Ni Fei, the president of ZTE Mobile Devices, revealed that the Axon 30 is coming and it will have an under-display camera. The manufacturer explained that the device was delayed due to the current global chip shortage among other issues. Nevertheless, he says the phone will arrive soon.
The phone is expected to come with a Snapdragon 888 chipset like its other siblings that were announced today, though we won’t be surprised if it comes with a different chipset entirely. It should also run Android 11 with ZTE’s new MyOS interface on top.
Chinese tech powerhouse Huawei has endured a very vicious campaign of sanctions and restrictions within the last two years, but it seems the company is still riding strong amidst the storm. Huawei has continued on a positive development trajectory, with several patents emanating from the company in recent times.
The current Huawei rotating Chairman Xu Zhijun has disclosed that the company projects 2030 as the launch date for its next-generation 6G technology deployment. The 6G network will be 50 times faster than 5G, further enhancing the current 5G technology which is still at its developmental stage in various parts of the world. According to the Huawei chairman, a 6G white paper that will provide the necessary details on the technology for industry regulators and players will be unveiled soon.
Xu’s announcement is bound to keep Huawei’s competitors on their feet, as it indicates progress the company had made even in the height of stiff restrictions by the United States Government and some of its allies. Huawei continues to blaze the trail among its competitors in several aspects of the technology spectrum, including communication, where it remains the undisputed leader in 5G technology.
As Huawei continues to extend technology’s frontiers through its numerous innovations, possibilities continue to unfurl for it to deploy 6G technology. The speed of the 6G network massively outclasses that of 5G up to 50 times. It is far superior to 5G in terms of the key performance indicators and metrics like peak rate, delay, traffic density, connection density, mobility, and spectrum efficiency.
The expected benefits of 6G communications networks are pretty mouthwatering. With ultra-high network speeds never before seen, the world will become more connected, and several tasks still challenging to accomplish using 5G will become routine. The impact on the health, automobile, economic and technological space will be significant if indeed Huawei can pull this achievement in 2030.
The new report would help to boost fans’ confidence in the brand amidst the protracted sanctions.

Samsung leads the foldable smartphone category with its Galaxy Z series. Currently, the company sells two types of foldable phones and both of them have a single hinge. However, there have been reports in the past regarding a tri-fold Galaxy tablet. According to our source, such a device is indeed in development and may launch as soon as next year.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 | Source: Samsung
GizmoChina has partnered with tipster Yogesh to bring you fresh information about the upcoming Samsung tri-fold tablet. As per our source, this device will launch as Galaxy Z Fold Tab in Q1 2022.
The previous leak about this product suggested that it will be releasing in 2021. Unfortunately, that will not be the case. However, we may or may not see a teaser for it during the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 launch event, which could take place in early August. This is still being debated by Samsung’s marketing team.
Further, the main highlight of the Galaxy Z Fold Tab apart from its tri-folding capability will be support for hybrid S Pen. This stylus will make its debut alongside the Galaxy Z Fold3 in a few months from now. Unfortunately, we do not have any information about this Bluetooth-enabled stylus except that it will be different from the older S Pens.
Lastly, the forthcoming tri-fold tablet will also sport a better UTG (ultra-thin glass) than the current generation. This new thickened reinforced glass will be introduced in the Galaxy Z Fold2 successor. Essentially, the Galaxy Z Fold3 will be a testbed for Samsung’s first folding tablet.
Anyway, the above-mentioned specifics of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Tab stand true only as of the current development cycle. The final product may vary depending on changes undertaken by the engineering team in the next few months before the design is finalized.

AMD has launched the Ryzen 5000G series CPUs, packed with sufficient processing power to make playing current-generation PC games a great experience. The 5000G series, a follow-up to the Ryzen 4000G series, offers some exciting graphic quality and a higher processor capacity.
The Ryzen 5000G series CPUs combine Zen 3 processing capabilities with Vega 8 integrated graphics to produce a fairly above-average GPU performance. The added advantage is that there will be no need to buy a video card for optimal gaming performance.
The base products are the Ryzen 3 5300G, with a 4GHz base clock at 65W TDP, and the 5300GE, with a 3.6GHz base clock at low-power 35W TDP. These may apply to a segment of the market, but the current lineup pick would undoubtedly be the high-end models. These are the Ryzen 5600GE, with a 3.4GHz base clock, the 5600G having a 3.9GHz clock, the 5700GE, and the 3.8GHz 5700G. These models are very appealing and are capable of displaying standard 3D games. However, the current AMD lineup is still a bit lower in terms of capacity than the premium offerings in the segment.
AMD claims that the Ryzen 5700G can be up to 80% faster than Intel’s Core i7-10700 in several areas, including creativity, productivity, and app performance. AMD also says that the models are capable of frame rates above 30FPS, generally better than what obtains on Intel Core i7, for several popular games like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Metro Exodus, and Civilization VI. Although AMD’s claims may not provide the complete picture, it is worth considering the series if the interest is gaming-oriented.
Samsung Galaxy S21 series is considered the benchmark for Smartphone cameras. These devices still hold their lead for the best camera in a smartphone. The Korean giant did put a ton of effort to make them the way we see today. Anyone into smartphone cameras knows that Google Camera (or simply GCam) is one of the best camera apps for smartphone. This is because Google processes images like no other. So in this guide will tell you how to download GCam for Galaxy S21 series.
We are as curious as you are to see if the GCam outperforms the native camera app of the Galaxy S21 series. Whenever a new smartphone is launched, developers always make a port of the GCam app. By the grace of the developers Arnova8G2 and BSG, we now have 2 varieties of the same app to choose from. We expect that at least one of these apps should work on your brand new Galaxy S21.
Steps to Download GCam for Galaxy S21 Series
We’ll start by downloading both the ports. This step is crucial, as there is a high chance
that only one of the app will work on your device, and we don’t know which. So make
sure that you download both of them from the following links.
Download Arnova8G2 GCam 8.1 APK
(We know that whenever we download an Android application from anywhere other than
Google Play Store, our device will warn us of malicious software. Simply ignore it and proceed with the download.)
Once the download is complete open the file. Enable unknown sources if
necessary.
Click on install, and wait for the installation to complete.
Once complete, click on done, and you can now open the app from the App drawer.
If the one you installed isn’t working, try the alternate one.
If everything goes as expected, you will now be able to use GCam without any
hassle.
GCam 8.1 offers everything that was there with the previous releases. It also introduces
the following features.
All the functionality from GCam 7.4 and 7.3 are preserved as it is.
Quick Zoom
Cinematic Pan
Improved Super Res Zoom
Night Sight Portrait Mode
You can now use the popular features of the GCam like Night Sight, Astrophotography, and more. You can enable them by going to Settings > Advanced.
Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra Specs
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra was launched early this year with a 6.8-inch dynamic AMOLED display sporting 1440 x 3200 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1500 nits brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It is powered with Snapdragon 888 in the USA and China, while the rest of the world enjoys it with Exynos 2100. The smartphone sports a powerful quad-rear camera featuring a 108MP primary lens, a 10 MP periscope sensor, a 10MP telephoto and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. A 40MP sensor resides on the front for selfies.
The Galaxy S21+ smartphone comes with the same chipset and houses a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. However, a triple-camera replaces the quad-rear camera with a 13MP primary sensor, 64MP telephoto and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. On the front, the device features a 10MP selfie sensor.
The last but not least, Galaxy S21 houses a 6.2-inch Dynamic OLED display with 1300 nits brightness and 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. A similar camera setup as the Galaxy S21+ is present on the standard variant too.
We hope you were able to install the GCam on your Galaxy S21. Do let us know in the
comments how it competes with the native camera app of the device. Please note that
the app is only a copy of the original, and there will definitely be bumps and kinks here
and there. Don’t forget to hit the comments if you need any further information.
ASML CEO believes that the attempt to control the export of chips to China will not work. The executive said that this would not only fail to hinder the region’s technological progress but also end up hurting the US economy as well.
According to a Bloombergreport, Peter Wennink, the CEO of ASML Holding believes that trying to control chip export to the region will be detrimental to the US. This move arrives amid growing trade tensions between the US and China, which had also led to restrictions on the sale of the Dutch company’s advanced equipment to Chinese firms. The senior official said that “I believe that export controls are not the right way to manage your economic risks if you have determined that there is an economic risk,” during an online event.
The executive further argued that “you close China from access to technology, that will also cost non-Chinese economies a lot of jobs and a lot of income.” Wennink believes that while it may take China a while to build its own semiconductor equipment and technology due to lack of access to foreign technology, non China based firms will be barred from one of the world’s largest chip markets.
In other words, this would harm even US based companies that trade with China. The CEO also stated that ending ties with China completely could probably cost anywhere between 80 billion to 100 billion US Dollars in sales. Furthermore, it could also affect 125,000 jobs in the US as well, as per estimates from the US Commerce Department.
Apple has informed its authorized premium resellers and dealers to prepare for new products that will arrive with 10 and 12 digital serial numbers. This news arrives just a few days prior to its ‘Spring Loaded‘ event.
According to a MacRumorsreport, the Cupertino based giant was planning on switching to randomized serial numbers for the launch of its future products in early 2021. In other words, the recent report is in line with the company’s plans. The company is advising its resellers and dealers to prepare for the roll out of new randomized serial numbers due to the nearing Spring Loaded event, in which the company is expected to launch new 2021 iPad models.
As per an internal memo obtained by MacRumors, Apple has asked its dealers to ensure that their “systems, warehouses, and processes are in place and able to receive and ship the two serial number formats.” For those unaware, the iPhone maker currently uses a 12 digit serial number formats for its products. These serial numbers arrive with an alphanumeric format, which could sometimes hold key production information such as production date and time.
But now, the system would randomize the system, meaning, it will be harder to discern key information regarding its products now. Furthermore, the reminder from Apple to its authorized partner comes just a week from when the company will hold its ‘Spring Loaded’ event, which is set for 20th April 2021. In the event, the company is expected to launch new 2021 iPads that are said to feature mini LED displays.
OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus Watch alongside the OnePlus 9 series. The watch is the brand’s first smartwatch and it has been received with mixed reactions. OnePlus is now set to launch the smartwatch for sale in India for the first time. The watch will go on sale first starting from April 21 on the brand’s exclusive Red Cable Club. On April 22, the smartwatch will then be on open sale via online and offline channels in India including Amazon.in.
The OnePlus Watch Classic Edition is available in both Midnight Black and Moonlight Silver colors and uses a Fluoroelastomer strap. This edition, which is the one that would go on sale soon, carries a price tag of Rs. 14,999 (~$199). However, OnePlus will be offering an instant discount of Rs. 2,000 for SBI credit card users and EMI transactions. This offer will run until April 30, 2021, so the effective price of the smartwatch during this period will be Rs. 12,999 (~$172).
As a reminder, the OnePlus Watch features a 1.39-inch AMOLED display and has an HD resolution of 454×454 pixels and 326 PPI. The round watch dial is covered by a 2.5D curved glass. The watch utilizes a 46mm frame made from 316L stainless steel with two buttons on the sides with one of them having the OnePlus’ logo. The smartwatch also features a Fluoroelastomer strap and you can use third-party straps if you want.
The OnePlus Watch is powered by an STM32 chipset paired with 1GB RAM and there is 4GB of internal storage onboard. It equally comes with the usual sensors such as Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Geomagnetic sensor, Barometer, Blood Oxygen sensor, Optical heart rate sensor, Ambient light sensors. Huawei is gearing up for the launch of its new tablet. The company will be unveiling the new device on its 20th April 2021 event, which is also the same day when Apple is set to hold its next Special Event.
According to a NotebookCheckreport, the Cupertino based giant recently revealed the date when it will announce new products soon. In this event, it is expected that the company will offer a first look at the 2021 iPad models. But it seems that Huawei is also looking to launch its own new tablet on the same date as well. This clash in dates might be on purpose, with the Chinese tech giant being confident about its upcoming tablet.
The new tab from Huawei is likely the MatePad Pro 2, which has recently been rumored to arrive with a Kirin 9000 processor. This tablet would also sport a large 12.2 inch OLED display from Samsung along with support for 5G networking as well. Notably, the MatePad Pro 2 could possibly launch with HarmonyOS out of the box. For those unaware, this is a proprietary operating system developed by the Chinese consumer electronics maker.
This software might be exclusive to the Chinese market. Unfortunately, finer details regarding the MatePad Pro 2 is currently unknown. Furthermore, we would have to wait for the April 20 event to know more regarding both launch conferences. So stay tuned for more, as we will be covering the events and offer updates when additional updates are available regarding the new launches.
Chinese handset maker iQOO will be launching the iQOO 7 series in India on April 26. Recently, we learned that the iQOO 7 heading to India is basically a rebranded iQOO Neo5. Now, another interesting piece of information pops up on the internet regarding the brand’s possible upcoming phone for the country.
iQOO U1
According to a report by MySmartPrice, a smartphone called iQOO T may soon launch in India. This device has been spotted on the Indian IMEI database. As per the listing, it will be a 4G-only handset with model number V2019A.
The last time we heard about iQOO V2019A was in July 2020. This device was supposed to launch as the cheapest 5G smartphone back then. But that never happened. Instead, the company released a phone called iQOO U1 (V2023A) with a similar set of specifications, however, without 5G support.
We once again looked at TENAA for this handset and found that it was re-certified in November. Weirdly, the certification is only valid until May 23 and it has images of the phone with vivo branding.
vivo V2019A | Source: TENAA
This means either vivo dropped iQOO branding in the middle of development or this device was meant to release as a vivo smartphone since the beginning. The biggest question is whether this handset will ever hit the market in China since its certification expires next month.
On the other hand, as mentioned in the beginning, the V2019A has been registered as iQOO T in India with 4G connectivity. Looks like iQOO will be disabling the device’s 5G capabilities as it did with iQOO 3.
Anyway, we are not sure if and when iQOO T will launch in India. Perhaps, the phone may never release in the country.
Facebook has just signed a new deal in India. This deal will have the company buy renewable energy from local firm’s wind project, marking the social media giant’s first such deal in the South Asian region.
According to a Reutersreport, the company is striking a deal with CleanMax. This deal is related to the latter’s 32 megawatt wind power project, which is located in Karnataka, India. This location is also a part of a larger portfolio of wind and solar projects from the social media giant and the Mumbai based CleanMax. Both firms are working together on supplying renewable power power into India’s electrical grid, as per a joint statement from the companies.
CleanMax will own and operate the projects, meanwhile, Facebook will buy the power off the grid off the grid using using environmental attribute certificates, or carbon credits. Urvi Parekh, Facebook’s head of renewable energy, stated that the company doesn’t own power plants, but has signed long term electricity purchasing agreements with renewable power based firms. She added that the deal would “enables the project to seek out the financing that it would need.”
Similarly, Facebook has also announced a similar partnership deals with energy providers like Sunseap Group, Terrenus Energy and Sembcorp Industries in Singapore for projects that can produce 160 MW of solar power. Notably, Mark Zuckerberg, the company’s CEO, had also announced that Facebook’s global operations are now wholly supported by renewable energy and that it has reached net zero emissions.
Realme has been reported to be working on a new mid range smartphone for a while now. This device will be a part of the company’s Q series of handsets and will reportedly feature MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset and 65W fast charging.
According to a MyDriversreport, the Chinese tech giant will be launching a cost effective yet capable smartphone. This device will be within 2,000 Yuan (roughly 300 US Dollars), despite its 5G enabled Dimensity 1100 chipset. As per a Weibo blogger (a Chinese microblogging website) @公然熊猫 , the device will arrive with a 120Hz high refresh rate and will be powered by a large 4,500mAh battery pack that supports fast charging. The tipster also added that the company might also include a 65W fast charger in the box.
The model of the device is currently unknown, but it is rumored to be the Realme Q3. The mid range handset from the Chinese tech giant will arrive with a quad camera setup on the rear and will feature a stylish design overall. We had previously reported on the company’s plans to launch an affordable device, which will strike a balance between price and performance. The Dimensity 1100 SoC is built with a new 6nm EUV process and is capable of 5G networking.
Furthermore, the device will likely arrive with current gen specifications like UFS 3.1 storage, LPDDR4X RAM, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and other such features. Notably, the performance of Dimensity 1100 is said to surpass the Snapdragon 870 in multi core tests. Thus, we can expect the device to offer robust performance for its rumored price tag. So, stay tuned for more updates.

Earlier today (15th April 2021), TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd) said that it is working on increasing its productivity to help ease the shortage of semiconductors across the globe. But, due to tight supply, the shortage is expected to continue into the next year.
According to a Reutersreport, the company made the announcement of expanding its capacity and working on keeping prices reasonable at an earnings briefing. In this report, the world’s largest contract chip maker marked a rise of 19.4 percent of its profits in the first quarter of this year. This figure was higher than previous estimates and is likely due to the strong chip demand, which is due to a shift of remote working and online education. TSMC’s net profit for Q1 2021 was 139.7 billion Yuan (roughly 4.93 billion US Dollars).
The firm also added that it has already flagged “multiple years of growth opportunities” as the coronavirus pandemic drove the demand up for advanced chips to power devices like smartphones and laptops. Initially, the company’s business surged by the chip shortage that had impacted the automobile industry, which forced them to cut production, but now, the shortage is also affecting other markets like smartphones, laptops, and even home appliances and other consumer electronic products.
Furthermore, TSMC stated that the chip shortage that is affecting its automaking clients at the moment will be greatly reduced from the next quarter. The company’s vice president and CFO Wendell Huang added that “Our first-quarter business was supported by HPC-related demand, balanced by a milder smartphone seasonality than in recent years. Moving into second quarter 2021, we expect our revenue to be flattish, as HPC-related demand will continue to grow, offset by smartphone seasonality.”
