The HONOR Watch 6 goes with a classic round watch face, roughly 46mm across. The bezel is metal with a dark gunmetal or black finish, and it’s got those dive-watch style numbers around the watch.

The screen is a 1.46-inch AMOLED panel at 464×464 resolution, so you get those deep blacks and punchy colors you’d expect from this type of display. On the right side there’s a single crown with some texture for grip—you can twist it and press it to navigate around the interface.

Size-wise, it’s pretty much what you’d expect from a modern smartwatch. Not super thin, not chunky either. The overall look is more sporty than dressy, which makes sense given the fitness tracking angle. The design plays it safe—round case, metal bezel, rubber strap. Since this is a review unit, I don’t know if there will be more straps to go with it.

Materials and Build Quality

I don’t know the material of the case, might be stainless steel or something similar based on the finish and machining quality. That circular sensor module at the back are arranged in the typical pattern for optical heart rate tracking.

Water resistance is rated at 5ATM plus IP69, which means you’re good for swimming down to 50 meters and it can handle high-pressure water jets and dust. That’s solid for anyone who swims or gets caught in rough weather. The IP69 part is actually worth noting since it covers high-pressure, high-temperature water jets—not just casual splashes. So if you’re the type who rinses off gear after a workout, this watch can take that kind of abuse.

Hardware and Specs

Bluetooth 5.4 handles the wireless side, which is the current standard and should give decent battery efficiency and stable connections. NFC is in there too, so contactless payments work wherever that’s supported. In practice, that means Google Pay or similar services if you’re in a region where HONOR has those partnerships set up.

There’s a built-in speaker and mic, meaning you can take calls and use voice assistants when paired with your phone. GPS is onboard with multi-satellite support, so you don’t need your phone for tracking runs or rides. The multi-system part usually means it taps into GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, or BeiDou—helpful when you’re in cities with tall buildings or under tree cover where single-system GPS can get flaky.

Text and icons look sharp enough on the screen, and the AMOLED panel means true blacks that blend into the bezel when the screen shows dark content. Brightness levels outdoors are very good also.

The built-in GPS covers the basics—running, cycling, walking—with route tracking that doesn’t need your phone. Having multiple satellite systems helps with accuracy when the signal gets tricky, like downtown or in the woods, it’s genuinely useful if you do outdoor workouts.

There’s AI-powered workout assistance baked in, and the watch face already shows step count as part of the daily tracking. The AI part likely means automatic workout detection—so if you start running, the watch figures it out rather than making you manually start a session. How well that works in practice varies by activity type and individual movement patterns. The 5ATM rating means swimming is fair game too, though the images don’t show any pool-specific metrics on the display.

Health Monitoring

The back of the watch runs optical heart rate monitoring through PPG sensors. It tracks continuously or on-demand depending on your settings. SpO2 tracking uses the same hardware, shining red and infrared light to measure blood oxygen levels.

Stress monitoring works off heart rate variability, basically looking at how your heart rate bounces around to estimate your stress levels. Sleep tracking combines movement data from the accelerometer with HRV readings to guess at sleep stages—light, deep, REM, awake. Just keep in mind that all this optical stuff depends on how well the watch sits on your wrist and how tight you wear it. Too loose and the sensors lose contact; too tight and it’s uncomfortable for sleep. Finding that sweet spot takes some trial and error.

The health data gets fed into HONOR Health app or integration with third-party platforms. How useful all this data actually is depends on what you do with it. Having 30 days of heart rate graphs is neat, but if you’re not acting on the insights, it becomes background noise.

Battery and Charging

HONOR claims up to 35 days of battery life. This has to be the best battery life among all the smart watch category. I honestly don’t know how they achieve that, but give that HONOR has invested a lot of time into the battery tech, it is believable in my opinion. In real-world use with notifications, regular tracking, and maybe a couple GPS workouts per week, expect way less than that max number.

Charging is through the magnetic pin dock. It’s not as convenient as wireless Qi, but it’s reliable and usually charges faster. When charging, I think it is fairly fast.

Wrap-Up

The HONOR Watch 6 sits in that mid-to-premium zone with specs that match what else is out there right now. The AMOLED screen is nice, multi-satellite GPS is genuinely useful for outdoor types, and the health sensor array covers the usual bases without getting into medical-grade territory. That 35-day battery claim is impressive, we will see if it lives to the words.

The water resistance is legit for swimming, and the added NFC, speaker, and mic push it beyond just a fitness tracker into smartwatch territory. How well the smart features actually work day-to-day will depend on the software and what services are available where you live. It’s a competent package that doesn’t try to reinvent anything—just executes the standard smartwatch formula with decent hardware, and a round face that looks more like a traditional watch than a tech gadget.

Qualcomm’s latest mid-range chipset, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, just showed up in Geekbench testing, giving us an early look at what to expect from upcoming mid-range phones.

Announced last month as the successor to the 6 Gen 4, this chip is expected to power devices like the Redmi Note series and others later this year. It recently appeared in benchmarking results on a device listed as the Honor X80 Pro Max (model BSN-AN00).

The CPU scores are pretty modest. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 posted a single-core result of 1,095 and a multi-core score of 3,355. For comparison, the previous-gen Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 in the Honor Magic 8 Lite scored around 1,112 single-core and 3,124 multi-core. So basically, there’s very little improvement in raw CPU performance.

That said, there are some positive points. The test device was running with 8GB of RAM on Android 16, and the chipset uses a new Adreno 812 GPU. Qualcomm claims this GPU is about 20% more powerful than the one in the 6 Gen 4, which could mean smoother gaming and fewer stutters in day-to-day use.

Official specs mention a Kryo CPU with peak speeds up to 2.6 GHz, support for LPDDR5 memory, and features like the Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0. Qualcomm is highlighting better app launch speeds, improved power efficiency, and tools like Snapdragon Game Super Resolution. There’s also an updated 5G modem for better connectivity.

Overall, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 doesn’t look like a huge performance leap on paper, especially in CPU terms. If it reaches the market, a 14,000mAh cell would easily dwarf standard flagships. For context, that capacity is nearly three times the size of the iPhone 17 Pro’s 4,252 mAh battery. Despite the sheer size of the cell, the leak suggests the phone will weigh in at around 220g. That is on the heavier side for a smartphone, but surprisingly manageable given the hardware inside.

Honor has a clear track record in this specific niche. The company’s Win Turbo crossed the 10,000mAh threshold earlier this year, and its recent X80 Pro Max shipped with an 11,000mAh battery alongside a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, managed over 26 hours of continuous livestreaming. The 14,000mAh upgrade would naturally stretch that endurance even further.

The broader industry is also paying attention to battery anxiety. Alongside the Honor leak, the tipster said that Huawei is developing a separate smartphone centered around an ultra-large battery, satellite communication, and a strict power-saving mode.

We don’t yet know which specific Honor lineup this new 14,000mAh phone will fall under, or when it will officially launch. Honor announced the Earbuds 5e in China today, launching the new audio hardware alongside its X80 Pro Max smartphone.

Honor Earbuds 5e Specifications

The earbuds use a standard semi-in-ear design with a stem. They weigh 4 grams each and have an IP54 rating for basic dust and water resistance. Inside, Honor is using a 12mm dynamic driver with a diamond-like carbon diaphragm. This material is more rigid than standard titanium or gold coatings, which is intended to limit audio distortion. For audio quality, they support the LHDC 5.0 codec and are Hi-Res Audio certified, allowing for 24-bit audio transmission.

The earbuds feature adaptive active noise cancellation that automatically adjusts to your surrounding environment. The system can reduce noise by up to 52dB at its peak, with an average reduction of 28dB across the frequency range. For phone calls, each earbud includes three microphones that use AI algorithms to filter out background noise, alongside wind suppression for speeds of up to 6m/s.

In terms of battery life, the earbuds provide up to nine hours of playback with ANC turned off, and the 550mAh USB-C charging case brings the total up to 45 hours. If you leave ANC on, playback drops to 5.5 hours for the buds and 28 hours total. It also features fast charging and a 10-minute charge adds about three hours of listening time.

Honor included several software features, though the more advanced ones require a compatible Honor smartphone. These include an AI translation tool that works with 15 languages and a meeting assistant that can transcribe and translate recordings. Otherwise, the earbuds offer standard touch and swipe controls, wear detection to auto-pause music, and dual-device connectivity to link a phone and a computer simultaneously.

The Earbuds 5e come in Moonlight White and Midnight Black. They are available for pre-order in China now, with regular sales starting June 26th. Early buyers can get them for an introductory price of 299 yuan ($44) before the cost returns to the regular 349 yuan ($52).

Honor also confirmed the phone will run on its new Hummingbird Architecture 2.0. According to the company, this update can make short-video playback up to 40% smoother, and it also handles memory cleanup in the background to keep the phone running smoothly over time.

On durability, the X80 Pro Max has earned SGS’s Gold Label Five-Star rating for drop resistance, surviving falls from up to 3 meters. To back this up, Honor is rolling out a free screen replacement service for drop damage, something the brand says is a first for the industry.

Huawei remains firmly in control of China’s foldable smartphone market, but Honor is starting to chip away at its lead.

Fresh IDC figures for Q1 2026, shared by Honor Global CMO Guan Haitao on Weibo, show Huawei holding a dominant 60% share of China’s foldable segment. Honor came in second with 21%, continuing the momentum generated by its Magic V lineup.

The rest of the market trails well behind. Oppo captured 6%, while Vivo and Xiaomi accounted for 5% and 4% respectively. Combined, Huawei and Honor now control more than four-fifths of China’s foldable market.

The company has consistently led the category over the past year thanks to strong demand for its Mate and Pura foldables, along with the growing reach of its HarmonyOS ecosystem. Back in Q3 2025, Huawei’s share was close to 70%.

What stands out in the latest numbers is Honor’s progress. Its share has nearly doubled from the 11.2% recorded in Q3 2025, helped by newer devices such as the Magic V6, which has attracted attention for its slim design and flagship-level hardware.

The broader smartphone market in China wasn’t as healthy. IDC estimates total shipments fell 3.3% year-over-year in the first quarter to around 69 million units, with higher component costs and supply-chain pressures weighing on demand.

Foldables, though, continue to outperform the wider market. Consumer interest in premium devices remains strong, and manufacturers are still finding ways to improve the experience with thinner designs, less visible creases, and better battery life.

Industry data from late 2025 already hinted at this trend. Foldable shipments reached 2.63 million units in Q3, up 17.8% from a year earlier, and that momentum appears to have carried into 2026.

Honor’s Win series now has a third member. After launching the Honor Win and Win RT last year, the company has now introduced the new Honor Win Turbo in China, and like the rest of the lineup, battery is the main highlight here.

The Honor Win Turbo arrives with a massive 10,000mAh battery, like its other sibling. Honor says the phone can deliver more than 14 hours of gaming or over 22 hours of short video playback on a single charge. The company has paired the battery with 80W wired fast charging and 27W reverse charging support.

Despite the large battery, the phone is still relatively slim at 7.98mm thick and weighs 216 grams.

Honor Win Turbo Specifications

The device comes with a 6.79-inch flat LTPS OLED display with a 2640 x 1200 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Honor is also advertising up to 8,000 nits peak brightness alongside 3840Hz PWM dimming and its Oasis eye protection technology.

Inside, the Win Turbo runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Elite processor, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Configurations go up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

On the camera side, the phone includes a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, a secondary 5-megapixel rear camera, and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

The design follows the same horizontal camera layout seen on earlier Win devices, although the camera arrangement itself has been slightly redesigned. One noticeable change this year is the absence of the cooling fan that shipped with the previous two Win series models.

Honor is also adding several extra features, including IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings, dual stereo speakers, a Z-axis vibration motor, a C1+ RF enhancement chip, and second-generation Hongyan communication technology.

The Honor Win Turbo comes in three colors: Fast Gameplay, Win by Choice, and Blue Fearless.

Pricing starts at 3,299 yuan (around $486) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model. The 12GB and 512GB version costs 3,599 yuan (around $530), while the top-end 16GB and 512GB variant is priced at 4,199 yuan (around $619).

Back in February, a leak revealed the key details of the Honor X80 smartphone. Now, a new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that a new Honor X-series phone is tentatively scheduled to launch in China in June. While the tipster has not explicitly mentioned the device’s name, it appears that it could be the Honor X80. Here’s a look at what the latest leak reveals.

Honor X80 key specifications tipped

According to the leak, the Honor X80 will feature a 6.8-inch LTPS OLED display with a flat design. The screen is expected to offer a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the device is said to pack a massive 10,000mAh+ battery with support for 90W fast charging. While Honor has already launched a couple of smartphones with 10,000mAh+ batteries, this would be the first X-series model to feature such a large battery.

The Honor X80 is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 6-series chipset, which could be the recently announced Snapdragon 6 Gen 5. Similar to its predecessor, the device is also tipped to feature a shock-resistant body.

The leak further claims that the Honor X80 will be available in colour options such as Mystic Black, Moonlight White, Lightning Red, and Vibrant Orange. According to the tipster, the device could perform strongly in the Chinese market, as last year’s Honor X70 reportedly sold nearly 7 million units.

For reference, the Honor X70 featured a 6.79-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It was powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset and packed an 8,300mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. Honor also offered wireless charging on the X70’s 512GB storage variant.

A report yesterday suggested that Oppo could be preparing Android’s first flagship with a square selfie camera. That may no longer be the case. A new leak from Digital Chat Station claims Honor is also testing a similar setup for the Honor Magic 9.

The tipster suggests that the upcoming Honor Magic 9 is currently testing several new camera sensors, including multiple 200MP main camera options and a new high-resolution front camera system.

The prototype is said to include two different 200MP main sensor options: the OV52A/OV52B at 1/1.28-inch size and the larger OVB0D at 1/1.12-inch. These sensors are being evaluated as possible primary cameras for the final device. 

Rounding out the rear setup, for now, is a 64MP periscope telephoto lens using the OmniVision OV64D sensor with a 1/2-inch format.

This isn’t the first time the OV64D periscope sensor has surfaced in relation to the Magic 9. An earlier leak from the same tipster had already pointed to the OmniVision chip for the device’s telephoto slot. 

The previous report also revealed a rear camera arrangement featuring a 200MP shooter with a 1/2.8-inch sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. Today’s new information aligns with and expands on those earlier claims.

Perhaps the most interesting claim is regarding the front camera. The Magic 9 is reportedly being evaluated with a 100MP OVA0B sensor measuring 1/1.8 inches, but it won’t ship in that form.

According to the leak, the image will be cropped into a 1:1 square aspect ratio, which should effectively reduce the resolution and pixel size but produce a distinctly square selfie output.

Beyond cameras, earlier reports suggest the Magic 9 series may include a compact 6.36-inch OLED display, a large battery of around 8,000mAh, and testing with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 platform. It is also expected to offer IP68/IP69 protection and ultrasonic fingerprint scanning.

There is also a mention that ARRI may be working with Honor to improve video processing and cinematic output on the Magic 9 lineup.

The Honor Magic 9 series is currently expected to launch in China around October, though specifications could still change as testing continues.

A leak from tipster Digital Chat Station in January this year suggested that the Honor Magic 9 could feature a 6.36-inch display, while the Magic 9 Pro/Pro Max could be equipped with a 6.85-inch display. Today, the tipster shared a new Weibo post revealing additional details about the Magic 9.

Honor Magic 9’s key details tipped

According to the leak, the Honour Magic 9 features a 6.36-inch OLED LTPS display and is currently being tested with Qualcomm’s existing 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, not the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series as previously expected.

The Magic 9 is also said to pack a large battery that could start with an 8,000mAh capacity, which would be unusually high for a compact flagship. While it is said to support wireless charging, there is no information about the supported charging speeds. Other reports have also revealed that the Magic 9 will also offer full-level water resistance and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The leaked prototype is further tipped to feature a 64MP periscope telephoto camera, reportedly using the OmniVision OV64D sensor. Other expected features include an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint scanner along with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

A previous leak by the same source revealed that, apart from the 64-megapixel periscope camera, its rear setup will include a 200-megapixel camera featuring a 1/2.8-inch large sensor and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. Reports have also revealed that Honor will team up with German professional cinema industry brand ARRI to offer an enhanced videography experience on the Magic 9 lineup.

As far as the launch is concerned, the Honor Magic 9 series is expected to break cover in October this year in China.

Some of the most exciting phones in the world right now are ones you simply cannot walk into a store and buy, not if you live in the United States, anyway. While Americans are busy debating iPhone versus Pixel, a whole other tier of smartphones is being sold in China, Europe, and parts of Asia that would make your current device feel embarrassingly ordinary. 

These phones push cameras, screens, and designs further than anything available at your local carrier store. You just can’t have them. Well, not easily.

To be clear, this isn’t a list of what’s coming soon or what might launch in the US someday. These are phones you can buy right now, just not in the US. Some are blocked due to trade restrictions. Others never made the trip because the manufacturers decided the market wasn’t worth the trouble. A few exist in a legal grey area that makes importing them genuinely complicated. Whatever the reason, they’re out there, and they’re good. Really good.

So if you’re curious what the rest of the world is using. Or if you’re the kind of person who’s already Googling import guides, here’s what you’re missing.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra

Xiaomi has been building its partnership with Leica for a few years, and the 17 Ultra is where that work really pays off. The main camera sits on a one-inch sensor, and we called it one of the most ambitious smartphones of the year after getting hands-on time with it at launch.

What sets it apart from the usual flagship camera race is the Leica Essential mode, which gives photos their emotions back. Rather than chasing sharpness and perfect accuracy, it pulls back highlights, lets shadows breathe, and adds a subtle grain that makes images feel like they were taken with a real camera rather than optimised by a computer. It’s a genuinely different philosophy, and it works.

The battery is the biggest in any Xiaomi Ultra device yet, and the phone is rated for dust and water resistance at three separate ingress protection levels. It starts at around €1,249 in Europe.

Oppo Find X9 Ultra

The Find X9 Ultra is Oppo’s most powerful phone yet, and it comes with a camera setup that looks borderline excessive on paper. Two 200-megapixel sensors, a third 50-megapixel periscope, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide. 

So as you might guess, the Find X9 Ultra targets the ultra-premium segment, competing directly with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Vivo X300 Ultra as one of the most camera-forward phones on the market.

The Hasselblad tuning on the camera gives the results a more natural, less processed quality that’s different from what Samsung or Google serve up. The Find X9 Ultra leans into a more expressive design with eco-leather options that give a tactile, character-driven feel.

It starts at Rs 169,999 in India, or about $1,776 at current exchange rates. Not cheap, but then again, you’re getting four cameras, with two of them shooting at 200 megapixels.

Vivo X300 Ultra

Vivo has been making some of the most interesting camera phones in the world for a couple of years now, and the X300 Ultra continues that streak. Though the upgrades this year are just too incremental. 

Our first impression of the phone was that it might as well be called the X200s Ultra. Not to say the improvements aren’t noticeable, but modest compared to the generational leap of its predecessor.

That said, what it does well, it does exceptionally. For instance, the “Raw Lighting” mode dials back the computational processing to produce images that look more like they came from a professional camera than a phone. Saturation is reduced, sharpening is toned down, and the fine details come out more naturally. It’s the kind of feature that’s far more useful day-to-day than any flashy filter.

The main camera uses a Sony LYTIA 901 sensor, and Zeiss handles the colour calibration. The telephoto is a genuine upgrade over last year’s, though we found a noticeable difference only in low light. In good lighting, the gap between the X300 Ultra and X200 Ultra is minimal.

The 6,600mAh cell and 100W wired charging run everything. Available from around €1,999.

Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max

Huawei is the most complicated name on this list. US trade restrictions have essentially cut the company off from American markets, and using one here comes with real trade-offs — no Google services, limited app support, and software that takes some patience to work around.

With all of that said, the Pura 90 Pro Max’s camera system is genuinely worth knowing about. The Pro Max is the top of the lineup this time, and it leads with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, a first for any Huawei flagship. The phone also supports up to 20x telephoto video recording using that same lens, putting it in rarefied company on the zoom front.

The main camera uses a variable aperture that physically adjusts like a real camera — ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0 — which gives you more control over depth of field than any fixed-lens phone can match. Huawei calls this its second-generation Red Maple Image technology, designed to maintain natural colours in complex lighting situations like sunsets or firelight, where other phones tend to go strange.

We compared the phone against the Vivo X300 Ultra, and while it delivers a more elegant and refined experience, it sits a step behind on raw display quality and outright performance. At around $1,199, it’s the most affordable phone on this list. Imported that is. 

Huawei Pura X Max

Most foldable phones fold to be taller and narrower, or they flip to be compact. The Pura X Max does something different. It folds horizontally to create a screen that’s wider rather than taller, closer in shape to a compact iPad than a regular phone. It is the industry’s first horizontally wide foldable with a 7.7-inch inner display and a near 4:3 aspect ratio. 

Spoiler: the upcoming iPhone Fold and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide might share a similar footprint.

Such a design has a real upside. Watching video, reading, multitasking, editing photos, or anything you’d normally do on a small tablet is much more comfortable on a display shaped like this. The 5.4-inch outer screen is wide enough to handle messages and calls without unfolding. And despite the large displays, Huawei kept the weight to a reasonable 229 grams and the unfolded thickness to just 5.2mm.

The same Google services caveats that apply to the Pura 90 Pro Max apply here, too. And the water resistance rating of IP58/IP59 is a step below what Honor manages on the Magic V6. But as a piece of hardware, thinking differently about the foldable form factor, there’s nothing quite like it. 

Honor Magic V6

Folding phones have always come with compromises you had to accept in exchange for the novelty. The Magic V6, which debuted at MWC 2026, is the clearest sign yet that Honor has figured out how to close that gap.

Our impression of the foldable was that the crease on the inner display is remarkably shallow, even after a week of heavy use. Honor’s new Super Steel design, rated for 500,000 folds, also feels solid and smooth throughout. It measures 8.75mm folded and just 4mm when open.

Where Honor brings real improvement is ingress protection. The Magic V6 is the first foldable phone in the world to earn both IP68 and IP69 ratings. Getting caught in the rain with a foldable has always been a mild source of anxiety. Not anymore, at least with this one.

The Magic V6 also offers an exceptional camera experience for a foldable. The main is a 50MP sensor that captures an incredible amount of detail, even after significant cropping during post-processing. The periscope telephoto lens supports 3x and 6x optical zoom, though, at 6x, AI processing is quite prominent. 

What you should know before importing

Importing any of these phones is possible, but not always simple. You’ll want to research band compatibility carefully; not all models support the same 5G and LTE frequencies used in the US, which means you might end up with slower data speeds or limited coverage.

The Huawei devices in particular require workarounds for apps that rely on Google services. And warranty support? You’re largely on your own. But if you’ve ever looked at what’s available at your carrier and thought this is it? Now you know there’s a lot more out there. Just not here.

In an ideal smartphone world, brands first launch the Chinese models and the global variants follow a few weeks or months later. But Honor flipped the script with the new Honor 600 Pro. The company first launched the Honor 600 series globally in April, and the Chinese version made their debut just recently. 

At first glance, the two devices look almost identical. They share the same 6.57-inch OLED display, the same 200-megapixel main camera, and the same fast charging setup. However, there are some interesting changes, especially around performance, battery life, and design.

The biggest surprise? The Chinese model actually downgrades the chipset while upgrading the battery.

Design

The global and Chinese versions of the Honor 600 Pro definitely have similarities, but not in terms of design. 

The global model has a rectangular camera island that feels heavily inspired by recent iPhones. In fact, the resemblance is hard to ignore, especially with the triangular triple-camera arrangement and flash placement. 

The Chinese version changes things up a bit with a pill-shaped horizontal camera bar. You could again say it’s iPhone Air-inspired, but it looks a bit different nonetheless.

Both phones use glass and aluminum in their construction, and both carry IP68 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. 

Size differences are also minimal. The global version measures 156 x 74.7 x 7.8mm, while the Chinese unit comes in at 156.1 x 74.8 x 7.9mm. The Chinese model is also slightly heavier at 202 grams, likely because of its much larger battery.

Moreover, the global model comes in Golden White, Black, and Orange, while China gets Black, Green, Blue, and Purple.

Display

There’s almost no difference between the displays on the two phones, and that’s a good thing. Both versions of the Honor 600 Pro use a 6.57-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and HDR Vivid support. Resolution sits at 1264 x 2728, which works out to around 458 pixels per inch.

Honor also claims up to 8,000 nits of peak brightness on both models, though the Chinese version lists a more realistic 800 nits typical brightness and 1,800 nits in high brightness mode.

These aren’t giant displays by modern flagship standards, but the smaller footprint could actually make the phones more appealing to people tired of carrying around massive 6.8-inch slabs.

The global model uses Mohs level 4 protection, while the Chinese version switches to aluminosilicate glass. Neither phone uses Gorilla Glass branding, but both should survive everyday scratches without much trouble.

Performance

Things are significantly different in terms of performance. 

The global Honor 600 Pro runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is one of the most powerful Android chips currently available. It’s paired with the Adreno 830 GPU and comes in configurations with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

The Chinese model, meanwhile, drops down to the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Elite. That’s not necessarily a bad chip, but it’s definitely a step below the Snapdragon 8 Elite in raw performance. The global version should have a noticeable advantage in gaming, sustained performance, and AI-heavy workloads.

It’s an unusual difference because Chinese variants are often the more powerful ones. However, Honor seems to be prioritizing battery life over outright speed for the domestic market. Both phones ship with Android 16 and MagicOS 10. 

Cameras

Moving on to cameras, each version uses a 200-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization, paired with a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera. It also has a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS.

On the front, both phones use a 50-megapixel selfie camera capable of recording 4K video. Rear video recording support tops out at 4K on both models, with gyro-EIS and OIS helping stabilize footage.

Battery and charging

The Chinese Honor 600 Pro packs a huge 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, while the global version settles for 7,000mAh internationally and 6,400mAh in Europe.

That’s still big by flagship standards, but China’s version is on another level entirely. It’s part of a growing trend where Chinese manufacturers are using silicon-carbon battery tech to push capacities far beyond what most global phones currently offer. 

Even gaming phones rarely cross the 7,000mAh mark globally, so seeing 8,000mAh in a relatively slim flagship is impressive.

Charging speeds stay the same across both devices. You get 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 27W reverse wired charging. The Chinese version also adds reverse wireless charging.

Connectivity and extras

As for connectivity, the global model supports Wi-Fi 7, while the Chinese version tops out at Wi-Fi 6. Both include Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, infrared blasters, stereo speakers, and under-display fingerprint scanners.

Interestingly, the fingerprint hardware differs, too. The global model uses an optical sensor, while the Chinese variant upgrades to a faster and more reliable ultrasonic scanner.

Same phone, different priorities

The two versions of the Honor 600 Pro ultimately feel like phones designed for different audiences.

The global model focuses on flagship-level performance with Qualcomm’s best chipset, longer software support, and slightly better connectivity. The Chinese version, meanwhile, trades some of that power for an enormous battery and a refreshed design.

What’s interesting is that neither model is clearly “better.” If you care about gaming and peak performance, the global version probably makes more sense. But if battery life is your top priority, the Chinese model looks incredibly tempting.

The Honor 600 series is starting to fill out beyond the already announced Honor 600 and 600 Pro. Now, the company has quietly launched the Honor 600e in Peru as a more affordable option. 

The 600e keeps a similar design language and many of the same display features, but swaps in more modest hardware to lower the price.

Honor 600e Specifications 

The Honor 600e comes with a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1200 x 2600 resolution. Honor says the panel can hit up to 6,500 nits peak brightness, with 2,000 nits available in high-brightness mode outdoors. Like the rest of the series, the display also supports 3840Hz PWM dimming. 

Inside, the phone runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7100 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. At least for now, that appears to be the only memory configuration available.

On the back, the phone uses a dual-camera setup led by a 108MP main sensor with an f/1.75 aperture. The secondary camera is a 5MP ultrawide shooter. The front camera uses a 16MP sensor for selfies and video calls. 

Backing it up is a 6,520mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging. Honor is also including reverse wired charging support, allowing the phone to power smaller accessories when needed.

The device ships with MagicOS 10 based on Android 16 out of the box, matching the software experience offered by the more expensive Honor 600 models. Other features include IP66 dust and water resistance, NFC support, stereo speakers with what Honor calls “300% stereo sound volume,” and an additional hardware button similar to the one found on the standard and Pro variants.

Honor is offering the phone in Velvet Gray, Desert Gold, and Vital Green color options. The only listed version with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at PEN 1,999, which converts to roughly €505.

Honor is set to launch the WIN Turbo in China on May 29, and the company has already been teasing several aspects of the phone over the past few days. In its latest teaser, Honor confirmed that the device packs a huge 10,000mAh battery, with some reports suggesting the actual rated capacity could be slightly higher at around 10,080mAh. Either way, it is an unusually large battery for a phone that still appears relatively normal in size and design.

Honor claims the WIN Turbo can handle over 14 hours of continuous gaming or more than 22 hours of short video playback. Marketing numbers are usually best taken with some caution, but realistically, this thing should still outlast most phones pretty comfortably.

Charging does not seem compromised either. The phone supports 80W wired fast charging and even 27W reverse charging, so it can double as a power bank for smaller devices if needed.

Unlike the more expensive WIN and WIN RT models, the Turbo version is apparently skipping the built-in cooling fan. Instead, Honor seems to be focusing more on battery life and everyday gaming rather than pushing fully flagship-level performance.

The phone is expected to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Elite chip, which should still be more than capable for gaming, multitasking, and general use. It is not aiming for premium territory, but that is probably the point here.

Other leaked specs include a flat 1.5K LTPS display, a metal frame, and a 50MP main camera with OIS. Storage options are rumored to go up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Honor is also preparing several color options, including black, white, and blue finishes.

Interestingly, the WIN Turbo reportedly shares its base platform with the Honor Power 2. The difference is that this model drops the active cooling hardware, which may help keep the overall cost lower and the body relatively slim and light despite the giant battery inside.

Most phones today are already good enough for a full day, so Honor seems to be targeting people who simply do not want to think about charging very often at all. If the pricing lands in the right place, the WIN Turbo could end up becoming one of the more interesting battery-focused phones this year.

Honor has officially introduced its latest audio product in China, the Honor Earbuds Clip-On Pro. Priced at 599 yuan ($88), the new earbuds lean into the growing trend of open-ear audio, opting for a cuff-like design that attaches to the outside of the ear rather than sitting inside the ear canal.

In terms of aesthetics, the Earbuds Clip-On Pro features a C-shaped chassis built around an aerospace-grade nickel-titanium memory wire. This three-point support structure is designed to adapt to various ear shapes and distribute weight evenly, keeping the buds secure during workouts without applying excessive pressure. Available in Prism Black and Rose Gold, the earbuds feature polished metallic accents and come with an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance.

On the audio front, the Earbuds Clip-On Pro are equipped with 10.8mm dual-magnetic titanium-coated drivers. They support the LHDC 5.0 codec and carry a Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification for high-quality playback. Because open-ear designs are naturally prone to sound leakage, Honor has included a reverse acoustic system to help keep your audio private in public spaces.

For voice calls, the earbuds use a triple-microphone setup, two air-conduction mics and one bone-conduction VPU, paired with AI noise reduction. Honor claims this system can filter out wind noise at speeds up to 9 meters per second.

The earbuds also feature Honor’s software features. They integrate directly with the YOYO voice assistant, which can be triggered via touch or voice commands. The companion software supports real-time dual-ear translation, automatic transcription, and smart summarization. The assistant can also read out real-time notifications so users don’t have to constantly check their phone screens.

For connectivity, the earbuds use Bluetooth 5.4 and support dual-device pairing across Android, iOS, and HarmonyOS devices, allowing you to seamlessly switch between a phone and a laptop. They also feature automatic wear detection and intelligent left/right channel recognition, meaning you don’t have to check which bud goes on which ear before putting them on.

Coming to the battery life, Honor says the 56mAh batteries in the earbuds can provide up to 11 hours of standalone playback with the voice wake-up feature disabled. The 500mAh pebble-shaped charging case extends that total to 47 hours. Recharging the buds takes about 50 minutes, while the USB-C case itself tops up in just over an hour.

Alongside the new earbuds, Honor also unveiled the Honor 600 series smartphones, the Watch 6 Plus smartwatch, and the Honor Pad 20 tablet.

Honor has announced its latest Android tablet, the Pad 20, alongside its new 600 series smartphones and Watch 6 Plus in China.

Honor Pad 20 Specifications

The Honor Pad 20 features a 12.1-inch 3K TFT LCD IPS display with a 3000 x 1872 resolution, 120Hz variable refresh rate, and 292 PPI pixel density. It also comes with DCI-P3 wide color gamut coverage, 1.07 billion colors, a 1500:1 contrast ratio, and up to 700 nits brightness for vibrant visuals and improved outdoor visibility.

Honor is selling the device in three variations, including a standard model and a Soft Light Edition. The latter uses a matte, dual anti-glare coating designed to reduce reflections and mimic the texture of paper, which is intended to make reading and note-taking easier on the eyes.

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, featuring one Cortex-A715 core at 2.63GHz, three Cortex-A715 cores at 2.4GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores at 1.8GHz.

On the software side, the Pad 20 runs MagicOS 10, based on Android 16. The user interface includes a desktop-style layout with multi-window support for multitasking. Honor has also included several AI software tools aimed at students, such as automatic course transcription, note organization, and an exam preparation assistant. For writing and drawing, the tablet supports the USB-C Honor Magic-Pencil 4s.

The tablet also supports cross-platform connectivity with Android, HarmonyOS, and iOS devices, including file transfers, device collaboration, AirPods pairing, and cross-device editing with Apple ecosystem products.

For photography and video calls, the tablet is equipped with an 8MP rear camera featuring an f/2.0 aperture and autofocus. The front camera also features an 8MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture.

The tablet is powered by a 10,100mAh battery. Honor includes a 45W charger in the box, though the device can handle up to 66W charging if you use a compatible adapter. It also includes a six-speaker audio setup.

Pricing and Availability

The Honor Pad 20 is available in several configurations. The Lingyue Edition offers options of 6GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at 2,099 yuan ($315) and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage for 2,299 yuan ($345).

The Soft-Light Edition starts at 2,499 yuan ($375) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model, goes up to 2,999 yuan ($450) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB variant, and reaches 3,399 yuan ($510) for the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version.

The tablet, offered in Gray, Green, and Pink, is open for orders now and will be available for purchase in China starting May 27th.

Honor has launched the Watch 6 Plus in China with a focus on long battery life and advanced sports tracking features. It is priced from 1,199 yuan (around $176) and features a motorsport-inspired design. The smartwatch is currently available for pre-orders in China and will officially go on sale starting May 29.

Honor Watch 6 Plus Specifications

The watch is built around a 1.46-inch AMOLED display with a 464 x 464 resolution. Honor says the screen can reach a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, which should make it easy to read in direct sunlight. It also includes wet-touch support, allowing the screen to remain responsive if you are using it in the rain or during a sweaty workout.

In terms of hardware, the Watch 6 Plus has a 46.5mm circular dial and a 10.8mm thick case. Depending on the color you choose, options include Speed Blue, Twilight Brown, Racing Grey, and Shadow Black, the front shell is made from either aluminum alloy or 316L stainless steel, paired with a reinforced polymer fiber back. Without the strap, the watch weighs approximately 41 grams.

The smartwatch uses a huge 1,000mAh battery that Honor says can last up to 35 days on a restricted long-endurance Bluetooth mode, or roughly 17 days under normal daily use. If you are using the independent GPS continuously for activities like hiking or long-distance running, the battery is rated for about 42 hours.

For location tracking, the watch uses dual-frequency (L1 and L5) six-satellite GNSS positioning. It includes standard health sensors for continuous heart rate, blood oxygen, and sleep monitoring, alongside over 120 sports modes. Honor has added specific tracking features for badminton and football; the badminton mode logs data like swing speed and rally count, while the football mode records sprint speeds and creates movement heatmaps.

The software is based on a MagicOS-inspired interface and covers the usual smartwatch features. It supports Bluetooth 5.4 calling via a built-in microphone and speaker, NFC for tap-to-pay services, and Baidu Maps navigation. The device has 5ATM and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, meaning it is safe for pool swimming but not intended for diving or high-pressure water sports.

In related news, Honor has also launched the Honor 600 Vitality, Honor 600 Super, and Honor 600 Pro with batteries as large as 8600mAh and 200MP camera systems.
