Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 design finally revealed via leaked renders

Samsung has been gearing up to launch its highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable smartphones in the market soon. But prior to the official announcement, a new report has finally offered us a first look at the Galaxy Z Flip 5 model via a leaked render.

Here’s a first look at the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 with its large cover display

The news arrives from a MySmartPrice report, who shared new design render of the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Sources close to the matter have leaked the render of the upcoming foldable phone, which finally offers us a first look at the device. Looking at this render, we can see the design of the device, which confirms the large new cover display on the Galaxy Z Flip 5. For those unaware, the upcoming Flip model has been rumored to feature a taller 3.4 inch external display. This is much bigger than the 1.9 inch that was seen in previous iterations. Notably, this makes it even larger than the 3.26 inch display found in the Oppo Find N2 Flip as well.

Samsung

The dual camera setup is housed horizontally with the cover display situated right beneath it. Thanks to the higher screen real estate, the device will likely be able to add more functionality and display more information on this panel. The screen is not a simple squarish panel as the region below the camera module curves downward. Meanwhile, the LED flash is now housed right next to the dual camera setup. One such example is it being used as a better viewfinder for taking selfies with the higher resolution rear cameras. Rather than curving underneath the cameras, the design would’ve appeared to be a lot more seamless if the cover panel covered the entire rear with cutouts for the rear cameras. But this is likely a conscious choice by the brand and does not outright copy the design language of its competitor.

Based on what we know so far, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will feature a tall 6.7 inch primary AMOLED display that has a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. Under the hood, it will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and will be powered by a 3,700mAh battery pack that might support 25W fast charging. The rear will likely retain the 12 megapixel dual camera setup while the front houses a 12 megapixel selfie shooter. Samsung’s next gen clamshell folding phone will run on Android 13 OS based OneUI 5.1 out of the box and house a side mounted fingerprint scanner for security. The render leak didn’t revealed any other finer details, so stick around for more updates.

Asus

The official Asus ROG India Twitter handle has tweeted out a teaser for the ROG Ally, hinting at its upcoming arrival in India. This is great news for Indian gamers as the ROG Ally will be among the first current-gen handheld gaming consoles launching in the country. Yes, the Nintendo Switch and the Valve Steam deck can be bought in India, however, the respective brands have not officially launched them in the country, which results in the imported consoles selling for high prices and without any warranty or official customer support.

The surge in mobile gaming in India suggests a strong desire for gaming handhelds within the country. However, the pricing of these consoles will significantly impact their popularity. Recent leaks unveiled the pricing details of the ROG Ally with the AMD Ryzen Z1 processor, estimated at 71,999 INR (approximately $875), while the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor variant is expected to cost 79,999 INR (around $973). These leaked prices appear considerably higher compared to the US prices of $599 and $699 respectively, which may seem exorbitant to Indian consumers.

Asus ROG Ally gaming handheld specs

The Asus ROG Ally handheld gaming console features a 7-inch IPS display with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The screen offers smooth visuals with its 120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection for added durability.

The console is powered by the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, based on the Zen 4 architecture. There is also a slightly lower-spec version available with the Ryzen Z1 processor. With AMD Radeon Navi3 Graphics, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD, the ROG Ally delivers strong performance for gaming and multitasking.

Running on Windows 11, the console provides access to a wide range of games from platforms like Steam, EA apps, Epic Games, and Xbox Game Pass. It even includes a three-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The dual speaker setup with Asus’ Smart Amplifier Technology enhances the gaming experience with improved audio quality.

In terms of connectivity, the console offers a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type C port combo for the ROG XG Mobile Interface, and support for a UHS-II microSD card reader. However, it’s important to note that the battery life of the ROG Ally’s 40WHr battery with 65W charging support may not match up to its competitors, such as the Steam Deck.

This technology, known as virtual production, was first used in the popular Disney+ series The Mandalorian. Most recently, Samsung unveiled “The Wall for Virtual Production,” a new display specifically designed for use in virtual production studios. Here are the details…

Samsung unveiled The Wall for Virtual Production, a new display that is specifically designed for use in virtual production studios. Sony to Allow PS5 Owners to Stream Their Games Without an Extra Subscription Fee

Advancements in technology and increasing internet speeds are creating new opportunities in many different sectors. For instance, games that once required powerful hardware can now be played on even a phone, thanks to streaming platforms like GeForce Now. This technology, which has been defined as the future of the gaming world, has attracted investments from numerous companies so far. Now, Sony is currently testing the streaming of PS5 games for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers. Here are the details…

Sony is testing PS5 game cloud streaming for PS Plus Premium users

Sony recently announced its new handheld device, Project Q. This device is designed to compete with the Nintendo Switch. The handheld will use streaming technology to play games, which means that the games will be processed and rendered on remote servers and then streamed to the device. However, streaming technology has some advantages and disadvantages.

Sony is aware that cloud gaming technology is not perfect, and they are working to improve it. They have recently started testing PS5 game cloud streaming for PS Plus Premium users. This is still in the early stages, and Sony has not yet announced when the feature will be available to everyone. They have also not said which PS5 games will be available for streaming. However, they have said that “supported digital PS5 titles that players own” will be included. This means that gamers who have already purchased PS5 games will be able to stream them without having to pay for a separate subscription.

PS Plus Premium is the highest tier of Sony’s subscription service. It costs $15 per month and includes a library of PS3, PS4, and classic games, as well as cloud streaming for PS3, PS4, and “classic” titles. The addition of PS5 game streaming would make PS Plus Premium a more attractive option for gamers who want to play the latest games without having to download them.

Sony has not yet said when PS5 game streaming will be available to the general public. However, the company has said that it will be “available when we’re ready.”

Following this, Virgin Galactic aims to maintain a monthly flight schedule, although specific details about future missions remain undisclosed. Notably, the company plans to livestream the first two flights via its website, offering the public a front-row seat to witness history in the making.

Virgin Galactic

Virgin Galactic’s path to this milestone has been lined with challenges and setbacks. The commencement of commercial spaceflights holds immense significance for Virgin Galactic’s business trajectory. Having incurred substantial losses for years, amounting to over $500 million in 2022 alone, the company eagerly anticipates a turn towards stable profits. While the ticket price of almost half a million dollars per passenger may not immediately fill in for the extensive investments, it is expected to provide a substantial and sustainable source of revenue in the future, fueling future growth and innovation.

In the arena of space tourism, Virgin Galactic may still trail behind Blue Origin, but it is set to overtake SpaceX with the launch of Galactic 01. Unlike Elon Musk‘s ambitious SpaceX, which is yet to achieve orbital spaceflight and is targeting lunar tourist flights in late 2024, Virgin Galactic has managed to realize its goals at a faster pace, still holding its position in the commercial space travel industry.

As the eagerly awaited launch of Galactic 01 draws near, we get one step closer to a future where space tourism becomes accessible to those with a thirst for adventure and the means to embark on an extraordinary journey beyond the confines of our planet. With each successful mission, Virgin Galactic will advance the stage for a new era of space exploration.
