Melting iPhone 15 Pro Max Charger Damaged Phone & Burned User’s Finger

Apple frequently warns its users to use licensed accessories. Despite the company’s repeated warnings regarding risks such as overheating and fire hazards, many of us don’t take this warnings seriously. Because we believe Apple primary aim is to boost sales and profit… right? owever, it seems that’s not entirely the case. A Reddit user with similar thoughts, showed how dangerous poor quality products can be. He shared a story about using a cheap cable that ended up melting, damaging his phone, and even burning his finger. Here are the details…

iPhone 15 Pro Max Meltdown Causes Damage and Burns

A Reddit user named NoisilyMarvellous recently shared the dangers of using cheap accessories with a post. He revealed how connecting his recently purchased iPhone 15 Pro Max to the charger resulted in the cable melting, causing burns both to his hand and the phone. Upon careful examination of the image, the first noticeable detail was that the charging cable used was not an original Apple product.

Reddit user “I knew the iPhone 15 Pro Max gets hot, but a month into use mine got so hot while charging overnight that it literally left a burn on my finger. When I took the charger off, it had melted some of the plastic, “left burn marks on the body and stuck the metal part of the USB-C port into the phone,” he said.

It is important to note that using accessories from brands different than Apple won’t damage your phone. For example, it’s much more sensible to use products from official partners that have passed the company’s quality control tests. However, using a product from an unknown brand just because it’s cheap can lead to serious consequences, much like what happened to NoisilyMarvellous and their $1000+ phone.

Shadow the Hedgehog’s Emotional Depth Explored in Official Festive Artwork from Sonic

Sonic is a classic game, a household name even. The emotional depth of characters is often overlooked, especially iconic characters like Sonic the Hedgehog, However, a recent piece of artwork shared on the official Japanese Sonic Twitter account reminds us that these characters have layers of emotions and backstories that can resonate deeply with fans.

Shadow the Hedgehog is usually portrayed as a tough character

The artwork in question portrays Shadow the Hedgehog, a character known for his tough exterior and mysterious aura. In this holiday-themed art, Shadow is seen gazing at a pair of blue shoes displayed in a store window. To the average onlooker, this might seem like a simple holiday scene. Yet, for those familiar with the Sonic series, particularly ‘Sonic Adventure 2,’ these shoes hold a significant emotional connection to Maria Robotnik, a pivotal character in Shadow’s life.

Sonic

Maria, the granddaughter of Gerald Robotnik, shared a profound bond with Shadow during his early years. Her tragic demise, witnessed by Shadow, profoundly influenced his character development in the series. This artwork subtly but powerfully revisits that moment, showing a different side of Shadow, one that is reflective and emotionally vulnerable.

The choice to feature this poignant scene during the festive season is a bold move. It juxtaposes the typical merry and bright imagery associated with the holidays with a reminder of loss and longing. This adds a layer of depth to the character of Shadow, reminding fans that behind his aggressive and aloof demeanor lies a history of profound loss and emotional trauma.

Moreover, the artwork raises questions about Shadow’s thoughts and feelings as he looks at the shoes. While the Twitter post leaves this to the imagination, it invites fans to explore the emotional complexities of a character they thought they knew well. It’s a reminder that even in a universe as fantastical as Sonic’s, themes of loss, memory, and emotional healing can find a place.

This approach not only enriches the character of Shadow but also offers a more mature and nuanced perspective on the characters of the Sonic universe. It’s a testament to the evolving nature of storytelling in video games, where characters are not just vessels for gameplay but have stories and emotions that can impact the audience profoundly.

Skyrim’s Holiday Spirit Brought to Life in New Fan-Made Quest

In gaming, it’s not uncommon for dedicated fans to add their unique touch to popular games. A shining example of this is a new side quest in Skyrim, aptly named “The Gift of Saturalia,” created by a talented modder known as JaySerpa. This special quest is a holiday treat for gamers, blending Skyrim’s fantasy world with the spirit of Christmas.

The characters have been voiced by some Twitch Streamers

Saturalia, for those unfamiliar, is Skyrim’s version of Christmas, complete with traditional outfits, festive decorations, and gift exchanges. The quest crafted by JaySerpa taps into this holiday vibe but with a twist. It focuses on helping less fortunate residents of Skyrim, offering players a chance to spread joy and warmth in a usually harsh and unforgiving virtual world.

Skyrim

The highlight of this quest is its attention to detail and personalization. It’s fully voiced, featuring characters like Diane the Bard and Niklas the Trader, voiced by Twitch streamers LIZZ and Urgie, respectively. This level of personalization extends to even minor characters, whose dialogues are carefully pieced together from existing voice lines. It’s impressive to note that no AI voices were used, maintaining a genuine and authentic feel.

The quest isn’t just a quick event; it’s a substantial addition that takes about one to two hours to complete. But the real charm lies in its impact. Once completed, the game shows how your actions have positively affected the lives of the characters, adding a layer of emotional satisfaction to your gaming experience.

Accessibility is another great aspect of this quest. It’s available on Nexus Mods and doesn’t require any additional add-ons, other than the base game. For those who want to immerse themselves further, there’s an optional Saturalia Holiday Pack from the Creation Club, which the mod utilizes beautifully, though it’s not mandatory.

The latest teaser shows us a complete front view of the iQOO Watch, giving us a good look at its overall design. They’re also letting us in on the various strap options the watch will come with, including silicone, leather, and woven straps. We can expect these straps to come in a range of colors to cater to different tastes.

iQOO Watch Specifications (Rumored)

Coming to the specs, the smartwatch will feature a 3D curved glass dial with always-on display (AOD) feature. The watch showcases various watch faces, including an outer space-themed design, a classic watch appearance, and a sporty watch face.

The watch is exceptionally lightweight at only 36 grams, ensuring user comfort. Additionally, its watchband design allows for effortless installation and automatic dial matching. The watch also features a crown that supports both rotation and button presses for intuitive navigation.

Functionality-wise, the watch will offer dual-mode functionality with support for both eSIM and Bluetooth connectivity. In eSIM mode, it provides up to 7 days of battery life, which extends to an impressive 16 days in Bluetooth mode. The inclusion of eSIM technology allows for independent communication capabilities, enhancing its practicality.

Internally, the watch is powered by Vivo’s proprietary BlueOS operating system. It also incorporates advanced health monitoring capabilities, including an 8-channel heart rate sensor and a 16-channel blood oxygen sensor, catering to health-conscious users.

Considering that the iQOO Watch draws inspiration from the Vivo Watch 3, it’s reasonable to use the Vivo Watch 3 as a reference point when speculating about its pricing. The Bluetooth version of the Vivo Watch 3 is priced at 1099 Yuan ($154), while the eSIM version goes for 1299 Yuan ($182). This suggests that iQOO might be aiming for a competitive pricing strategy with the iQOO Watch.

Huawei is rolling out the first software update for its FreeClip earphones

Huawei‘s new open-back FreeClip earbuds (review), recently launched globally, are receiving their first software update. This update, weighing in at just 794KB, focuses on improving Bluetooth connectivity and stability.

The changelog highlights enhanced Bluetooth performance, meaning you can expect fewer dropped connections and a smoother listening experience. Huawei hasn’t detailed any other changes, but there might be some hidden optimizations tucked away in the firmware.

To update your FreeClips earphones, simply open the Huawei Smart AI Life app and navigate to the Device section. If the update is available, you’ll see it listed in the settings. Tap to download and install, and your earbuds will be up-to-date in no time.

The earbuds are also pretty lightweight at just 5.6 grams per bud and are reversible meaning you don’t need to determine which bud fits in which ear. Huawei says the onboard sensors determine which bud is in which ear and tune it accordingly.

As with other open-ear earphones, the FreeClip doesn’t sit up against your ear canal, so you will pretty much be hearing outside-world noises, no matter what.

You can connect these buds to two devices simultaneously, offering users flexibility in terms of devices. These are also IP54 dust and water-resistant and offer a battery life of up to 32 hours. They also support fast charging allowing for 3 hours of listening time with just 10 minutes of charge.
