Earlier this month, an OPPO phone smartphone with the PERM10 model number was certified by the 3C and TENAA certification platforms of China. It now appears that the handset will be debuting soon in the Chinese market with the OPPO K9s moniker.
Posters of the upcoming OPPO K9s have been shared by Chinese tipster WHY LAB. OPPO K9s specifications (expected)
The OPPO K9s’ (PERM10 model number) TENAA listing reveals that it has an LTPS panel of 6.59 inches that produces an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels. It will come preinstalled with Android 11 OS.
The Snapdragon 778G SoC will be coupled with 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM. When it comes to storage, it will offer choices like 128 GB / 256 GB. For more storage, it features a microSD card slot. It has a 4,880mAh battery to keep the lights on. The 3C certification of the device has suggested that it may arrive with support for 30W rapid charging.
The K9s’ rear shell has a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit. Its front side is fitted with a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The power button available on the right edge of the device is integrated with a fingerprint scanner.
The OPPO K9s reminds us of the Realme phone with RMX3461 model number, which is packed with almost identical specs. The RMX3461 will be launching soon in China with Realme Q3s moniker.
Realme is gearing up to launch the Realme Q3s phone. It is expected to go official at some point in this month in China. Reports have revealed that the Realme RMX3461/2/3 that was recently approved by the TENAA authority of China will debut in the home market as the Realme Q3s. Ahead of the launch, the RMX3641 handset has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking site (via) with some of its key specs.
The Realme RMX3641 is powered by a Qualcomm chipset that includes four CPU cores clocking at 2.40GHz and four CPU cores ticking at 1.80GHz. The source code of the listing reveals that the chip is equipped with Adreno 642L GPU. These clues are enough to confirm that the device is powered by the Snapdragon 778G chipset.
The Geekbench listing further mentions that the RMX3641 has 8 GB of RAM, and it runs on Android 11 OS. In the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench 5, the handset scored 791 and 2783 points, respectively.
The TENAA listing of the RMX3641 revealed that it has a 6.59-inch LTPS panel that produces a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Speculations are rife that it supports a 144Hz refresh rate. It remains to be seen whether it will come preloaded with Realme UI 3.0 based Android 11.
The handset is equipped with 6GB / 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of internal storage. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery, which seemingly supports 30W rapid charging.
It has a 16-megapixel on the front for selfies. The rear-facing triple camera unit of the device features a 48-megapixel primary lens, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens.
Taiwanese company Gogoro is riding the crest of turbulence in the political scene with its innovative hot-swappable battery technology for electric scooters. The swappable battery technology will be kickstarted with two leading Chinese brands – Yadea and DJC, with a few of the two-wheel vehicles from these two brands compatible with the technology.
The move is Gogoro’s first large-scale expansion outside its home turf of Taiwan, and the company will hope that its swappable battery technology in both Yadea and DJC e-scooter models will enhance the sale of these models in China. China remains the largest market for electric scooters with over 300 million riders with a huge potential underneath. Yadea is the largest electric two-wheel vehicles manufacturer while DJC is also a renowned e-scooter manufacturer in China.
It is unclear what proportion of the market is targeted by this new Gogoro partnership with the two Chinese manufacturers, but the numbers could rise tremendously if the swappable battery technology is successful in China. Both Yadea and DJC have unveiled e-scooters designed to work with Gogoro’s hot-swappable battery called Huan-Huan. The models mark the beginning of their partnership with Gogoro, and we are bound to see more Gogoro-powered e-scooters from both companies.
The swappable battery technology allows users to scale up the range of their electric scooters by bypassing the wait to charge a depleted battery. Indeed, users can buy e-scooters without a battery at a reduced cost and then rent batteries via a subscription. The billing of the rented battery will be based on the actual power consumption of the battery. Newly charged batteries can be obtained at the nearest Gogoro-themed GoStation within 6 seconds. The operation of the GoStation is enhanced by cloud support for a seamless manner of getting available batteries.
The Gogoro partnership could be scaled up to cover other popular Chinese e-scooter brands and it is bound to expand, as it coincides with the official policy of Beijing to phase out gas and diesel-powered vehicles by 2025. Various incentives have been put in place to drive the policy for a sustainability-oriented transportation system in China in the years to come.

A few weeks ago, Samsung released its latest upper-midrange phone: the Galaxy M52 5G. It is the successor of the Samsung Galaxy M51 and it brings several improvements to the shelves, but its predecessor has still much to say even a year after its release. Despite its very affordable street prices, the Samsung Galaxy M51 remains one of the best battery phones out there and it offers a better camera experience than the new Galaxy M52 5G. These are the reason why the Galaxy M51 may still offer a higher value to several users. And this is the reason why we decided to publish a comparison between Samsung Galaxy M52 5G and Samsung Galaxy M51 highlighting the differences between their specifications.
Samsung Galaxy M52 5G vs Samsung Galaxy M51
Samsung Galaxy M52 5G
Samsung Galaxy M51
DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT
164.2 x 76.4 x 7.4 mm, 173 grams
163.9 x 76.3 x 9.5 mm, 213 grams
DISPLAY
6.7 inches, 1080 x 2400p (Full HD+), 393 ppi, Super AMOLED
6.7 inches, 1080 x 2400p (Full HD+), 393 ppi, Super AMOLED Plus
If we only consider the look of these two devices, the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G looks more beautiful. Its camera module is more minimalistic, the design is thinner and lighter. Both the phones are made of polycarbonate and both come with a single punch hole placed centrally on the display. The screen to body ratio is similar, with narrow bezels on all the sides. The Samsung Galaxy M51 offers something more in terms of build quality because its front glass is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3+, but if we exclude this, there are no important differences when it comes to the build quality.
Display
Samsung Galaxy M52 5G and Samsung Galaxy M51 are equipped with Super AMOLED Plus displays sporting a diagonal of 6.7 inches and a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The image quality is exactly the same and the displays do not come with embedded fingerprint readers. The fingerprint readers are placed at the sides, on the power keys. The only difference between the displays is the refresh rate: the new Samsung Galaxy M52 5G has a 120 Hz refresh rate, while the Galaxy M51 has a standard 60 Hz refresh rate. So, with the Galaxy M52 5G, you can get a smoother viewing experience and it will be useful especially if you are a gamer.
Specs & Software
The 5G connectivity is one of the most important differences between Samsung Galaxy M52 5G and Galaxy M51. On the former, you can get this connectivity, while the latter only supports 4G LTE. Further, the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G has a stronger processor: the Snapdragon 778G mobile platform running at a max frequency of 2.4 GHz, way better than the Snapdragon 730G found on the Galaxy M51. The memory configurations are the same: you can choose 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The internal storage is expandable through a micro SD slot. Note that Samsung Galaxy M52 5G ships with Android 11 out of the box, while Galaxy M51 runs Android 10: with the newer model, you would get longer software support.
Camera
Samsung Galaxy M52 5G has the same main camera as the Galaxy M51: a 64 MP sensor with an f/1.8 focal aperture. On both the phones, the main camera is paired with a 12 MP ultrawide lens and a 5 MP macro camera, but the Galaxy M51 adds a 5 MP depth sensor making its camera setup more versatile. Further, the Samsung Galaxy M51 has a better front camera: we are talking about a 32 MP sensor with an f/2.0 focal aperture and 4K video recording.
Battery
Besides providing a better camera setup, the Samsung Galaxy M51 also comes with a bigger battery and it can achieve a longer battery life. With a whopping 7000 mAh of capacity, the Galaxy M51 is one of the best battery phones in the market and it can also be used as a power bank thanks to reverse charging.
Price
Samsung Galaxy M52 5G debuted in the Indian market with a starting price tag of Rs. 25,999 / $345, while the Galaxy M51 was priced at Rs. 19,999 / $265, but it is currently available at more affordable prices because it is one year old. If we exclude the battery, the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G is a way better phone, but it is more expensive. Which one would you pick?
The latest Microsoft Xbox Series X gaming console is sporting a design reminiscent of the popular cartoon character Spongebob Squarepants, with the matching controllers to boot. The new colorful Xbox Series X gaming console goes alongside the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, a multiplayer game consisting of characters like Spongebob Squarepants, the Legend of Korra, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and others.
The new Xbox Series X Spongebob Squarepants-themed gaming console is a limited-edition product and is not for sale. There are no indications yet on the actual number of units of the console that will be available for the giveaway competition but that information will become available as we inch towards the final day of competition.
The driving concept for the Spongebob Squarepants Xbox Series X seems a good match between the Microsoft Xbox console and the cartoon character, albeit without its legs. It is expected that the giveaway competition for the Spongebob-themed Xbox Series X will draw more cartoon fans to the expanding Xbox customer base. The Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl will also accentuate the appeal for the Xbox Series X, as it sports a mixture of iconic characters cut across several comic franchises.

It has been almost a month since the last Apple launch event which was for the iPhone 13 series and new iPad models. Apple has now announced that it will be holding another hardware launch this month, specifically on October 18.
The Apple event is expected to be for the launch of new MacBook Pro models that will be powered by a new chipset dubbed the Apple M1X, a successor to the Apple Apple M1 announced last year.

Out of all these features, he specifically states that MiniLED is confirmed.

According to Samsung in a press statement, both the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 can withstand 200,000 folds without being damaged. To put this humongous figure in proper perspective, if a user averages about 50 folds in a day, it will take about 10 years to accomplish 200,000 folds.
The video showed the smartphone undergoing immersion in water, environmental chamber testing, and the S Pen testing. The video shows that both smartphones will keep working even in extreme weather conditions. It is however also advised that the phones should not be left in salty seawater or swimming pools.

In addition, Black Shark will also be launching the first TWS headset built exclusively for gamers along with the 4S series. The earphones will sport a “Mecha-style” design that can achieve “ultra-low latency.”

Huawei has quietly announced a new smartphone in Europe. The new device is the Nova 8i and it has made its debut in Germany.

Huawei is offering the phone in Moonlight Silver and Starry Black and has put a price tag of €349 on the phone according to an Amazon listing shared by Roland Quandt. While they are now selling for €59, getting them for free is even better.
Laser rangefinders have come to replace the traditional measuring tape as they not only offer ease of measuring data but are also compact and less cumbersome to use. With laser rangefinders, the margin of errors is also reduced drastically. Xiaomi has previously launched a couple of rangefinders manufactured by its eco-chain partners. The company has now launched the first MIJIA-branded one dubbed MIJIA Smart Laser Rangefinder.
The MIJIA Smart Laser Rangefinder has only one control button that can be turned on by long-pressing it for 2 seconds. A short press starts the measurement while double-clicking the button switches the front and back benchmarks. The single-button design makes it easy to operate the device.
The body is made of lightweight aluminum alloy and high-strength engineering plastics, which not only have a matte appearance but are also more wear-resistant and scratch-resistant. After a short press to launch the gadget, it can display the current length in real-time. The rangefinder uses a precise and stable Class II laser, which is as close as 5cm and as far as 40m.
The MIJIA Smart Laser Rangefinder is equipped with dual-shot single-receiving laser heads. The complex steps of the laser emission calibration-display data series are completed in an instant, and the data accuracy can reach ±3mm, which is accurate and stable.
In addition, the gadget supports multiple functions such as connecting to mobile phones and linking with the MIJIA app to realize data synchronization, length/area/volume calculation, floor plan surveying and mapping, drawing sharing, and viewing effects.
The smart laser rangefinder has a built-in high-brightness LCD display that can display current measurement data, historical measurement data, measurement standards, units, power, and other information. In terms of battery life, the built-in 370mAh lithium battery can measure 3000 sets of data when fully charged.
As for the prices, the MIJIA Smart Laser Rangefinder is officially available on Xiaomi Youpin at a retail price of 199 yuan (~$30) while it will be sold under crowdfunding for 169 yuan (~$26). The crowdfunding will commence at 10:00 am on October 13 via Xiaomi Mall and Xiaomi Youpin.
Sony isn’t known for releasing phones on a spree and with launches like the Xperia 10 III Lite, Xperia 1 III, Xperia 5 III, and Xperia 10 III, it was thought that the company is done and dusted with their offerings for 2021. However, the Japanese company has now surprised us all with their latest announcement.
Sony took to Twitter today to declare a new “Xperia Product Announcement” to be held on October 26. No other information was provided apart from this. However, considering the fact that Xperia is the brand name of smartphones and tablets from Sony, it is safe to assume that the product to be launched will indeed be a tablet or phone.
Another peculiarity is the image used by Sony for its announcement. It can be said that it is a rather cryptic portrayal of light falling on a camera lens, although it could just be us overthinking things and it’s nothing but art.
If it indeed is a phone, then it could be from a brand new series. But of course, there’s no evidence pointing towards the product being a smartphone in the first place.
Sony will perhaps be kind enough to satisfy our curiosity with more of such teasers ahead of the launch. If not, then all we can do is wait for the said October 26 launch date.
Regardless, the launch will be streamed via YouTube through its @sonyxperia channel on October 26, 2021, 12:00 JST or October 25, 2021, 23:00 EDT, so stay tuned. Until then, let us know what you think the Sony Xperia product announcement will have in store in the comments below.
The Xiaomi 11T Pro is the latest flagship smartphone from the company that offers top notch features and hardware. Now, a new teardown video offers us a look at the inside of the smartphone revealing its layout.
The disassembly video was shared on YouTube by PBKreviews who tore the device down to showcase its internal and rate its reparability. In the video, the YouTuber found that the smartphone used an abundance of thermal materials used to keep the smartphone cool. These heat dissipation materials include graphite and copper. After opening the back panel the channel found a number of screws that had to be removed before reaching the main internal components like cameras.
The plastic cover above the cameras houses the NFC module, antenna lines, and a large graphene film strip that can be found above the battery pack. Furthermore, the device features a dual battery structure with each module having its own connection cable.
