Design

Do you prefer having a better overall look or the most premium materials? If the first option is your favorite one, then go for the Realme 6. With its punch-hole display and its reflective glass back, it looks very gorgeous to be just a midrange phone. But if you prefer having better materials, choose the Redmi Note 8T since it is the only with a glass back. I am not a fan of the design of the Samsung Galaxy M21 due to its huge camera module and its more anonymous plastic body. Note that only the Realme 6 offers protection against water, it is splash resistant.

Display

The real battle is between the Samsung Galaxy M21 and Realme 6. The former should offer a more interesting color reproduction thanks to its AMOLED display boasting more vivid colors and deeper blacks. On the other hand, the latter offers a smoother user experience with a high 90 Hz refresh rate and a 120 Hz touch-sampling rate. That is why Realme 6 is a better choice for gamers. Do you prefer a display with explosive colors or a smooth one?

Redmi Note 8T has an IPS display with a Full HD+ resolution just like the ones you can find on most of the affordable mid-range phones. None of these devices features an in-display fingerprint scanner: the Realme 6 has a side-mounted one, while the others have a rear-mounted biometric sensor.

Specs & Software

Realme 6 is much better than Samsung Galaxy M21 and Redmi Note 8T if we talk about hardware. It has a stronger Helio G90T chipset which boasts very high CPU and GPU performance. It is not a flagship-class processor, but it is an upper-midrange SoC on a phone sold at a very affordable price. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy M21 comes with the most efficient chipset which, paired with a huge battery, will guarantee a low energy consumption and a very long battery life. Redmi Note 8T runs Android 9 Pie out of the box, while Samsung Galaxy M21 and Realme 6 are based on Android 10.

Camera

On the paper, the best camera setup belongs to Realme 6. It is equipped with a quad camera including a 64 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide sensor, a dedicated macro camera, and a depth sensor. Samsung Galaxy M21 is supposed to be better at selfies with its 20 MP camera, but it also comes with a better 5 MP depth sensor. However, we have doubts about the photo quality of the primary sensor. On the paper, Redmi Note 8T is supposed to be more or less at the same level as the Samsung Galaxy M21 and it is inferior to the Realme 6.

Battery

The huge 6000 mAh battery of the Samsung Galaxy M21 not only makes it the winner of this comparison but also one of the best battery phones ever. Right after, there should be Realme 6 with its 4300 mAh battery.

Price

You can find the Redmi Note 8T in India for less than Rs. 11,000 / €135, Realme 6 is priced Rs. 13,990 / €172, and Samsung Galaxy M21 starts from Rs. 12,999 / €160. With its better chipset, cameras and a 90 Hz display, Realme 6 is definitely a more interesting handset and we pick it as the winner of this comparison. Redmi Note 8T is cheaper and offers a higher value for money, but it can not compete with its opponents when it comes to specifications (even though it is the only with NFC and a glass back). Samsung Galaxy M21 has an AMOLED display and a way bigger battery, so we think certain users may prefer it to the Realme 6.

Finally, Xiaomi put a remedy to this by launching a more advanced version of the device in the Indian peninsula: the Redmi Note 7S. Will this variant be enough to beat the strong competition from the other big brands in India? Among the hardest devices to beat there are the new Realme 3 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy M20 which are doing very well in India and we believe they will do even better. Here is a complete specs comparison between the three candidate best-sellers of 2019!

Design

While I do not like the Samsung Galaxy M20 that much, Realme 3 Pro and Redmi Note 7 looks very gorgeous in renders. But there is a major difference between them once you hold them: the materials. While the Realme 3 Pro has a cheap plastic body, the Redmi Note 7S has a way better glass back protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5. The glass back makes it way more beautiful and premium. On the other hand, Realme 3 Pro has a higher screen-to-body ratio, so narrower bezels around the display. But I personally think that having a phone with better materials is more important than having slimmer display bezels. Do you agree?

Display

Samsung devices, especially mid-rangers, usually distinguished from the mass due to their better display panels. Unfortunately, that is not the case with the Samsung Galaxy M20. In order to sell the device at a more competitive price, the Korean giant cut on the display by equipping this budget-friendly device with a TFT panel. So the Galaxy M20 is not the device you should look for if you need the best display. On the other side, Redmi Note 7 and Realme 3 Pro come with average IPS panels. Our suggestion is not to choose your preferred device by basing on the display quality which is not so different between these handsets.

Specs & Software

The hardware is probably the department which will influence a big part of the public while choosing which of these mid-rangers to purchase. The handset which offers the best overall performance is the Realme 3 Pro as it comes with a more powerful SoC. We are referring to the Snapdragon 710 by Qualcomm which comes with better CPU and GPU compared to both its rivals. The second place goes to the Redmi Note 7S which is equipped with the old but gold Snapdragon 660, still a great alternative to the Snapdragon 710 on its price range. Realme 3 Pro also comes in the best memory configuration with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, so there is no chance for Redmi Note 7S and Samsung Galaxy M20 to beat it.

Camera

The clear winner when it comes to the camera department is the Redmi Note 7S. As mentioned above, rear cameras are the key feature of this mid-ranger. It boasts a main 48 MP sensor which provides a higher level of detail if we compare it with the concurrency, as well as a secondary depth sensor. But the Samsung Galaxy M20 remains an interesting camera phone as it is the only to feature an ultrawide secondary sensor, so do not underestimate it. If we talk about the front camera, then Realme 3 Pro wins the comparison due to its way better 25 MP sensor.

Battery

The battery king in this comparison is the Samsung Galaxy M20 with its huge 5000 mAh unit. If you do not put it too much under load, it can even reach and pass three days of battery life on a single charge.

Price

Redmi Note 7S debuted with a price starting from about €140/$155, while Realme 3 Pro starts from €200/$225 just like the Samsung Galaxy M20. Overall, I personally prefer the Realme 3 Pro because of its better chipset, but the Redmi Note 7S has a very high value for money.

These two devices carry very similar price tags and their prices are even similar to the older sibling Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) released in the second half of last year. If you want to know which Samsung mid-ranger you should opt for, go ahead with this specs comparison.

Design

The award for the design and build quality goes to the Samsung Galaxy A30. Its rear side is not made of glass like flagship devices, Samsung called it “3D glasstic” because it is essentially a plastic back that looks like glass, but the device is very solid and it has an aluminum frame. Samsung Galaxy A30 is also one of the few affordable devices with a waterproof body. It has the IP68 certification. The second place goes to the Galaxy A7 2018 with its elegant and minimal glass back. But the bezels around the display are thick, unlike the other two devices which come with a waterdrop notch and very narrow bezels. Samsung Galaxy M20 has a cheap plastic design.

Display

On the display side, Samsung Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A7 2018 are the most convincing ones as they have a Super AMOLED panel with more brilliant colors. I would personally go for the Samsung Galaxy A30 because of its taller 6.4-inch panel and narrower bezels. But if you hate the notch, you may prefer the Samsung Galaxy A7 2018. The Galaxy M20 comes with a lower-end TFT display.

Specs & Software

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) is equipped with slightly better hardware, at least in its most expensive configuration. It arrives with up to 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage, while Samsung Galaxy A30 and M20 stop at 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) has a slightly different SoC with a higher clock frequency but the same GPU. Note that Samsung Galaxy A30 comes with Android 9 Pie out of the box, while the others are based on Android Oreo.

Camera

The most powerful and interesting camera department is the one on board of the Samsung Galaxy A7 2018. On the rear side, it has a triple camera setup with a 24 MP main sensor, an ultrawide lens, and a depth sensor. And it even has a very nice 24 MP selfie camera. Right after, we got the Samsung Galaxy A30 which still comes with a bright aperture but lacks the ultrawide sensor and it has a selfie camera with a lower 16 MP resolution.

Battery

Finally, a department in which Samsung Galaxy M20 wins: the battery life. With its huge 5000 mAh unit, it can even last three days if you do not stress it too much. However, the Samsung Galaxy A30 remains an amazing battery phone thanks to its efficient components and its 4000 mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 takes the last place, but it is thinner thanks to its smaller battery. Samsung Galaxy M20 and A30 support 15W fast charging.

Price

Samsung Galaxy A30 costs about €220/$250 in the Asian market, Samsung Galaxy M20 carries the same price in the global market and even Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) is available for €220 in the global market thanks to online street prices. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy A30 is definitely a better handset thanks to its great display, waterproof certification and well-balanced specifications, but it will cost more in the global market.

Unlike the previous model, this device has also a global version that comes with slightly different specifications, so it will not be limited to the Indian market. However, the initial launch will happen in India, that is why we decided to compare it with other devices launched in India that will soon hit the global market just like it. We are talking about the Samsung Galaxy M20 and the new Redmi Note 7, that is also the first Xiaomi phone after the separation of Redmi from Xiaomi. These devices are very different phones, but we can not say the same about their prices, so a comparison is perfect right now in order to find out which one is worth the money asked.

Design

In order to cut costs, Oppo and Samsung opted for cheap materials for their affordable devices. We can not say exactly the same about the Redmi Note 7 as it comes with a more attractive glass back. It is not the most resistant phone out there as the endurance tests recently showed, but it is still above-average when it comes to the build quality, and it is also the most beautiful device of the trio. Despite the absence of an IP certification, Redmi Note 7 is also one of the few affordable phones equipped with water resistance, as revealed from the first teardowns.

Display

Samsung usually adopts its Super AMOLED panel for midrange and flagship series, while equips its entry-level line-ups with LCD panels. Samsung Galaxy M20 has a sufficient Full HD+ display, but Redmi Note 7 seems slightly better. And it has also a more resistant glass thanks to the Gorilla Glass 5 protection that is one of the strongest ones for smartphones glasses. Oppo Realme 3 totally loses the fight because it comes with a just HD display: its grade of detail is not enough to make it compete with its rivals from Samsung and Xiaomi. But we still appreciate its screen-to-body ratio and its narrow bezels.

Specs & Software

Realme 3 comes in two versions with different chipsets: one has Helio P60 and it will launch globally, while the other has Helio P70 and it is for the Indian market. Both are more or less at the same level as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 since it is equipped with the Snapdragon 660 chipset which is a direct rival of the Helio P60 and P70. The Helio P70 looks slightly more powerful, but the Redmi Note 7 has a configuration with 6 GB of RAM that overclasses the Realme 3 coming with up to 4 GB of RAM. Samsung Galaxy M20 loses the comparison due to its lower-end Exynos 7904 chipset that is inferior to the Snapdragon 660.

Camera

As the Redmi Note 7 boasts the new Samsung’s sensor with a huge 48 MP resolution, it wins the camera comparison. It delivers more detail as well as more light, for more detailed photos. There is definitely no challenge as this sensor is way better than the dual cameras found on the Samsung Galaxy M20 and Realme 3. The Galaxy M20 should come at the second place with sufficient photo quality, but there should be only marginal differences between the Galaxy M20 and the Realme 3. In not any of these cases we are talking about high-end camera phones, but the Redmi Note 7 definitely offers something more. It is also the only device able to record videos in 1080p with a very high frame rate up to 120 fps.

Battery

Batteries are really strong points of these smartphones: all of them feature a high, above-average battery capacity. However, the most insane is the Samsung Galaxy M20 which reaches 5000 mAh. With so huge capacity, it should have the longest-lasting battery and it delivers up to two days of battery life on a single charge. It even supports a fast charging technology, even though Redmi Note 7 is the one that charges faster than everyone thanks to Quick Charge 4 and a max power of 18W.

Price

Realme 3 starts from just €110/$125 in the Indian market, Redmi Note 7 hitten the Chinese market with a price tag of €130/$147 and Samsung Galaxy M20 costs about €200/$225. Despite its price is not the most affordable one, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 wins this comparison due to better camera performance, a better hardware department, and a higher-end design and build quality. But its opponents still offer a very high value for money, especially the Realme 3 by Oppo whose price tag makes it almost a gift for Indian customers. Which one would you pick?

Currently, Energizer is not among the most important smartphone manufacturers, but thanks to this kind of device it may earn a lot of consensuses this year. Here, we compared the new handset with the other biggest battery phones released in the last period boasting similar specifications: Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Samsung Galaxy M20. They do not have a so big battery, but they come with other important advantages. Go ahead with the comparison to learn about them.

Design

Besides coming with a mammoth battery, Energizer Power Max P18K Pop also has one of the most innovative aesthetics thanks to its pop-up selfie cameras, and a screen-to-body ratio close to 100 percent without a notch. But due to its huge battery, it is very thick, more than twice the thickness of its rivals. So it is not exactly the best device to have in a pocket. I personally prefer the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 because of its more beautiful back and the strong Gorilla Glass 6 protection for the display, but some may prefer the Samsung Galaxy M20 for its higher screen-to-body ratio and its smaller notch or the Energizer Power Max P18K Pop for its more innovative design. It is all about tastes.

Display

We often tell you that you should not care so much about the display when you are about to choose a midrange device such as these ones, as most of the times they are equipped with similar IPS displays. That is exactly the case with these three handsets. Samsung Galaxy M20’s display should be slightly below-average, but without any noticeable difference compared to its opponents. The most interesting display is surely the IPS panel of the Energizer Power Max P18K Pop because of the absence of a notch and its incredibly narrow bezels on all the sides.

Specs & Software

On the paper, the Mediatek Helio P70 chipset inside the Energizer Power Max P18K Pop is superior to the Snapdragon 660 of the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and to the Exynos 7904 found on the Samsung Galaxy M20. The Energizer device also comes with a more powerful memory configuration boasting 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. So, it is probably the winner when it comes to performance. It comes with stock Android just like the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2, but unlike it, the OS is based on Android Pie. Samsung Galaxy M20 has a heavier and customized Android version based on Oreo.

Camera

Energizer Power Max P18K comes with a total of five cameras: three on the back and two pop-up selfie snappers on the front. On the paper, it definitely offers more, so it may be the winner even in the camera comparison. But we will have to test those cameras in order to give a definitive verdict.

Battery

Energizer Power Max P18K Pop comes with a monster 18,000 mAh battery, so there is no chance that Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Samsung Galaxy M20 will be able to reach its battery life with their 5,000 mAh. Energizer Power Max P18K Pop will be able to achieve several days of intensive usage on a single charge, while Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 can last about two or three days. Noone of these devices seems to sport a fast charging technology, so expect very slow charging times, especially for the Energizer’s flagship.

Price

The listing price of Energizer Power Max P18K Pop, that is also the winner of this comparison, will be probably unveiled at MWC 2019 in Las Vegas. Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 costs about €270/$305, while Samsung Galaxy M20 carries a very affordable €150/$170 price tag.

Design

When it comes to affordable phones, for me the look is not everything. I also care about the build quality and if you want your device to last several years you should too. If we only consider the look, Samsung Galaxy M20 is the most attractive handset due to its thinner bezels and its small Infinity-V notch (even though some may prefer the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 due to its reflective plastic back), but if we also consider the build quality, then Moto G7 Power wins. It comes with a sturdier aluminum frame and it is also splashproof, so it can be used under the rain. But note that this protection will be available only in selected markets, as well as the Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the display. Further, note that Zenfone Max Pro M2 comes with the Gorilla Glass 6 protection.

Display

Despite coming with the advanced LTPS IPS technology, Moto G7 Power is excluded from the display comparison because of the low resolution of its display: it is just an HD+ panel, while Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Samsung Galaxy M20 are Full HD+. Judging from the specs on the paper, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 should offer a slightly better display quality due to the better technology. It is also protected by Gorilla Glass 6 that is the strongest protection even seen on a mobile device for a display, while Samsung Galaxy M20 does not offer so advanced protections for the glass.

Specs & Software

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 has a superior hardware side to both Moto G7 Power and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2. Actually, there is not any device from the Moto G7 series, neither from the M series, to have a more advanced hardware department than Zenfone Max Pro M2. The component making it superior is the Snapdragon 660 chipset that delivers better performances with advanced usage patterns and gaming. Further, it has more RAM in its most expensive variant: up to 6 GB. Note that Moto G7 Power is the only to come with Android Pie out of the box.

Camera

Unfortunately, we still had no chance to test the cameras of Samsung Galaxy M20 and Moto G7 Power because no much time has passed from their official announcement. But we know their specs, and on the paper, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 is better. It has a rear dual camera with a brighter aperture and a bigger pixel size, as well as a higher resolution for the front camera equipped with a front-facing LED flash. While these things do not necessarily mean that Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 will click better photos, they raise the chance that it will be a much better camera phone.

Battery

All of these devices offer the same battery capacity: 5000 mAh. But there is one of them that should last definitely more than its opponents: the Moto G7 Power. We believe that it will offer a longer battery life due to the low resolution of its display, its efficient and less powerful Snapdragon 632 chipset, and its stock Android version. But only testing it thoroughly will confirm these thoughts.

Price

Moto G7 Power will cost about €210/$240, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 comes with a €270/$305 price tag and Samsung Galaxy M20 costs just €150/$170. Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 is the best device overall, while Samsung Galaxy M20 has a higher value for money.

Design

A lot of midrange smartphones owners have to deal with ugly aesthetics or cheap materials. It is not the case with the Huawei P Smart (2019) that comes with a design similar to flagships. It has a very beautiful glass back with gradient colors, as well as a borderless display coming with a minimal dewdrop notch. Lenovo S5 Pro GT is not as beautiful as the Huawei P Smart 2019, but it comes with a more solid build quality due to its full metal unibody design. Further, it has an IR face recognition system and stereo speakers making the design uglier but improving the functionalities. Samsung Galaxy M20 comes with the highest screen-to-body ratio, but i do not like its body too much and Huawei P Smart 2019 is definitely better aesthetically.

Display

Besides having the most beautiful design, Huawei P Smart (2019) has also a display with the most advanced technologies that can deliver a better viewing quality. Lenovo S5 Pro GT is at the same level, but it has a way bigger notch that looks a bit anachronistic. Despite that, I prefer the Lenovo S5 Pro GT as a multimedia phone because it features louder stereo speakers that can guarantee a better experience with videos. Even though it has narrower bezels, Samsung Galaxy M20 takes the last place when it comes to display and multimedia.

Specs & Software

The Kirin 710 chipset found on the Huawei P Smart (2019) is the one which proved to a more powerful chipset compared to the Exynos 7904 on the Galaxy M20. However, Huawei P Smart (2019) comes with max 3 GB of RAM, that is not so much to push that chipset to the top. So for multi-tasking lovers, Galaxy M20 may result better. But overall I would choose the Lenovo S5 Pro GT because it comes with the more powerful Snapdragon 660. It is also the only one to sport up to 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage. And besides over-classing the performance levels of the Kirin 710 in the most demanding scenarios, it is also very efficient in terms of energy consumption.

Camera

Lenovo S5 Pro GT has the most unique and surprising camera department. On the rear side, it has a dual setup with 12 and 20 MP sensors that can perform 2x optical zoom without losing details. On the front side, unlike its opponents, it boasts another dual camera that consists of a main 20 MP sensor and a depth sensor to enhance the bokeh effect with selfies. The second place goes to Samsung Galaxy M20 which comes with the classic main sensor + depth sensor configuration on the back, but it captures bright shots.

Battery

Given its much bigger battery (5000 mAh!) and the usual software optimization by Samsung, we believe that Samsung Galaxy M20 will have up to twice the battery life of Lenovo S5 Pro GT and Huawei P Smart 2019, at least in some scenarios. That does not mean that its rivals have short battery life, but Samsung Galaxy M20 is one of the longest-lasting phones on a single charge so far.

Price

Lenovo S5 Pro GT wins the comparison due to its better performances, excellent cameras and useful additional features such as stereo speakers and IR face recognition. It costs about €200/$226, while Samsung Galaxy M20 debuted in China for €150/$170 and Huawei P Smart 2019 costs about €250/$285.

It has an Infinity-V display with a very small waterdrop notch and very narrow bezels. If you want a more attractive rear side, you should go for the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 because even though it is made of plastic, it is more beautiful and original. But if you are searching the best build quality, Motorola One Power is the best one as it is solid and splash resistant. Given that we are talking about midrange devices made of cheap materials, I would go for the Motorola One Power due to the better build quality. But note that Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 has a more resistant display with the Gorilla Glass 6 protection.

Display

The best display and audio experience is the one offered by the Motorola One Power. It has a wonderful LTPS panel with high brightness and wide viewing angles, and it also supports Dolby Audio for improved audio quality, even though it has a mono speaker just like its rivals. The second place goes to the IPS panel of the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 but there is not an abyssal difference between these two panels. Samsung Galaxy M20 has a less convincing display on the paper, but on the other hand, it offers narrower bezels.

Specs & Software

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 has the most powerful hardware side as it comes with the better Snapdragon 660 chipset and up to 6 GB of RAM in its most expensive version. Motorola One Power is powered by a less powerful Snapdragon 636, but it comes with Android One, a stock version of the operating system updated directly by Google, which offers a very smooth user experience. Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 has stock Android too, but it is not part of the Android One program, while Samsung Galaxy M20 has slightly lower-end hardware with a customized Android experience.

Camera

Samsung’s midrange phones always distinguish from the mass due to their satisfying rear cameras, and in this case, it is exactly the same. The Galaxy M20 has great rear cameras and it is able to shoot detailed photos in most scenarios, even though it is far from top camera phones. But, at least on the paper, Motorola One Power seems a slightly better camera phone. We will have to test the Galaxy M20 thoroughly to give a definitive verdict, but the phone is still not available in the global market, so we will have to wait for a while.

Battery

All these phones are focused on battery life and all of them feature an above-average 5000 mAh battery. Batteries like these can make you forget the charger for at least two days, even with stressed usage patterns. It is not easy to quantify the battery life differences of these devices as they vary with the usage and we still had no chance to test the Samsung Galaxy M20. However, all of them are outstanding battery phones. As for now, I would choose the Motorola One Power because it is the only one to feature a fast charging technology that is very important with a so big battery.

Price

If I had to choose one of these phones by basing on the quality-price ratio, I would surely go for the Samsung Galaxy M20 because it costs just €150/$170. But overall, if I do not consider the price, I prefer the Motorola One Power because of Android One, its great display quality, and its very nice build quality. Both the One Power and the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 come with a price of about €270/$307 which goes slightly up or down depending on the market and online street prices.

But is it enough to let consumers choose it?

Design

You should not go for the Samsung Galaxy M20 if you are looking for the most attractive design. Instead, I would choose the Honor 10 Lite because it has a cleaner design and a more unique look. First of all, it comes with a very small dewdrop notch. And it even has a stunning glass back available in gradient hues, with a very small surface for cutouts. Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 has a lower screen-to-body ratio and I consider it less attractive, but it definitely comes with better build quality. Indeed, it has the Gorilla Glass 5 protection as well as water resistance.

Display

I like slightly more the display of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 because it should be more resistant and it comes with a small notch and a slightly bigger diagonal than Honor 10 Lite. The PLS TFT technology of the Samsung Galaxy M20 does not convince me too much and I prefer IPS displays due to its viewing angles and good brightness. However, do not expect a noticeable difference between these displays. Despite we choose a winner for the display comparison, you should not choose one of these mid-rangers considering the display as one of the most important things.

Specs & Software

The challenge is between the Honor 10 Lite and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 because I define their hardware departments slightly better than Samsung Galaxy M20. While the Kirin 710 chipset offers solid performances in everyday use, Snapdragon 660 is definitely more powerful when it comes to games and graphics apps due to its better GPU. I would personally go for the Honor 10 Lite at least in its most expensive configuration because it comes with up to 128 GB of internal storage. But soon Xiaomi should launch a Pro version of Redmi Note 7 with 128 GB of storage that will be superior. Note that Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and Honor 10 Lite have Android Pie out of the box, while Galaxy M20 is still based on Oreo.

Camera

Given that it was made official just a few days ago, we still did not try the rear camera of the Samsung Galaxy M20. But we can say that the 48 MP sensor of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is superior on the paper and it should be a lot better in most of the scenarios. The rear department of the Galaxy M20 comes at the second place. Instead, if you are looking for a selfie-centric device, then Honor 10 Lite is the best choice for you thanks to its great 24 MP shooter with AI-backed features.

Battery

Battery life is the strongest point of the Samsung Galaxy M20 which can last more than two days of intensive usage thanks to its 5000 mAh lithium unit. Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 remains one of the most incredible phones when it comes to battery life thanks to its 4000 mAh battery, but it does not reach the Galaxy M20. Honor 10 Lite is average.

Price

You can currently get a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 or a Samsung Galaxy M20 in Asia for $150/€130 and €150/$171, respectively, while Honor 10 Lite costs about €210/$240. Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 wins the comparison because of its well-balanced specs, very affordable price, good camera capabilities and a great hardware side.

While we have already seen the leaked images of the phones featuring Infinity-V display, a new leak shows the Galaxy M20’s back panel.

The leaked image of Samsung Galaxy M20’s back panel confirms that the smartphone will come with dual rear camera setup and a fingerprint sensor for added protection. The camera module is located vertically in the top-left corner along with an LED flash while the fingerprint sensor is placed in top-center position.

As for the specifications, the smartphone will come with a 6.3-inch PLS LCD display with 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ screen resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device will be running on a 14nm Exynos 7885 octa-core processor along with 3GB RAM.

Coming to the camera department, the phone will feature a 13-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual-camera setup on the back. Details about the front-facing camera is not yet known. Running on the Android operating system, the phone will come with a large 5,000mAh battery.

According to the reports, the Samsung Galaxy M20 will be priced at Rs. 12,990 in India, which roughly converts to $182. The Galaxy M-series is Samsung’s new take to revamp its strategy in the budget smartphone segment in India and it will be interesting to see how it performs.

Read More: Samsung Galaxy A60 (aka A8s Lite) with punch-hole display rumored to debut in Q2 2019

The Galaxy M-series will have better specifications than its budget Galaxy J-series. Samsung is hoping the Galaxy M-series, which is expected to be an online-only lineup, to help the company facing cut-throat competition in the mid-range smartphone segment in India.

As per the reports, the South Korean giant will launch two phones under its M-series, which could possibly be named Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20.

Ahead of the official announcement, a couple of images of the Galaxy M20’s cover shows that the phone will come with a dual rear camera setup and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom. Earlier, an image leaked online showcasing the phone’s front panel which revealed that it will have a notched display.

The camera sensors are placed vertically in the top-left corner along with an LED flash. There’s also another cutout in the top-center position, which possibly is for the fingerprint sensor. It is expected to come with a USB Type-C port at the bottom.

The Samsung Galaxy M20 is rumored to be powered by the Samsung’s own Exynos 7885 upper mid-range processor, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The device is said to feature a Full-HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels with an unknown screen size and will be running Android Oreo operating system out-of-the-box.

The company has reportedly started mass production of both the smartphones in India, suggesting that the official launch of the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 is imminent. Recently, we reported that the smartphones will be priced aggressively to win the highly-competitive budget smartphone segment in India.

According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy M10 could be priced under Rs. 10,000 (approximately $142) while the Samsung Galaxy M20 could be priced around Rs. 15,000, which roughly converts to $213. Considering the aggressive pricing, it won’t be surprising if Samsung keeps the M-series as an online-only smartphone series.

While the company has not yet revealed the launch date or availability information of the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 smartphones, we expect the phones to go official early next year, possibly during CES 2019 or MWC 2019.
