Redmi is scheduled to announce its highly anticipated Redmi K50 series this Thursday, March 17 in China. Earlier this week, the company had revealed the stunning design of one of its Redmi K50 series devices with a redesigned camera island and in a matte black design, which the company calls “Feather Black”.
Redmi K50 series in Feather Black
However, smartphones normally don’t come with only one colour option, and there are more colour options to be announced at the launch event. However, new information leaked online seems to indicate that the Redmi K50 will be coming in 4 colours in total: Black, Blue, Gold and White.
The news comes from tech enthusiast, Mayank Kumar on Twitter, which had revealed the 3 upcoming colour options via a Tweet.
Redmi K50 series in Gold
The Redmi K50 series in Gold is a refreshing look in the Android space as very few 2022 Android flagships are sporting a rich gold colourway. The only other device that comes to mind is the Golden Huawei P50 Series which was launched last year.
Redmi K50 series in Blue
The Redmi K50 series in Blue looks similar to the Matte Light Blue of its more expensive cousin, the Xiaomi 12.
Redmi K50 series in White
The Redmi K50 series in White shares a resemblance with last year’s Redmi K40/Poco F3/Mi 11X series with the Arctic White matte finish.
However, do take the leaks of the other 3 colours with a grain of salt as these leaked renders share an uncanny likeness to the official reveal of the Feather Black colourway of the Redmi K50 by Redmi themselves.
Looks are not the only deciding factor when buying a smartphone, and Redmi knows that dearly as the company is speccing out the Redmi K50 with industry-leading performance with its MediaTek Dimensity 8100 and 9000 processors under the hood.
Official Antutu Benchmarks have already shown that one of the unannounced Redmi K50 series devices equipped with the Dimensity 9000 has officially crossed the 1 million score threshold, beating out the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200.
Redmi also hinted that the Redmi K50 will feature a competitive camera setup to even rival flagships higher than its price range. The Redmi K50 series launch is happening this Thursday and for more coverage on the event, stay tuned to Gizmochina.
As we inch closer to Redmi’s Flagship launch event this Thursday, the company for the past week has been promoting the Redmi K50 series on Weibo with its highlighting designs, features on Weibo.
Redmi K50 in Feather Black
The latest teaser of the Redmi K50 comes from Redmi CEO himself, Lu Weibing on Weibo. It includes 2 things that consumers find vital in a smartphone of our always-connected modern era: connectivity and sound experience.
Let’s start with connectivity, Lu mentions that the Redmi K50 lineup features the newer and better WiFi 6 160MHz, which is said to provide doubled Internet speed compared to WiFi 5. Another improvement on the connectivity front is that the Redmi K50 will now support parallel operations of WiFi and Bluetooth. Lu mentions in the post that this new feature is useful for gamers as you can now game with Bluetooth headsets on without worrying about Internet delay via WiFi, as parallel operations allow for reduced interference.

The next highlight of the Redmi K50 series is the improved audio features via its support for Dolby Atmos. The Redmi K50 lineup will not only feature Dolby Atmos Stereo Speakers for a more enjoying room-wide sound experience but also features Hi-Res Audio via USB-C and Hi-Res Wireless to provide a richer audio experience for those who prefer to immerse themselves in the experience with wired or wireless headphones on.

It is powered by a 1.1kW Hub motor capable of delivering a peak output of 1.5kW. The Segway E110A is thus well-suited for daily city commutes, although the battery can charge fully for up to six hours.

The LED lights system in the E110A provides high visibility for the model, in addition to its digital dashboard, the kickstand infused into the frame, and an overall aesthetics appeal for the e-scooter. The Segway-Ninebot app provides another layer of support for the e-bike, enabling riders to track the location of the e-scooter when not in use.
The E110A has tubeless tires, front and rear disc brakes, and an IPX5 rating for water resistance. There are a few security features in the Segway E110A electric scooter including remote key operations, Password Unlock capabilities and battery safety.

Fiido is set to unveil the Beast electric scooter which can operate as either a standing bike or as a go-kart with lots of power on offer for a bike of that size. The Fiido Beast is blazing the trail in the dual-purpose functionality of the e-scooter. The power credentials of the Fiido Beast are assured with its dual electric motors, dual suspension, and a powerful battery pack.
With the Fiido Beast e-scooter, it can operate as a standing e-scooter or you can sit down and ride the bike like a two-wheeled go-kart. This combination is new in the e-scooter segment, but the innovation going on within the industry meant that it was only a matter of time before we could have seen such a crazy combination.
The Beast is an indication of the micro-mobility company Fiido navigating uncharted territory. It is an overtly powerful e-scooter that can deliver top speeds of 50km/h, thanks to its 1.3kW combined power output from its motors. The Fiido Beast has a 1.5kWh battery that offers the e-scooter a range of up to 70km. The battery is removable, thus providing more possibilities for charging the battery and also scaling up the range of the Beast with an extra battery. A keyless security system is available to release the battery and prevent unauthorized tampering.
The Fiido Beast has a mechanism for transforming the standing scooter to a go-kart via the adjustable front swingarm suspension and the little seat at the back. The 11-inch tires are suited for challenging terrains and control is in the form of the dual-wheel disc brakes which are quite efficient. The Fiido Beast weighs just 37kg and its pricing details are not known yet at this time. Fiido is undertaking an Indiegogo campaign for the Beast and there is a 40% discount that early customers may enjoy for the e-scooter.

This year, for the first time, Realme released a top-tier flagship. We are talking about the Realme GT 2 Pro which hitten the global shelves in the last few days with amazing specifications. Despite being a premium flagship, its price is still not at the same level as the top-tier flagships from the other mainstream brands. Its price range (almost) matches the one of the OPPO Find X5, the vanilla version of the new Find X5 Series including the Find X5 Pro, and the Lite variant as well (in the global market). So is it better to go for the most advanced Relame device or for the affordable flagship of the OPPO advanced lineup? We hope to answer this question through a comparison between their specifications.

Design
Realme GT 2 Pro has a green and sustainable design. Its body has been built with a special bio-polymer which resembles the touch & feel of the paper allowing for lower carbon emissions. And it looks very innovative thanks to that. On the other hand, the OPPO Find X5 has a futuristic look as well, thanks to its glass + aluminum body full of curves. It has not the same ceramic body as the Find X5 Pro, but it remains a very original and interesting phone if we talk about aesthetics. Which one would you pick?
Display
The Realme GT 2 Pro has a superior display if compared to the OPPO Find X5. Its panel has the same specifications as the display found on the Find X5 Pro and the OnePlus 10 Pro. It is an AMOLED panel with a 6.7-inch diagonal, a Quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels, one billion colors, an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, a peak brightness up to 1400 nits, and the HDR10+ certification. The OPPO Find X5 has similar specifications but it comes with a lower Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and without the LTPO technology. Both the handsets come with stereo speakers and in-display fingerprint scanners.
Specs & Software
The Realme GT 2 Pro wins even when it comes to the hardware department. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that is actually the best Qualcomm chipset to date, paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of native storage (up to 256 GB in the European market). The OPPO Find X5 is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship mobile platform from 2021: the weaker Snapdragon 888. The highest-end memory configuration is the same, but the CPU and GPU performances are lower. There are not many differences between the two user interfaces installed: the Realme UI 3.0 actually comes with the ColorOS codebase just like the OxygenOS, so there are just a few different customizations, but the core is the same.
Camera
The OPPO Find X5 is a more interesting phone if we consider the camera departments. Both the handsets come with a pair of 50 MP rear cameras: a Sony IMX766 main sensor with OIS and a Sony IMX766 ultrawide camera. But the third sensor is different: the Find X5 has a better 13 MP telephoto lens, while the Realme GT 2 Pro replaces it with a 3 MP microscope camera with 40x magnification for macro shots. Further, the OPPO Find X5 adds the amazing MariSilicon X NPU improving the image quality, especially in low light conditions.
The Realme GT 2 Pro is equipped with a bigger 5000 mAh battery, so its battery life should be longer. On the other hand, the OPPO Find X5 supports faster 80W charging and, unlike the GT 2 Pro, it even comes with wireless charging (50W).
Price
The OPPO Find X5 retails for €999/$1090 in Europe, while you can find the Realme GT 2 Pro for €749/$817. Which one should you go for? It depends on your needs: the OPPO Find X5 comes with better cameras, faster charging, and wireless charging, while the Realme GT 2 Pro has a better display, a superior chipset, and a bigger battery. Now, you can make your choice.
As the Russian Ruble continues to decline in currency exchange markets, and as more piling-upped sanctions are imposed on Russia, more companies and corporations are pulling out of Russia not only because they do not support Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, but also because they need to comply with the local and international sanctions in tangent with the heavy devaluation of the Russian Ruble which leads to lesser profits for the multinational corporations.
In late February, Google had earlier announced that it will be cutting down on advertisements and media from the Russian Federation as a response to the country’s invasion of Ukraine. However, this week, the company has taken further action on the ongoing situation as the company has paused the Google Play Store’s billing system for Android users in Russia.
In the official statement from Google, the company states that due to payment system disruptions, Google Play has paused its billing system for users in Russia as of March 10, 2022. Google clarified that this means users cannot purchase apps and games, make subscription payments or conduct any in-app purchases of digital goods via the Google Play Store in Russia. Free apps will remain available on the Play Store to download and install.
As for existing user subscriptions via the Google Play Store, Google informs that subscriptions will unfortunately not be able to be renewed and will be cancelled. However, the existing subscription(ie the 1-month or 1-year subscription that the Russian Android user had purchased prior to this announcement) will continue until the end of the then-current billing period. The company also clarifies that it will still honour existing developer subscription billing grace periods and any free trials will continue to work until payments are attempted.
On a closing note, Google also states that the situation is rapidly evolving and that the company encourages users to follow Google for Google’s latest update on the matter if there are changes of action.

The TV also provides a super crisp response time of 2.7ms.
The TV Ace 2023 comes equipped with Hisense U+ super image quality engine 2.0, and multiple AI-based features like AI-SR, AI color balance, AI+MEMC, AI fine light control, Darkfield detail enhancement, and 3D_LUT original color correction. Despite coming packed with so many high-end features, the Game TV Ace 2023 is priced pretty reasonably at 4,999 ($789) yuan in the Chinese market. For now, there is no word from Hisense if they will debut the Game TV Ace 2023 outside the domestic market.
On Apple’s March 8 “Peek Performance” Event, Apple has officially unveiled the next generation of its iPad Air lineup with its headlining Apple Silicon, the M1 Chip, 5G connectivity and a wide variety of pastel colour options to choose from.
iPad Air 5 2022 highlights
As pre-orders go live, keen-eyed buyers have noticed that the latest iPad Air 5th Generation (2022) features a design change that Apple has been proud of since the launch of its first iPad back in 2010. Instead of the “iPad” wording engraved under the iconic Apple logo like the older iPad Air 4(2020) and its predecessors, the latest iPad Air 5 (2022) now has the “iPad Air” wording engraved under the Apple logo.
“iPad Air” wording on iPad Air 5 (2022)“iPad” Wording on iPad Air 4 (2020)
This design change seems rather confusing as the latest M1-powered 5th Generation iPad Pros of 2021 didn’t get the unique treatment as they still have the original “iPad” branding engraved under the Apple logo, and they didn’t switch over to an “iPad Pro” branding instead. The same goes for the iPad 9th Generation (2021) and iPad Mini 6th Generation (2021) which were also launched in September last year.
iPad Mini 6th Generation (2021)
Although the change of design seems to be confusing at first, iPad Air 5 buyers were rather unbothered by the design change, as this minimal change didn’t interfere with the tablet’s other functions such as connectivity, battery life or screen quality.
The Realme GT Neo3 is expected to debut this month. So far, we have learned plenty of its details and have also seen its design through renders. Now, the GT Neo3 has appeared in hands-on images on Weibo.
The hands-on images show the back profile of the smartphone. The smartphone’s design is in-line with what we saw in the leaked renders. The device comes with a plan back and has the camera module at the top left. The camera island holds three camera lenses, with the primary lens at the top and two other sensors below it. The LED flash is sandwiched between the sensors.
Apart from this, the GT Neo3’s specs were leaked previously. The Realme GT Neo3 will come with the new Dimensity 8100 SoC paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The tipster says that the Oppo PGKM10 or the OnePlus Dimensity 8100 device, which despite having a 160W max charging speed, will support 150W charging technology. The smartphone is further reported to have a 4,500mAh battery that is said to go from 0% to 100% in 15 minutes.
Furthermore, the smartphone is said to go official next month. If we go by this, then we might see this device’s teasers in the coming days. Soon later, the company could officially announce the release date of the smartphone.

In related news, we are expected to see the first Dimensity 8100-powered phone from Realme this month. The smartphone will be the successor to the GT Neo2 and will be called the Realme GT Neo3. Just like the OnePlus phone, the Neo3 will also support a 150W UltraDart fast charging support. 120Hz screen, in-display fingerprint scanner, and 12GB/256GB storage are some of its rumored specs.

The global wearables market has consistently seen massive growth right after the start of the COVID 19 pandemic. This growth has continued in 2021, going by a recent report by the International Data Corporation (IDC). The report shows that the global wearables market recorded a total shipping estimate of 533.6 million units in 2021 as a whole. This represents a massive 20% YoY growth.
The wearables market recorded an impressive 10.8% YoY growth in Q4 2021 alone with an estimated total shipment of 171 million units. Overall, Apple led the market with successes recorded in both the hearables and smartwatch segment. The US company’s market share in Q4 2021 was a huge 34.9%.Apple shipped an estimated 161.8 million units of wearables which includes hearables and smartwatches.
Xiaomi emerged in the second position but with a wide margin from Apple. The Chinese tech giant recorded a 7.1% YoY growth in 2021 with the smartwatch segment driving its sales. It shipped an estimated 54.4 million units in 2021 which isn’t up to half of what APple shipped during the period.
Samsung is the third-largest wearables vendor in 2021, thanks to the Galaxy Watch 4 series. The Korean tech giant saw a 20.1% YoY growth last year with an estimated 48.1 million units in shipments.
Embattled Chinese company Huawei surprisingly continued to maintain its mark in the worldwide wearables market. Huawei’s shipments weren’t only in China but also in European markets where it continues to enjoy huge patronage.
The biggest improvement was recorded by the Indian company Imagine Marketing, which owns the BoAt brand. The brand came in 5th place in the global market propelled by its exploit in the Indian market. This indeed underscores the rapid growth of the Indian wearable market. boAt recorded an estimated shipment of 28.6 million units as against 10 million units shipped last year. This represents a staggering 163.4% YoY growth. In Q4 2021, the company’s shipments grew 69.6% YoY.
Although Samsung’s Galaxy S series has the most marketing promo throughout the year, Samsung’s true bestsellers of the year have always been its budget and mid-range Galaxy A series. Leaks, rumours and electronics safety certifications of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A33, A53 and A73 devices have been spotted in the wild for the past few weeks, hinting at an imminent launch, and today one leak finally revealed when we will finally see the 2022 Samsung Galaxy A series come to market.
The leak comes from the industry-famous leakster, evleaks on Twitter, sharing a promo poster for upcoming Samsung’s Galaxy A event. It seems that Samsung is planning to debut its latest 2022 Samsung Galaxy A series smartphone lineup on March 17, 2022, which is next Thursday, via Samsung.com. For context, last year’s Samsung Galaxy A52 and A72 were also launched globally on March 17 as well.

The poster does not mention or address any highlights of the 2022 Samsung Galaxy A series directly, but instead through the subtle means of graphic design. From the clipart teasers on the poster, we can deduce that several highlights of the Samsung Galaxy A series include an improved screen and camera from its predecessor, improved low-light photography capabilities and water resistance for the 2022 Galaxy A lineup.
As the highlight of the event this year would be the Samsung Galaxy A33, A53 and A73, Samsung actually decided to quietly launch the entry-level Samsung A series devices, the Samsung Galaxy A13 and A23 last week. Despite being entry-level smartphones, these 2 devices actually have a lot to offer for buyers who aren’t willing to break the bank.
Samsung Galaxy A23
Both the Samsung Galaxy A13 and A23 feature enhanced durability with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the front display(the same one used on the Galaxy Note 9), a long-lasting 5000mAh battery, faster 25W charging support(same as the standard flagship Galaxy S22) compared to last year’s 15W found on the Galaxy A12 and A22, and upgraded cameras. If Samsung’s entry-level devices this year already have this much to offer, it would be interesting to see what the company has to offer in its 2022 mid-range offerings.
Samsung had remained silent about newer iterations of its Quantum Dot OLED TVs at CES 2022, despite rival Sony launching several of them. But that looks to be changing now with the emergence of a new listing at an online retail site.
American online retailer Value Electronics has now listed the Samsung QS95B QD-OLED, even as Samsung is yet to provide any official details about the product.
According to the listing, the Samsung QS95B QD-OLED TV will be available in two sizes – 55 inches and 65 inches. Both models appear to support DCI-P3, BT.2020 profiles for richer HDR viewing, and run Samsung’s own Tizen operating system with support for voice control.
Aside from this, the QS95B also offers four HDMI 2.1 ports along with advanced features like a 120Hz refresh rate and VRR. It even has a built-in next-generation ATSC 3.0 OTA tuner.
There is no indication of the pricing yet, but Quantum Dot OLED TVs don’t usually come cheap, so expect the same for the Samsung QS95B too. Regardless, now that a retail site as major as Value Electronics felt it’s in a position to set up a page for Samsung’s new QD OLED TVs, more official information is set to drop really soon, so stay tuned.
