BMW has unveiled its latest multi-channel campaign for the Vision Neue Klasse concept car, which previews the electric successor of the 3-Series that will enter production in 2025. The campaign, called “Neue New,” highlights the new design language and user interface of the concept car, as well as its commitment to electrification and sustainability.
The “Neue New” campaign will be focused on social media, with influencer collaborations and a new filter for Instagram and Snapchat that will bring users closer to the concept car using augmented reality. The campaign will also include other promotional activities, such as double-page spreads in print media.
The Vision Neue Klasse concept car is a major departure from BMW’s current design language. It has simpler lines and a more minimalist aesthetic, with features like a 3D-effect LED illuminated grille. The car also has a new user interface that is significantly different from the current BMW models. It features an all-new generation of the BMW iDrive system, which includes an ultra-wide head-up display that covers almost the entire width of the windshield.
While the concept car has some radical features, these are likely to be toned down significantly in the production model, which is scheduled to go into production in 2025. However, many of the design elements of the concept car are expected to be incorporated into the production model since BMW has said that the concept car is not just a static preview model, but a fully functional prototype.
BMW’s Vision Neue Klasse concept car is a glimpse into the future of the brand. It embodies BMW’s commitment to digitalization, and electrification, while still delivering on the brand’s promise of driving pleasure. BMW has not yet revealed the full specifications of the Vision Neue Klasse, but it has hinted that it could have a range of up to 1,000 kilometers thanks to its larger and more efficient batteries.
The iQOO Z8 smartphone, along with the iQOO Z8x, was introduced in China last week, targeting budget-conscious consumers seeking high-performance devices with strong hardware and powerful processors. There are indications that the iQOO Z8 may soon become available in international markets, as it has recently been identified on the Google Play Console.
iQOO Z8 (Vivo V2314A) listed on Google Play Console.
— தமிழன் டெக்னிக்கல் (Tamilan Techinical) (@TTechinical) September 8, 2023
The iQOO Z8 with model number V2314A has been spotted on the Google Play Console listing. We say it with certainty because the Chinese variant of the device has the same model number. The listing reveals that the device will feature an Android 13-based operating system.
The listing reveals that the global version of the iQOO Z8 will have a Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2388 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 8200 processor, along with the Mali-G610 GPU. It will also be available with 12GB of RAM.
As for the camera, the iQOO Z8 will have two cameras on the back: a 64MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there will be a 16MP front camera that can record 1080p videos. The global iQOO Z8 will also have a 5000mAh battery and support 120W fast charging. It will come with a headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Based on the information available, it seems that there won’t be any alterations to the specifications compared to the Chinese version. The only unanswered questions are about the pricing and release date. In China, the iQOO Z8 begins at RMB 1699, which is approximately $235. However, it’s common for global prices to be slightly higher than the Chinese prices. Therefore, it wouldn’t be unexpected if the smartphone is launched at a price point above $250.

Ubisoft has been developing a new Assassin’s Creed game codenamed Red, which is set in feudal Japan. The game has generated a lot of excitement among fans, and Tom Henderson from Insider-Gaming has now shared some new details about it. These include a focus on stealth and destructible environments.
Henderson says that AC Red will take inspiration from Splinter Cell, with players able to hide in shadows and use their environment to their advantage. The game will also feature destructible environments, which will allow players to cut or break through certain objects in order to sneak up on enemies. However, Henderson cautions that this destruction won’t be on the same scale as Battlefield, so don’t expect to be able to burst through solid walls.
In terms of story, AC Red will reportedly feature two playable characters: a male samurai and a female shinobi/ninja. The male character is said to be a refugee from Africa, and Henderson speculates that he could be based on the real-life figure Yasuke, one of the earliest documented Black samurai. The female character is said to be more agile than the male character, and she will likely specialize in stealth.
AC Red is rumored to launch in Holiday 2024. However, it’s worth noting that this is just a rumor for now, and Ubisoft has yet to officially announce the game. It will be interesting to see how these new details pan out, and whether AC Red can live up to the hype.
What do you think of these new details for Assassin’s Creed Red? Are you intrigued by the game’s focus on stealth and destructible environments? Or are you not feeling this entry in the franchise?
Twitter, once the global hub for news and personal social updates, has faced a significant drop in download numbers since its controversial rebranding as “X” by Elon Musk. A startling report by Apptopia reveals that the social media giant’s downloads plummeted by almost 30% within two months of the rebranding, marking its lowest point in over a decade.
Elon Musk / Getty Images
The Downward Spiral: A Look at “X”‘s Declining Downloads
The web version, still accessible via twitter.com, also witnessed a decrease in traffic, with global visits down by 10% in August compared to the previous year.
Historically, Twitter boasted an addition of 15 to 30 million new users monthly since 2011. However, recent data indicates that “X” secured a mere 10 million users between August and September this year. This substantial drop contrasts the platform’s performance last year, where it experienced only an 18% decrease in downloads just before Musk’s acquisition.
The dwindling appeal of “X” doesn’t end with new downloads. The app has also suffered in terms of user retention. In July, the daily active users stood at a robust 253 million, which has now decreased to 249 million in September. A similar trend is noticeable in monthly active users, seeing a fall from 398 million to 393 million within the same time frame.
These figures are a setback for Musk, who has previously expressed ambitions of hitting 1 billion monthly users by 2024. While there was an initial surge in downloads and usage following Musk’s takeover in October, the momentum couldn’t be sustained.
Despite the concerning numbers, it’s essential to highlight Musk’s ambitious vision for the app. Since his acquisition, he has been vocal about molding “X” to mirror the multi-functionality of apps like “WeChat”. In line with this vision, new features such as video and voice calls will soon be integrated into the platform.

In July, Realme unveiled the Realme 11 Pro 5G and Realme 11 Pro+ 5G smartphones in India. Last month, the brand unveiled the Realme 11 5G and Realme 11x 5G in the country. It appears that the brand is not done yet with the Realme 11 series. A new teaser reveals that the brand will also release a new phone in the series this month (September).
Since the brand has used the #DoubleAceDoubeLeap hashtag, it appears that it could be a new addition to the Realme 11 5G family. However, the exact name of the device is not known yet.
The above teaser suggests that it will be the most affordable 5G offering from Realme. In all likelihood, it could be positioned lower than the Realme 11x 5G, which debuted with a price tag of Rs 14,999 (~$180).
Realme’s sub-brand Narzo recently announced the Narzo 60x with a price tag of Rs 12,999 (~$156). It rivals the Redmi 12 5G, which costs Rs 12,499. Both phones are available on Amazon. The Poco M6 Pro 5G is available for Rs 12,999 (~$156) on Flipkart. Hence, the upcoming Realme 11 series phone could be a rival for the M6 Pro on the retailer site.
It appears that the mysterious Realme 11 5G series phone’s page will appear on Realme India’s website and Flipkart in the next few days. Stay tuned to GizmoChina for more updates on the exciting launch of the Realme 11 5G series phone.
WhatsApp, the messaging app owned by Meta, is constantly evolving with recent updates focusing on UI/UX enhancements and the addition of long-awaited features. The latest update, version 2.23.19.7, available through the Google Play Beta Program, brings an exciting development: chat filters.
Enhanced Chat Management with Filters
According to WABetaInfo, this new feature is designed to empower users with more control over their conversations, simplifying message management and prioritization. While it’s still in development, the latest beta update offers a sneak peek at some significant improvements.
The new filter allows users to compile a list of their group chats while excluding individual conversations. To enhance clarity and distinction, the “Personal” filter has been renamed to “Contacts” to exclusively include individual chats. Notably, the “Business” filter has been removed in this update.
Now there’s a dedicated “Groups” tab filter which is a welcome change, acknowledging users’ long-standing requests for an easier way to manage and organize group chats within the app. Many individuals are part of multiple groups, whether for work, family, friends, or hobbies, and this filter promises swifter access and better organization.
Presently, the feature is available to a limited group of WhatsApp beta testers but is expected to roll out to a broader audience in the near future, as it is refined and polished.

Alleged Redmi Note 13 Pro leaked schematic by DCS
According to the leaker, there are two low-end models that support 67W fast charging, along with a substantial battery capacity of approximately 5120mAh. It appears that these devices have 2312CRAD3C and 2312DRA50C model numbers, as per TENAA certification. While the exact names of these devices are not known, these model numbers could be associated with the Redmi Note 13 Pro.
The tipster added that there is a high-end model that supports 120W fast charging. This variant is likely to have a battery of around 5,000mAh. This model, which is said to have the 23090RA98C model number and has also emerged in TENAA’s database, could be the Redmi Note 13 Pro+.
Additionally, all three models of the Redmi Note 13 series are equipped with certified eye-protection screens that offer a 1.5K resolution. Moreover, these smartphones are set to feature 200-megapixel cameras equipped with a 1/1.4-inch Samsung HPX sensor for capturing high-resolution images.
According to TENAA certifications, the Redmi Note 13 Pro may have a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, while the Note 13 Pro+ may use a Dimensity 7200 chip. These devices are expected to differ in the RAM and storage departments. All models have a 16-megapixel front camera, a 200-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit, and a 6.67-inch AMOLED curved-edge display that offers 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

In August 2023, data from Runto Technology showed a retail volume of approximately 2.95 million televisions in China’s open online retail channels, marking a 20% drop compared to August 2022.
Dominance of Traditional Brands: Xiaomi and Hisense in Tight Race
The dominant players in the market remained the top seven traditional brands: Xiaomi, Hisense, TCL, Skyworth, Changhong, Haier, and Konka. Together, their total shipments for the month came close to 2.75 million units, inclusive of their respective sub-brands.
Hisense, with its sub-brand Vidda, took the lead in monthly sales, shipping slightly over 600,000 units. Xiaomi, inclusive of its Redmi sub-brand, closely followed with shipments around the same figure, positioning it in the second spot. Xiaomi has maintained its dominance in the Chinese TV market for the previous four years. From January to June 2023 alone, Xiaomi shipped almost 4 million units, capturing a commendable 23.3% market share.
TCL and its sub-brand, Leiniao, shipped about 580,000 units, coming in third. Skyworth and its Kukai sub-brand delivered around 570,000 units, standing fourth. An interesting observation is the similar shipment numbers among the top four brands. Notably, these brands have been emphasizing the 100-inch TV segment, hinting at potential market trends.
Changhong, Konka, and Haier formed the second tier of brands. Their combined shipments for August totaled roughly 370,000 units. This represented a significant year-on-year decline of 32.4%, resulting in a combined market share of just under 15%.
Huawei witnessed a substantial dip in its shipments with a 30% year-on-year drop. Meanwhile, the combined shipments of major international brands – Sony, Samsung, Philips, and Sharp – were around 100,000 units, down by 30% from the previous year. Their collective market share stood below 5%.
Overall, August 2023 saw a noticeable contraction in China’s TV sales. While traditional brands like Hisense and Xiaomi remained significant contributors, there’s a visible trend towards larger TV sizes. Simultaneously, some brands, especially international ones, are struggling to maintain their footing in the market.

The monitor is available in a black colorway and will ship to the global market. However, delivery dates and shipping costs vary.

The iRocks K74M mechanical keyboard stands out for its durable PBT keycaps, known for their longevity compared to ABS keycaps. It uses dual-color injection molding technology to ensure the backlight elements do not fade with regular use, ensuring long-lasting aesthetic appeal even with regular use.
The keyboard offers hot-swappable Gateron switches and compatibility with both 3-pin and 5-pin MX-style mechanical switches. This versatility enables users to customize their typing experience by adjusting tactile feedback and sound to suit their preferences.
The K74M also features a smart rotary knob, which serves both as a design element and a highly functional tool for multitasking. It is compatible with Windows 10 and 11 and offers versatile functionality, including volume control, scrolling, zooming, brush adjustments in graphic design, video editing, and multimedia control.
The keyboard incorporates sound-absorbing pads between the board and PCB, along with foam padding in the bottom shell to minimize typing noise. It connects via USB with a detachable USB-C cable for convenience. It also offers two-level adjustable feet for improved ergonomics. With a moderate weight of approximately 910g, it provides stability without being overly heavy.
On September 12, Apple will reveal its new iPhones at the “Wanderlust” event. They’re expected to release four models: iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max (which might also be called iPhone 15 Ultra). We’ve talked about the fancy features of the Pro versions, but the regular ones are getting some cool upgrades too. This could make a lot of people think about upgrading.
Design & display
In terms of design, there are some significant improvements in store. When it comes to the rear of the phones, both the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are expected to adopt a design similar to that of the iPhone 14 models, featuring a dual camera setup. However, there’s a rumor that the back will have frosted glass. Typically, this frosted glass finish has been reserved for the Pro models, while the regular models had a glossy finish. The frame of the device is said to be made out of Aluminium, providing durability, and the silent toggle button will be present on the left side.
Looking at the front of the phones, it’s anticipated that the display sizes and resolutions will remain the same as last year’s models. This means the iPhone 15 is likely to sport a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen with a resolution of 2532 × 1170 pixels. On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Plus might feature a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a resolution of 2778 x 1284 pixels. It’s worth noting that neither of them is expected to have the ProMotion feature, which offers a 120Hz refresh rate. Instead, they are set to feature 60Hz panels. On a different note, Apple is rumored to introduce the Dynamic Island feature on these devices.
For those who might not be familiar, Apple’s “Dynamic Island” represents a fresh approach to the “notch” design, which was introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Instead of the conventional blacked-out space at the top of the screen, Dynamic Island features a pill-shaped cutout that has the ability to change its shape and size. It’s an interactive element that can display various information like incoming calls, alerts, notifications, Face ID authentication, turn-by-turn navigation, music playback controls, and more. What’s intriguing is that you can tap or long-press on this area to access different functions or launch applications, essentially serving as a multitasking shortcut. Despite its versatility, Dynamic Island still conceals the iPhone’s TrueDepth front camera and the sensors responsible for Face ID.
Performance
The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are expected to be at least as powerful as last year’s Pro models since they are said to pack the Apple A16 Bionic chipset. Going by Apple’s own statements, the A16 Bionic chip has a 7% faster CPU than the A15 Bionic in the iPhone 14. It has a base clock speed of 3.46GHz compared to the 3.23GHz on the A15. To give you a better idea of how much improvement you can expect, the AnTuTu V9 score of the A15 is 805,699 points, whereas the A16 is usually around 947,554 points.
With that said, the upcoming 15 and 15 Plus models are likely to maintain 6GB of RAM as a starting point and begin with 128GB of storage. Another noteworthy enhancement comes in the form of battery capacity. According to the report, the iPhone 15 is expected to be powered by a 3,877mAh battery, while the 15 Plus is slated to receive a 4,912mAh battery. This represents an 18% increase in battery size for the iPhone 15 and a 13.6% bump for the 15 Plus, compared to their predecessors.
As we know, Apple is finally making its transition to a USB-C charging port this year for the entire iPhone lineup. Rumor has it that the brand will supply a braided, color-matched USB-C to USB-C cable in the box. If you have an old 5W USB-A port charger, you will have to buy a new one this year.
Camera
Another major upgrade is coming in the camera department. As per reports, base iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models are expected to feature an Apple-exclusive 48-megapixel Sony image sensor with ƒ/1.6 aperture for the main camera, which is a substantial upgrade from the 12-megapixel main camera on the iPhone 14. The increase in megapixels will allow for higher-resolution images with improved detail. There will also be a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor onboard with ƒ/2.4 aperture. The front camera inside the Dynamic Island is expected to have a 12-megapixel sensor with ƒ/1.9 aperture and auto-focus.
Pricing & color options
Unlike the Pro models, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are expected to debut with similar price tags. This means that the iPhone 15 will start at $799, whereas the 15 Plus model will start at $899. As for color options, leaks suggest that we can expect these devices to be available in Cyan, light blue, black, starlight, yellow, and coral pink at launch.
Apple has released a new security update for its iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and Apple Watch to address two zero-day vulnerabilities. Zero-day vulnerabilities are security flaws that are unknown to the software vendor and have not yet been patched. This makes them a serious threat, as attackers can exploit them without any resistance from the software.
The vulnerabilities addressed in the latest update are CVE-2023-41064 and CVE-2023-41061. They allow attackers to install malware on a device by loading a malicious image or attachment. The malware can then be used to steal data, track the user’s location, or take control of the device.
These vulnerabilities were first reported by the Citizen Lab, a spyware research group, at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy at the University of Toronto. Citizen Lab says that the vulnerabilities were being used to install NSO Group’s Pegasus mercenary spyware onto the iPhone. Not in the know, Pegasus is a powerful spyware tool that infects a phone and sends back data, including photos, messages, and audio / video recordings.
So it’s recommended that all users update their devices to the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and watchOS as soon as possible. The updates can be downloaded from the Settings app.
This is the second zero-day vulnerability that Apple has patched in recent months. In July, Apple released an update to address a zero-day vulnerability that was being exploited by attackers to install malware on iPhones and iPads.
The frequency of zero-day vulnerabilities is increasing, and it is important for users to keep their devices up to date with the latest security patches. By doing so, they can help to protect themselves from these serious threats.
