One of them will be from Realme. This handset will be debuting in multiple regions at the same time. Whereas, the other one will be from Lava, which will be launching exclusively in India.

It is worth noting that there could be other silent releases, especially in China. Because Single’s Day sale is arriving next week, which is considered one of the biggest shopping seasons.

With that out of the way, let’s take a look at the devices that are confirmed to go official in the coming days.

Upcoming Smartphones Next Week

1. Lava Blaze 5G

Lava Blaze 5G

The Lava Blaze 5G was showcased at the Indian Mobile Congress 2022 in early October. At the conference, the brand disclosed the key specs of the handset, except for its pricing and availability.

iOS 16.2 with 5G support to roll out in India next week

Last month, Apple announced that it will roll out a 5G support update for iPhones in India by December. However, the exact date for the final launch of 5G services remains unclear. As per a report by The Indian Express, the Cupertino-based company will roll out a beta build of iOS 16.2 with support for 5G connectivity in India next week. The development comes after the government pushed OEMs to release 5G software updates for devices. The latest generation cellular network was launched last month.

iOS 16.1 was rolled out recently. Now, Apple is already working on iOS 16.2 and the beta version is expected to release as early as next week. The Cupertino-based tech giant will reportedly begin testing support for the 5G network on Indian iPhone models with the upcoming update. This is ahead of the eventual full-fledged launch of 5G support in December. The upcoming beta build will bring 5G support to the iPhone 14, 13, 12 series and iPhone SE 2022.

The report by The Indian Express adds that iPhone users on Airtel and Jio networks will be eligible to participate in the Beta Software Program beginning next week. Those who wish to test out 5G services on their iPhones before the final launch may consider updating to the iOS 16.2 Beta by signing up on Apple’s Beta Software Program website. It will also let users access the pre-release of iOS 16.2 software and experience the latest features.

It’s worth noting that Beta builds are not usually reliable as stable versions. Users may face issues in terms of performance and bugs on their devices. Hence it’s not recommended to install iOS 16.2 Beta on your iPhone, especially if it is your primary device.

Apple’s value now surpasses Alphabet, Amazon, & Meta combined

Apple is apparently worth a lot more than one would image. The company alone has a value that surpasses three of its rival combined, which includes the likes of Alphabet, Amazon, and even Meta. So here are all the details.

Over the last couple of months, tech giants in the US have been reporting weak earnings, with most of them taking big hits. Examples of this includes Meta, which owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The company saw the largest loss, with its evaluation following by a significant 20 percent or a whopping 90 billion US Dollars. However, this negative trend wasn’t universal as the Cupertino based giant managed to see a rise of 6 percent. Apple shared its earning last week, and according to a BusinessInsider report, this shows that it worth more than the sum of three of its competitors.

Apple

The report stated that the iPhone maker is now worth 2.307 trillion US Dollars. Meanwhile, Alphabet (Google’s parent company) is worth 1.126 trillion US Dollars. Similarly, Amazon is evaluated at 940 billion US Dollars and Meta is worth 240 billion US Dollars. This basically shows the level of disparity among the world’s top tech giants. Furthermore, it is worth noting that Apple managed to avoid the trend of decline, which the other companies faced.

Based on the report, the company managed to see growth during this time thanks to the launch of its latest iPhone 14 lineup. It also saw a strong performance in this quarter, which was complimented by its products that targeted various categories and even services. So, the iPhone isn’t the only product that helped the brand, with its Mac lineup of laptops and desktop PCs also helping the brand see a rise during this period.

Samsung ad mocks Apple for not having a foldable iPhone

Samsung had just released a new advertisement earlier this week, which seemingly mocks Apple for not having a foldable iPhone under its belt. The new ad was titled “On the Fence” and takes a jab at Apple in what appears to be a retail store.

Samsung

Looking at the ad, we can see a man sitting on a fencing that overlooks this Apple Store. A fake Apple employee then walks up to him and says “Hey, what are you doing up there? You can’t sit on the fence.” The man on the fence responds by saying “But on the Samsung side, they have folding phones and epic cameras.” Following this, what appears to be another Apple customer gets interested in the foldable smartphones, while the employee tries to convince the man to leave.

The employee also states that “We’re waiting for all that to come over here,” but the customer asks “Why? It’s already over there.” This prompts the fake Apple employee to finally say that “Because that’s what we do. We wait.” This isn’t the first time that the South Korean tech giant has mocked the Cupertino based brand. It has taken jabs at the iPhone maker following any new release or any new features that it introduces, which Samsung already offers. But recently, these insults have been picking up, with the latest ones focusing on Apple not launching a foldable device yet.

Back in September 2022, Samsung launched the new Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable phones with its first to foldables campaign mocking the iPhone’s lack of innovation. At the moment, it is still unclear if Apple has any plans to launch a foldable smartphone anytime soon. But there have been various rumors and patents that we have covered in the past. So stick around for more updates.

AMD has just announced the new high end Radeon RX 7000 series of graphics cards. The company unveiled the RX 7900 XTX and the RX 7900 XT, which arrives after Nvidia’s launch of its GeForce RTX 4000 series GPUs.

Team Red made the announcement for the new graphics cards during the AMD’s Together We Advance_Gaming event on Thursday in Las Vegas. During this event, only two GPU models were unveiled from the latest lineup, which is the RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT. In other words, there is still no word for the more affordable RX 7800 series models as of yet. The two models announced are high end GPUs that are set to rival the Nvidia RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 graphics cards, which are Team Green’s top models at the moment.

AMD

Talking about the top end model first, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX will arrive with 24GB of GDDR6 VRAM, while the RX 7900 XT will feature 20GB of GDDR6 VRAM. Furthermore, the two new GPUs will also support the latest DisplayPort 2.1 standard, which is an improvement over Nvidia’s latest cards that only support DisplayPort 1.4. The RX 7900 XTX will offer a clock speed of 2.3GHz with a 384 bit GDDR6 memory. It will also house 96 compute units, second gen ray accelerators, and even AI accelerators. On the other hand, the RX 7900 XT offers 2GHz clock speed, with 320 bit GDDR6 memory and 84 compute units.

The new RX 7000 series of graphics cards starts from 899 US Dollars for the RX 7900 XT model, meanwhile, the RX 7900 XTX will have a price tag of 999 US Dollars. At this price range, the new AMD cards are much more affordable than the two new flagship NVIDIA GPUs, which should give the latter a decent challenge in the PC market.

Microsoft is currently working on a new feature that will let users transfer files between different devices. A Windows 11 laptop, an Android phone, or even a Macbook might serve as the secondary device.

The team at WindowsLatest was the first to notice the functionality, which is presently undergoing testing. On their Windows 11 computers, users will be able to utilize services like Apple Music, WhatsApp, Messenger, and more thanks to the new feature.

The new feature will be called Drop and will be limited to Microsoft’s Edge browser. Users must activate the “Drop” toggle by clicking the + icon in the sidebar in order to access this feature. You could access the functionality through the sidebar after it has been enabled.

Simply send a file to the chatbox to make it available for download on additional Edge-enabled devices that are logged into the same account. Users can transfer Windows files like.exe,.msu, APKs, images, notes, and more via their laptop by using the Drop feature. In addition to sharing, the Drop feature lets users take a screenshot on one device and transfer it to another.
