New Chinese manufacturer OnePlus has been making waves in the build up to launching their flagship One smartphone. The OnePlus One runs a CyanogenMod S11 UI on Android 4.4 Kit-Kat. Here are some of the cool ways the UI makes operating the device a delight.

By the end of the month, three flagship Android phones from Chinese manufacturers will be on the market. Each boasts different state-of-the-art features, with the camera as a major focus for the Vivo Xshot and the Oppo Find 7. OnePlus put a lot into their camera as well, but the new upstart manufacturer decided to focus more on price as a selling feature.
Vivo Xshot was revealed earlier in a major event at the Water Cube, and will be available soon. Oppo Find 7 is taking pre-orders to be shipped on May 29th, and OnePlus One will be available in the 64GB Blackstone version in late may. For simplicity of comparison we will only be looking at higher-end version of each device.
Chipset, RAM and OS/UI
Oppo Find 7 and Vivo Xshot both use the Qualcomm 801 Snapdragon MSM8974AC chipset, OnePlus One features the higher-end Snapdragon Krait 400 CPU, and all three are quad-core and clock in at 2.5 GHz. Oppo uses their popular ColorOS 1.2 UI on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, OnePlus uses the Android 4.4 KitKat-based CyanogenMod 11S, and Vivo uses their own Funtouch OS UI also running KitKat.

OnePlus and Vivo have similar 1080×1920 pixel 1080p resolutions. The Vivo Xshot has a 5.2 inch screen, white Oppo and OnePlus feature 5.5 inch screens. One of Oppo’s strongest selling features is its cutting-edge resolution with a staggering 1440×2560 pixel screen providing 538ppi pixel density.

Oppo had suggested the Find 7 would be able to take 50 MP photos, this is still somewhat true, though the camera itself is the same Sony IMX214 used by Vivo and OnePlus. 50 MP photos are created by using Oppo’s “Super Zoom” feature which rapidly snaps 10 photos and creates a photo that is technically equivalent to a 50 MP photo. Oppo also claims that users can capture video not only in 1080p, but also in 120 fps slow-motion at 720p.

The Vivo Xshot has a permanent battery which is the weakest of the three at 2,600 mAh. OnePlus also has a permanent 3,100 mAh battery. Oppo has made innovations to their removable 3,000 mAh battery, it features VOOC tech that allows the phone to charge from dead to 75% in just half an hour, miles faster than its average competitor. The phones are evenly matched in connectivity all offering 4G LTE, WiFi and GPS. The Xshot has 32GB storage, and the Oppo comes with 16GB, both are expandable. OnePlus has 16GB and 64GB models, though it’s likely that 16GB versions will be hard to come by.

Here is where OnePlus really shines. Their top end 64GB smartphone costs a meager $350, which is amazing considering its top-end features. The Oppo Find 7 will cost around $565 and the Vivo Xshot is asking $580.

The Oppo Find 7 has a lot going for it, namely its vibrant screen, high-tech camera features, and fast charging removable battery. But this model has more features than its predecessor Ascend P6. It has 5” 1080p display. It also boosts 8 MP front camera and 13 MP rear shooter camera with f/2.0 aperture size. the front camera can take panorama images.
It is powered by 1.8 Ghz quad-core processor which is encased in 6.5mm thick frame. It has 2 GB of RAM, Extendable memory to 32GB microSD card. Its original memory is 16GB. The battery is 2500mAh gives long talk time. Gorilla Glass 3 on both the front and rear.
That was hardware specs, now lets look at software. Huawei comes in built Android 4.4.2 KitKat alongside its own Emotion UI 2.3 . This comes with many applications such as Image Signal Processor ISP that gives control over different camera settings.
Also included with Ascend P7 is Super Power-saving mode that will start itself when the battery is less than 10 percent left. Once on the system will dim the screen and allow only vital phone functions like voice call and contacts. Huawei contends this 10 percent battery capacity can last for 24 hours.
The colour of Huawei Ascend P7 will be black, white and pink. It is to be sold at €449. The device will be launch in the market in May in only a few countries which include china, the UK, Germany, Italy, France, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. The company said that the Ascend P7 will be launched later in other markets, but did not specify as to when it will be launched.

Vivo Xshot launch event just ended a few minutes ago in Beijing, the new generation smartphone equips top level hardwares and the latest Fun Touch system base on Android 4.4 kitkat OS. The Vivo Xshot powered 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC processor, 3GB RAM and a Sony IMX214 OIS f1.8 13-megapixel camera.
The revelation, OPPO Find 7 is out there for preoder, though only in China, shipping to other countries will start from 29th of May.
OPPO announced much hyped Find 7 in two versions. Find 7a, still has powerful muscles though not equal to much hyped Find 7. Find 7a sports 5.5 inch display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution. It has 2.3 Ghz quad-core variant processor called Snapdragon 802. Internal Memory is 16 GB, which you can extend through SD Card. RAM is about 2 GB. Everything else is similar to its variant Find 7.
The OPPO Find 7 is the real offer. It has 2K display with resolution of 2560×1440 in 5.5 inch color display. Which makes pixel density of 538 ppi. Which is probably the highest in mobile phones. RAM is increased 1 GB from its cousin version Find 7a which sports 2 GB RAM. With 3GB RAM and memory to 32 GB which could be extended up to 128 GB. 13 mega pixel camera may have disappointed some but OPPO responded with capability of shooting 50 MP photo! With rapid charge VOOC technology that charged for 5 minutes can keep mobile alive for 2 hours.
Find 7 is coming with a similar but less accessorized version 7a . OPPO finally opening the door for the real offer that is Find 7. The official launch is scheduled to be held at 29th May. Prospective buyers can preorder Find 7.
