The Motorola One Zoom is an upcoming smartphone with quad rear cameras. Last week, renders and specs of the phone were leaked online. More details have surfaced today and while some confirm what we already know, some are actually new info.
The source of the new leak is Roland Quandt (@rquandt) and he took to Twitter to share the details. First, he reiterates that the phone is called the Motorola One Zoom and not the Motorola One Pro.
But don’t be deceived by the name, the Motorola One Zoom is not an Android One Phone like the other Motorola phones with “One” in their names. Roland Quandt said the phone will come with a special Amazon Alexa integration (shown in action below).

The phone will have four cameras on the back arranged in a matrix. Below the sensors sits the familiar Motorola Batwing logo which actually lights up. We actually think that is a nice touch to add to the device.
The 48MP quad-camera setup is reported to have dual optical image stabilization. This means one of the other three cameras alongside the 48MP 1.6µm primary sensor has OIS.
It is confirmed that the Motorola One Zoom will be powered by the Snapdragon 675 just like the Redmi Note 7 Pro. It will have 4GB of RAM and 128GB UFS storage with a MicroSD card slot for expansion. There may be other variants too but the above configuration will have a price tag of €399 (~$445).

The source has also provided renders of the phone including one with a purple/violet finish. One of the photos shows the phone has a speaker grille at the top while the opposite side is home to the SIM tray.
The renders also show the Motorola One Zoom will come pre-loaded with Amazon apps including Amazon Music, Amazon Photos, and Audible.
Motorola is expected to announce the One Zoom at IFA 2019.
Xiaomi has officially launched a new water purifier that is nicknamed “Lentils”. It is priced at 999 yuan ($141) and is currently on pre-sale on Xiaomi Mall. Those who avail themselves of the product during the presale gets a 50 yuan discount.
The Mi Water Purifier “Lentils” derives its alias from the lentils plant as the gadget is kind of designed like the Lentils pod with the three purification chambers arranged like seeds inside the pod. The water purifier is quite portable, and can easily fit under the kitchen sink. It comes with a dimension of 471x452x170mm. There is also a mini-water tank that is just 3L in volume.
The Xiaomi Mi Lentils Water Purifier uses reverse osmosis (RO) filtration technology with four different purification chambers. The water travels through high-density folding PP cotton in the first chamber and moves to the second chamber containing activated carbon rod. The third chamber contains a reverse osmosis filter and then another activated carbon rod chamber. The water that comes out is of packaging-grade drinking water standards.
The water production efficiency to wastewater ratio is 1:1 meaning none of the water is wasted. The water output rate is 1.3L/minute and so with a 3L tank, the gadget can release drinking water. The total daily water production is about 47 cans which can meet the daily needs of a home of around 3 to 5 persons.
In addition, the Xiaomi Mi Water Purifier Lentils supports the kitchen-type installation and comes with a separate faucet which can be installed free of charge. Of course, this is exclusive to China.
LG is expected to launch two new devices at the beginning of next month at IFA 2019. LG’s phones that may get unveiled at the upcoming IFA 2019 include LG G8X, LG V60 ThinQ, LG 50s and LG V60s. Rumors of a fifth device, called the V50s ThinQ, have just surfaced in the South Korean media. However, the V50s ThinQ is speculated as a rebranded G8X for their domestic market. The G8X is expected to go official as an upgraded version of the LG G8 ThinQ that was showcased at the MWC 2019, back in February.
Kwon Bong-seok, President of the Mobile Communication Division at LG, revealed that the G-series smartphones support the 4G networks whereas the V-series phones will be 5G ready. The reason behind this move is the global recognition of the LG G-series. As opposed to the V-series that is more popular in the domestic market. The international-spec of the LG G8X is expected to feature 4G connectivity, while the South Korean version could get a 5G modem. According to a post by Yonhap News, South Korea has the highest density of 5G users in the world. The figure currently stands at 2 million.
LG is yet to formally announce the specifications of the G8X. However, leak-based renders from Onleaks, in association with Pricebaba were spotted earlier this week. The images highlight the smartphone from every angle, leaving a pretty good idea of what to expect from the device.
The G8X features a 6.2-inch display with a dewdrop notch. The absence of a dedicated fingerprint sensor hints at the possibility of an in-display fingerprint scanner, which would be a first for LG. The dewdrop notch is too small to house any dedicated facial recognition sensors. This means that users will have to stay content with a selfie camera-based screen unlock unit.
If LG plans to replace the G8 ThinQ with the G8X, the hardware needs to be of flagship standards. The G8X is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, although, there is no information on the memory or storage options on offer. The G8X gets a dual camera setup at the rear. LG could introduce new sensors soon, although, the G8X reportedly has the same primary and wide angle setup as the G8 ThinQ.
The images confirm the presence of a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port. The highlight of the G8X is the presence of an earpiece. This means LG has done away with the vibrating screen technology for voice calls, previously seen on the G8 ThinQ.
Xiaomi had launched the Mobi smart Elliptical Machine under the Youpin crowdfunding platform in June this year. The fitness gadget has now been launched for sale at a higher price. The Mobifitness elliptical machine had a crowdfunding price of 2999 yuan ($424) but the gadget is on offer now for 3699 yuan ($525).
The elliptical machine is also known as a spacewalker and is a systemic weight-bearing aerobic device. The elliptical trainer trains the body’s balance and flexibility while exercising the body muscles, effectively strengthens the bones and thus, prevents osteoporosis, and protects the knee joints.
The Mobi Fitness Smart Elliptical Machine uses the orbit of the planetary bodies in a circular motion as a creative source to design the elliptical appearance and motion trajectory. It comes with a Nordic aesthetic design combining a solid wood circle with a metal frame. It uses a front flywheel design, which is also a new trend in the elliptical design industry. The manufacturer claims the design is better than the rear flywheel design, as it brings higher stability, higher technical requirements and occupies a smaller floor space. The fitness gadget equally adopts a dual-track four-axis design which is safer than the common single-track dual-axis design in the market because it effectively prevents derailment
The elliptical machine provides 24 different resistance levels simulating the strength exerted when jogging, walking, running and climbing. There is also smart control of the resistance, to help the user complete the whole process in the most balanced and comfortable body state.
Huawei’s EMUI 10 went official last week and now everyone is wondering when their Huawei and Honor devices will get the new update. The fact that the new OS is based on the latest Android Q version makes it even more interesting, bringing some really useful features like a new app gallery and Digital Wellbeing app to existing Huawei smartphones. It’s not really surprising that the Huawei P30 series will get the first beta update based on EMUI 10. The rollout for the P30 series is scheduled for September 8, but we have got details for other devices in China as well.
huawei emui 10 schedule – Huawei Forums
According to Huawei’s official forums, Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will receive EMUI 10 update on September 8, soon followed by the Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20X, Mate 20 RS Porsche Design sometime around late September 2019. As for the devices like the Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro, Honor V20, and Honor Magic 2, they’ll get the beta version of Magic UI 3.0 around the same time i.e. late September 2019. All these beta versions are based on Android Q, so these phones will soon be running the latest version of Android.
EMUI 10 is an important update for Huawei phones as it improves smoothness and performance on existing devices. The company has even added a system-wide dark mode which even forces apps that don’t have a dark mode to comply. The system settings are better organized in this new version and the OS is designed to offer a better experience when working other devices like a Windows 10 laptop. EMUI 10 allows the smartphone to cast its screen directly on to the Windows 10 device, offering a seamless working experience.
Honor Magic 2 will get the new Magic 3 UI beta update later in September
So far, these are the devices confirmed to receive the EMUI 10 update. But expect more information about other devices as well in the coming days.
The Realme 5 series will launch on August 20. And just as earlier reported the Realme 5 Pro will have a 48MP quad-camera setup on its back. Realme has released an official poster confirming the primary camera.
According to the photo, the Realme 5 Pro will be India’s first 48MP quad-camera phone in its segment. The 48MP sensor is the Sony IMX586 which is present in phones like the Realme X and the Redmi K20.
Alongside the primary 48MP sensor, the phone will also have an ultra-wide camera, a Super Macro camera, and a portrait camera. The ultrawide camera has a 119° field-of-view Which allows you to shoot 1.5x more. The Super Macro lens with a 4cm final length allows you to shoot close up shots of objects. The Realme 5 Pro’s portrait lens, as the name says, should result in sharper and clearer portrait photos.
Yesterday, specs of the phone leaked. The source said the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 712 processor. It will also have an AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch. The source also revealed it will have an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The Realme 5 Pro will launch alongside the Realme 5 on August 20 at 12:30 pm in India.

According to the most recent reports, Samsung is still dominating the smartphones market with a noticeable annual growth. And the company keeps releasing amazing handsets: after announcing a foldable phone, the Korean giant officially unveiled the Galaxy Note 10 line-up with huge improvements compared to the predecessor Galaxy Note 9. For the first time since 2011, the Note line-up contains two different variants. This means that we can compare it not only with the most expensive devices out there but also with more affordable Chinese flagships. For this post, we chose to compare the vanilla Galaxy Note 10 with the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro and the Oppo Reno 10x zoom which we believe are among the top 5 most wanted flagship line-ups of the second half of 2019.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 vs Oppo Reno 10x zoom vs Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro
Samsung Galaxy Note 10
Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro
Oppo Reno 10x zoom
DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT
151 x 71.8 x 7.9 mm, 168 g
156.7 x 74.3 x 8.8 mm, 191 g
162 x 77.2 x 9.3 mm , 210 g
DISPLAY
6.3 inches, 1080 x 2280p (Full HD+), Dynamic AMOLED
6.39 inches, 1080 x 2340p (Full HD+), Super AMOLED
Tastes play an important role here, but I would personally choose the Galaxy Note 10 because of its more compact size, a lower thickness (despite the presence of the S Pen) and the waterproof certification. However, if we only consider the look, Oppo Reno 10x zoom is definitely more attractive with its full borderless display, it shark fin front camera and its very original glass back, at least according to my tastes. But for me, dimensions and builds quality are more important. Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro remains a very interesting device due to its borderless display with pop-up camera and its solid glass back available in interesting color variants. Which one would you go for?
Display
Despite it has an inferior display to the Galaxy Note 10+ with a lower resolution and a smaller size, the new Galaxy Note 10 has the most amazing screen you can find in this trio. It is the only to be HDR10+ compliant, so it shows more brilliant and realistic colors. Some might not like the hole placed at the center of the display in order to include the front camera while reducing the bezels, but in terms of quality, it has no rivals in this comparison. It even supports the S Pen for handwriting and drawing, which can also be used as a motion controller allowing the control of the display without touching it. Just note that Oppo Reno 10x zoom has a wider panel, but for the rest, Galaxy Note 10 wins.
Hardware/Software
The European version of the Galaxy Note 10 comes with a brand new chipset: the Exynos 9825 built with a better 7 nm process (compared to the 9820) and with improved performances. On the other hand, the U.S. version still comes with the Snapdragon 855 chipset found on the Galaxy S10 series, just like the Oppo Reno 10x zoom and Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro. So if you are from Europe and other regions in which you can get the Exynos 9825, the Galaxy Note 10 is the best choice for you. Otherwise, we suggest you go for the Oppo Reno 10x zoom which offers the same hardware department plus a micro SD slot to expand the internal storage. In each case, you get a highly customized Android-based user interface.
Camera
If you love to zoom without losing details, then Oppo Reno 10x zoom is the right choice for you thanks to its 10x hybrid zoom and 5x optical zoom. But for all the rest, Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is a better camera phone due to its Dual OIS technology, a variable aperture and amazing video recording capabilities.
Battery
If battery life is your priority, do not choose the Samsung Galaxy Note 10. Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro reaches the most satisfying results and it even offers a faster charging technology than the Oppo Reno 10x zoom. But note that Galaxy Note 10 is the only to support wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
Price
€950 for the Galaxy Note 10, €800/$895 for the Oppo Reno 10x zoom and just €430/$480 for the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro. At the end of the day, if we exclude the battery, Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is the winner of this competition. But Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro definitely has a higher value for money. If your budget is not limited (and you do not care about having a longer battery life or a bigger display), it is currently not worth going for the Oppo Reno 10x zoom with the actual prices.
Xiaomi has crowdfunded its 384th product and it is the Ink case AI Recording Pen. The portable gadget went on crowdfunding recently for just 199 yuan ($28). The Ink case AI recording pen comes with support for high-definition noise reduction, AI transfer, encrypted storage.
The gadget adopts Alibaba Cloud artificial smart speech engine which supports smart sentence segmentation. It also supports Mandarin and English translation.
The crowdfunding offer also comes with free 120-hour Alibaba Cloud storage voice transfer service. After the voice recorder app is connected, the 120-hour Alibaba Cloud storage package is activated and is free at a rate of 10 hours per month. You’ll have to pay for extra storage space if it is exhausted. However, there is a 16GB storage onboard the device.
The Ink case Al recording pen uses an all-digital MEMS microphone combined with a smart acoustic algorithm to effectively filter out the ambient noise and reverberation noise caused by indoor space reflection, and clearly restore the sound. The device has omnidirectional sound source localization, automatic gain adjustment and other functions optimized by the algorithm for far-field pickup. The effective recording distance can reach 6 meters.
Connectivity is via Bluetooth 5.0 and when the mobile phone is connected, the app can realize file synchronization, voice backup, recording control, text transcription. You can also share the recording via apps such as WeChat. There is a 300mAh battery and it can be charged via a USB-C port.
The 199 yuan ($28) Ink case AI Recording Pen is expected to start shipping on August 28.
One of Xiaomi‘s latest crowdfunding product is the 249 yuan ($35) Jeeback Neck Massager G2. Usually, when we sit for too long, especially when the wrong sitting posture is adopted, the end result is usually excessive neck muscle tension, poor blood circulation, long-term will cause chronic muscle strain, cervical deformation which could severely affect the brain blood supply and also result in dizziness and headache. The pain resulting from muscular strain is really discomforting. If you’ve ever suffered one, I’m sure you can relate to this. These sort of situations are what the Jeeback Neck Massager G2 aims to tackle.
The Jeeback Neck+ Massager G2 adopts the L-style scarf design. It doesn’t put an extra burden on the neck as the entire machine weighs only 190g. The outer part of the fuselage adopts ivory white colour coating with a touch of silver mirror metal. It looks really fashionable.
The neck massager is equipped with three (3) massage heads due to different neck contours of different groups of people. Each massage head adopts a 360° floating skinning system to easily adapt to different groups of people and maintain a good skin massage effect under free action.
It uses the TENS low-frequency pulse principle to simulate three major massage techniques, kneading, scraping, acupuncture. The massage techniques each have 15 levels of strength selection. There is also an automatic circulation mode.
The massager also comes with a constant temperature hot compress function. This is suitable for those who suffer from poor blood circulation due to cervical discomfort, which causes the cervical spine to be cold and stiff, especially in winter. The high-sensitivity sensor with precise temperature control at 42 °C for 3 seconds can effectively solve the cold and cold state of the cervical spine. More intimate is that you can open the hot compress function in autumn and winter to care for the cervical spine.
Jeeback Neck+ Massager G2 use the mainstream USB Type-C charging cable for fast charging. If the massager is used for 30 minutes every day, it can last for 8 days. If the electrode pads are not in contact with the skin, they will automatically shut down after 60 seconds of operation to ensure safe use and save power. It comes with a remote controller and can also be controlled via a connected app on a smartphone.
No doubt this is a vital product to have at home and it is affordable. The crowdfunding response has been explosive so far with almost 3 million yuan raise by over 11,000 backers. The gadget is expected to start shipping on September 25.
It was reported earlier that the Razer smartphone line has been put on hold but a follow-up report said the manufacturer is working on a successor to last year’s model which will launch later this year. Nevertheless, the Razer Phone 2 is still popping up in the news from time to time.
The last we heard of it is the massive price slash which now sees the phone sell for $399, down from its launch price of $799. This week, images of a prototype with 8 times the storage and extra features have surfaced on the web.
The Razer Phone 2 is available in two configurations which are 8GB of RAM + 64GB and 8GB of RAM + 128GB of expandable storage. The prototype that has shown up on the web has a whopping 512GB of storage. If Razer had released this variant, we are pretty sure the price would be close to a $1000.
That is not all the prototype has got. Based on the photos shared by XDA-Developers member, Kountry83, the phone has a THX logo on the back. It also has dual SIM support, Widevine L1 support, and an unlocked bootloader with the DRMs intact.
1 of 5
The Razer Phone 2 has a single SIM slot, so a dual SIM variant would have been a welcome choice for a lot of buyers.
The Razer Phone 2 is a great purchase at $399 considering the features it packs. It has a 5.72-inch IGZO IPS LCD display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution. The display has a 120Hz refresh rate that puts the OnePlus 7 Pro’s 90Hz screen to shame.
There is a Snapdragon 845 processor under the hood which should handle any game thrown at it without hiccups. It also has liquid cooling. There is no audio jack but the Razer Phone 2 has one of the best speakers you will find on a smartphone. The dual front-facing speakers have Dolby Atmos and THX-certified amplifiers. The Razer logo on the back has Razer’s Chroma customizable RGB lighting.
It has a single SIM slot and a microSD card slot for up to an additional 1TB of storage. There is also Bluetooth 5.0, dual 12MP rear cameras, an 8MP front-facing camera, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Razer Phone 2 packs a 4000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 4+ and 15W wireless charging.
The next big smartphone revolution is through 5G technology and almost all of the major smartphone manufacturers have at least one 5G device in the market right now. In the race to release 5G enabled smartphones, companies might have to sacrifice on design efficiencies. A new report from the research firm IHS Markit highlights this particular point, especially when it comes to Huawei’s first-generation 5G modem, the Balong 5000.
Huawei’s Balong 5000
In its report, IHS Markit tore down six current 5G smartphones in the market from vendors like Samsung, LG, Xiaomi, Oppo, OnePlus, and Huawei. Samsung has its own 5G modem while other companies, excluding Huawei, relies on Qualcomm’s X50 5G modem. The teardown of Huawei’s Mate 20 X 5G model reveals some interesting design elements.
The report highlights that the Balong 5000 5G modem isn’t really efficient in terms of space and feature management. To start off, the Hisilicon’s Balong 5000 modem is the only multi-mode 5G modem in the market right now. This means that the modem can switch between 5G/4G/3G/2G without any need for an additional LTE modem. However, the Mate 20 X 5G comes with a Kirin 980 SoC that already has an integrated LTE modem inside. So, the LTE chip inside the Kirin 980 is practically unused.
Also, the die size of the Balong 5000 is significantly larger than its competition. For example, its die size (built on 7nm) is 50% larger than Qualcomm’s X50 modem that’s manufactured on the 10nm process. Of course, Balong 5000’s multi-mode capability could add to its size, but IHS Markit states that the modem will still be comparably larger than the upcoming QualcommX55 solution built on a smaller 7nm process.
Further, the Balong 5000 modem is significantly denser than the competition because it comes with a staggering 3GB of LPDDR4 SDRAM inside. In comparison, other modems like Snapdragon X50 come with just a few hundreds of megabytes of SDRAM.
Mate 20 X comes with Balong 5000
Well, this report practically brings out the inefficiencies of Huawei’s Balong 5000. But it’s worth adding that it doesn’t hamper its ability to support 5G networks. Huawei could have decided to go ahead with this design probably because it wanted to speed up the release of its 5G smartphone. Another possible reason mentioned by IHS Markit is that the modem was developed by its in-house Hisilicon subsidiary. Hisilicon doesn’t really have to cater to the demands from other OEMs that would have forced it to make its modem more efficient.
Well, first-generation 5G solutions were never going to be perfect. But it’s worth adding that companies are working towards making 5G modems more efficient. The IHS Markit report concludes by saying “better, cheaper and faster 5G smartphones are on the horizon”. For more information on the report, hit the source link below.

How do you think about power bank? For me, power bank is one of the essential items. Nowadays, most of you spend several hours on smartphones. If your smartphone runs out of battery outdoors, power bank is the best solution for you. I got OUTXE W20 IP67 Waterproof Wireless Solar Power Bank several days ago, which performance is surprising me. So, let’s check out the OUTXE W20 Power Bank.
Unboxing:
The power bank ships with some practical accessories include a manual, a 7W mini solar charger, a dual-port wall charger, a weatherproof protective carrying bag, a Micro USB charging cable, a Type-C charging cable, five safety locks and two hanging straps.
Design:
I was shocked by the OUTXE W20 Power Bank when I saw it firstly. The power bank comes with premium material, which is solider than all power banks I have ever seen. And it is also the heaviest power bank I have ever used. It is a cool power bank with almost all-black color and red.
On the front side, there is a lightning logo in the middle, which is a wireless charging output. Smartphones can be charged if you place devices center onto the lightning logo. The power button is placed on the above of the lightning logo, and there are six LED indicators beside it. The first five LED lights are the battery indicators, and the last LED light is the solar panel charging or wireless charging indicator. Between the power button and the lightning logo, there is the OUTXE logo with red color, which is standing out.
Why is it called Solar Power Bank? Look at the rear side. There is a solar panel on the backside, acting as an emergency backup once your power bank is running out of battery. It is amazing that the solar panel will charge the power bank automatically if you put it under direct sunlight.
The OUTXE claims that the W20 power bank is designed with IP67 rating for waterproof and dustproof. I totally believe it because of the firm waterproof lid placed on the top of the power bank. The waterproof lid is not easy to open, that is the most important reason for me to trust its waterproof and dustproof rating. Under the lid, there is a smart USB output and a quick charge output.
On the left side of the OUTXE W20 power bank, there is a Type-C input and Micro USB input covered by a firm waterproof lid.
There is a LED light on the bottom of the power bank, which comes with three modes.
The OUTXE W20 power bank ships with four protective rubber cushion with red color.
Capacity:
OUTXE aims to position the W20 power bank as the best outdoor power bank for modern travelers. In my opinion, the most important thing for an outdoor power bank is the battery capacity. I don’t disappoint about the battery capacity of the OUTXE W20. The W20 power bank comes with 20000mAh battery capacity, which is enough for charging your devices for several times.
Performance:
As mentioned above, the W20 power bank comes with dual outputs ports, which can charge for two devices at the same time. When using both outputs simultaneously, the maximum power of the power bank will be limited within 24W to control the temperature of the product. The security mechanism is necessary for the large capacity power bank.
What’s more, with the dual input ports, the power bank supports a fastest possible recharging rate around 6.5 hours. By the way, my own power bank, which comes with 10000mAh battery and one input port, takes about 10 hours for fully charged.
In the test, I use the OUTXE W20 Power Bank to charge Realme 3 and Realme X at the same time. Let’s check out.
Realme 3 — 3% to 26% — charge for 30 minutes
Realme X — 2% to 28% — charge for 30 minutes
The charging speed is fast, and it is very handy for charging two devices at the same time.
In addition, I use it to charge iPhone XS Max with wireless charging mode.
iPhone XS Max — 61% to 72% — charge for 30 minutes
The OUTXE W20 power bank supports three charging outputs at the same time. Although the charging speed is not so fast at this mode, it can charge for three devices! I think it is very good for those who own several smart devices.
Conclusion:
OUTXE W20 is a safe, handy and portable outdoor power bank, which is definitely suitable for modern travelers. I really like the OUTXE W20 power bank, except its heavyweight. But as its market positioning and multi-features, I can understand that.
The power bank now is put on the kickstarter. If you are interested in it, you canclick here to get more information and support it.
Last month, Xiaomi launched its new Android One smartphone in the European market — Xiaomi Mi A3. The phone is a re-branded Android One version of the Mi CC9e smartphone that was recently launched in China.
The company has been teasing the launch of Xiaomi Mi A3 Android One smartphone for the Indian market since quite some time. We recently reported that the phone could get launched in India on 23rd August. Now, it has been confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi A3 will launch in India on 21st August.
Along with confirming the launch date of the smartphone in the Indian market, it has also been revealed that the Mi A3 will be available for purchase exclusively through Amazon India.
Coming to the specifications, the Xiaomi Mi A3 features a 6-inch HD+ AMOLED display with 1520 x 720 pixels screen resolution. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of native storage.
In the camera department, the smartphone features a triple camera setup on the back, featuring a 48-megapixel primary sensor along with an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
On the front side, the device comes equipped with a 32-megapixel sensor that is housed inside the waterdrop notch. The front camera sensor merges four pixels to form large 1.6μm pixels for better low-light images and AI beautify mode.
The key highlight of the Mi A3 is the software, which is designed for smoothness, better user experience, and quick upgrades. It runs stock Android 9 Pie operating system out-of-the-box, given that it’s an Android One phone. The smartphone sources power from a 4,030mAh battery that supports 18W Quick Charge fast charging.
The Xiaomi Mi A3 was launched in Europe at a starting price of 249 Euros (~$278) for the 4GB + 64GB variant while the higher-spec 128GB storage variant is priced at 279 Euros (approx. $312). In India, we are expecting the smartphone to be priced under ₹20,000 which roughly converts to $281.
Fnatic Mode is a feature that was announced during the launch of the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. The feature arrived on both phones via an OTA after they launched. It has now been made available to the OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 6, OnePlus 5T, and OnePlus 5.
It turns out that Fnatic Mode, which is sort of an advanced gaming mode, not only boosts your gaming experience on your OnePlus device but also has hidden wallpapers for you.
The discovery was first reported by the folks at IndiaToday and they have made a tutorial on how to access these wallpapers.
To get the wallpapers, you have to go to Fnatic Mode which is located within the Gaming Mode under the phone settings (Settings > Utilities > Gaming Mode > Fnatic Mode). Once Fnatic Mode is open, tap the Fnatic logo five times in quick successions and you should see a text box asking for a code. Enter the words “alwaysfnatic” into the box and tap enter. This should unlock three special wallpapers. You can decide to add these new wallpapers to your already existing collection if you like them.
The feature works on all the devices with Fnatic Mode, so you should give it a try if you have a supported device.
Ever since its IPO last year, Huami has been consistently releasing new smartwatches in the market. Just recently we saw the special Amazfit GTR edition and now there’s another one incoming. Huami VP confirmed earlier today that the company’s new smartwatch will take on the Apple Watch with a higher pixel density and a similar color scheme.
Huami’s New Watch will have high PPI and a pink strap
Yesterday, a beta user of the said smartwatch leaked it on social media in China. Given its Apple Watch-esque design, many speculated that it was an upcoming Apple Watch Series 5 model. However, after seeing that the upcoming Huami smartwatch was already leaked, the company’s VP decided to share an official render of the watch and dismiss speculations. He further revealed that Huami has managed to beat Apple Watch’s 326 PPI screen by incorporating an even better 341 PPI display on its new watch.
Given its design, the new watch (we don’t have a name yet) should be from the Amazfit BIP lineup but nothing is confirmed yet. The official render shows it in a special gold finish with a pink strap. This is a pretty good indicator that the company is looking to take on the Apple Watch Series 4 which also features a similar color scheme.
Huami’s VP reveals that the company will release more details on August 20.

It’s been a while since Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi launched the flagship K20 series in China and India. We usually don’t see many activities around launched products by these manufactures, but it seems Xiaomi has something more lined up for the the K20 lineup. The company has put up a new Redmi K20-related teaser on its Chinese social media channels. Although, aside from the August 16 date there aren’t a lot of hints.
The teaser image shows off boxing gloves, similar to K20 marketing materials, noting the text “KO” on it. What can be seen is that Redmi has partnered with ONE Championship, a Singapore-based sports media enterprise. The company will be making the announcement in partnership with ONE Championship, a Singapore-based sports media brand that works around kickboxing, mixed martial arts, and more.
It is expected that there might be a new variant of the phone, but there is no specific hint by the company. We’ve heard rumors that the new variants will feature 12GB of RAM, but nothing’s really set in stone.
Redmi had launched the K20 and K20 Pro smartphones in China in May. At present, only the 6GB and 8GB RAM variants of Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are on sale in China. The same arrived in India last month. Back in late May, a K20 Pro variant with 12GB of RAM got certified for sale in China by TENAA, so this may very well be its official launch event. We’ll have to wait a few more days in order to find out for sure.
Huawei is rolling out a new update to its flagships – the Huawei P30 and the Huawei P30 Pro. The update which is rolling out in China brings a bunch of new features and optimizations but the most interesting one is Super Night Mode for the selfie camera.
The update (EMUI 9.1.0.193) is rolling out to the Huawei P30 with model numbers ELE-AL00 and ELE-TL00, and to the Huawei P30 Pro with model numbers VOG-ALOO, VOG-AL10, and VOG-TL00.
With Super Night Mode now available for the front camera, owners can now take brighter selfies in low-light environments. We haven’t seen camera samples yet but we expect them to surface when the update gets a wider roll-out.
The changelog for the update also brings a video editing feature to the gallery, optimizes the fingerprint scanner (Huawei recommends setting up the fingerprint scanner afresh to see the new improvements), default activation for VoLTE calls for China Telecom users, Bluetooth support for Huawei Gentle Monster Smart Glasses, and August’s security patch.
The changelog may be slightly different when it begins to arrive for users outside China but everyone should get the Super Night Mode for the 32MP selfie camera on both phones.
The Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro were released in the first quarter of the year. They are both powered by the Kirin 980 chipset but that is practically where the similarities end. The P30 Pro has a bigger screen, more cameras, a bigger battery, support for wireless charging, support for a faster wired charging technology, an IR port, and an IP68 rating. The P30 is, of course, less expensive and has an audio jack which the Pro variant doesn’t have.
