TB detection: A shortage of radiologists to analyze chest X-rays, crucial for TB screening, is a major hurdle. Google’s AI system aids in early TB detection by analyzing these scans.
Lung and breast cancer screening: AI assists with both broader screening accessibility and identifying incidental nodules in lung scans and mammograms, helping radiologists prioritize cases.

Over the next decade, Apollo Radiology International aims to leverage these AI models for 3 million free screenings for TB, lung cancer, and breast cancer. This initiative has the potential to significantly improve access to timely care for hundreds of thousands in India.

Google.org also supports ARMMAN, a mobile service offering targeted preventive care messages for expecting and new mothers. Google AI technology helps predict women at risk of dropping out of healthcare programs, allowing health workers to proactively follow up.

This collaboration is a clear example of AI bridging the healthcare gap in resource-limited regions, enabling earlier diagnoses and improved health outcomes. If the early trials with this technology bear fruit, we can expect this at a larger scale being deployed in multiple regions. One can hope, but AI can definitely make it possible!

Xiaomi is planning to launch its new video doorbell, the Smart Doorbell 3S to the global market. The Xiaomi Smart Doorbell 3S is the successor to the Smart Doorbell 3 and comes with various improvements. It features WiFi 6 connectivity as well as a fixed wiring option.

The Xiaomi Smart Doorbell 3S was recently listed on Xiaomi’s global website. The Smart Doorbell 3 is currently selling on retail platforms including Amazon. The global Xiaomi website has provided a spec sheet for the new Smart Doorbell 3S although pricing and release information are lacking at this time. It is however expected to come with a higher price than the Smart Doorbell 3S.

The Smart Doorbell 3S outputs 2K resolution and a 180-degree diagonal for head-to-toe views. It offers real-time monitoring, motion alarms, a door chime, and up to 72 hours of free cloud storage. These features are also present in the Smart Doorbell 3 but the new model offers additional functionality. It comes with IP65 dust and water protection and comes with a 5,200mAh battery in addition to a hard-wired power supply option. It also comes with WiFi 6 connectivity, Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) support, and adjustable night vision sensitivity.

Pricing & Availability

As mentioned earlier, there are no price and release details yet for the Xiaomi Smart Doorbell 3S, as per its listing on Xiaomi’s global website. The listing however indicates that the launch of the new smart doorbell is imminent. For comparison, the Xiaomi Smart Doorbell 3 is currently being sold via Amazon for $129.99. It is expected that the Xiaomi Smart Doorbell 3S will be pricier than the Smart Doorbell 3, given its significant improvements.

Zhaoxin KX-7000 Benchmarks Reveal Performance Boost for Chinese Processor

It has been eight years since Zhaoxin, a company focused on developing domestic X86 processors, introduced its first product, the ZX-C+. The company’s greatest success has been its continued hard work since that time, refusing to rest on its laurels. These efforts have apparently paid off. The domestically produced Zhaoxin KX-7000 processor appeared on Geekbench, demonstrating twice the performance of its predecessor, the KX-U6780A.

In the Geekbench 6 test, the Zhaoxin Kaixian KX-7000 scored 824 in single-core and 3813 in multi-core performance. According to the test details, the KX-7000 processor utilizes the KX700M motherboard and features an 8-core design. It has a base frequency of 2.99GHz, 4MB of L2 cache, and 32MB of L3 cache. The test was conducted on Windows 11 Pro in balanced power mode, and the processor reached a maximum operating frequency of 3293MHz.

At first glance, the processor’s score might seem comparable to an 8th-generation i5, which could appear underwhelming. Especially considering Intel’s release of 8th-generation processors in August 2017. However, remember that Intel debuted its first processor in 1971, while Zhaoxin began in 2013. In this context, a seven-year difference highlights substantial progress.

Geekbench 6 scores on the Linux system show the previous-generation KX-U6780A processor achieved a single-core score of 344 and a multi-core score of 1873. The new KX-7000 offers 2.4 times the single-core performance and double the multi-core performance. Zhaoxin attributes this to the KX-7000’s “Century Avenue” microarchitecture and improved Chiplet design. The KX-7000 also features faster graphics and upgraded I/O interfaces like DDR5, PCIe 4.0, and USB4. Still, the company has a long way to go

Samsung just released the Galaxy A55 in multiple markets. Like its predecessors, the phone will be soon joined by its cousins from Galaxy F and Galaxy M series.

These upcoming devices will officially go by Galaxy F55 and Galaxy M55. Lately, we have been hearing a lot about the F series handset.

On the other hand, the M series smartphone is in the news cycle only now after January.

The forthcoming Galaxy M55 with model number SM-M556B now has a support page on Samsung’s official website. This page can be found on the company’s three regional websites, namely India, Latin America, and Levant.

At present, it is not known in which of these markets the product will be unveiled first. However, India seems to be a strong contender as a well-known tech influencer from the country has shared a live image of the phone.

The picture showcases the Galaxy M55 in blue and black colors. The device has Samsung’s distinctive vertically aligned triple camera setup.

The back panel slightly curves along the edges and seems to be made of plastic just like the frame. Finally, the handset lacks the new key island design found on the latest Galaxy A series smartphones.

As per Geekbech, the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, making it the first phone from Samsung to use this chipset. Thanks to FCC, we also know that the handset will support 45W wired charging.

Google Applies for the “G” Logo Patent on the Back of Their Devices

Google‘s Pixel phones have long been distinguished by the now-iconic “G” logo adorning their backs. Interestingly, despite this logo’s presence since the first Pixel launched in 2016, Google only recently filed a trademark application for it with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

This move has sparked some discussion. Some see it as a strategic effort to further solidify the Pixel brand identity in a crowded smartphone market. The “G” logo has undoubtedly become a hallmark of Pixel phones, similar to the Apple logo on iPhones or the Samsung logo on Galaxy phones. Its consistent placement, first at the bottom and then moving to the center position with the Pixel 6 series in 2021 is a good sign for the company’s brand recognition.

However, others question the timing. Trademarking a logo already used for years might seem like an afterthought. Some speculate it could be a defensive measure against potential logo imitators or a way to leverage the brand recognition for future Pixel products beyond smartphones, say, tablets.

The trademark application itself offers some clues. It details a sketch of the “G” logo situated in the center of a phone’s back and specifies registration for the mobile phone category only, covering telephones, mobile phones, cellular phones, and smartphones. It’s worth noting that Pixel tablets also feature the same “G” logo, but this trademark application doesn’t cover tablets. This could suggest Google might have separate trademark plans for its tablet line, or it might simply be prioritizing smartphones for now.

Following the leaked live images and renders showing UWB Antenna, Google recently applied for approval of four device models with model numbers G8HHN, GKV4X, G6GPR, and G576D to the FCC or the Federal Communications Commission. On the other side, real-life images of the Google Pixel 8a retail box have already surfaced on the internet. The box shows “Model: G6GPR” which is one of the model numbers that has now been approved by the FCC.

If you are thinking about the other three model numbers, Google generally develops different phone models based on hardware requirements in different regions, such as a 5G mmWave antenna. Notably, the paperwork for the approval notes the different model numbers as different versions of the same phone.

The last two generations of affordable Pixel devices were released in May. So, you can expect the Pixel 8a to arrive within the next couple of months.

Having said that, we also have a dimension of the device which is 152.0 x 73.0 x 9.0mm. Compared with last year’s Google Pixel 7a, this is only 0.1mm wider and the rest remains exactly the same.

From the image on the leaked retail box, we can see a familiar camera module design which appears to be just a bit thicker, with slightly more rounded corners compared to the Pixel 7a. This phone is expected to come with an underclocked version of the Tensor G3 chip which previously appeared on Geekbench with scoring 1218 and 3175 for single and multi cores respectively. The phone will offer the same 6.1″ 90Hz display and will be available in four color options.

POCO is working on a C-series smartphone. It is probably the successor to the POCO C51 that launched in April last year. The POCO C61 was spotted on the Play Supported Devices list last week. Now, the smartphone has appeared on the Google Play Console listing. It reveals the front design of the device as well as its key specifications.

The POCO C61 is listed with model number 2312BPC51H. The render in the certification shows the smartphone with a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout and the screen surrounded by thin bezels. The power and volume rocker buttons are on the right side. The device will have a display resolution of 720 x 1,650 pixels and a screen density of 320 DPI.

As for the hardware, the Google Play Console listing reveals that the POCO C61 has an SoC codenamed MediaTek MT6765X. It comprises four Cortex-A53 cores at 2.2GHz and another four Cortex-A53 cores ticking at 1.6GHz. This suggests that the chipset is Helio G36. The smartphone is listed with 4GB RAM and it will run on Android 14 OS out of the box.

The rest of the details of the POCO C61 have not been revealed. The device has already bagged Bluetooth SIG and BIS certifications. Speculations are rife that the smartphone could be a rebadged Redmi A3 that launched in India last month. It is also powered by the same processor as the upcoming C61. However, there could be slight differences. POCO’s C-series phones have often been rebranded versions of Redmi phones.

Motorola is gearing up to unveil the Edge 50 Pro smartphone soon in India. The Lenovo-owned brand has already confirmed the chipset that will power the device. Now, the upcoming offering’s display and camera details have been revealed through the Flipkart microsite.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro will come with a curved pOLED display having a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. As per the microsite, the device will have a 6.7-inch screen bearing a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It will offer 2,000 nits peak brightness, HDR10+, and a 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut. There is an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The display is confirmed to be Pantone Validated with realistic colours and accurate skin tones.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is confirmed to be the first Pantone Validated camera in the world. This means that the output of the colours and skin tone in the captured images will be validated by Pantone. The elevating camera island on the back panel houses three sensors headlined by a 50MP main lens. The device will also pack AI features like adaptive stabilization, autofocus tracking, tilt mode, and more. There will also be Generative AI theming for creating own unique wallpaper powered by AI.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro will be offered in three colours – Violet and Black with a faux leather texture and a gradient hue that seems to look like a shade of Grey and Cream. The upcoming smartphone is already confirmed to be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor.

LG Electronics just announced a brand new innovative home appliance during the Lakme Fashion Week in India. The product in question is the MoodUP refrigerator, which is designed to reflect the mood of the users thanks to its color changing LED French Door panels. So let’s have a look.

The South Korean tech giant unveiled the MoodUP refrigerator with the help of leading fashion designer duo, Gauri and Nainika, who brought over 170,000 colors. This fridge features cutting edge technology and design. Its most highlighting aspect is undoubtedly the LED panels on its door that allow you to change colors based on your mood and sync music to create a personalized experience. This design seamlessly fuses style and technology.

The MoodUP model was first showcased back in 2022 and is finally making its way to the Indian market. Apart from the eye catching body, the LG MoodUP Refrigerator houses a built-in Bluetooth speaker as well. This basically lets you play music on the fridge from your phone or other connected devices. This paired with the LED color changing panels helps turn your home into a party place. The premium refrigerator can be integrated with the LG ThinQ, allowing for remote control and monitoring.

It is packed with a bunch of smart features as well like Door Open Alert, Welcome Light, and Night-time Mood Light. The stylish home appliance comes with Door Cooling+ technology to ensure even cooling on each shelf as well as Hygiene Fresh+ technology to help reduce the growth of bacteria and keep food fresh for longer. The LG MoodUP Refrigerator is available for purchase in India for a hefty price tag of 449,999 INR (roughly 5,420 US Dollars).

Samsung is rumored to be expanding its foldable smartphone range with a more affordable model. A new report from the Korean publication The Elec now suggests that Samsung is aiming to make this entry-level foldable a compelling alternative to Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 series.

The report first sheds light on Samsung’s plans for its regular Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 models. According to The Elec, Samsung has sped up the production schedule for components of its next-generation foldable phones.

As a result, the mass production of parts for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 is expected to start as early as May.

That timeframe is several weeks ahead of last year’s models, thus the standard Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 are said to be released sometime in July. For comparison, the Galaxy Z5 series foldable was released in August last year.

On the other hand, the budget-friendly Galaxy Z Fold 6 might not hit the market until months after the regular Fold 6 and Flip 6.

It’s rumored that Samsung might launch it in September or October, likely to coincide with Apple’s iPhone 16 launch. As aforementioned, this staggered release strategy is aimed at competing with Apple’s iPhone 16 launch.

While there’s not much detail we have about the affordable Z Fold, it’s expected to make some design compromises to lower the cost. For instance, it is rumored that it will not support Samsung’s S Pen stylus.

Moreover, Elec’s report also suggests Samsung isn’t expecting a high shipment target for the cheaper Galaxy Z Fold 6. It is estimated at around 200,000 to 300,000 units, but it could still influence consumer decisions when compared to the iPhone 16.

Samsung is rumored to be working on a new Galaxy F series smartphone. The company is set to unveil the Galaxy F55 model soon, with the latest sighting hinting at an imminent launch in the Indian and Bangladeshi markets. So here are all the details.

Samsung Galaxy F55 Support Page Up in India and Bangladesh

The South Korean tech giant’s upcoming Galaxy F55 was spotted on the official support page in the two regions. It was seen carrying the SM-E556B/DS model number. While no finer details like specs and features were revealed in the support page, the website listing hints that the Galaxy F55 5G’s launch is near. Back in January 2024, this device was spotted on the BIS certification and received WiFi certification as well.

For those unaware, the new device is the successor to the Galaxy F54 model, which launched in the middle of 2023. So, the Galaxy F55 could also see a June 2024 launch timeframe. Last year’s F54 was equipped with the Exynos 1380 SoC, but the F55 will likely offer newer hardware like the Exynos 1480 processor. To recall, the Galaxy F54 sports a tall 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, a massive 6,000mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 25W wired fast charging. This device offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The rear packs a 108-megapixel triple camera setup, while the front houses a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. The camera system and display likely won’t see any major changes, but some internal specs could see upgrades. MSI has announced its latest curved gaming monitor, the MAG 27CQ6F. The monitor is listed on MSI’s official website, though details regarding its pricing and specific availability date remain unspecified at this moment. Well, let’s check out its key specs.

MAG 27CQ6F features a 27-inch curved display with WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution and a maximum brightness of 300 nits. The monitor comes with a curvature of 1500R. The curvature provides an immersive viewing experience by subtly wrapping around the viewer’s field of vision.

The display features a VA panel capable of reaching a refresh rate of 180Hz, making it well-suited for high-speed gaming scenarios. The high refresh rate is complemented by a response time of just 0.5ms (GtG), which aims to minimize motion blur and provide crisp, clear visuals during rapid movement.

The brand shared a new teaser on its account on X (formerly Twitter). In the official tweet, the company even shared an image that showcases an 8-bit version of what appears to be a Nokia feature phone. This device is placed next to a balloon, with a link directing us to the birthday page of an upcoming phone. In other words, the new feature phone is likely a brand new edition of a classic Nokia handset.

But while official details and the name of the phone weren’t revealed, the official HMD website has a pixelated image of the upcoming device. This device is expected to be the Nokia 3310, which was a pretty iconic Feature Phone. The device was available in bright color options, with one of them being a bright yellow variant that is also seen in this teaser as well.
