuber interviewed Gagan Arora, the Director of iQOO India. In the video, he can be seen asking the executive regarding the Chinese tech giant’s journey and their smartphones in India. During this interview, Gagan revealed the upcoming android smartphone and even shared some exclusive information about the device as well. Notably, the interview also had the senior official reveal the latest smartphone as well.
For those unaware, the iQOO Z3 5G is the first handset in India to feature the Snapdragon 768G mobile platform. Unfortunately, the company has yet to unveil any other finer details regarding this device as of right now. Although, we can expect features similar to the ones seen in the Chinese version of the device. This includes a 6.58 inch IPS LCD panel with a teardrop notch, which offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
On the front, the device sports a 16 megapixel sensor while the rear houses a 64 megapixel main camera, an 8 megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2 megapixel macro sensor. Under the hood, a large 4,400mAh battery with 55W charging support, and is confirmed to arrive in an 8GB of RAM variant. It also features a fingerprint reader that is mounted on the side of the smartphone. The official has also confirmed that it will launch under 25,000 INR (roughly 343 US Dollars) and will arrive with special bank offers in Amazon India.
The OnePlus Nord CE 5G has been confirmed to be the next OnePlus smartphone. This handset is set to launch on June 10. Apart from leaks, even the brand itself has been teasing the device ahead of its release. Now, Amazon India has accidentally (read intentionally) revealed two key features of this upcoming phone.
OnePlus is known for its hype marketing. So it was obvious that we would be learning more about the OnePlus Nord CE 5G before its launch.
As usual, Amazon India will be the exclusive online retailer for the OnePlus Nord CE 5G in India. Ahead of the handset’s release, the American eCommerce giant is running a promotion on its platform.
According to a report by 91Mobiles, Amazon India has a quiz on its mobile app, which reveals the storage configuration and color of the OnePlus Nord CE 5G. The device is said to arrive in Charcoal Ink color with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
But we believe there could be other storage configurations as well as color options. Unfortunately, this quiz does shed light on the prince of the phone. Anyway, it is worth noting that OnePlus has hinted the smartphone to cost less than the original OnePlus Nord.
