Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 3 finally receives Multipoint connectivity

Sennheiser had launched the new MOMENTUM True Wireless 3 earbuds earlier this year in the Indian market. Now, the company is finally bringing a highly anticipated feature to these TWS model, which is the the support for multipoint connectivity.

The company announced earlier this week that it would be rolling out a new firmware update in the region that brings support for multipoint device connectivity and a high resolution sound mode. The latter allows for a convenient way to improve quality with just a tap. As per Kapil Gulati, Director of Consumer Segment, Sennheiser, “Our latest update reflects the dynamic ways people want to use MOMENTUM True Wireless 3, including our most-requested feature – multipoint. For example, one can switch from their favorite music streaming app to join an incoming conference call from their laptop – and back again – without having to reconnect manually.”

Sennheiser

In simpler terms, this update basically lets you experience the MOMENTUM True Wireless 3’s sound immersion on multiple devices, which you can seamlessly switch between with a single tap. So, one can simply switch between two paired devices for dynamic management of active connections. Apart from this, the company is also bringing a new high resolution sound mode that features 24 bit depth and 96 kHz sample rate capability in the new update.

So when MOMENTUM True Wireless 3 users have the aptX Adaptive codec, the headphones will bump up the Bluetooth bitrate up to 420 kilobits per second for optimum sound. The new multipoint and high resolution mode are available after users update the MOMENTUM True Wireless 3 to the latest firmware (Release 2.10.19 or higher) and updating the Smart Control App (App Store, Google Play; release 4.1.5 or higher).

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 is available worldwide via retailers like Amazon.

Samsung ad mocks Apple for not having a foldable iPhone

Samsung had just released a new advertisement earlier this week, which seemingly mocks Apple for not having a foldable iPhone under its belt. The new ad was titled “On the Fence” and takes a jab at Apple in what appears to be a retail store.

Samsung

Looking at the ad, we can see a man sitting on a fencing that overlooks this Apple Store. A fake Apple employee then walks up to him and says “Hey, what are you doing up there? You can’t sit on the fence.” The man on the fence responds by saying “But on the Samsung side, they have folding phones and epic cameras.” Following this, what appears to be another Apple customer gets interested in the foldable smartphones, while the employee tries to convince the man to leave.

The employee also states that “We’re waiting for all that to come over here,” but the customer asks “Why? It’s already over there.” This prompts the fake Apple employee to finally say that “Because that’s what we do. We wait.” This isn’t the first time that the South Korean tech giant has mocked the Cupertino based brand. It has taken jabs at the iPhone maker following any new release or any new features that it introduces, which Samsung already offers. But recently, these insults have been picking up, with the latest ones focusing on Apple not launching a foldable device yet.

Back in September 2022, Samsung launched the new Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable phones with its first to foldables campaign mocking the iPhone’s lack of innovation. At the moment, it is still unclear if Apple has any plans to launch a foldable smartphone anytime soon. But there have been various rumors and patents that we have covered in the past. So stick around for more updates.

AMD unveils Radeon RX 7900 XTX & 7900 XT GPUs to rival Nvidia’s RTX 4000 series

AMD has just announced the new high end Radeon RX 7000 series of graphics cards. The company unveiled the RX 7900 XTX and the RX 7900 XT, which arrives after Nvidia’s launch of its GeForce RTX 4000 series GPUs.

Team Red made the announcement for the new graphics cards during the AMD’s Together We Advance_Gaming event on Thursday in Las Vegas. During this event, only two GPU models were unveiled from the latest lineup, which is the RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT. In other words, there is still no word for the more affordable RX 7800 series models as of yet. The two models announced are high end GPUs that are set to rival the Nvidia RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 graphics cards, which are Team Green’s top models at the moment.

AMD

Talking about the top end model first, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX will arrive with 24GB of GDDR6 VRAM, while the RX 7900 XT will feature 20GB of GDDR6 VRAM. Furthermore, the two new GPUs will also support the latest DisplayPort 2.1 standard, which is an improvement over Nvidia’s latest cards that only support DisplayPort 1.4. The RX 7900 XTX will offer a clock speed of 2.3GHz with a 384 bit GDDR6 memory. It will also house 96 compute units, second gen ray accelerators, and even AI accelerators. On the other hand, the RX 7900 XT offers 2GHz clock speed, with 320 bit GDDR6 memory and 84 compute units.

The new AMD graphics cards are set to go on sale starting from 13th December 2022. The new RX 7000 series of graphics cards starts from 899 US Dollars for the RX 7900 XT model, meanwhile, the RX 7900 XTX will have a price tag of 999 US Dollars. At this price range, the new AMD cards are much more affordable than the two new flagship NVIDIA GPUs, which should give the latter a decent challenge in the PC market.

Microsoft Edge ‘Drop’ feature will allow seamless file sharing between Windows 11, Android & Mac

With the Phone Link app, you can link your phone to Windows 11 and receive files and notifications on your laptop directly. Microsoft is currently working on a new feature that will let users transfer files between different devices. A Windows 11 laptop, an Android phone, or even a Macbook might serve as the secondary device.

The team at WindowsLatest was the first to notice the functionality, which is presently undergoing testing. On their Windows 11 computers, users will be able to utilize services like Apple Music, WhatsApp, Messenger, and more thanks to the new feature.

The new feature will be called Drop and will be limited to Microsoft’s Edge browser. Users must activate the “Drop” toggle by clicking the + icon in the sidebar in order to access this feature. You could access the functionality through the sidebar after it has been enabled.

Simply send a file to the chatbox to make it available for download on additional Edge-enabled devices that are logged into the same account. Users can transfer Windows files like.exe,.msu, APKs, images, notes, and more via their laptop by using the Drop feature. In addition to sharing, the Drop feature lets users take a screenshot on one device and transfer it to another.

OneDrive is actually what powers Edge’s Drop. Any content that a user sends via Drop is uploaded to OneDrive, and storage space is also added to their account. You can see how much space these files are taking up if you open your OneDrive storage.

Microsoft may have plans to promote OneDrive within Edge and push its cloud storage service to more consumers.
