Valve has explicitly stated that they do not intend to release the Steam Deck 2 console until 2025. However, a recent report has emerged, unveiling leaks about new hardware from the company. It turns out that this new hardware is a Steam Deck featuring an OLED display which the brand has just released unexpectedly.

Other than the OLED screen, there’s not much that’s different, except for the memory, which has been upgraded from LPDDR5 5500 to LPDDR5 6400. While this change should theoretically make the device perform better, we’ll need to test it in real-life situations to see if there’s a noticeable difference. Here’s the complete list of specs for the Steam Deck OLED console.

Valve Steam Deck OLED specs:

The Steam Deck OLED is equipped with a 6 nm AMD APU, featuring a Zen 2 4-core/8-thread CPU clocked at 2.4-3.5GHz and an RDNA 2 GPU with 8 compute units running at 1.6GHz, delivering 1.6 TFlops of FP32 performance. It packs 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM operating at 6400 MT/s through quad 32-bit channels. Storage options include a choice between a 512 GB or 1 TB NVMe SSD, both complemented by a high-speed microSD card slot.

In terms of controls, the Steam Deck OLED offers a comprehensive array of options, including gamepad controls with A, B, X, Y buttons, a D-pad, L & R analog triggers, View & Menu buttons, 4 assignable grip buttons, 2 full-size analog sticks with capacitive touch, HD haptics, and 2 square trackpads with haptic feedback, as well as pressure-sensitive features for configurable click strength. It also features a 6-Axis IMU for enhanced control precision.

The device sports a 7.4-inch diagonal HDR OLED display with a 1280 x 800 resolution, offering a peak brightness of 1000 nits in HDR and 600 nits in SDR, with an impressive contrast ratio exceeding 1,000,000:1. The display covers 110% of the P3 color gamut and supports a refresh rate of up to 90Hz, all with a rapid response time of under 0.1 ms. Additionally, the device boasts high-performance touch functionality.

Sensors include dual ambient light sensors (ALS) for optimal lighting adjustments. In terms of connectivity, the Steam Deck OLED features Bluetooth 5.3 and a tri-band Wi-Fi 6E radio, supporting 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands with 2 x 2 MIMO, and compatibility with IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards.

Audio capabilities comprise stereo sound with an embedded DSP, a dual microphone array, a 3.5mm stereo headphone/headset jack, and multichannel audio support via DisplayPort over USB-C, standard USB-C, or Bluetooth 5.3. The device is powered by a PD3.0 Type C power supply with a 45W output, and it houses a 50Whr battery, providing 3 to 12 hours of gameplay on a single charge.

For expansion, it offers a microSD slot with support for UHS-I, and it can serve as a display port over Type C, capable of handling up to 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz. It also includes USB3 Gen 2 support.

The Steam Deck OLED comes in a compact package, measuring 298mm x 117mm x 49mm and weighing 640 grams. It runs on SteamOS 3, which is based on Arch, with a desktop environment powered by KDE Plasma.

The Steam Deck OLED will be available for purchase beginning on November 16. It comes in two storage options: the 512 GB variant priced at $549 and the 1 TB version at $649. Fake AirPods are so well-made that they can fool even Apple devices, such as iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. This has even led to people being scammed into buying fake AirPods, thinking they are real. A CT scan by the research team Lumafield reveals the stark difference between real and fake AirPods. The counterfeit AirPods are made with cheap materials and components, and they lack the sophisticated technology of the real ones.

Upon examining the insides of both earphones, it became evident that the fake AirPods Pro 2 contain fewer components than the authentic ones. As seen in the images accompanying our report, the original earphones are densely packed, while the imitations have much more empty space inside. The reason for this is, of course, the absence of the same technologies. Fake products lack the necessary components for functions like active noise cancellation. They only feature a subpar microphone, a mini “speaker” for transmitting sound, and a battery.

To emphasize once again, the fact that fake AirPods Pro 2 models look like the real deal changes nothing. Continuously using these products with subpar batteries could even lead to serious health issues. Unfortunately, despite all this information, people worldwide continue to purchase these earphones.

Xiaomi has debuted its first Redmi 13 series device in the global market starting with the launch of the Redmi 13C in Nigeria. The device was previously spotted on Amazon US.

Its multiple range-extending features could stand out the Ram 1500 Ramcharger in a growing field of electric trucks in the market.

Features

The unveiling of the Rotwild R.R275 X comes on the heels of some decent models released by the company. The bike is the first of its kind to have an eAssist function which is a fairly new technology introduced in the fall. The bike’s integrated power unit discreetly and continuously supports the rider’s biomechanical power for its propulsion. Rotwild says it will continue to pursue technical innovation through sporting ambition and perfect design and the R.R275 X is emblematic of this philosophy.

The sporty Rotwild R.R275 X can be used on urban roads as well as on forest or gravel paths. It has a 1,000 lumen high-beam light source and a tire clearance of 50mm. The e-gravel bike’s HPR50 motor has a torque of 50Nm and output of 250W. The power can be extended to 300W for short, 30 seconds bursts of speed via the Boost Button on the handlebars. The bike comes with a 252Wh battery which can be further extended with a 160Wh range extender.

The wheels of the Rotwild R.R275 X are made from carbon and have a diameter of 622mm. The model is available as Pro and Ultra options with different equipment configurations. The e-gravel R.R275 X Pro has the Shimano GRX series system while the Ultra is equipped with the electronic SRAM Force AXS.

Pricing & Availability

The Pro version of the bike is priced at around $9,600 while the Rotwild R.R275 X Ultra costs around $12,800.

Both of them are rumored to be released in November. A tipster has now suggested their launch date as well as price range. Let’s go through the details.

A tipster who goes by 熊猫很禿然 (Panda is very bald) on Weibo says that the Oppo Reno 11 series and the Honor 100 series will be announced on the same day in China. He also reveals that they will compete with each other in the same price segment.

As per him, these smartphones will be launched in China on November 23. Further, they will retail around ¥2,000-¥3,000 in the country.

It is worth noting that the leaker has now edited his original post. He has removed the launch date and price range. The post now merely reads that these two phone lineups will compete with each other.

Anyways, as per an Honor Club post, the brand has planned a launch event for November 23. The company is yet to reveal the devices but they are most likely Honor 100 models.

On the other hand, Oppo just announced the HyperTone camera system tuned by Hasselblad for the Reno 11 series and other phones. Digital Chat Station claims that the next-gen Reno will go official by the end of November.

Therefore, we wouldn’t be surprised if both of them get announced on the same day as the tipster suggests.

Nothing is now rolling out the second beta build of NothingOS 2.5, which is based on Android 14 and designed for the Nothing Phone (2). This release follows closely on the heels of the Open Beta 1 rollout in October.

One of the standout features in the Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2 is the Glyph Interface. It introduces Glyph Progress integration for Google Calendar, making it easier for users to keep track of their upcoming events with a handy 5-minute countdown. The Glyph Timer has also seen some enhancements, now supporting time presets for quick duration settings. The challenge doesn’t end with sales numbers. Profits are also taking a hit, with expectations halved from 4% to 2%. Price hikes haven’t been enough to keep the profit margins afloat as the cost of doing business in the EV industry climbs.

iPhone 12 mini makes a return in refurbished condition

Apple discontinued the iPhone 12 mini with the launch of the iPhone 14 series in September 2022. However, for a while, the company continued to sell the device in refurbished condition on its website in the US.

The refurbished variant hit the shelves in late July 2022, which was months before the handset even got discontinued. But the product was only available in 128GB version.

Now, more than a year later, Apple has brought back the iPhone 12 mini refurbished model in stock on its US website. But this time around, the device is offered with 256GB storage and at a cheaper price.

The iPhone 13 mini was discontinued after the iPhone 15 lineup went official this September. With this, the ‘mini’ lineup was officially dead and it was no longer listed for sale, including refurbished variants.

Surprisingly, two months later, the iPhone 12 mini 256GB makes a return in its refurbished avatar on Apple’s US website. It is listed at $529, which makes it $50 cheaper than the 128GB refurbished variant ($579) that was sold earlier.

Currently, it is the only iPhone mini smartphone officially sold by Apple. Unfortunately, it is limited to the US.

Apple debuted its inaugural 5G iPhones in the form of the iPhone 12 lineup in the fall of 2020. The series also introduced the ‘mini’ model for the very first time.

Though netizens praised the return of the small form factor, the market preference is towards large-screen phones. Thus, the sales of iPhone 12 mini and its successor iPhone 13 mini tanked compared to the regular and pro models.

The global variant, identified by model number 2312DRAABG, has successfully cleared the NBTC certification, marking a significant step toward its worldwide debut. While the certification doesn’t reveal specific details about the device, expectations are that the global version of the Redmi Note 13 5G will closely mirror its Chinese counterpart in terms of specifications.
