Huawei is one of the leading technological companies from China. The company has shown its immense potential to the world by its modern and technological products. The China based company Huawei has been destined as a safety risk in the US and Australia. Now, the Chinese giant is conducting a recruitment drive in European countries for its research and development division. This news of European recruitment drive has been revealed by the President, French subordinate of the Huawei.
Francois Quentin has told the media that the company is planning to double the workforce in the research and development in the coming two to three years. Currently there are around 800 people working in the research and development division of the Huawei in Europe. France will be the major focus for the recruitment of new staff. Around 200 people will be employed as new staff members. Designers and applied mathematicians will also be the part of this new staff of Huawei. The company has 17 research and development centres in around eight countries of Europe. Germany, Italy and Finland have the research sites of Huawei. The company is supposed to take up 13,000 people by 2017.
Two months back, International Data Corp, has ranked this Chinese giant at number three position in the race of smartphone makers in the world by sales. Samsung of South Korea and USA based Apple were the only names ahead of Huawei.
US and Australia have considered the company as a risk to their security because of the alleged somewhat close links of Huawei to the government of China. But the company completely denies allegations of any such involvements.
iPhone, a brand name which has changed the definition of smartphones. iPhone are the global leaders in technology. On the other side we have the Apple of China, Xiaomi. Xiaomi has proved a tough competition for all the leading smartphone makers in the past few years because of its economical and innovative products. Both the companies are ready to face off each other with their new flagships, iPhone 6 and Xiaomi Mi4 in China.
The latest flagship from Apple, iPhone 6 is the most powerful and techno release from the company. But Xiaomi’s Mi4 is ready to attract the users with its reasonable price and world class features.
The iPhone 6 has a screen of 4.7 inches with IPS LCD display and 750 x 1334 pixels resolution, Apple A8 processor (1.4 GHz), 1 GB RAM, iOS 8 operating system, internal storage memory of 16GB and 64 GB / 128 GB, battery of Li-Po 1810 mAh and 8 mega pixel rear camera and 1.2 mega pixel front camera. iPhone 6 has an oleophobic coating on screen.
On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi4 has a screen size of 5.0 inches with IPS LCD display and 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, Krait 400 CPU (2.5 GHz), 3 GB RAM, Android 4.4.3 operating system (KitKat), internal storage memory of 16GB and 64 GB, battery of Li 3080 mAh and 13 mega pixel rear camera and 8 mega pixel front camera.
iPhone is definitely more admired and accepted worldwide. But the Chinese giant has an advantage of being in its native land. So, this competition is going to be very interesting.
Oppo always has some new strategy to make its product a hit. This time the strategy is to keep the old hit in the new product. The company has a plan of keeping the rotating camera in Oppo N3 also. Last week the teasers of Oppo N3 have got many likes on the official page of Oppo on Facebook. The leaked images of Oppo N3 are shocking for the rivals of Oppo and surprising for the fans of Oppo. This rotating camera will give the flawless selfies with the help of the primary camera. This feature was also there in the antecedent of Oppo N3, i.e. in Oppo N1.
The new Oppo N3 will also be sharing one more feature with its predecessor Oppo N1. This feature is the dual LED flash. It is expected that this new device will be a slimmer version of the Oppo N1. The rotating camera is supposed to be at the top of the phone. But there is no revelation about the features and specifications of the phone.
Oppo N3 will definitely be an upgraded version of Oppo N1. Oppo N1 has high definition display on 5.9-inch screen, Snapdragon 600 processor (1.7GHz), battery of 3,610mAh, storage memory of with 16GB and 32GB and 13-megapixel rotating camera. The company highly believes in saving the resources, which is the reason of adding only one camera in these smartphones. This camera serves the purpose of both, the rear camera and the front camera. The leaked image reminds us of the era of flip phones because the phone looks somewhat half of a flip phone.
Doogee has many new phones in its lineup, so we decided to compare the specifications of two interesting smartphones, Doogee DG580 Kissme phone and Doogee D310 Voyager2.
(Doogee DG310 Voyager2)
Both the smartphones have almost the same internals with the major difference being in the camera sensor and the screen size. Inside these two phones, you get a Mediatek MTK6582 1.3 Ghz Quad Core processor along with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory which can be expanded via a MicroSD card up to 32GB.
(Doogee DG580 Kissme)
However, when it comes to camera, DG580 comes out as the winner. The Kissme phone comes with 8MP front and rear cameras with LED flash, while the Voyager2 comes with only a 5MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front shooter. The screen size’s different too, with DG580 coming with a 5.5 inch 960 x 540 resolution display as compared to the 5 inch 854 x 480 resolution screen on the DG310.
The battery’s bigger on DG580 with a 2500 battery pack as compared to the 2200 mAh one found on the Voyager2. However battery life should be more or less the same on both the devices, given DG580’s larger screen size.
Given that Doogee DG580 is new in town, we decided to pit the newbie against another new offering from the company, the Doogee DG2014 Turbo.
(Doogee DG2014)
Like most of Doogee’s recent devices, DG580 and DG2014 comes with a 1.3Ghz Quad Core Mediatek MTK6582 processor with 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM and a MicroSD card slot which can be expanded up to 32GB.
DG580 comes with a 5.5 inch 960 x 540 resolution display while the DG2014 comes with a much better 5 inch 720p screen. Both the devices use One Glass Solution – OGS Full Lamination display technology.
(Doogee DG580)
In the camera category too, DG2014 has an edge over DG580. The former comes with a 13MP rear sensor along with a 5MP front shooter while the latter comes with 8MP front and back shooters. Both have LED flash besides the rear camera.
As for the battery, DG580 comes with a 2500 battery pack while the DG2014 only has a 1750 mAh one. So, DG580 will naturally offer better battery life than DG2014.
Doogee DG550 Dagger is probably the company’s fastest offering in the market and today we compare this beast with the Doogee DG580 Kissme mid range device.
Dagger comes with a powerful 1.7Ghz Octacore Mediatek MTK6592 processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB ROM. On the other hand, DG580 comes with a 1.3Ghz Quad core MTK6582 processor with 1GB RAM and just 8GB ROM. However, if you find 8/16GB storage low for your daily needs, you can anytime upgrade the memory using a 32GB MicroSD card.
Both the devices feature a 5.5 inch display, however the Dagger comes with 720p HD resolution as opposed to Kissme’s 540p display. They come with standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3G and even support dual sim cards.
DG580 comes with 8MP camera sensors on both the rear and the front while the DG550 Dagger comes with a 13Mp rear camera along with a 3Mp front shooter. Both have dual LED flashes which make it easier to capture images at night.
DG550 sports a slightly larger battery. It comes with a 2600 mAh battery pack as compared to the 2500 mAh one found on the DG580. Both the devices are well built and powerful and end of the day, the choice would depend upon your budget.
Doogee DG800 is an interesting device because it comes with just average specifications. However, Doogeee has incorporated a back touch panel on the device which sets it apart from other models in this range.
Rest of the specifications are much like the Doogee DG580. You get a Quad Core 1.3Ghz Mediatek MTK6582 chipset with 1GB RAM, and 8GB ROM. There’s a memory card slot on besides the sim tray which can accept MicroSD cards up to 32GB in size. Both the devices support 3G and dual sim.
However, DG800 is quite smaller than DG580, so anyone looking for a compact device can opt for this device. Valencia comes with a 4.5 inch qHD 960 x 540 display which is the same resolution found on Kissme. However, DG5680 has a much larger 5.5 inch screen which also means DG800 will be sharper than the other.
Unlike Kissme’s 8MP rear shooter, Valencia comes with a 13MP sensor at the back. However, both have the same 8MP shooter up front. Also, their rear cameras have LED flash besides them which can come in handy especially in low light.
As for the battery, DG580 comes with a 2500 mAh battery pack while the DG800 Valencia has a 2000 mAh one.
It looks Cube plans to skip pure 4G products and go straight to the 64-bit 4G Age. Cube recently introduced a new phone called the Cube T7. This product, which uses the MT8752 octa-core chipset, is not part of the Talk series but is still considered a cellphone tablet due to its large screen and cellphone functions.
Sources recently released many renderings of the T7 that showcase the phone’s design which looks similar to a regular cellphone’s.
The T7 sports a 7-inch JDI display screen with a 1920 x 1200 resolution making it possibly Cube’s most powerful screen yet. But that’s not the T7’s selling point. It may possibly use a 64-bit octa-core LTE tablet solution from MTK by becoming the first device to use the MT8752 which can allow the T7 to access dual-4G networks and is compatible with WCDMA/TD-SCDMA/GSM. It also supports five modes and 15 channels.
After more than half a year since its last release, Callbar Mobile has released its first 4G cellphone, the Callbar T58, which went on sale today. Those interested can buy them in Callbar’s official online store and it looks cheaper than previously reported.

The T58 uses the MT6582 and MT6290 processors, supports TD-LTE, TD-SCDMA, and GSM, and uses single SIM. It also sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA display screen and 2mp camera. It also has 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM as well as a 1950mAh battery. Its OS is the Android 4.42. It also has a gravitational sensor.
Google and Mediatek have started working together to release the Android One platform, providing powerful but affordable Android smartphones to consumers from emerging nations. Both companies will also help cellphone manufacturers simplify production by quickly implementing their global super mid-market plan.
MTK’s General Manager for Corporate Marketting, Mohit Bhushan, said, “MTK has always strived to produce high-quality smart devices and sell them at affordable prices. Our product roadmap showing our low-, mid-, and high-end series is the greatest evidence that we kept our word. By working closely with Google on the Android One, we are able to come up with solutions that encompass software, hardware, and testing. This reflects MTK’s goal to bring our technology to every corner of the globe and allow consumers to make use of them, unleash their potential, and create endless possibilities (Everyday Genius). On September 12, the 6-inch Huawei Mate 7 flagship phone was launched leaving audiences in awe with its metal case, very thin frame, and green gold color. This phone goes on sale at Huawei’s official store tomorrow at 10:08 AM.
Now, we received this unopened package of the Mate 7. The phone’s leather protector looks very interesting. There is a hole in the front and there are three holes at the back. When you close the protector, the magnets in those holes keep it shut.
When you close the case, the screen lights up showing the time, and weather, and even letting the user play music.
Doogee DG580 comes with a number of special features that you don’t normally get in this range of smartphones to improve the overall experience of the user.
When you receive a call you can answer it by simply putting it close to your ear or even by swinging it horizontally. And if you want to silence a call, just place the phone on the table with the screen below and your phone will be silenced.
You don’t even have to use the power button to turn on the display as a gentle tap on the screen will do and just double press the home button to turn off the display.
Doogee has also included a number of customizable wake gestures to launch an app directly from the screen. All you have to do is draw the specified letter on screen to open up the app. For example, if you draw the letter C, the camera will open up instantly. These letters are customizable, so you can set assign your favorite apps to specified alphabets to launch it from the lock screen.
“The best big-screen phone to date! And it’s worth more than 5000 RMB!”—Yu Chengdong, August 26
On September 4, the Huawei Mate 7 was formally launched in Berlin, Germany (It was launched in China yesterday). Before its launch, Yu Chengdong said these words.
How could he be so confident? Let’s look at the Mate 7’s features: 6-inch screen, very high screen-to-body ratio, metal case, the new Emotion UI 3.0 OS, fingerprint recognition (the first Android phone to have such a feature)…
So, how does the Mate 7 fare? Here’s our review.
Besides the upgrades to the screen, many will also like the fact that the Huawei Mate 7 sports a metal case that covers 95% of the phone’s body. Because it is a big-screen phone, it weighs 185g despite the fact that the metal use is aluminium alloy. Although it’s a bit heavy, it’s a bit lighter than other phones like it.
The version being reviewed is the green gold edition. Users can also buy a grey or white edition.
The Mate 7’s upper frame is only 10.3mm. Without the screen panel, it would only be 8.9mm wide, which makes it stand out among other phones that are known to have a high screen-to-body ratio.
6-inch screen: Thin frame, high screen-to-body ratio
These days, more and more cellphone companies are producing thin cellphones with a very high screen-to-body ratio. With a thickness of 2.9mm and a screen-to-body ratio of over 83%, the Huawei Mate 7 is on par with the 5.7-inch Note 3. The resulting screen quality is excellent.
Huawei upgraded the resolution from 720p in the last generation to 1080p.
Left to right: Vivo Xshot, Mate 7, OnePlus One
Emotion UI 3.0
Huawei’s new OS upgrade, the Emotion UI 3.0 is finally here. This system is based on the Android 4.4.2 and the Mate 7 is the first phone to use it.
Since the Huawei Mate 7 supports fingerprint recognition, users can unlock their phone by pressing their finger on the fingerprint scanner at the back. If it fails to recognize your fingerprint after three attempts, you can just type your password. After 6 attempts, you will have to wait for 30 seconds before trying again.
When you pull your finger down on a certain program and hold it, a new interface appears. Huawei calls it the “Lazy” mode. This allows you to look at the contents of most of the apps without accessing them. For example, if you pull down the dial page, you can see the “My information” table. When you pull down the photo gallery program, you’ll immediately go to the camera interface. This way, you can take photos quickly.
Fingerprint scanner
The Huawei Mate 7’s most notable feature is its fingerprint scanner. Users can lock/unlock the phone, take photos, and even make purchases using fingerprint recognition. It’s good for security purposes as it can identify the user with his or her fingerprint. The Mate 7 is the first Android phone to have this feature and according to official reports, its recognition speed is faster than the iPhone S5’s.
Kirin 925: Performance and endurance tests
The difference between the Kirin 925 and the Kirin 920 is not great. It is still composed of four Cortex-A7 and four Cortex-A15. It’s just that the main frequency has been increased from 1.7 GHz to 1.8 GHz. It also still uses the Mali-T628 MP4 GPU. As a result, the Kirin 925 only offers a slightly better performance than the 920.
The true strength of the Kirin 925 lies in its i3 sensor chip which is similar to the iPhone 5S’ M& chip. It can collect all data from the phone’s sensors and save more power.
It scored 42274 points in the Antutu 5.0 benchmark test.
As for endurance, the Mate 7 has a 4100 mAh battery. After playing a video for 30 minutes, the power only decreases by 4%, which means that users can watch a 12 hour video or about 18 episodes of a TV series. By the end of the day, there is still 44% left in the battery. This phone’s endurance is pretty good.
Internet
There are editions for China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom, all of which are 4G-supported (the Telecom edition has a baseband). There is also a open-channel edition. This version is granted access by the Kirin 925’s baseband to networks like TDD-LTE, FDD-LTE, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, and GSM.
The China Mobile version, at most, has a transmission speed of 300 mbps. It also has a downstream spead of 12.25 Mbps and upstream speed of 5.29MBps, which are equal to download speeds of 1.5Mb/s and 660KB/s.
Camera has translation program
The Mate 7 sports a 13mp camera with Sony BSI 4. It also has a f/2.0 aperture and 28mm wide-angle 5mp lens. One feature lets the camera focus after taking the photo. It also has a translator program that translates any text that the camera points to.
The following were photos taken using the Huawei Mate 7:
Overall, the Huawei Mate 7 is a versatile phone with its metal case, 6-inch screen, Emotion UI 3.0, fingerprint scanner, and 4G internet connection.

Reports say that the N3 will continue to use the promotional camera used in the N1, will have upgraded features, and will use a VOOC charger (4x faster than a regular charger and can charge up to 75% in 30 minutes). It will also sport a 2K (estimated 2.5D) screen.
Foreign news site, Gsmarena, received an exclusive snapshot of the OPPO N3 and it looks like the best-designed cellphone in China right now.
The N3 will also sport a revolving camera. Its screen will be designed with speakers on both sides, a rare design for a cellphone and will have a dual-LED light.
