Apple iPhone 14 Pro suffers from shaking camera issue in 3rd party apps

Apple had just recently unveiled its highly anticipated the iPhone 14 series. But it seems that the launch didn’t go as smooth as planned with the new iPhone models suffering from some bugs with basic system apps like FaceTime and iMessages. Now, a new report has revealed that the camera on the higher end Pro models is also facing a bug as well.

Apple
iPhone 14 Pro & iPhone 14 Pro Max

According to an AppleInsider report, various users across the globe have been facing issues with their new iPhone 14 Pro series cameras. For those unaware, the iPhone 14 Pro series features a 48 megapixel primary camera on the rear that features an Action Mode for smoother video capture. But, it seems like some third party applications are facing an issue when using this new camera sensor.

As of right now, various owners of the 2022 iPhones have found that the camera module is shaking when they use popular social media apps like Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat. The camera issue makes the videos appear very unstable with a lot of shaking. This, in turn, renders these captured videos on social media unusable. Furthermore, complaints of this issue has also reached Reddit, with posts being shared regarding the same bug.

At the moment, it is believed that the shaking of the OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) system is the primary reason for this issue. Notably, the issue does not affect the base iPhone 14 model since it uses an older OIS system as compared to Apple’s second generation Sensor Shift OIS technology for its new 48 megapixel primary camera.

The launch of this upcoming product from the company marks the first VR product from the brand after it was acquired by ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, earlier this year to expand its business.

PICO 4 Launch Event Teaser

Apple iPhone 15 series regular models to reportedly get Dynamic Island feature

Apple recently launched the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro lineup of next-generation smartphones from the brand. The highlight of the smartphone is the new Dynamic Island, the replaces the notch on top of the screen in the Pro models.

For this generation of phones, the Dynamic Island feature is limited to the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. Now, it is being claimed that all the models of iPhone next year will come with the Dynamic Island feature.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Pro

Ross Young says that he expects the Dynamic Island feature to be available on the standard iPhone 14 models next year. He adds that he is still not expecting the regular models to have an LTPO display.

If the report is to be believed, then the standard Apple iPhone 15 will have support for the Dynamic Island feature, but there won’t be support for the ProMotion display and an always-on display option, which will be limited to the Pro models.

Dynamic Island is a pill-shaped cutout area surrounding the Face ID sensors and front camera on the iPhone 14 Pro models. It is an interactive area that can display system alerts like incoming phone calls, and it will also work with Live Activities in third-party apps when iOS 16.1 gets released.

The new feature is tempting enough for the owners of the previous generation iPhones to consider buying the new models, which otherwise isn’t worth upgrading if the phone isn’t too old. If there are not many who plan to upgrade, then it affects Apple’s bottom line.

The new leak states that the Vivo X90 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is not a surprise since several upcoming flagship phones are expected to feature the said SoC. As far as the SD8G2 is concerned, it is speculated to launch through Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Tech Summit, which will be held in November.

The Vivo X90 Pro leak further states that it will arrive with support for 100W fast charging. It is said to house a larger battery. The X80 Pro is packed with a 4,700mAh battery. It is likely that the X90 Pro may house a battery of around 5,000mAh capacity.

So, it’s possible that the Vivo X90 line could come out as early as the first quarter of 2023.

Infinix Zero 5G 2023 edition certified by FCC, here’s what has been revealed

In the early months of this year, Infinix unveiled the Infinix Zero 5G smartphone. It debuted as Infinix’s first smartphone with 5G support. Now, it appears that the Hong Kong-based brand is gearing up to launch its 2023 edition. The reason behind it is that it has been certified by the Bluetooth SIG and the FCC authorities.

Earlier this month, an Infinix smartphone with model number X6815C was seen in the database of the Bluetooth SIG. The listing revealed that the device will be called the Infinix Zero 5G 2023 when it arrives on the market.

Pricebaba’s report reveals that the Infinix Zero 5G 2023 has recently bagged the FCC certification, which indicates that it may go official soon. The listing reveals that the device measures 169 x 77 x 9mm and the above image, which has appeared on the FCC, gives a look at its rear design. It seems that the device will be equipped with a triple camera setup. Like other Infinix phones, it is likely to feature a quad-LED flash unit.

Next, the FCC document reveals that the Zero 5G 2023 has a 4,900mAh (rated value) battery that supports 33W rapid charging. The listing further reveals that the device offers connectivity features, such as 5G (n2, n5, n7, n38, n41, n66, n71, n77, and n78 bands), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC.

Information like chipset, display, and camera configurations hasn’t appeared in Zero 5G 2023’s FCC listing. While there is no evidence yet, it looks like it will be an incremental upgrade over its predecessor. Hence, it may borrow some specs from the original Zero 5G. Hopefully, the rumor mill will spill more information about the Zero 5G 2023 in the coming days.
