One UI 7 Beta with Android 15 delayed till September

Samsung‘s rollout strategy for its software updates appears to be hitting a snag. A new report suggests the One UI 7 beta program based on Android has further been delayed. Originally expected to arrive sometime in August, the beta program is now rumored to be pushed back to September.

This delay seems to be linked to Samsung’s ongoing rollout of One UI 6.1.1, itself facing an indefinite postponement. According to reports from SamMobile, the company is waiting for a wider release of One UI 6.1.1 before kicking off the One UI 7 beta. However, the situation surrounding One UI 6.1.1 is far from clear.

Samsung has only officially announced the update for the recently released Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6. Yet, SamMobile’s report mentions an expansion to “more countries,” leaving users in other regions uncertain about their update timeline.

Further muddying the waters, the outlet claims that the One UI 6.1.1 rollout has started for the Galaxy A34, but offers no concrete evidence to back that claim. SamMobile did share a screenshot showing the Galaxy A34 receiving Circle to Search support through an update, but the OS version in the update is One UI 6.1, not One UI 6.1.1.

Samsung typically announces major One UI updates through press releases before the actual rollout. As of now, there has been no official communication regarding One UI 6.1.1, leaving many questions unanswered.

Despite the lack of official confirmation, a September launch for the One UI 7 beta seems like a reasonable possibility. Likewise, it’s likely that Samsung will finally initiate the rollout of One UI 6.1.1 in the near future. However, with the absence of concrete information, it’s best to view these reports with a cautious eye.

Oppo Find X8, X8 Pro key specifications, global launch timeline leaked

The Oppo Find X7 series of smartphones, which debuted in January of this year, has remained exclusive to the Chinese market. What about the Find X8 lineup? Will it debut outside of China? A new report by SmartPrix has revealed the global launch timeline of the Find X8 series.

Oppo Find X8, X8 Pro global launch timeline

Mock render of the Find X8

Reports have revealed that the Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro will be launching in October of this year in China. As far as the Find X8 Ultra is concerned, it is expected to break cover in January 2025 in the home market.

According to the report, the Find X8 will tentatively launch in the global market, including India, in October. However, the report remains uncertain about the global release of the X8 Pro. Nevertheless, both devices are expected to launch in markets outside of China. The report does not say specifically about the global launch of the Find X8 Ultra. Therefore, the global launch of the Find X8 Ultra remains uncertain.

Oppo Find X8, Find X8 Pro specifications (rumored)

The Find X8 and X8 Pro will feature the Dimensity 9400 chipset, which is expected to launch in October of this year. According to the report, the Find X8 will have a 6.7-inch flat OLED display, while the Find X8 Pro will sport a 6.8x-inch micro-curved OLED screen. Both displays support a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The report contradicts recent claims that the Find X8 will have a smaller 6.5 or 6.6-inch screen.

The Find X8 will feature a 5,600mAh battery, while the Find X8 Pro will have a 5,700mAh battery. Both devices will support 100W wired charging. There’s no word about the wireless charging capabilities of the X8 duo.

The Find X8’s rear camera setup will have a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 3x periscope telephoto camera. On the other hand, the Pro model will have a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 3x telephoto lens, and a 10x periscope telephoto camera.

The Find X8 and X8 Pro have a glass back. Both devices are expected to be available in black, white, and blue shades. The standard model is also tipped to arrive in a pink variant.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and S10 Ultra first promo image leaks, seemingly confirms there will be no vanilla model

There have been rumors that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 line will include only two models, and now a leaked promo image seems to confirm this. It looks like Samsung is focusing solely on the Galaxy Tab S10+ and S10 Ultra for the next generation, which means we likely won’t see a standard Galaxy Tab S10 model in this lineup.

Both the Plus and Ultra models appear nearly identical to their S9 counterparts. The Ultra retains the decisive display notch, while the Plus sticks with a notch-free design.  The leaked image shows the Plus in Silver and the Ultra in Graphite colorway. Aside from this, it doesn’t reveal much else about their specs.

Thanks to the tablet’s appearance on a few certification sites, we know a few details about them. According to China’s 3C certification, the Tab S10 models will come with 45W wired charging supports, just like the S9 series. Disappointingly, the charger will likely be sold separately, continuing a trend that has become increasingly common among flagship devices.

The biggest surprise—or perhaps lack thereof—comes with the processor. Leaks suggest that the S10+ and Ultra will use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ SoC.

Samsung has always favored Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon chip for its Galaxy Tab S line. Things seem to be changing as this will be the first time we’ll see a MediaTek processor in this series.

The tablets are expected to launch in October, around the same time MediaTek is likely to introduce the Dimensity 9400 processor. Thus, not only will the Galaxy Tab S10 series use a MediaTek chip, but it also won’t feature the most up-to-date processor.

So far, the leaks suggest a conservative update for the Galaxy Tab S10 series. We’ll have to wait for official details from Samsung to confirm these leaks and get a clearer picture of what the Galaxy Tab S10 series truly offers.

A report by 91mobiles claims that the Moto G55 will come in a single variant offering 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of built-in storage. It will be available in Grey, Green, and Purple. At present, there is no information available about the core specifications of the device.

The same report states that the G35 will arrive in 4GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB variants. It is likely to have colors like Red, Green, and Black. A recent report claimed that it will have the Unisoc T760 chip, 8 G of RSM, Android 14, and a 5,000mAh battery with 20W charging,

The Moto G55 5G will succeed the Moto G54, which debuted in September 2023. Hence, it seems that the G55 may go official around the same time this year. As far as the G35 is concerned, it is also expected to debut soon in different markets.

Samsung will announce the Galaxy S24 FE with Exynos 2400e processor in all regions

An interesting Geekbench result surprised us a lot. Usually, Samsung would prefer to use the Snapdragon processor for the US, Korea and other countries. But we expect this to change with the Galaxy S24 FE model. A new geekbench result referring to the American version of the S24 FE shows that this smartphone will be released with Exynos 2400e. In a surprising move, Samsung has chosen to use the Exynos processor in all regions.

Galaxy S24 FE comes with Exynos 2400e in all regions

The Galaxy S24 FE is confirmed to come with Exynos 2400e on geekbench. Compared to the Exynos 2400, the only difference is that the Cortex-X4 core with a top speed of 3.2GHz has been reduced to 3.11GHz. This will allow the smartphone to offer a longer battery life. Samsung is actually lowering the clock speed here in a reasonable way. There is nothing wrong with this. Most surprising is that Samsung will offer the Exynos 2400e processor in the S24 FE to users in the US. Samsung is taking an interesting step.

The SM-S721U is the version of the S24 FE that will be sold in the US. The Geekbench result shows that the device will come with an Exynos processor having the model number S5E9945. S5E9945 is the Exynos 2400. When we take a closer look at this resulting test, we see that the highest-performance core has been reduced to 3.11GHz. Although this is not fair, users thought that users in America would get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor. In short, Galaxy S24 FE will come with the Exynos 2400e processor in all regions.

Everyone should know that the Galaxy S24 FE will be introduced in the near future, we hope that the new smartphone will be available at an affordable price and will delight all users. We want Samsung to improve the power efficiency of Exynos processors. This is important for the brand to increase the reliability of Exynos chips. For this reason, we must say that we are looking forward to Galaxy S25 models featuring Exynos 2500.

Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 is under development, seen in Mi Code

Xiaomi is making significant progress with its new user interface HyperOS. As the company continues to develop and refine HyperOS, fans and developers are keeping a close eye on changes in the code. Recently, during the review of HyperOS Android 15 Beta 3, a new and exciting discovery was made that points to the upcoming release of HyperOS 2.0.

Xiaomi is already developing HyperOS 2.0

The XiaomiTime team has found interesting details about HyperOS 2.0. The new interface will be based on Android versions 14 and 15 and is expected to be released on many Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO smartphones. While exploring the system’s code, a new line was found that wasn’t present in either HyperOS 1.5 or Android 15 Beta 2. The specific line of code reads:

This little line may seem simple, but it is a strong sign that Xiaomi is preparing for the release of HyperOS 2.0. This suggests that the company is working hard on the next major version of HyperOS and optimizing to fix issues in the current version.

Switching from MIUI 15 to HyperOS 2.0

Initially, Xiaomi had planned to launch a new version of MIUI, known as MIUI 15. However, they later decided to introduce MIUI 15 as “HyperOS 1.0” instead. Due to this change, some signs of MIUI 15 code remained in the system. These remnants could indicate that Xiaomi is in a transition phase, moving away from MIUI and fully adopting HyperOS, or you can look at HyperOS 2.0 as MIUI 16.

The discoveries about HyperOS 2 further confirm that Xiaomi is now focusing on something beyond MIUI. The system codes no longer point to MIUI 15, instead showing the development of HyperOS 2.0.

This change also marks the end of MIUI, with Xiaomi fully embracing the HyperOS name and vision. By focusing on HyperOS, Xiaomi can simplify the development of new software and provide a better experience across all its devices.

As we await the official release of HyperOS 2.0, it’s clear that Xiaomi has taken significant steps forward in the development of its operating system. We will continue to bring you the latest news on what you can expect from Xiaomi’s next-generation user interface.

Galaxy S25 Ultra tipped to boast larger display paired with slimmer bezels

Samsung‘s Galaxy S25 series is rumored to launch in January next year, but details have already started surfacing. The latest news concerns the display size and dimensions of the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Tipster Ice Universe has shared an image comparing the dimensions and display size of the S25 Ultra with its predecessor. According to the image, the upcoming device will be slightly narrower, measuring 77.6mm wide instead of 79mm. However, the display panel’s width is expected to increase from 72.3mm to 73mm.

This means the Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature 2.3mm side bezels, significantly slimmer than the S24 Ultra’s 3.35mm side bezels – a nearly 30% reduction. The diagram also suggests that the S25 Ultra will have symmetrical bezels on all four sides, possibly leading to slimmer top and bottom bezels as well.

Overall, the S25 Ultra is expected to pack a larger display, measuring 6.86″, up from its predecessor’s 6.79″. There are also rumors that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will have slightly rounded corners, which could enhance comfort and bring more consistency to the design of the Galaxy S25 lineup.

This change could also be intended to bring more consistency between the designs of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. In recent generations, the S Ultra models have looked significantly different from the other models in the lineup. The company has already unified the camera island design across all models, starting with the Galaxy S23 series.

However, the information from Ice Universe remains speculative, and Samsung may still make changes before the official launch. As such, details about the display size and bezels should be taken with a pinch of salt.

In terms of performance, the phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, which is expected to be announced in October this year.

Before we check out those other devices, let’s have a look at the key specs of the Oppo F27 5G. The device launched with an attractive and durable armor body design and the Cosmos Ring, which houses Halo Light. Meanwhile, the front sports a tall 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and 2,100 nits of peak brightness. Other notable features include Dimensity 6300, a 5000mAh battery, 45W fast charging, a 50MP dual camera setup, and an IP64 rating. Now, we can check out the top 5 alternatives:

1. Nothing Phone 2a

Nothing Phone 2a

Nothing announced the Phone 2a as its first-ever mid-range model. Just like the Oppo F27 5G, you get a tall 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. But what sets it apart is the transparent design with LED lighting on the rear. For just 23,999, you get a more unique design along with a better camera system.

The rear features two 50-megapixel cameras for the main and an ultra-wide-angle lens, not a 2-megapixel Marco sensor. Under the hood, Nothing Phone 2a is equipped with the Dimesnity 7200 Pro SoC and is powered by a 5,000mAh cell with 45W fast charging support.

2. Motorola Edge 50 Fusion

Motorola also targets this price range with the Moto Edge 50 Fusion. It is currently listed in India for 22,999 INR, which is identical to the Oppo F27 5G. However, you once again get a 50-megapixel main camera camera and a 13-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera at the back. That’s not all, there is also an eco-leather variant, which offers a premium feel.

Unlike the other Phone 2a and F27 5G, the Edge 50 Fusion features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. The battery pack is a sizeable 5,000mAh cell, which supports 68W wired fast charging. So in terms of pure specs, this is one of the best alternatives to the Oppo F27.

3. iQOO Z7

One of the more affordable options on this list is the iQOO Z7. This mid-range model was announced last year for 18,999 INR for its 6GB + 128GB version, but its 8GB + 128GB variant costs 8GB + 128 GB. Under the hood, there is an aging Dimensity 920 SoC and a 4,500mAh battery pack that supports 44W wired fast charging.

For photography, there is a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor on the rear. Meanwhile, the front sports a 6.38-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. So it also has the smallest screen out of the 5 alternatives.

4. Realme 13 Pro

From Realme’s popular numbered series, we have the Realme 13 Pro which was released for a 26,999 INR starting price tag. Similar to the Edge 50 Fusion, it packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset as well. The Realme 13 Pro is powered by a massive 5,200mAh cell that supports 80W wired fast charging.

So while it is pricier than the Oppo F27 5G, you do get some better specs and a vegan leather option. The smartphone sports a tall 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. At the back, there is a 50-megapixel primary camera along with an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens.
