OnePlus Nord 3 European pricing leaks ahead of launch

The Nord lineup is ready to welcome its third member into the family soon. The OnePlus Nord 3 is reported to launch in the global market in the near future as a rebranded OnePlus Ace 2V, which is limited to China. Earlier today, a report shared detailed images as well as the storage variants of the smartphone. And now a tipster is here with its pricing details for Europe.

As per tipster Roland Quant, the OnePlus Nord 3 will debut in Europe with a starting price tag of €449 for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version. The higher-end trim with 16GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage could cost customers in the old continent €549. This price will vary depending on the country you live in. Also, it should be comparatively lower in markets like India.

OnePlus Nord 3 Specifications (expected)

Although the OnePlus Nord 3 is reported to be a rebranded Ace 2V, it might not feature the exact same specifications as its Chinese counterpart. For one, the Nord 3 is rumored to get a 16MP front camera and a triple camera unit consisting of a 50MP main camera (with OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro shooter. But the Ace 2V gets a 64MP primary camera with OIS. There may be other differences.

The Nord 3 will likely flaunt a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will be powered by the Dimensity 9000 chipset paired with up to 16 GB of RAM. It could pack 128 GB / 256 GB of storage and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support. You may see an under-display fingerprint scanner for security.

Global Vivo Y02t inches closer to launch, gets TDRA certified

Vivo has launched many smartphones in the Y series recently, including the Vivo Y35+, Vivo Y36, and more. These phones are available in different regions with some limited to China. The company is also gearing up to launch a budget smartphone soon, called the Vivo Y02t. It has leaked extensively in the past. And while we wait for the official announcement, the Y02t has now been spotted on the TDRA website, hinting at an imminent launch.

A device with the same name is already available for purchase in the Indian market. However, this new variant is aimed at the global market. Vivo Y02t has appeared on the TDRA website bearing the model number V2254. Apart from the model number, we don’t get anything interesting from the certification.

Vivo Y02t Specifications

Vivo Y02t is already official in India and we can expect the global version to feature the same specifications. The smartphone gets a 6.5 inches IPS LCD with a 270 PPI density and a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. It measures 164 x 75.6 x 8.5 mm and it weighs 186 grams.

The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P30 processor paired with Mali-G71 MP2, 3 GB RAM, and 32 GB internal storage. The handset gets only a single 8MP camera on the rear while on the front there is a 5 MP selfie shooter.

The device is fueled by a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W wired charging. It is offered in Black and Gold colors and runs Android 13 out of the box. The Indian version of the smartphone is already listed on Flipkart with a price tag of Rs. 9,999.

Realme C51 receives TDRA certification, launch imminent

Realme’s upcoming smartphone, the Realme C51, has recently obtained TDRA certification, further hinting at its imminent launch. Realme, known for its high-quality devices, released the Realme C53 earlier this month and is now focusing on its next C-series smartphone.

Realme C51 passes TDRA certification with model number RMX3830

Initially mistaken for one of the Realme 11 series devices, the Realme C51’s true identity was revealed through its NBTC certification. The smartphone has now surfaced on the TDRA certification with the model number RMX3830, consistent with its appearance on other certification platforms. The certification, which bears the equipment registration number ER21032/23, will remain valid until June 8, 2026.

In addition to the TDRA and NBTC certifications, the Realme C51 has obtained various other certifications, including TUV Rheinland, BIS Indian, Indonesia’s TKDN, and Europe’s EEC certifications. Its BIS certification confirms its upcoming launch in India.

The Realme C51 is expected to be a 4G device, supporting 2G, 3G, and 4G network connectivity. Its TUV Rheinland certification reveals a robust 4880 mAh battery, complemented by a fast charging capability of up to 33W. With appearances on multiple certification platforms, the launch of the Realme C51 is drawing near.

Final Fantasy 16 Demo brings 4 hours of gameplay

The studio behind the FF16 have released a new demo on the PlayStation store, which consists of two segments from the full game. This first segment alone offers 2 hours of gameplay, which is set during a playable prologue of the game. Furthermore, the save data from this segment can even be carries forward to the full game when the game drops later this month. On the other hand, the second part of the demo is another 2 hour long segment.

Although, this part of the upcoming Final Fantasy XVI is more action focused and is based around a mission that shows Clive’s infiltration of a fort. But unlike the prologue, this section of the game’s save data will not be transferred to the final game. This makes sense considering the fact that this part takes place later in the story unlike the prologue. The second segment of the demo is also primarily focused on showcasing the combat of the game and was action packed.

For those unaware, the Final Fantasy XVI is set to hit the stores for the Sony PlayStation 5 on 22nd June 2023. So one can check out this demo on their PlayStation before deciding on purchasing the full game.

Nothing has officially announced the launch date of the Nothing Phone (2). It is set to debut on July 11th at 4 pm BST (8:30 pm IST). The brand has also shared a teaser video of the upcoming offering on its Twitter handle. It gives us a glimpse at the smartphone’s back panel design. The launch event will be livestreamed.

The Nothing Phone (2) will debut in the third week of July. The brand has been revealing key details about the upcoming smartphone leading up to the launch event. The latest teaser video shared by the company on Twitter reveals the Glyph interface of the Phone (2). The device will probably retain the transparent back panel. The smartphone has two strips of LED light surrounding the pill-shaped camera module and multiple small strips surrounding the charging coil. Apart from this, the teaser does not reveal any additional detail.

The Glyph interface seen in the teaser video is in line with the leaked renders. However, soon after the renders emerged, Carl Pei tweeted ‘Fake’ without any context. It remains to be seen if the Phone (2) will have a different design compared to its predecessor. The leaked renders of the upcoming offering revealed a slim profile and a slightly rounded frame.

The Nothing Phone (2) is confirmed to be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It will be backed by a 4,700mAh battery unit. The device will come with RAW HDR format and 4K 60 fps video recording. The smartphone is confirmed to not receive a significant price hike despite the upgrades. It is also said to be manufactured in India.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 sort of competes with the OnePlus Pad despite being much more affordable. Even the accessories are cheaper making them more accessible.

Excellent pricing makes the Xiaomi Pad 6 a better deal than the costlier OnePlus Pad in India. Here’s why we think this way.

Better for Media Consumption

The OnePlus Pad has a slightly larger 11.61-inch display with more pixels (2800 x 2000) than the 11-inch screen with 2880 x 1800 pixels on the Xiaomi Pad 6. However, you will find the latter better to consume content.

Because though panels on both tablets support HDR10 and Dolby Vision, you can stream content in these HDR standards only on Xiaomi Pad 6. For some reason, OnePlus has not certified its device to play DRM-protected content in HDR.

Secondly, Xiaomi Pad 6 gives you an option to force HDR for standard content too. Also, the display is brighter at 550 nits compared to 500 nits.

Well-optimized for Gaming

The MediaTek Dimesnity 9000 SoC present inside the OnePlus Pad is more powerful than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset found inside the Xiaomi Pad 6. However, the latter chip is well-optimized for games.

Developers are known to optimize their games more for Qualcomm Snapdragon chips. That’s because most high-end smartphones feature Qualcomm chips.

As a result, despite being less powerful, the gaming experience on the Xiaomi Pad 6 is comparatively better than the OnePlus Pad. Almost all games can be played in the highest ever quality possible with little to no frame drops and lower thermals.

Comparatively Finer Software

The Xiaomi Pad 5 boots MIUI 14 for Pad compared to OxygenOS 13.1 on OnePlus Pad. Xiaomi’s software has well thought tablet-focussed features heavily inspired by iPadOS.

These features enable you to be more productive. For instance, you can multitask better in split-view along with floating windows.

Anyway, it is worth noting that the Android app library for tablets still pales against what you get on iPadOS.

The Pricing

The Xiaomi Pad 6 not only offers an overall better experience but is also ₹11,000 cheaper than the OnePlus Pad in India. The Xiaomi tablet starts at ₹26,999 (6GB + 128GB) as opposed to ₹37,999 (8GB + 128GB) for OnePlus’ offering.

For the price of the base OnePlus Pad, you can get the base Xiaomi Pad 6, Xiaomi Smart Pen 2nd Generation (₹5,999), and Xiaomi Pad 6 Keyboard (₹4,999).

Even if you opt for the higher 8GB + 256GB variant of the Xiaomi Pad 6 (₹28,999) along with the aforementioned accessories, it will only cost you the same as the 12GB + 256GB version of the OnePlus Pad (₹39,999).

Bitdefender researchers have recently uncovered a large population of apps that were infected with malware. The team found tens of thousands of apps being affected by this issue thanks to its latest anomaly detection technology.

Over 60,000 Android apps suffer from hidden malware

The researchers announced a first of its kind app with anomaly detection technology. Bitdefender’s team brought new technology into Bitdefender Mobile Security. This app was used to uncover a hidden malware campaign living undetected on devices all across the globe. The malware detection was carried out for more than six months. The researchers found that the mobile malware has been found running undiscovered for a long time on Android apps.

Bitdefender also found that the malware campaign sought to bring adware to Android enabled devices for the purpose of generating revenue. But this is just one part of the issue as the people behind this can also redirect users to other types of malware as well. This includes banking Trojans to steal the Android users sensitive credentials. Notably, this news also arrives a month after we reported on an Android trojan that was dubbed “DogeRAT”, which targeted Indian users and stole their personal and financial information

The researchers have found over 60,000 applications that carry this adware and suspects that there are plenty more apps that are affected by this issue in the app stores. The new anomaly detection technology was first deployed back in October 2022 and already found such a high number of affected apps. But without the new technology, these would’ve likely gone undiscovered for longer. Looking at some of the types of apps that are mimicked by the malware:

Connectivity options on the OPPO Reno 9A include 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm jack, and a USB-C port.

The OPPO Reno 9A is priced at Yen 40,656. It is offered in Night Black and Moon White colors. The smartphone is up for pre-orders with sales commencing on June 22nd in Japan. OPPO has not revealed the global availability of the Reno 9A.

The device has been spotted on UAE’s TDRA certification site. The smartphone is listed with model number V2248. The certification does not reveal any key details about the Vivo Y36 5G.

We can expect the Vivo Y36 5G to launch in the UAE market soon. The smartphone is also expected to pack the same specifications as its Indonesian and Malaysian counterparts. We will know more details about the pricing and availability in UAE in the coming weeks.

In Indonesia and Malaysia, the Vivo Y36 5G features a 6.44-inch LCD display with a center-aligned punch-hole cutout. It has a 90Hz refresh rate and an FHD+ resolution. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. On the imaging front, the Vivo Y36 5G’s dual camera setup of 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth lens. Nothing is gearing up to launch the Nothing Phone (2) in July, ahead of the launch, the brand has confirmed some details about the device. The design of the Phone (2) also leaked online recently, however, Nothing Founder and CEO Carl Pei went out of his way and said that the renders are fake, however, leaked TPU cases say otherwise.

The leak has emerged on /LEAKS revealing the various cutouts for speaker vents, Type C port, and microphone. Another two cutouts can be seen on the rear side for the flash and camera module. The cutout all aligns with the previously leaked renders.

One noteworthy feature that has come to light is the reinforced corners, which offer protection against accidental damage from falls. Although Nothing has officially announced this feature, it is speculated that the Phone (2) may come with a protective cover that not only safeguards the device but also showcases Nothing’s iconic design.

Nothing has made official announcements regarding the upcoming Nothing Phone (2), providing insights into its specifications. We already know that iQOO is working on a new iQOO 11s smartphone model. But now, a new leak has revealed another key detail regarding the upcoming 11 series device that will likely launch sometime next month. So let’s have a look.

iQOO 11s will reportedly skip the V2 ISP over an independent display chip

The latest information arrives from known tipster Digital Chat Station, who shared the details on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website). In the online post, the tipster added that the iQOO 11s will take on the likes of the Realme GT Neo 5 Pro, Redmi K60 Ultra, and OnePlus Ace 2 Pro in the market. He further added that the iQOO 11s will not feature the Vivo V2 ISP, which its prototype model featured. Rather, the production model will be equipped with a dedicated display chip.

Apart from this, Digital Chat Station even revealed certain key specs regarding the iQOO 11s. The device will sport a tall 6.78 inch 2K E6 AMOLED display that has 144Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, it will feature a Sony IMX866V primary camera on the back as well as 200W fast charging rate support. The camera on the rear is the 50 megapixel shooter, while the smartphone is expected to be powered by a 4,700mAh battery pack.

Other notable features include, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC. Based on what we know so far, the device will launch sometime in early July, with its first sale likely kicking off by 8th July 2023. The Cupertino based giant’s iPhone 14 starts for a price tag of 79,900 INR. But during the Apple Sale Days on Amazon, the base iPhone will be available for purchase for just 67,999 INR. Keep in mind that this is for the 128GB variant. Meanwhile, the 256GB and 512GB storage versions will go on sale for just 89,900 INR and 109,900 INR are being sold for just 77,999 INR, and 97,999 INR respectively.

This marks a notable discount since the base model saw a 15 percent discount, while the 256GB variant saw a 13 percent discount and the 512GB model saw an 11 percent discount. On the other hand, the iPhone 14 Plus which had a launch price of 89,900 INR is now on sale for around 76,900 INR for its 128GB model. Similarly, the 256GB model has a discounted price tag of 86,999 INR, and the 512GB model will be sold for 106,999 INR.

In other words, the iPhone 14 Plus has seen a 14 percent discount for the base model and 13 percent discount for the 256GB model. The top end 512GB model sees a near 11 percent discount. Apple Sale Days event also includes the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models as well. The iPhone 14 Pro had a launch price tag of 129,900 INR for its 128GB model but has a new discounted price of 119,999 INR. The 256GB model has new price tag of 134,990 INR.

The top end iPhone 14 Pro Max also saw a price drop down to just 127,999 INR, from its original 139,900 INR price tag. The 256GB variant of this device is available for 143,990 INR as well. Lastly, the 1TB iPhone 14 Pro Max saw a slight discount of around 7,000 INR as well. It is now being sold for 182,990 INR. According to the financial report, Oracle’s total revenue for the quarter reached $13.8 billion, marking a 17% year-on-year increase. This surpassed analysts’ average forecast of $13.7 billion, demonstrating Oracle’s ability to surpass expectations. The net income, excluding special income, stood at $1.67 per share, outperforming analysts’ projection of $1.58 per share. Oracle’s cloud computing business specifically experienced impressive growth, with fourth-quarter revenue reaching $4.4 billion, a 54% increase compared to the previous year. The cloud infrastructure segment contributed $1.4 billion in revenue, growing by 17%, while cloud software sales rose by 45% to $3 billion.

Oracle CEO Safra Catz expressed confidence in the company’s future, stating that they anticipate that the company will surpass the current growth rate of the previous fiscal year in the upcoming year. Oracle has strategically expanded its cloud computing infrastructure to compete with industry leaders like Amazon and Microsoft. While the growth rates of these companies have slowed down, Oracle’s cloud computing business has thrived. The increasing demand for generative artificial intelligence in the market has significantly boosted Oracle’s cloud computing business. As evidence, generative AI startup Cohere recently secured $270 million in funding, with Oracle being one of the investors.

Following the release of the financial report, Barclays Bank analyst Raimo Lenschow predicted that Oracle’s stock price would continue to rise. The stock closed at a record high of $116.43 per share, representing a 42% increase since the beginning of the year.
