realme is gearing up to launch the realme Q3 in China very soon. And going by the realme President, China, Xu Qi’s recent post on Weibo, we can expect it as early as next week. Today, he has also shared a picture that shows a fluorescent “glow in the dark” logo on it.
In a Weibo post, Xu Qi shared a GIF image to say what will appear on the back of the device. We cannot quite catch its design but what is visible is that the device has a big DARE TO LEAP logo on the back. This seems to be coated with Phosphorescent paint to make it glow in the dark scenarios.
We have already seen fluorescent back panels on realme devices and the recent one is the realme 8 Pro illuminating yellow variant. For the unware, Phosphorescent paint is made from phosphors such as silver-activated zinc sulfide or doped strontium aluminate.
That said, the material is just a guess from our side and realme hasn’t confirmed what it has used on the back panel so let’s wait for official info.

Anyway, the realme Q3 is shaping out to be a pretty exciting device to look at not just the outside but inside as well. The device is said to feature MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset on the inside.
The realme Q series is generally focused on budget users and the predecessor realme Q2 series is an example of it. The realme Q3 is likely to continue that and feature a 120Hz display, 4,500mAh battery, and ship with a 65W charger in the box just like its predecessor.
realme has already said that the new realme Q series will strike a balance between price and performance. This goes in line with the price rumors which is said to be within 2,000 yuan($300). Let’s wait till next week to find out more.

Vivo V21 series, Credit: Vivo
In a tweet, Vivo Malaysia has revealed that the Vivo V21 series will debut in the country on April 27. Similarly, as per the report, the company will likely launch the devices in India on the same date.
While Vivo India hasn’t confirmed the models, the company has revealed that the series will include Vivo V21 4G, V21 5G and V21e in Malaysia. On a microsite page, it has already revealed the features coming with the device.
The Vivo V21 series in Malaysia is said to have an AMOLED display with a teardrop notch upfront. And speaking of the front, the selfie camera will be a 44MP camera sensor and it will be assisted by two LED flashlights, OIS. The last time we saw the front-facing dual-LED flash was the Vivo S9 series in China.
On the back, we can expect two color variants and one of which will be a Blue color option. The Triple-camera setup will have a 64MP primary sensor with OIS. The camera layout, which reminds us of the iQOO 7 and Vivo X60 devices, has “AI camera” and “1.179-2.4 OIS” written beside the LED flash.
Under the hood, the Vivo V21 series is also said to a technology that is similar to the memory fusion we recently saw on iQOO Z3. Here, it will typically make a device with an 8GB RAM function like an 11GB version. That is, the additional 3GB RAM effect will be provided for mitigating the lags.
That said, it is worth noting that the Vivo V21 series was previously said to arrive with 5G to India before. However, the report by Moneycontrol says that only the Vivo V21 model will land in India on April 27. And the other devices will arrive at a later date.
Additionally, the report says that the Vivo V21 selfie camera will have Eye Auto Focus (AF), and probably retail for under ₹25,000. Eye Auto Focus tracks the movement of the eyes to make sure if the object is inside the frame.

In other words, the company aims to bring these sellers to its online marketplace by 2025 through the ‘Local Shops on Amazon’ programme. Notably, the announcement from the company also arrives amid reports of the local government drafting policy that is against foreign e-commerce based firms. Similarly, the company’s CEO Jeff Bezos announced its plans on investing 1 billion US Dollars at the maiden edition of Amazon Smbhav event to digitally enable 10 million Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (MSMEs) back in January 2020.
This would have created e-commerce exports worth 10 billion US Dollars and create about 1 million additional jobs in India by the year 2025. Amit Agarwal further added that “The launch of the Smbhav Venture Fund aims to attract best ideas and empower entrepreneurs in the country to partner in this vision. Additionally, our initiatives to on-board 1 million offline shops on Amazon.in and digitally empower the North East region will accelerate the progress towards a digital and self-reliant India.”

According to previous reports, the OPPO A74 5G coming to India will be different than the handset that was released in several Asian countries earlier this month. The Indian OPPO A74 5G is said to be a rebranded OPPO A93 5G, which launched in China in January.

CAD leaks and other information from the iPhone 13 series shared in a recent video has revealed that Apple might be making the 2021 iPhone’s camera module larger than the previous generation.
As per a video from EverythingApplePro (via MacRumors), the Cupertino based giant is making the camera module of the upcoming iPhone larger, which is likely due to larger sensors and sensor shift stabilization. Looking at the video shared in the video, the iPhone 13 mini, Pro, and Pro Max camera module will all arrive with a “perfect square.” The iPhone 13 Pro Max will reportedly arrive with a camera system that protrudes 0.87mm more than the current iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Furthermore, the thickness of the overall body thickness has also risen by 0.25mm, as per the supposed CADs. The camera module of the iPhone 12 Pro will be 3.38 taller and 4.77 wider. Talking about the iPhone 13 mini, the CAD has shows a diagonal camera setup that will protrude 0.99mm more than the iPhone 12 mini, and it will be 3.06mm longer in width, and 0.14mm shorter in height. The overall iPhone 13 mini’s body is apparently thicker by 0.26mm as well.
Lastly, the video also depicts the iPhone 13 Pro, with the camera module being 3.41mm taller and 4.81mm wider than the current iPhone 12 Pro model. The noticeably larger camera will include a larger LiDAR sensor, along with better accuracy for corners, edges, and AR. Apart from just the increase in size, the camera system will also protrude 3.65mm, compared to the 2.79mm on the iPhone 12 Pro. Unfortunately, this is still just a leak, so take it with a pinch of salt for now and stay tuned for more updates.
Earlier today, Motorola India confirmed the Moto G60 and G40 Fusion monikers. Now, the company has revealed the launch date of the devices in India.
In a couple of tweets, the company confirmed that Moto G40 Fusion and Moto G60 will launch in India on April 20 at 12 PM IST. Motorola is known for its tie-up with Flipkart and these devices will also be launching on the e-commerce platform.
Along with the launch date, Motorola has also confirmed few specs of the Moto G40 Fusion and G60. Before anything, it looks like the Lenovo-owned company is after the Redmi Note 10 Pro series with these devices.
Accordingly, Motorola has confirmed that both the Moto G40 Fusion and Moto G60 will feature a 6.82-inch display. While the company says it’s an HDR10 display and has a 120Hz refresh rate, it hasn’t specified if it’s the LCD or AMOLED panel.
Also, since the company isn’t marketing AMOLED in posters, don’t keep your hopes high. Anyway, just like the display, the Moto G40 Fusion and G60 will be powered by the Snapdragon 732G chipset and have a 6,000mAh battery underneath.
That said, despite giving the triple-camera layout on both the devices, Motorola will set them apart with camera sensors. The Moto G60 will have a 108MP primary camera that has 2.1μm Ultra pixel, 8MP ultrawide that also acts as a Macro lens, and 2MP depth sensors. Upfront, the device will have a 32MP selfie snapper.
As for the G40 Fusion, the device will have a 64MP camera and reports say that the rest of the sensors will be the same. However, it is said to have a 16MP selfie shooter.
Xiaomi has just invested in another company. This time, the company invested in Huajing Sensing Technology, which is a chip development based firm. The investment was made through the Hubei Xiaomi Yangtze River Industrial Fund.
According to an ITHomereport, the chip developed has undergone some business changes recently, with the new shareholders being Gongqingcheng Tuojin Zhonghe Investment Partnership Enterprise (Limited Partnership), Hubei Yangtze River Industry Fund Partnership (Limited Partnership), and Shenzhen Tuojin Venture Capital Fund Partnership (Limited Partnership). The registered capital has increased to around 28.59 million Yuan (roughly 4.38 million US Dollars).
The Huajing Sensing is a firm that is based around independent sensor core chip technology. This firm was established back in 2010, with its business scope including research and development, production, and manufacturing of sensor equipment, technology development, technical consulting, and technical services for the Internet of Things products.
Furthermore, the Chinese smartphone maker has also invested into a number of companies through the Yangtze River Industrial Fund including Tishen Technology, which provides flexible tactile sensors, a semiconductor Zonghui Xinguang, and even laser equipment manufacturing company Keyun Laser. So, this is likely Xiaomi’s move of investing into local tech based firms.

Xiaomi had recently joined the ranks of the few OEMs like, Huawei and Samsung, that makes foldable devices. Now, a new patent has revealed that even Google is working on its own foldable devices that would launch sometime in the future.
According to a PatentlyApplereport, the search engine giant has filed a patent that showcases their interest in foldable devices. The company filed the patent with the US Patent Office, which was published titled “Hinge Mechanism by Gear Set with Slider for Foldable Display Device.” This implies that the device in question could be a foldable smartphone, tablet, or even a netbook. In the patent, the brand highlights the issues that current foldable devices face and states that its patent offers a solution.
The Google patent first highlights the shortcomings of conventional hinge mechanisms and their issues. After which, the company offers its own solution in which, a device may “include a hinge assembly having a slider mechanism and a set of gears. The slider mechanism and the set of gears operate to transfer a rotational movement into a translational movement of one of a first housing or a second housing.”
To put it simply, the new hinge mechanism can transfer a rotational movement of the flexible device and allow bends without any damage or breakage. Unfortunately, this is still just a patent. While it implies that the Google engineering team is working on the device, it is still too early to offer anything concrete. So stay tuned for more, as we will be providing updates when additional information is available.

The US recently added new entities into its trade blacklist, which were from Chinese origin. Now, the impact of these sanctions are already showing effects as TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company ) has suspended new chip orders from one of the newly blacklisted firms.
According to a SCMP report, the world’s largest contract chip maker has stopped taking orders from Phytium Information Technology Co, which is one of the seven Chinese supercomputing related firms that were added to the US Entity List last week. As per a source close to the matter, the company will complete any existing orders that were placed before the Chinese firms were added to the blacklist over national security allegations.
Furthermore, a TSMC representative decline to comment on the matter but did state that the company would “abide by all the laws and regulations as always, and will operate according to the export restrictions.” Meanwhile, Phytium has yet to offer any statement regarding this matter. At the moment, while China is investing heavily in the development of its local semiconductor technology, it is still reliant on foreign technology and chips from overseas.
The nation’s supercomputers use processors made by tech giants like Intel, AMD, and IBM. According to Francis Lau, a computer science professor at the University of Hong Kong, “The sanctions would definitely affect China’s ability to keep to its leading position in supercomputing because all current supercomputers use mostly US-built components. Although there are alternatives made by other countries such as Japan and [South] Korea, the best components are still by the US.”
