Lenovo Legion Y700 Infinite specs tipped: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 8-inch OLED, 5G connectivity

The Legion Y700 Infinite is teased for a China launch in August 2026, and it builds on the already solid Y700 Gen 5 by adding some meaningful upgrades that could make it a lot more versatile for gamers and power users on the move.

According to Weibo tipster Digital Char Station, the big upgrades include an 8-inch OLED display with a centered punch-hole selfie camera. That’s a nice step up from the standard IPS LCD on the regular Y700 Gen 5.

Even more exciting is the addition of 5G cellular connectivity, a first for the Legion Y700 series. It’ll support dual-SIM standby (physical SIM + eSIM), the fast N79 5G band, and a smart multi-antenna setup for reliable signal no matter how you hold it. This turns the tablet from a Wi-Fi-only device into a true go-anywhere machine, perfect for cloud gaming and streaming on the go.

Under the hood, it’s expected to run an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with CPU speeds peaking at up to 4.74 GHz. Memory and storage options look generous too: 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, 24GB/512GB, and a top-tier 24GB/1TB version. There’s also talk of a 50MP rear camera and cool RGB lighting on the back to match that gaming vibe.

At around 310g, the Infinite is about 50g lighter than the standard Legion Y700 Gen 5 (known globally as the Legion Tab Gen 5). That slimmer, lighter feel, paired with the OLED screen and 5G, should make it noticeably more portable while keeping the strong performance and cooling the series is known for.

The regular Y700 Gen 5, which launched earlier this year, impressed with its 8.8-inch 165Hz display, huge 9,000mAh battery, and top-tier performance. The Infinite variant seems designed to fix some of its main limitations, especially the lack of cellular connectivity and the display tech. These upgrades would help it better compete with devices like the Red Magic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro, sold globally as the Red Magic Astra 2. Global availability is still unclear, but it would be great to see it reach more markets.

Cancelled Poco X8 resurfaces in a new leak, huge 9,000mAh battery expected

In a recent leak, tipster Kacper Skrzypek revealed the existence of the Poco M8 Power smartphone. Now, in a new X post, the same source has revealed the existence of the Poco X8. While the name may sound familiar, Poco has not launched the X8 yet. Earlier this year, the brand unveiled the Poco X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max, and the standard X8 was widely believed to have been cancelled. The new leak not only revives the X8 but also reveals a key detail about it.

Poco X8’s key details emerge

The tipster found details about the upcoming Poco X8 in HyperOS code, revealing that it will feature a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel auxiliary lens. This is because the device is expected to be a rebranded version of China’s Redmi Note 17 Pro, which features the same rear camera setup.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro is currently exclusive to the Chinese market. However, it is expected to launch globally in the coming days. The Indian variant is said to retain the 9,000mAh battery found in the Chinese model, while the global version is expected to feature a slightly smaller 8,340mAh battery.

The tipster neither revealed whether the Poco X8 will have separate global and Indian variants nor commented on its other specifications. If there are different variants, the Indian edition may pack a 9,000mAh battery, while the global variant could feature an 8,340mAh unit.

As a rebranded Redmi Note 17 Pro, the Poco X8 is expected to feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, 67W fast charging, 22.5W reverse charging, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

At present, there is no information about the Poco X8’s launch timeline. It remains to be seen whether the Poco M8 Power and Poco X8 will debut together. For those unaware, the Poco M8 Power is also expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 17 from China.

Vivo X500 Ultra leak reveals three 200MP telephoto sensors under consideration

A fresh leak from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station suggests Vivo has not yet finalized the camera hardware for the upcoming Vivo X500 Ultra. Instead, the company is reportedly evaluating multiple 200-megapixel periscope telephoto sensors before locking in the final imaging system.

Vivo X500 Ultra’s periscope telephoto sensor undecided

According to the tipster, Vivo is currently testing three different 200-megapixel telephoto sensors with varying sizes: 1/1.12-inch, 1/1.3-inch, and 1/1.4-inch. The largest 1/1.12-inch sensor is described as a more aggressive approach for telephoto photography, while the 1/1.3-inch and 1/1.4-inch options are considered more balanced solutions.

The leak indicates that Vivo’s engineering team is still comparing the strengths and trade-offs of each sensor. A larger sensor could deliver improved light gathering and image quality at long focal lengths, although it would also require a more complex and space-intensive camera module. The smaller alternatives may offer a better balance between imaging performance, device thickness, and overall camera design.

This development also aligns with an earlier report from June, which claimed Vivo had dropped plans to adopt a dedicated 10x periscope camera for the X500 Ultra. At the time, Digital Chat Station said the company had cancelled a prototype featuring a 10x telephoto lens and instead planned to continue using a single 200-megapixel periscope camera paired with in-sensor zoom technology.

Since the X500 Ultra is still under development, the final camera configuration remains subject to change. However, the latest information suggests Vivo is carefully evaluating different hardware options to optimize the phone’s telephoto capabilities before mass production begins.

The Vivo X500 Ultra is unlikely to launch this year. Probably, it will be unveiled in the first half of 2027 in China as well as the global market.

Casio launches limited-edition Nintendo Mother 3 G-Shock with a design straight out of the cult classic RPG

Casio has teamed up with the Mother video game franchise for a new limited-edition G-Shock, this time releasing a bright yellow model to mark the 20th anniversary of Nintendo’s Mother 3.

Nintendo Mother 3 G-Shock

Design Details

Based on the classic DW-5600, often referred to as the Speed Model, the new watch leans heavily into the game’s aesthetic. The vibrant yellow resin case and band are directly inspired by the sunflower fields from Chapter 6 of the game, paired with red accents that reference the Mother series logo.

The hardware includes several game-specific details. The resin band is printed with pixel-art Mr. Saturn characters, while the LED backlight reveals a retro sunflower field graphic when activated in the dark.

On the back, the stainless steel case is engraved with the word “Potential!”. Additionally, this model includes a removable gold-colored wire protector over the mineral glass display, which is a first for Casio’s Mother collaboration line.

Underneath the gaming branding, it retains the standard specifications of a DW-5600. It features Casio’s standard shock resistance, 200 meters (20 ATM) of water resistance, and an estimated five-year battery life. The watch weighs 55 grams and ships in a custom sunflower-themed metal storage tin.

Pricing and Availability

Getting one will require navigating a lottery system. The watch is priced at ¥19,800 ($122) and will be sold exclusively in Japan.

Lottery applications open on the Hobonichi Mother’s Shop website (www.1101.com) starting July 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM JST and will close on July 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM JST.

For those local to Tokyo, a sample unit is currently on display at the TOBICHI Tokyo gallery until July 29.

Caviar launches limited-edition Messi and Ronaldo phones with 24K gold finishes

Caviar, the company known for customizing electronics with precious metals, has announced its new Legends collection. Timed with the end of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the lineup features customized versions of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and the current flagship Apple iPhone 17 Pro.

Caviar Messi and Ronaldo editions

Design Details

The designs are centered around football players Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, replacing the standard glass and metal components with enamel and gold.

The Messi edition uses the unreleased Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. Caviar replaces the standard back panel with a portrait of Messi, his jersey number 10, and Argentine national symbols.

The design uses cloisonne enamel, a metalworking technique where colored glass is fired inside wire enclosures to incorporate the white and light blue colors of the Argentina national team.

The phone’s frame and the outlines of the artwork are plated in 24-karat gold. This model starts at $13,130 for the 256GB version.

The Ronaldo version is based on the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. It uses the same cloisonne enamel method but features the red and green colors of the Portuguese national team.

The back panel shows Ronaldo’s portrait, the number 7, and the Portuguese coat of arms over a geometric background.

It also includes 24-karat gold plating on the frame and design accents. The base 256GB iPhone 17 Pro model starts at $11,410.

Caviar is producing 19 units of each design. The phones come in custom packaging that includes a gold-plated key and a branded coin.

The company also mentioned a custom iPhone Ultra featuring Erling Haaland, which will be fulfilled after Apple‘s expected hardware event in September.

The announcement coincides with the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup, which is anticipated to be the last tournament appearance for both Messi and Ronaldo.

While the iPhone 17 Pro has been available since last year, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is slated to launch next week on July 22nd, making the Samsung version an early pre-order.

Green line issue spreads from phones to Galaxy watches and fitness bands

The same display issue that has affected smartphones from multiple brands now appears to be affecting Samsung’s Galaxy smartwatches as well.

A recent report caught attention after a Reddit user named HKNworld posted photos of their Galaxy Watch 4 developing a thin vertical green (or white) line running down the right side of the screen. Another shot showed an even worse defect, including a dead pixel. According to the user, the line popped up shortly after installing the One UI 8 Watch update (or a follow-up security patch).

The Galaxy Watch 4 may not be the only model affected, either. A separate Reddit post shared about a week ago shows a Galaxy Fit 3, reportedly less than two years old, developing a similar vertical green line on its display. While it’s far too early to determine how widespread the problem is, the reports suggest the issue is not limited to a single wearable model.

This resembles the green and pink line problems many Galaxy phone users have faced after major One UI updates. Those issues are often blamed on thermal stress during the update process putting strain on the AMOLED panels.

The Galaxy Watch 4 came out back in 2021, so it’s now well past its warranty period. While it’s not yet a widespread epidemic on watches, seeing it hit older models like the Watch 4 is concerning, especially since that model already had its share of other issues, like the infamous Red Screen of Death.

For most watch owners, getting the screen fixed will probably mean paying out of pocket, and Samsung may be reluctant to offer free repairs across the board to avoid setting a precedent.

This situation highlights some ongoing headaches with Samsung’s AMOLED technology across its whole lineup. For Galaxy Watch 4 owners dealing with this, it might be time to decide whether it’s worth spending money on a screen replacement or upgrading to something newer like the Galaxy Watch 7 or 8 series. Samsung hasn’t made any official statement about the watch reports yet.

If you’re seeing similar issues, make sure to document everything clearly before heading to an authorized service center.

Casio launches new retro-inspired watches with clean dials and steel cases in the US

Casio has released three new watches from its MTP-B146 series in the US market. The lineup includes the silver-tone MTP-B146D-1AV and MTP-B146D-2AV, alongside the gold-finished MTP-B146G-3AV. These analog watches lean into a 1980s aesthetic, focusing entirely on basic timekeeping without any smart features.

Casio MTP-B146 watches

Design Details

The watches feature a full day-of-the-week display at the 12 o’clock position, showing the complete day name instead of the usual abbreviated format. The dial also includes a standard numbered date window at the 3 o’clock mark. The rest of the face is kept straightforward, relying on simple indices and standard hands to track the hours, minutes, and seconds.

All three models share the same physical dimensions, with stainless steel cases measuring 40.8 x 35 millimeters and a slim thickness of 8 millimeters. Each watch weighs 85 grams and includes a matching stainless steel band that secures with a one-touch, three-fold clasp.

The dial is covered by mineral glass, and the casing is rated for 50 meters of water resistance, making it suitable for basic water exposure like washing hands or shallow swimming.

Internally, the watches use a standard quartz movement. They are powered by a single SR920SW battery, which is estimated to last about three years before needing a replacement.

Pricing varies slightly based on the exterior finish. The standard stainless steel models, the MTP-B146D-1AV and MTP-B146D-2AV, are priced at $110. The MTP-B146G-3AV, which features a gold ion-plated treatment on both the case and the band, costs $130.

All three models are designed to accommodate wrist sizes ranging from 150 to 205 millimeters and are available to purchase now on the Casio US website.

In related news, Casio has recently launched its all-black G-Steel watches in the US, featuring Bluetooth connectivity, solar charging, and a slimmer design. The company also introduced two new Color Camo models with a Y2K-inspired aesthetic.

Rogbid launches Breeze handheld fan with metal unibody, cooling plate & LED light

Rogbid has announced the Breeze, a new portable handheld fan. Unlike most portable fans that rely on standard plastic housings, the Breeze is built with an aluminum alloy unibody.

Rogbid Breeze

Rogbid Breeze Specifications

The fan features a built-in semiconductor cooling plate positioned in the center of the head. When the cooling mode is activated, this four-layer composite panel actively lowers its surface temperature, allowing you to press the chilled metal directly against your skin. The mechanism relies on the same basic Peltier cooling technology typically found in snap-on coolers for gaming smartphones, repurposed here for personal use.

Rogbid Breeze

For standard airflow, the device is equipped with a proprietary motor that spins at up to 13,000 RPM. It drives a seven-blade fan, pushing air through a honeycomb-style front grille. Rather than using the typical three or four preset speed buttons found on most fans, Rogbid has implemented a stepless scroll wheel.

This allows you to adjust the fan speed across 199 distinct levels, offering highly granular control over both the volume of airflow and the motor noise. Just above this scroll wheel, a small digital display shows the current speed setting and the exact remaining battery percentage.

Rogbid Breeze

The fan is powered by a dual-cell 6,000mAh battery and charges via a standard USB-C port. The design also incorporates a few functional additions for different environments. The fan head is attached to a hinge that can tilt up to 145 degrees, allowing the device to be placed on a flat surface and used as a directional desk fan.

The bottom of the handle features a built-in carabiner clip so it can be attached to a backpack or lanyard. It also features an integrated LED light that can be switched between standard illumination, SOS flashing, and strobe modes with a simple double-tap of the control button.

Pricing and Availability

The Rogbid Breeze is available now on the company’s official website for $39.99. It comes in two color options: Moonlight Silver and Tech Black.

In related news, Rogbid has recently unveiled the Loop Air, a screenless fitness band that packs built-in ECG monitoring and GPS tracking.

OpenAI’s debut hardware is the Codex Micro, a smart keypad for controlling AI agents

OpenAI has finally entered the hardware space, but its first product is not the screenless AI companion that recent rumours suggested. Instead, the company has introduced the Codex Micro, a compact keypad built for developers using its Codex AI coding platform. The accessory has been created in partnership with keyboard maker Work Louder and is now available for pre-order.

OpenAI’s first hardware focuses on Codex users

The Codex Micro is a programmable macro keypad designed to make interacting with Codex agents quicker and more convenient. It features 13 mechanical keys, including six illuminated Agent Keys that display the status of active AI agents using different colors. Users can also assign Command Keys for actions such as accepting or rejecting code suggestions, starting new chats, voice input, or switching between tasks. The keypad includes a rotary dial to adjust Codex’s reasoning effort and a joystick that can be mapped to frequently used workflows like debugging or code refactoring.

The device ships with 32 interchangeable keycaps, giving users the flexibility to customize shortcuts based on their workflow. It supports both Bluetooth and USB-C connectivity and works with Windows and macOS systems. OpenAI says the keypad is designed for users who spend significant time working with Codex, especially after the company expanded the platform beyond coding into a broader AI productivity tool. The Codex Micro is priced at $230 and is currently being sold in limited quantities through OpenAI and Work Louder.

While the Codex Micro marks OpenAI’s first commercial hardware product, it is separate from the consumer AI device that has been widely rumoured in recent weeks. According to Bloomberg, OpenAI is still working on a portable, screenless AI companion with former Apple design chief Jony Ive’s startup, io Products. That product is expected to arrive later and could offer conversational AI features, smart home controls, media playback and more.

Goodbye Realme UI 8 and OxygenOS 17? Realme and OnePlus are moving to ColorOS 17

Realme has officially confirmed a major software change for its smartphones in India. The company has revealed that upcoming devices will no longer ship with Realme UI, signalling a new direction for its software strategy while also aligning more closely with Oppo’s ecosystem.

Future Realme phones will ship with ColorOS 17

ColorOS 17 (AI-generated image)
ColorOS 17 (AI-generated image)

During a meeting with media (via. GSMArena), Realme India confirmed that its future smartphones will launch with ColorOS 17 instead of Realme UI. The company said the move is intended to simplify software development and make the update process more efficient by sharing resources across the Oppo ecosystem.

Although Realme did not reveal which smartphone will debut with ColorOS 17, the software is expected to appear first on upcoming Oppo devices before making its way to Realme’s next generation of smartphones.

The company also confirmed that eligible existing Realme smartphones will receive the ColorOS 17 update as part of their promised software support. For instance, the Realme GT 8 Pro, which debuted with Realme UI 7 and carries a commitment for four Android OS upgrades, will transition to ColorOS 17 before receiving future software versions.

For most users, the change is unlikely to feel dramatic because Realme UI already shares many design elements, features, and system apps with ColorOS. In fact, Realme originally launched its early smartphones with ColorOS before introducing Realme UI in 2020.

OnePlus is making a similar transition

The announcement follows OnePlus’ recent confirmation that eligible smartphones will also receive an optional upgrade to ColorOS 17 after its official release. Existing OnePlus users will be able to choose whether to switch from OxygenOS to ColorOS, and the company says users who upgrade will have the option to roll back to OxygenOS later.

OnePlus has explained that adopting a shared software platform will help improve update delivery, software quality, and engineering efficiency. The company has also confirmed that existing OnePlus devices will continue receiving scheduled software updates, security patches, warranty coverage, and after-sales support despite ending new product launches in Europe and North America.

OnePlus is making its biggest regional exit yet, and existing users need to know this

OnePlus has announced a major change to its global business strategy that will affect customers in Europe and North America. While the company says support for existing devices will continue, its latest announcement outlines significant changes to future product launches, software plans, and its community platform.

OnePlus to stop launching new products in Europe and North America

OnePlus operational changes
OnePlus confirms operational changes

In posts shared on its official Community forums, OnePlus confirmed that it will no longer introduce new products in Europe, the United States, and Canada as part of a global strategy adjustment. The company described the decision as a difficult one and thanked long-time users for helping build the OnePlus Community over the years. It also clarified that the move does not affect OnePlus India, where business operations will continue as usual. Existing users in Europe and North America will keep receiving scheduled software updates, security patches, warranty coverage, customer support, and repair services according to the original commitments for their devices.

The announcement also details an important software change. After the official release of ColorOS 17, eligible OnePlus smartphones will be offered an optional upgrade to ColorOS instead of remaining exclusively on OxygenOS. According to the company, this step is intended to simplify software development, improve update delivery, and strengthen software quality by sharing engineering resources with OPPO. Users who switch to ColorOS will also have the option to roll back to OxygenOS, although details about supported versions will be announced later.

Alongside the product strategy changes, OnePlus has confirmed that its North American Community website and app will permanently close on August 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET. Members have been advised to manually save their posts, photos, guides, and other contributions before that date because the content will no longer be publicly available after the platform shuts down.

To keep users connected, the company plans to launch a global Discord server for community discussions, although it will not serve as an official customer support channel. The European Community and OnePlus Store will continue operating as normal.

This is the new tech that will power MG’s next wave of EVs and hybrids

JSW MG Motor India has introduced a new vehicle platform that is set to shape its upcoming range of electrified vehicles. Called MG ADAPT, the architecture has been designed to support multiple powertrain technologies instead of being limited to a single type, laying the foundation for future MG models in India.

MG ADAPT brings four powertrain options under one platform

MG Adapt

MG ADAPT, short for Advance Drive Architecture Platform Technology, is India’s first multi New Energy Vehicle (NEV) platform. It has been engineered to support Electric Vehicles (EVs), Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) and Range Extender Electric Vehicles (REEVs) on a common architecture. According to the company, the platform has been developed to shorten product development cycles while improving driving range, charging speeds, efficiency, performance, safety and overall refinement. JSW MG Motor India has also confirmed that one EV and one PHEV based on the ADAPT platform will debut during FY 2026-27.

The new platform combines a dedicated hybrid engine, a dedicated battery system, India’s first 10-in-1 Intelligent Electric Drive Unit and what MG claims is the world’s first Electromagnetic Dedicated Hybrid Transmission. These components are managed by an Intelligent Energy Management System that constantly balances power delivery between the engine, battery and electric motor to improve efficiency and driving performance.

The system automatically switches between four driving modes depending on road and driving conditions. These include Pure Electric Drive for city driving, Series Hybrid Drive where the engine charges the battery while the motor drives the wheels, Parallel Hybrid Drive that combines engine and motor output, and Engine Direct Drive for efficient highway cruising.

With ADAPT, MG is preparing a flexible foundation that can support multiple electrified vehicle types as customer preferences continue to evolve. The platform is expected to play a key role in the company’s future product strategy in India while giving buyers more choices across different new energy technologies.

Nubia teases world’s first AI agent phone

The ZTE sub-brand just started teasing its upcoming flagship, boldly calling it the world’s first AI agent smartphone. It’s set to make its official debut at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026) in Shanghai from July 17 to 20.

In a series of fresh Weibo teasers, Nubia revealed the phone’s complete design. It comes in four different finishes: black, light pink, silver, and blue. The “nubia” logo is positioned right in the middle. The pill-shaped horizontal camera module houses thee lenses in total, and ads a clean, modern vibe.

But the real story here isn’t just the looks. Nubia’s President, Ni Fei, announced that the company has finished filing for a large-scale AI agent model. This phone is supposed to be the first device to fully integrate that advanced AI system, letting users hand off complex tasks with real confidence. It’s also packing ByteDance’s Doubao mobile assistant to deliver what they’re calling a true “agentic” experience.

That means the AI won’t just answer questions or write text for you, it should actually understand natural language and handle multi-step tasks across different apps on its own. We’re talking system-level intelligence that can take real actions on the device, which feels like a big step up from the usual AI features we’ve seen so far.

While we don’t have full specs yet, Nubia is positioning this as a proper flagship headed for mass production, not just some concept device.

WAIC 2026 kicking off in just a few hours, and the hype is building fast. The company might have integrated a genuinely capable AI agent with its flagship this time.

Huawei Expands Its Ecosystem with Pura 90s Series, FreeClip 2 S and MatePad Air

Huawei has expanded its connected device ecosystem with the launch of the HUAWEI Pura 90s Series, HUAWEI FreeClip 2 S, and HUAWEI MatePad Air at its Flagship Product Global Launch Event held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on July 14, 2026. Under the theme “Now is Your Moment: Huawei Unlocks New Possibilities for Every Moment Through All-Scenario Innovation,” the company showcased its latest innovations designed to help users capture meaningful moments, express personal style, boost creativity, and improve productivity through seamless cross-device experiences.

HUAWEI Pura 90s Series: Advanced Imaging and AI

The HUAWEI Pura 90s Series is Huawei’s latest flagship smartphone lineup, built around advanced photography and creative expression. Inspired by the “Rhythm of Colour” design philosophy, the phones feature clean and elegant design lines, a layered color palette, and a premium Dual-Tone Gradient Mid-Frame that gives the devices a distinctive look.

Photography is the biggest highlight of the series. Huawei has equipped the smartphones with a 200MP Ultra Large Sensor Telephoto Camera alongside True-to-Colour Camera 2.0, bringing improvements to long-range photography, macro photography, and image quality in challenging lighting conditions. The system is designed to deliver clear, stable, and consistent imaging performance across a wide range of shooting scenarios.

The Pura 90s Series also introduces AI-powered photography features, including intelligent composition and image optimization. These tools speed up the workflow from capturing an image to editing it, allowing users to produce more expressive and refined photos with less effort.

HUAWEI FreeClip 2 S: Style, Comfort, and Practicality

Huawei also introduced the HUAWEI FreeClip 2 S, an open-ear wireless earbud designed for users seeking comfort, style, and everyday convenience. Following Huawei’s Luminous Aesthetics design philosophy, the earbuds combine metallic finishes with natural color tones and are available in Deepsea Blue and Space Silver.

The new Luminous Charging Case features a refined, rounded design and is crafted through more than 100 precision manufacturing steps. Huawei says the redesigned case offers 20% more usable interior space, making it possible to store not only the earbuds but also small personal accessories.

The earbuds feature an upgraded Airy C-bridge made from skin-friendly liquid silicone for a softer and lighter fit during extended wear. Huawei also applies a metallic finish using a luminous texture-spraying process developed through 22 paint-mixing and spraying processes, giving the earbuds a premium appearance. The FreeClip 2 S delivers clear music playback, improved call quality, and an open-ear listening experience that remains comfortable throughout the day.

HUAWEI MatePad Air: Productivity and Creativity

The HUAWEI MatePad Air is Huawei’s newest lightweight tablet, designed for work, learning, creativity, and entertainment. Measuring just 5.3 mm thick, the tablet combines a slim profile with a lightweight, premium design that is easy to carry throughout the day.

It features an Ultra-clear OLED PaperMatte Display that delivers vibrant colors, excellent clarity, accurate color reproduction, and a comfortable viewing experience for extended use.

Huawei has also focused heavily on productivity. The MatePad Air offers a PC-level productivity experience supported by integrated AI tools that help users streamline workflows, simplify presentation creation, and speed up content creation. According to Huawei, the tablet is designed to transform ideas into finished content while bringing desktop-like productivity to a highly portable device.

Strengthening Huawei’s All-Scenario Ecosystem

Huawei says the HUAWEI Pura 90s Series, HUAWEI FreeClip 2 S, and HUAWEI MatePad Air are designed to work together as part of its expanding all-scenario ecosystem. By connecting smartphones, tablets, and audio devices, the ecosystem delivers smoother cross-device experiences that enhance creativity, communication, productivity, personalized style, and everyday convenience.

Looking ahead, Huawei plans to continue expanding its all-scenario ecosystem to support a wider range of user needs while delivering smarter connected experiences that improve efficiency across modern digital lifestyles.

Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra live image confirms hole-punch selfie upgrade isn’t happening

Samsung fans hoping for big changes in the next flagship tablet series just got a reality check. Fresh leaks about the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra suggest that one of the most requested upgrades, a clean punch-hole selfie camera, isn’t happening this time around.

A newly surfaced live image from in Safety Korea’s certification databases gives us the clearest look yet at the Tab S12 Ultra’s front. It has a huge display with noticeably slimmer bezels compared to the Tab S12+ model, which still helps it feel premium. Unfortunately, the familiar U-shaped notch from previous generations is still there, housing a single front camera.

There was real excitement earlier this year when One UI 9 beta animations showed tablet designs with centered punch-hole cameras. A lot of us thought Samsung might finally give the Tab S12 Ultra a cleaner, more immersive look. The notch has been here since Samsung’s first Ultra branded tablet, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. The certification image suggests they’ve decided to stick with the current design language for at least another year.

The Galaxy Tab S12 series is expected to launch sometime in September 2026, probably around IFA. The Ultra is rumored to keep its massive 14.6-inch OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, and it should be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. Other expected specs include at least 12GB of RAM (possibly more in higher configs), storage options up to 1TB with microSD support, a 11,600mAh battery, and 45W charging. It will ship with Android 17-based One UI 9 out of the box, bringing improved AI features.

Overall, the Tab S12 Ultra looks like a refined evolution rather than a major redesign. It probably won’t blow owners of the current model away with its looks, but the combination of top-tier specs and Samsung’s tablet software could still make it a solid choice for power users.

REDMI 17 4G renders reveal refreshed design, light ring, color options

Xiaomi looks like it’s gearing up to refresh its budget smartphone lineup, and a new leak shared by YtechB just gave us one of the best looks yet at the upcoming REDMI 17 4G.

The camera island looks refreshed. It’s noticeably wider than on the REDMI 15 4G and now features a light ring instead of one of the camera cutouts. Don’t worry though, this isn’t a downgrade. The predecessor only had two rear cameras (a main sensor + auxiliary lens) to begin with.

The phone itself comes in some nice colors: Deep Blue, Black, Oak Green, and possibly Lotus Purple. In terms of size, it measures 170.12 x 78.42 x 8.8 mm and weighs around 232 grams.

On the front, we’re looking at a 6.9-inch LCD with HD+ resolution (1600 x 720) and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it’s expected to run on MediaTek’s Helio G91 Ultra processor, paired with HyperOS 3.0 based on Android 16.

For comparison, the REDMI 15 4G is powered by the Snapdragon 685. Take a look at the test results below for an idea of the performance and power efficiency differences. The Helio G91 and G91 Ultra are functionally the same processor, with only minor tweaks such as upgraded ISP support for higher-resolution cameras.

Memory and storage options look typical for the segment: 4GB or 6GB of RAM with 128GB or 256GB of storage. Around the back there’s a 50MP main camera plus an auxiliary sensor, while the front gets an 8MP selfie camera.

But the real standout here is the battery. The REDMI 17 4G is rumored to pack a massive 7,500mAh cell, along with 45W fast charging. This is an upgrade over the 7000mAh battery and 33W charging of the predecessor. The large battery could position the successor as a serious contender for anyone who hates reaching for the charger during the day.

Pricing-wise, leaks point to a starting price of around €250 for the 4GB + 128GB version, with the 256GB model expected to land near €280. That said pricing will likely vary by region and market conditions.
